LloydCross
Hi! New to TEW this year and still figuring everything out, looked through the manual but I either couldn't find the right section or am a little confused about the given explanation - also tried using the search function to see if this had been answered already but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for; I have a few questions about the way that angles affect things like popularity and momentum. 1. Does storyline success have any effect on pop/momentum gain? As in if I determine that someone in an angle has a 'Major Success' - does that make any distinguishable difference than just 'Neutral'? 2. If someone is 'Not rated' in an angle - do they see any of the benefits of the angle i.e. pop/momentum gain? 3. Is it possible to build the popularity/momentum of someone 'off screen' before they debut? i.e the Fiend Video packages before his first match? A separate question unrelated to angles - Can a worker lose pop if they have a low rated match, even if they win? I have had Lucha Bros winning the majority of their matches against Unrecognisable/Recognisable teams, but rather than Reys popularity going up, its dropping significantly. (Is also in a storyline considered 'hot' and hasn't been affected by any bad press.) Thanks for any help. 1. Yes. It's basically the angle version of a win/loss and affects momentum accordingly. 2. No. Not rated is something like where a promo is aimed at them, but not really about them to the extent that who they are would impact anything. Think a promo where a guy (let's call him Boris) hypes himself up for a while and just drops "And that's why I'm going to beat Jeff at Summerslam" at the end. It's reasonable to say that promo is part of a storyline between Boris and Jeff but Jeff really isn't involved. In comparison, if the whole promo is Boris talking about Jeff and how much he hates Jeff, you should probably rate Jeff on Overness or something. 3. Not sure. I don't think angles rate very highly when nobody's on screen, but it might be able to do some work on pop. At least I'd think it could help get them to the minimum level. For the last thing, I think so. It can definitely hurt their momentum at least.
christmas_ape
Does anybody know if changing a gimmick for someone HAS to change it for all alter egos? Let's say you're trying to replicate 4 faces of Foley. You could argue that 4 Faces of Foley would be the gimmick, and then you'd have 4 alter ego you could swap between. But realistically each one had it's own gimmick. Ideally I'd like to swap between different personas, with one using a comedy gimmick, one using legitimate and so on. BigINMoldova
How do I make my child company run events? They're AI controlled so I don't think it's a hiring issue. I've also given them a referee and a road agent but the company still refuses to run any shows. I've got them on a semi-monthly schedule but whenever an event comes up they don't run it for some reason. It's kind of a waste having all of my guys in developmental and not working. Eisen-verse
In TEW 16, you could vary your product settings for the match/angle ratio at a 10% difference (i.e. I'm supposed to have an 80% match rate on a PPV with the SWF but could book the match rate at 70% and still not get dinged negatively). Is that still the case in TEW 20?

Is that still the case in TEW 20? It was 15%, not 10%. Still the case although it may be something like 14.9% now, I think - I feel I've been exactly on 15% below the rate I need and been dinged for it, so I always add an extra minute of matches on and am fine that way. sonofpaul
After playing the game for the last month or so I think I am ready to try some mods out. Where is the best place to find good mods? I know there is a site dedicated to this but I don't know much about it, what their reputation is as far as quality, or if there are other options. sonofpaul
Mods forum, further down the page here. Ok. Do you know anything about the mod site (tewdb.com)? Are they reputable? You can't even see what is there without signing up so I can't really tell much.
goldendragon
<p>Any way to make the AI Booking stricter with tag partners teaming together?</p><p> </p><p> Running a Sim where Vince dies, Shane/Steph dissolve WWE, form their own companies and just trying to see how it plays out. The game seems to form 4-5 tag teams a week between these 2 companies, but they seem to team together that first time then rarely after if at all, usually teaming with other people instead. </p><p> </p><p> The weirdest example of this is Street Profits have formed their own teams in the same company. Ford's partner is Matt Riddle, while Dawkins teams with Brian Cage. Yet when I check the shows Ford and Dawkins have teamed together in 6 mans, and even in straight tags more than with their official partners. This company runs 2 shows a week and they team together at least once a week. Tried to check the editor to see if I can set the teams as Unit if they weren't already to see if it helps but it can't be changed. Any ideas?</p>

d12345
<p><p>I'm back with another momentum related question. Do PPV wins mean more to a worker's momentum than TV wins/losses?</p><p> </p><p></p><p> I ask this because in this TCW save Chance Fortune dropped to Cool Momentum in January after 2 losses. Since then I've booked him to win 10 straight TV matches with his only 2 recent losses coming on PPV. He is still at Cool Momentum.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> He has a standard gimmick. KevinStorm
Is there a way to turn off the penalty for not building up a turn? I keep forgetting to set turns so they build up in segments before I do it, and now my turns are failing just because too many of them have been sudden. Try unchecking "Enable Disposition Change Timings" in preferences. It's not specifically meant for that (it's meant so that you can turn a worker any number of times without it being 'too soon'), but the 'not enough buildup' penalty might be turned off at the same time.
