Rhino vs. Heavy Metal

Metal would appear to have potential, but Rhino's on the warpath, HM doesn't have much of a chance here. Rhino's the kind of guy that really needs to be booked strong in order for his gimmick to work. If he loses too much, then he'll just look like a big snarling douchebag. However, if he's tearing people in half every night, then he looks like the destructive monster that he plays so effectively.

Marc Mero vs. Jerry Lynn

I stay adamant in thinking that Jarrett will eventually win the IC Title, and that Lynn will be the first to challenge him, and perhaps defeat him, for the belt. Plus, Mero's going with the whole "Hey, I suck, hate me plz" angle.

The Darkside vs. Super Loco and Taka Michinoku

These guys have stalled slightly since debuting, haven't quite looked as strong as they probably should have been presented, they should really win here.

Jim Niedhart vs. Bret Hart

Niedhart is someone who I thought could've been a little bigger then he was during this time, but a win over Bret on TV just doesn't seem plausable..

Farooq vs. British Bulldog

The Nation's days of Domination are far behind them, and Bulldog's just a little too big for Farooq to start the stable's comeback over.

The Rock vs. Sid Vicious

Either that, or a draw. This would be a pretty big upset, as even though Rocky's gaining popularity, he still hasn't gotten big wins yet, and it's still a tad early to be hot shotting him up the card. Plus, I don't think he's going to be involved in this McMahon team vs. Austin team feud, and if he were to upset Vicious, then he would likely be paired with Austin against McMahon's side.

Four on Three Handicap Match

Kane, Kurt Angle, Bam Bam Bigelow and Vader vs. The Undertaker, Steve Austin and Shane McMahon

I know Austin's sort of a godmodder in these types of matches, as is Undertaker, but with Shane as their partner, it's essentially four-on-two, and it would be a bit of a burial to have McMahon's side lose this match. Especially on the part of Kane/Taker. If Undertaker can beat Kane with a four-on-two disadvantage, then how much suspense could there be the next time Taker and Kane go one-on-one?

Rhino vs. Heavy Metal

Keep the destructive beast gimmick going.

Marc Mero vs. Jerry Lynn

Never liked Mero, but I have a soft spot for Jerry. :D

The Darkside vs. Super Loco and Taka Michinoku

Super Loco and TAKA are going to job here I'm afraid

Jim Niedhart vs. Bret Hart

Keep Bret looking strong.

Farooq vs. British Bulldog

Like Zeel said. Plus I always liked Bulldog lol.

The Rock vs. Sid Vicious

The Rock's gaining popularity, but I can't see him getting a win over ol' Sid here. Maybe he'll laugh as Sid stuffs up a promo. :p

Four on Three Handicap Match

Kane, Kurt Angle, Bam Bam Bigelow and Vader vs. The Undertaker, Steve Austin and Shane McMahon

Keep the heat going, but I see Taker and Austin doing really well.

Ross: 10000 strong packed here in the…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Break it Down!

http://i47.tinypic.com/2m6kef8.jpghttp://img204.imageshack.us/img204/7406/tripleh1998mt7.jpghttp://i29.tinypic.com/vfk2gp.jpghttp://img175.imageshack.us/img175/8372/billygunn19982gk3.jpghttp://img80.imageshack.us/img80/570/jessejames1998dc9.jpg

Ross is cut off by the arrival of Degeneration X.

Michaels walks purposefully from the back as the others struggle to keep up. He clearly isn’t happy at the decision made last week.

Michaels: Yeah that’s right JR. Shut your fat little hole it’s time to break this f**king show down.

Cornette is nearly in stitches at the announce table following the unexpected dig at Ross, who is clearly infuriated by it all.

Michaels: We can do whatever the hell it is we want and there ain’t no stopping us, but what has really pi**ed me of is the treatment I’m receiving around this place. I’m the god damn WWF Champion and I deserve respect.

The crowd boo Michaels clearly not feeling the same way.

Michaels: Think what the hell you pieces of garbage want to think, but it’s the truth. For all the effort I put into putting on a show for each and every one of you every night I get nothing in return. Let’s rewind a bit shall we. After I lost this belt way back in December did I get a rematch? No I f**king didn’t! I had to take matters into my own hands and make sure I won that Rumble match to win back the rematch I rightly deserved, but then that big oaf Sgt. Slaughter poked his big nose around the corner again and tried to take the shot away from me, but he just couldn’t do it. I beat Owen in the cage beat, then I beat Mankind at Mania and if I have to I’ll beat both Owen and Mankind at Unforgiven because I am The Showstopper. I am Shawn Michaels your WWF World Heavyweight Champion and you lot better get used to it.

http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/2192/mankind1998rs8.jpg

The music of former Champion Mankind sounds around the arena and he comes out to meet DX in the ring.

Mankind: You think you’re being treated unfairly? Where the hell is my one on one rematch? Instead I have to go against you and Owen and I don’t even have to be pinned to lose it. That is a handicap for me if ever I’ve heard one.

http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/2623/owenhartwa7.jpg

Inevitably Owen Hart’s music sounds up and he receives the biggest pop of them all. The crowd have really grown on him these past two months and Mankind’s sneak attack on him last week has just further made him the fan favourite going into Unforgiven.

Owen: I hope you not implying that I’ll be the on to get pinned?

Mankind: Could be. Everyone knows what’s more likely to happen.

Owen: Do they hell! There is no chance that ill be pinned in that match. Infact I’ll be the one walking out with that strap by the end of it.

Mankind: What makes you so sure then Owen? That little attack I gave to you last week dislodged your brain?

Owen: It is my turn. Neither of you can stop me from living my dream at Unforgiven. You seem to be forgetting that I beat that son a bi*ch over there at Mania in what any are already calling match of the year. You don’t think I can do Mankind then you’ll be in for a nasty shock come the end of the pay per view.

Mankind: Oh really?

Owen gets right into the face of Mankind and the two go nose to nose.

Owen: Really.

Suddenly both men are attacked from behind by the whole of DX. A five on two beatdown commences and the two challengers didn’t stand a chance. Michaels manages to superkick both of them amidst the chaos and then DX left to the back.

Farooq vs. British Bulldog

http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/2077/ronsimmonsas9.jpgvs.http://i27.tinypic.com/1zmkuhl.jpg

Farooq really thought this was the turning point he needed to revitalise his Nation and it probably could have been if he hadn’t come up against a strong, motivated Bulldog who new he had to prove that himself and Niedhart could win their tag match against Bret Hart and Triple H at Unforgiven. The two wrestlers didn’t pair up for a great opener and the match was slow and sluggish containing a few botches moves by both men aswell. Bulldog overcame Farooq after a running powerslam.

Winner: British Bulldog

Match Rating: D-

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Backstage The Rock is sat around laughing and joking with a number of wrestlers including Bradshaw, Edge, Christian and Jerry Lynn when Marc Mero comes over to approach them.

The Rock: So then he tells The Rock that she tried to stroke it and he still couldn’t get it up!

They all burst into laughter and Mero draws closer.

The Rock: Oh, hey there Marc.

The Rock just can’t keep it in and all five laugh even harder.

Mero: What the hell is this about?

The Rock stands up and puts his arm around a distraught Mero.

The Rock: It’s nothing man really. Just a bit of banter between these guys and The Rock. (Lowering his voice) So how’s it all going now down in that department?

Mero: Still no luck I’m afraid Rock.

The Rock: That sucks man. You go out there tonight and kick some jabroni ass and you’ll forget all about it. The Rock will be kicking some jabroni ass later when he Rock Bottom’s that great big lump Sid Vicious.

Mero: You make it sound so easy.

The Rock: When you’re The Rock, it’s simply a stroll in park. Now, The Rock has to go get ready to hand Sid’s candy ass to him.

The Rock strolls away down the corridor as Mero looks back at the four men still sitting at the table. They start to s****** again as Mero just scowls at them before leaving aswell.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jim Niedhart vs. Bret Hart

http://i31.tinypic.com/125pbox.jpgvs.http://i29.tinypic.com/vfk2gp.jpg

Niedhart knew he was out of his depth here and attempted to keep Bret on his feet in the early going as he Irish whipped him from corner to corner. Finally Bret managed to ground Niedhart and began his mat approach with a number of effective submissions. After causing Niedhart a fair degree of pain he locked on the sharpshooter for the win making sure to keep it on a little longer as the bell rang.

Winner: Bret Hart

Match Rating: B

Triple H storms to the ring to join Bret Hart for a beat down of Jim Niedhart. The two throw punches and kicks into Niedhart before Triple H hoists him up the pedigree position. Before he can send Niedhart down to the mat the music of British Bulldog hits and he comes sprinting down to the ring cleaning house. He tosses both men over the ropes and then tends to his fallen tag team partner.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edge and Christian are walking backstage laughing and joking to each other. As they turn the corner they walk right into WWF Commissioner Ric Flair who is carrying a steaming hot cup of coffee to his office with him. The coffee goes everywhere.

Edge: Sorry man. We’re really sorry. Let me get that for ya.

Edge pleads his innocence as Flair looks set to explode, his brand new luxury suit completely covered in coffee. Edge dabs Flair with a towel that Christian grabbed off a nearby cruiserweight.

Flair: AARRGGG! Get your filthy mitts off me and hand we that god damn towel!

Flair starts dabbing himself with the towel and Edge and Christian cast each other worrying glances.

Christian: Errr… You ok then dude? Maybe if you get a shower you’ll feel right as rain?

Flair looks up at Christian, his face glowing red, coffee dripping from his chin. This prompts Christian to take a step back as he ushers Edge forward.

Edge: So we’re gonna take off. Oh one minute if you don’t mind. Well me and my bro here think we’ve been totally kicking ass recently. I mean really laying into those asses so how about you let us be the first to face the new tag team champions at Unforgiven.

Flair looks ready to snap back two simple letters, but then suddenly realises that they would be taking on the gigantic frames of Vader and Bigelow who have been dominating everything in their paths since joining forces.

Flair: You two got your fine young selves a deal. You and the tag team champs at Unforgiven. Woooooo!

Christian: Really? You’re the best, man. We won’t disappoint. Come on edge lets go tell mama the good news.

The two rush off down the corridor as Flair continues to grin whilst dabbing his coffee stained shirt.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rhino vs. Heavy Metal

http://i35.tinypic.com/2saf28o.jpgvs.http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/6286/heavymetalfg7.jpg

Rhino was enraged from the start and this become evident as soon as the bell rang as he came running at a terrified Heavy Metal looking for the Gore. Metal juked out of harms way though as Rhino catapulted into the turnbuckle post. Metal seized his chance and caught Rhino in a small package, but the dominant superstar powered out after two. Heavy Metal tried to keep Rhino on the ground as he stomped away, but Rhino just shook it off hitting a huge belly to belly throw before charging at Metal with a Gore.

Winner: Rhino

Match Rating: D-

After the match Rhino beckoned for a microphone from ringside. His request was quickly granted from a member of the ringside crew.

Rhino: Steamboat you old withered has been. You got lucky the other week and I need to put things straight. You ain’t never seen anything like me and I’m ready to prove it at Unforgiven. What you say old man?

http://i45.tinypic.com/qzghdx.jpg

Steamboat appears on the titantron to a decent pop from the crowd.

Rhino: What the f**k?! Get your ass out here to the ring!

Steamboat: You’re not telling me where to go Rhino! I’m not intimidated by you and at Unforgiven this is one Dragon that you will not be able to slay.

Rhino suddenly drops his microphone and pounces on the rising Heavy Metal tackling him down to the ground again with a gore sending a clear message to the on looking Steamboat.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Owen Hart is seen strolling down the corridor when he stops in front of the locker room entitled ‘Mankind’.

Owen: Ok, Mankind, enough is enough. We need to end this now and focus on taking out that little toe rag…

Owen looks around notices Jeff Jarrett dressed as Mankind looking at himself in the mirror.

Jarrett: You know what Dusty. I really don’t think this dressing up game is for me.

Goldust appears dressed as Owen Hart.

Goldust: Come on Jeffrey. It’s the best fun a guy could have, apart from… you know. Oh hey Owen. Didn’t see you there. Care to join us?

Jarrett quickly pulls off all the gear he is wearing upon noticing Owen.

Jarrett: What the hell is wrong with you?

He storms off into the small room where Goldust had appeared from as Owendust just stands there transfixed on the real Owen Hart.

Owen begins to close the door, but Goldust calls for him to come back.

Goldust: Hold on a sec there Owen fella. Just a quick question.

Owen: Shoot.

Goldust: How do you get your hair like that cos I’ve been trying everything? Seriously everything and I just can’t seem to do it.

Owen slams the door behind him and then stands there outside the locker room looking confused completely forgetting what he had come here to do. His mind then snaps back into gear and sets off down the corridor looking for Mankind.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marc Mero vs. Jerry Lynn

http://i25.tinypic.com/1zpmalw.jpgvs.http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/276/jerrylynnkd2.jpg

Unfortunately for Mero he came up against a wrestler in Lynn who thrived on making people pay for their mistakes and Mero was making many. In the end it was a routine win for Lynn after he connected with the cradle piledriver to pile further misery onto Mero who can’t do anything right recently.

Winner: Jerry Lynn

Match Rating: D+

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shane McMahon is talking to somebody backstage. When it appears to be none other than ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin the crowd goes crazy.

Shane: You ok after last week?

Austin casts Shane a confused look.

Austin: After what?

Shane: You don’t remember? Three of them beat you down in the ring!!

Austin: Oh that. Course am ok. It takes more than that to keep this Rattlesnake down.

Shane: But they could have done you some serious damage man and I can’t come out and stop em.

Austin: You better not be suggesting what I think you are.

Shane: Eh. I’m just saying it like it is. I’ve been getting on really well with a few guys in that locker room recently and they’d be more than willing to help us out.

Austin: You just don’t quit do you? The answer is NO! Shane. End of discussion.

Shane: But Steve.

Austin: Shut the hell up Shane. Didn’t you hear me the first time. I don’t work in groups. Ole Stone Cold works alone. Now I’m growing to like you Shane so don’t go and throw that all away. If you wanna go follow some other poor bas**rd around then be my guest, but we got a match tonight against some of those Corporation sons of bi*ches so we better be getting ready.

Shane: How are we gonna cope with them though? It’s just me and you.

Austin: I’m really getting sick of all this questioning Shane. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s under control. Vince is the one who should be worried not you. Now come on we go get them cans of whoop ass to open tonight.

Shane and Austin take off down the corridor, but as soon as they turn the corner the Tag Team Champions, Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow send them crashing back around. They lay the boot into both men for a bit before walking off along with their straps leaving Shane and Austin clutching at their ribs.

The Darkside vs. Super Loco and Taka Michinoku

http://i28.tinypic.com/2d1s615.jpghttp://i30.tinypic.com/2qd31xy.jpgvs. http://i31.tinypic.com/2604gi0.jpghttp://img150.imageshack.us/img150/4974/takamichinokucf2.jpg

Very, very similar to the match last week involved Super Loco and Taka Michinoku. The two cruiserweights excited the crowd throughout, but were constantly stopped by the powerful offence of The Darkside who wanted to get back on track after the new team of Edge and Christian had stolen the limelight from them. They managed to do just that though after hitting a new double team finisher which the announcers hyped over as ‘Lights Out’. Gangrel held Super Loco in a dragon sleeper as the slightly more agile Vampiro ascended the turnbuckle and came crashing off along with his 260lb of bulk connecting on Super Loco with a splash.

Winners: The Darkside

Match Rating: D-

http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/189/kanemask1998vn6.jpghttp://i47.tinypic.com/1ympld.jpg

Kane accompanied as usual by his mentor Paul Bearer hit the ring and slowly walk down to ringside.

Bearer: Come on Undertaker. We know you can’t hide away any longer. After what we did to your family last week you have to come out here and fight Kane again at Unforgiven.

http://i36.tinypic.com/14ipjwz.jpg

Just then the lights go out and the music of The Deadman blares out around the arena. When light returns The Undertaker appears on the titantron looking as intimidating as ever, his eyes rolled back into his head and his long dark hair covering his face.

Undertaker: Last week you committed a sinister crime. A crime so evil that I now have nowhere to go. Nowhere to sleep at night and you stand there looking proud in my yard. You wanted a rematch Kane well you sure as hell have one.

The crowd pop at the prospect of Undertaker and Kane going at it again.

The Undertaker: It won’t be an ordinary match though. Last week we all saw how much you like playing with fire so let’s see how you like it when your yards away. When you can feel its hot, burning fumes scaring your skin and singeing every last hair on your body. At Unforgiven Kane, you and me in an inferno match!

The crowd pop louder not quite knowing what an inferno match entails, but they like the concept nonetheless.

The Undertaker: At Unforgiven Kane, you will… Rest In Peaceeee!

Paul Bearer looks taken a back in the ring. He clearly didn’t expect fire to be involved in a rematch between Kane and Undertaker. Kane however just points at Undertaker before waving his hand at a stack of cardboard on the ramp which immediately burst into flames.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

If Ya Smell… What The Rock… Is Cooking!

The Rock comes down to the ring ready in his wrestling attire for his prominent match with Sid Vicious. He takes a microphone from ringside and begins to address the crowd.

The Rock: Finally The Rock has come back to Colorado! Oh yes, the great one had arrived and is ready to electrify and entertain the millions and MILLIONS of Rock’s fans like only The Rock can. So jabroni, get your candy ass to this ring and get ready go ONE ON ONE with the Great One! If ya smell lalalowww what The Rock is cooking!

The Rock tosses the microphone out of the ring and prepares for his opponent.

The Rock vs. Sid Vicious

http://i49.tinypic.com/2eeh4pz.jpgvs.http://i45.tinypic.com/2j45xlv.jpg

The crowd really got behind The Rock here badly wanting him to cause the upset over Sid Vicious. Sid as usual was no selling everything The Rock threw at him and it seemed to take double his effort to move the big man. Sid even powered out of a Rock Bottom to further frustrate the charismatic rising star. After some great offence from The Rock failed to put Sid away, the big man managed to get on the offence himself and torment The Rock for a bit. As Sid was going to put Rock away with a Powerbomb, Marc Mero rushed from the back wielding a steel chair and cracked it right around the back on Sid who just clenched up before turning on Mero. The referee immediately rang for the bell and handed the victory to Sid.

Winner: Sid Vicious via Marc Mero interference

Match Rating: B-

Mero wasted little time in getting out of the ring; he dragged out The Rock aswell who didn’t look best pleased with what Mero had done.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Owen Hart is seen backstage wandering down a dark dreary stairwell. As he gets further down a voice can be heard coming from a room that is lit up very lightly.

Owen: Mankind? That you down there?

Mankind: It could be.

Owen: Ok Mankind. Just listen up a minute would ya. I know we had out differences last week and earlier tonight, but I’m ready to put all that aside for one week in order to gain a jump Shawn because lets face it he’s getting an easy ride here while we beat each other up and argue.

Mankind: How do I know your not just gonna attack me at the first chance you get?

Owen: If anything I should be the one worrying about you attacking me. You did it last week.

Mankind: So I can trust you 100%?

Owen: You sure can. We need to even the odds in this one otherwise neither of us will have a chance come Unforgiven.

Mankind: Ok then let’s do it. We need to look out for each other next week and only next week, but by Unforgiven we’re back to enemies.

Owen: That suits me. I got your back next week and I hope you have mine.

Mankind nods towards Owen and then extends his hand which Owen, after hesitating momentarily, takes and the two share a short, sharp handshake.

Four on Three Handicap Match

Kane, Kurt Angle, Bam Bam Bigelow and Vader vs. The Undertaker, Steve Austin and Shane McMahon

http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/189/kanemask1998vn6.jpghttp://i47.tinypic.com/34rxij5.jpghttp://img413.imageshack.us/img413/346/bambambigelowku3.jpghttp://i48.tinypic.com/6xt7y0.jpgvs.http://i36.tinypic.com/14ipjwz.jpghttp://i34.tinypic.com/2pqnjhd.jpghttp://i35.tinypic.com/6sc7qe.jpg

Kane started the match out which led to The Undertaker and Austin arguing about who should face him. Ultimately the Deadman won and began a brutal fist fight with Kane which resulted in the two brawling onto the outside. Eventually they were in the crowd, The Undertaker not giving a damn about the ten count that the referee had just reached. Ric Flair quickly sauntered down to ringside and ordered the match to be restarted without Kane and The Undertaker who were still brawling their way through the crowd.

This left Austin and Shane at an even bigger disadvantage as they lost possibility the most dominant man in the entire man. Austin seemed reluctant to tag in Shane who had proven a hindrance in these types of matches before, but the two of them worked together well in the early stages. Soon enough though the numbers game caught up with them and Shane, who was the legal man, got caught up in a two on one assault by the tag team champions. This was the point where Shane showed just how resilient he was. He clearly didn’t want to let Austin down who was crying out for a tag in the corner.

After kicking out of some powerful moves from the tag team champions Kurt Angle ordered Vader to tag him in. He instantly lowered the arms on his vest and began stalking Shane before locking on the ankle lock. Shane instantly writhed around in pain reaching out for the tag on Austin, but Angle just pulled him away. Suddenly Shane gathered up enough power to stretch out and tag Austin who was quick to enter the ring. He went for a clothesline on Angle, but he ducked. Austin reacted quickest booting him in the gut before sending him crashing down to the mat with a stunner. The same fate was applied to the tag team champion’s aswell, but they rolled out of harms once to the outside. Austin then tagged in Shane who leapt onto the top rope looking to put away the fallen Angle.

Austin jumped onto the outside straight into a right hand from Bam Bam Bigelow who began shaking his hand showing the impact has hurt him aswell. The tag team champions and the steel steps then carried out a brutal assault on Austin as Shane leapt from the top rope looking for an elbow drop on Angle, but the Olympic Gold Medallist rolled out of the way. He instinctively locked on the ankle lock for a second time tonight and poor Shane just couldn’t take anymore punishment.

Winners: Kane, Kurt Angle, Bigelow and Vader

Match Rating: B-

The assault continued post match and just become even more brutal as they didn’t have to worry about disqualifications. Angle carried on punishing Shane with the ankle lock until he was completely out of it. He then went to the outside and hit an Angle Slam on Austin before locking on the ankle lock onto him. The show faded out from the ring as Angle was utilising the hold on Austin.

The camera quickly cuts backstage to catch a glimpse of the brawl that was still going on between Undertaker and Kane. Undertaker was on top and didn’t seem to be giving in anytime soon as his only goal was to punish Kane for the sick event he carried out last week.

Thanks once again to everyone who keeps predicting, commenting or just plain reading despite the timespan of each update at the moment. Ive just been very busy with college and now we don't have to go, work. The new year will see me have much more free time in which to write shows so they should be coming more frequently in the future.

WWF Raw is War Preview

http://i34.tinypic.com/2ywh5ww.jpg

The final Raw before Unforgiven plays host to one of the most destructive main events your ever likely to see as ten men battle it out in a huge five on five tag match. The winners will be riding a big wave of momentum into the pay per view.

Raw is definitely the place to be this week as recent newcomers Rhino and Kurt Angle look to increase their stakes with some big wins this week. Rhino teams with Sid to take on his enemy at the moment Ricky Steamboat and perhaps the fastest rising star in the business at this current time, The Rock. Kurt Angle has been getting the better of everybody recently as only debuting at the start of the month. Already people are talking about how far he can go in the WWF and this week he'll be looking to add further misery the duo of Shane and Austin by beating the McMahon this week.

All of this and much, much more so don't forget to tune into Raw this week as we get the final card for Unforgiven!

Marc Mero vs. Jim Niedhart

I've never liked Mero.

Vader vs. Christian

If this was set a few years later (in game time) I'd vote Christian, but Vader's one of your more over guys, so Vader.

‘The Man Beast’ Rhino and Sid Vicious vs. Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat and The Rock

Upset victory to show that they could both beat their respective opponents.

Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Edge

Edge could be a future major player, but for now I'll go Bam Bam.

Shane McMahon vs. ‘The Wrestling Machine’ Kurt Angle

I predict shenanigans.

‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin vs. Farooq

Even interference won't stop Stone Cold from a victory.

‘Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart, Kane and Jeff Jarrett vs. Mankind, Owen Hart, British Bulldog, The Undertaker and ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Man’ Ken Shamrock

Going for the heels with this one.

Sorry for the delay in between shows this past month guys. I didn't think i'd be this busy, but a sincere lack of freetime has meant I have struggled to write shows. The next Raw should be up within the next couple of days with the PPV following not long after and we should be back to normal at last.

WWF Raw is War

Ross: Hello everyone and welcome to Raw is War. We have a teriffic line up in store for you tonight as we are just six days away from Unforgiven and of course six days away from that explosive triple threat match between WWF Champion Shawn Michaels, Mankind and Owen Hart.

Lawler: That will be one heck of a match JR and tonight we have a huge five on five tag match combining so many different feuds.

Cornette: What about the Inferno match between Kane and Undertaker. That will also be at Unforgiven and will be like nothing we have ever seen before. Can you imagine your flesh burning because that is the fate that awaits one of those two crazed monsters.

Ross: That one will be an hellacious match up i'm sure, but lets get to tonights show.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://i31.tinypic.com/34e6g0k.jpg

The music of Jeff Jarrett hits the arena and he struts down to the ring accompanied by is accessory, Goldust who sort of limps around behind him trying to keep up.

Jarrett: Take one good look because this is the last time you’ll see Jeff Jarrett on Raw without a gold belt wrapped firmly around his gorgeous waist. Shamrock’s had a good little run as Champion, but he knows, I know, Goldust knows, you all know that his time is up in six days. If you ask me, I should be up there main eventing the pay per view and challenging for a much bigger title, but I suppose I have to save all you lovely Americans out there because I am appalled we have an Irishman holding our Intercontinental Title.

The crowd begin to boo Jarrett’s reference to Shamrock.

Jarrett: No, no, no. It’s alright because I’ll put things right at Unforgiven and you’ll never have to see Shamrock carrying around that belt anymore.

http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/8081/kenshamrockxt7.jpg

Ken Shamrock’s music plays out and he comes out to a great ovation and stands on the ramp.

Shamrock: I don’t know what is more insulting. You trying to offend my Irish heritage or you actually thinking you can beat me at Unforgiven.

Jarrett: I can beat you.

Shamrock: Oh just shut up. You can talk bulls**t with the best of em. Why don’t you and your little buddy go into the back and do what ever it is you do and let the poor people who paid for a ticket tonight actually get their moneys worth. They didn’t come to see you talking crap. I think they’d much rather wait for Unforgiven when they can see you getting your ass kicked courtesy of the Intercontinental Champion.

Marc Mero vs. Jim Niedhart

http://i25.tinypic.com/1zpmalw.jpgvs.http://i31.tinypic.com/125pbox.jpg

With such a big match in prospect at Unforgiven for Niedhart, he saw this as a perfect opportunity to gain some much needed momentum. Thankfully for Niedhart, Mero’s recent poor form and mistakes along with his own determination to get the win was just the recipe he needed to cook up an easy win to make his opponents at Unforgiven a little more aware than they were before.

Winner: Jim Niedhart

Match Rating: D-

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We head backstage where the whole Corporation (Ric Flair, Vader, Bam Bam Bigelow, Kane, Paul Bearer and Kurt Angle) are gathered around Vince McMahon.

Vince: We’ve got a big night ahead of us in six days time and I need to know if you’re all ready for it. Kane. You have to face The Undertaker is one of the most barbaric matches that I’m sure we’re ever going to witness here.

Bearer: If your wondering whether Kane is ready well I can tell you that he most definitely is. The Undertaker needs to be taught a lesson and Kane is the man to burn him down to the ground.

Vince: That’s what I wanted to here. With Undertaker out of the way we have the chance to take back this company and enforce strict laws.

Bearer: What about Austin? We have Undertaker under control, but what about your man?

Flair quickly intervenes.

Flair: Austin isn’t a problem. His refusal to recruit anybody else is playing into our favour. His stubbornness will get the better of him before long. We need to concentrate on taking the WWF Title and this man right here (he points at Kurt Angle) is the man to do just that. Wooooooo!

Vince: So you see, we have to tools to become the biggest and most successful group professional wrestling has ever seen. I don’t care who gets in our way, things will change from now on. You’ve got Degeneration X who strut around this place like they own it, but no more. Austin, Undertaker, DX everyone will fall at the hands of The Corporation and we will reclaim power here in the WWF.

Vince puts his hand in the middle and ushers everyone to follow.

Vince: Corporation!

The Corporation: Corporation!!

Vader vs. Christian

http://i48.tinypic.com/6xt7y0.jpgvs.http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/5543/christian1998lt5.jpg

A classic big man versus little man match for you here. Christian spent much of the early going dancing around under Vader much to the crowd’s amusement as every Vader attempted strike missed its target, but this strategy wasn’t really getting Christian anywhere. Before long Vader had caught Christian and started to punish him for his taunting early on. Vader dominated most of the match from here on in, but to throw doubt into the tag team champions minds ahead of their title defence, Christian managed to roll up to big man and looked to have it won, but Vader powered out with incredible tenacity sending Christian nearly three feet into the air. He then ascended the rope and dropped down on Christian with the splash to cause the pinfall.

Winner: Vader

Match Rating: D+

The Rock is wandering backstage when he finally stops outside the door of Marc Mero. He enters, but after looking around it sounds like nobody is around. Then the beautiful Sable emerges from the back only wearing a towel around his waist. As The Rock sees her his eyes begin the widen and he is fixated on one particular spot.

Sable: Oh Rock! I didn’t see you there.

For once The Rock seems to be lost for words, his eyes still staring.

Sable: I do have a face ya know.

The Rock seems taken a back and then begins to stutter.

The Rock: I…I…I… The Rock’s sorry about that. It’s not everyday you see something like that though.

Sable: I’ll bet. What was it you wanted?

The Rock: Well The Rock was here to see Marc Mero, but he can clearly see that isn’t going to happen so The Rock will be on his way.

Sable: Not so fast Rock.

The Rock gulps and turns around wondering what Sable could want him to stay for.

Sable: What am I getting in return?

The Rock: In return for what?

Sable: Well you’ve just seen me naked so I think the expression is tit for tat?

The Rock: Oh…Ooohhh.

Sable takes Rock’s hand and leads him back into the shower room. The Rock seems on edge as he keeps checking back at the door thinking that Mero would burst through at any second. The Rock and Sable vanish behind the wall and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler is clearly annoyed at ringside.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Backstage we can see Shane an unknown wrestler’s locker room. Said wrestler is in the shower and Shane is behind the wall. A muffled voice was interacting with Shane.

Unknown: I’ll help you in any way that I can. I don’t like any of them Corporation guys.

Shane: Thanks a lot man. I know Austin keeps saying he doesn’t need help and he has the situation under control, but we’re getting our butts kicked every week and I’m sure he’ll agree we could do with at least one new face.

Unknown: I agree with you Shane. This is escalating into a war and however much Austin thinks he has it under control, he doesn’t. You need help and am here to offer that to you.

Shane: I really appreciate it. I knew I could count on you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

‘The Man Beast’ Rhino and Sid Vicious vs. Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat and The Rock

http://i35.tinypic.com/2saf28o.jpghttp://i45.tinypic.com/2j45xlv.jpgvs.http://i45.tinypic.com/qzghdx.jpghttp://i49.tinypic.com/2eeh4pz.jpg

These two could be a candidate for most intimidating team of the year. Rhino and Sid worked well enough together, but the big problem was that they both wanted the limelight for themselves. The Rock was at his electrifying best as he really got the crowd into the match. Towards the climax of the match Rhino was beating on Steamboat in the corner until Steamboat managed to reach out and tag in his partner, much to the delight of the crowd. The Rock nailed each with a Rock Bottom as Steamboat ascended the top rope. Rhino rolled out of the wing as Sid stumbled to his feet and caught Steamboat in mid air throwing him over the top rope. The Rock quickly reacted with a clothesline onto Sid which sent him crashing awkwardly over the rope. Feeding off the sudden change in momentum The Rock let out a great roar before turning around into a terrifying Gore! Rhino hooked the leg for the three count.

Winners: Rhino and Sid Vicious

Match Rating: C

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We head backstage once more where this time The Nation are sitting around in their locker room. Farooq is once again trying to motivate his team mates.

Farooq: Tonight is the night guys. The night when the Nation of Domination returns as a dominant force in professional wrestling. I will beat Steve Austin tonight and it will be the start of a fresh new beginning for our group.

He stops with a surprised look on his face as Kama and D’lo begin to stand up.

Farooq: What are you doing?

Kama: We’re through with this man.

Farooq: What do you mean by that?

D’lo: It means we don’t want to be a part of your group no more. We’ve been losing everything recently and we think it’s time we went our separate ways.

D’lo and Kama turn around and walk out of the locker room as Farooq calls back for them to return.

Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Edge

http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/346/bambambigelowku3.jpgvs.http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/949/edge1998lk4.jpg

After witnessing Christians coming close earlier against his team mate, Bigelow was out to make sure he didn’t face the same fate at the hands of Edge. He was cautious in the early going, but soon found himself on top and hitting some devastating power moves. Despite much domination at the hands of Bigelow, Edge was still fighting and actually caused a shock win after nailing the big man out of nowhere with a spear showing that the tag match at Unforgiven is definitely not a foregone conclusion.

Winner: Edge

Match Rating: D

We go backstage into the dressing room of Degeneration X who are all playing a quiet game of cards. A big pile of money is in the middle of the table and Bret Hart and The Outlaws are watching with astonishment as Michaels and Triple H are betting against each other.

Triple H: Let’s see what you got.

Michaels revealed a pair of tens and a pair of queens. He looks at Triple H tries to hide his feelings, but he can’t stop smiling and throws down four nines.

Triple H: Hand it over brother. (Shuffling the cards) I’ll tell you what; I don’t know how a guy can be so good at Poker. I might quit wrestling and earn my money of you guys ev…

He stops mid sentence as Michaels angrily throws the table to the other side of the room.

Triple H: I won it fair and square man, but if your gonna cry about it then you can have it back.

Michaels: It’s not about that Hunter and you damn well know it isn’t. It’s about my match at Unforgiven.

Triple H: You don’t see me and Bret complaining. We got a match too you know.

Michaels: Don’t even go there Hunter. If you think that your match is comparable to mine on any level then you’re a f**king nutcase.

Triple H: Don’t snap at me Shawn. I thought we’d got over our problems.

Michaels: We have, it’s just, you and Bret seem more interested in defeating those two rejects at Unforgiven and you’re failing to see that the title is at a big threat. I don’t even have to be pinned to lose it!

Triple H: You think we don’t care about the title?

Michaels: Well if you do then you’re not showing it.

Triple H: You wouldn’t have that thing if it wasn’t for me and Bret and I’ve never heard you thank us once. For me it was tough to just step aside like that in the Rumble match, but I wanted you to be happy Shawn. I thought my time was still to come and you needed that title more than anything.

Michaels: Well I forgot about all that stuff.

Triple H: And if you really think we didn’t have your back this time then you’re very much mistaken. We’ve been trying to keep the pressure off your shoulders this past month, but you never show your thanks for anything.

Bret: This has to stop guys. Now I’ve not been a part of this group for too long, but I do know your history goes way back and you can’t throw that away. And Michaels, of course we’re thinking about the title, even if they do want to form a little alliance, there’s five of us and two of them. Nobodies getting this title from DX and mean nobody, especially that punk ass son of a b***h Owen. Now Shawn, Hunter, Outlaws, we’re gonna hug this out right here.

Bret beckons everybody in the room to close in on him and the five friends share a heartfelt hug in the middle of the locker room.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

A video aired on the titantron hyping up the up and coming King of the Ring competition which would start in just over a months time. It highlighted some of the wrestlers who would be involved in the tournament aswell as past winners all wearing the crown. It showed how stars could be created in just one night in WWF’s unique knockout style tournament. A message flashed at the end emphasizing the rule change that the winner would receive a title shot whenever they desired during the next year.

Shane McMahon vs. ‘The Wrestling Machine’ Kurt Angle

http://i35.tinypic.com/6sc7qe.jpgvs.http://i47.tinypic.com/34rxij5.jpg

Shane McMahon couldn’t keep up with the intensity of Angle who throughout the match was hitting suplex after suplex at lightning quick speed. Once the straps were down only one outcome was evident. Angle locked on the ankle lock to keep The Corporation looking very strong.

Winner: Kurt Angle

Match Rating: C-

After the match Kurt Angle picks up a microphone from ringside.

Angle: Somebody please gimme a damn challenge! At Unforgiven I’m issuing an open challenge for any of you in that locker room to face me. Any of you ‘so called wrestlers’ get a chance to be in the ring with such a fine technical performer as myself so you better hurry up and put your name down so you can try and make a name for yourself cos it’s only open to one lucky person. Either way though I’ll beat your ass senseless and you’ll be tapping out just like the rest of em. Oh it’s true, it’s damn true.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We head backstage where Austin is walking down the corridor making his way to the ring for his immanent match when from behind the corner came the tag team champions who began a brutal assault on Austin. Thankfully for Austin though Ken Shamrock appeared and clobbered both champions square in the temple with his belt. Shamrock helped Austin up, but he was in no mood to talk and when he saw Shamrock he pushed him into the wall.

Austin: Why the hell did you help me?

Shamrock: You look like you needed it and I guess I was right.

Austin hoists Shamrock up against the wall, but Shamrock shows his power breaking out of it and putting Austin up against the opposite wall.

Shamrock: If ya must know, Shane asked me to keep an eye on you.

Austin looked livid and tried to fight out of Shamrock’s hold.

Shamrock: And he’s right ya know Austin. You two can’t keep fighting The Corporation by yourselves or you’re not going to be around much longer. You need some help and I’m a man you can trust.

Austin throws Shamrock to the other side of the wall with a sudden burst.

Austin: Shut the hell up you mealy mouthed son of a b***h. I told Shane I know what I’m doing and he goes behind my back like this and don’t you talk to me about trust. I thought I could trust Shane, but looks like I can’t so how in the hell am I supposed to trust you. Go run along with your little Intercontinental belt and let the big boys play. Whatever Shane or anyone else says, I don’t want you involved in this.

Austin storms off down the corridor as Shamrock, smiling, shakes his head.

‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin vs. Farooq

http://i34.tinypic.com/2pqnjhd.jpgvs.http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/2077/ronsimmonsas9.jpg

With The Nation’s poor run of form as of late, Farooq was dealt with a near impossible task here. Austin seemed fairly relaxed here and managed to hit a stunner after a decent effort from Farooq.

Winner: Steve Austin

Match Rating: B

With the pay per view only six days away and everybody in the match involved at the pay per view, neither team could afford to lose and give their respective opponents a big boost of momentum. Everybody was watching whether Owen and Mankind could work together and they could indeed. They were even double teaming opponents together looking straight at a worried Michaels while doing it. The turning point and most pivotal moment arrived when a huge brawl escalated at ringside leaving just Shawn Michaels and Mankind battling it out in the ring. Mankind was on top and looking in a good position to put away the Champion when Owen Hart seized his opportunity. After Mankind nailed Michaels with a piledriver, Owen slid into the ring and clotheslined Mankind over the top rope and into the action. He quickly applied the sharpshooter to Michaels who, after much deliberation, decided the pain wasn’t worth it this close to his big title defence.

Winners: Mankind, Owen Hart, British Bulldog, The Undertaker and Ken Shamrock

Match Rating: B

Immediately after the match had ended Mankind re-entered the ring and began pushing Owen Hart who pushed back. Michaels was awarded his title by Triple H, who had time to smash Bulldog over the head with it before handing it over, and began escaping up the ramp as blood boiled between the two challengers in the ring. The two men started going at it hammer and tongs with rights and left flying all over the place. Owen blocked a Mankind right and then levelled him with a clothesline as the crowd went crazy. While this was taking place Bearer had just hit Undertaker over the head with the urn causing Kane to gain the upper hand as the two were brawling up the ramp. Bulldog had vanished backstage in search of Triple H and Jarrett and Shamrock were having a small battle at the announce table. Back in the ring Owen locked on the sharpshooter to Mankind who writhed around in agony and then to everyone’s surprise began to tap on the mat hoping it would be enough to make Owen release to the hold.

Owen did release the hold, but stood tall above Mankind as Michaels watched proceedings from somewhere backstage. He had made both men in the triple threat match tap out in one night and certainly held the advantage going into Unforgiven.

Thanks a lot mate. It's difficult to write different stuff for the WWF at this time when you have what happened in real life and what happened in your epic diary to try and steer clear of. It makes it more of a challenge to try and think of unique stuff to throw in here.

A match made on the WWF website earlier today by Commissioner Ric Flair who wanted to treat the fans to some fast paced action at the start of the show. The Light Heavyweight Title has fallen off the radar a bit in recent weeks, but this is a great chance for the three performers to go out their and show just how entertaining they are.

‘The Man Beast’ Rhino vs. Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat

http://i35.tinypic.com/2saf28o.jpgvs.http://i45.tinypic.com/qzghdx.jpg

Although Rhino’s career doesn’t span very long it is hard to argue that there is a more dominating wrestler currently in the company. He has destroyed all that have crossed his path with his devastating finishing move called the Gore. One man stood up to Rhino though and although he is a veteran of many titles, you could say he caused an upset when, despite being dominated by Rhino, rolled him up for a surprise pinfall. A brutal attack followed and then the week later Rhino challenged Steamboat to this math declaring that he was going to put things right at Unforgiven. Can he get the job done against the legend at the second time of asking?

WWF Intercontinental Title Match

‘The World’s Most Dangerous Man’ Ken Shamrock © vs. Jeff Jarrett w. Goldust

http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/8081/kenshamrockxt7.jpgvs.http://i31.tinypic.com/34e6g0k.jpgw.http://i35.tinypic.com/5vi21.jpg

Since becoming Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock has quietly, but effectively defeated anybody that has dared challenge him for said title. He’s beaten various stars including Triple H to hold onto his most prized possession, but there are few stars in the company as hot as Jeff Jarrett now who has come out on top in feuds against both Jerry Lawler and Jerry Lynn. Shamrock boasted about how easy this title defence would be on Raw, but has he underestimated his challenger?

Open Challenge

‘The Wrestling Machine’ Kurt Angle vs. ???

http://i47.tinypic.com/34rxij5.jpgvs.http://i33.tinypic.com/302107q.jpg

Kurt Angle only debuted four weeks ago on the Raw after Wrestlemania, but already he looks like a special wrestler. He is intense in the ring and could possibility be up there as one of the greatest technical performers to enter the sports entertainment world. Whoever decides to take him up on his offer will no doubt have their hands full as Angle looks to march through his first pay per view match with relative ease.

Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart and Triple H vs. The New Hart Foundation (British Bulldog and Jim Niedhart)

http://i29.tinypic.com/vfk2gp.jpghttp://img204.imageshack.us/img204/7406/tripleh1998mt7.jpgvs.http://i27.tinypic.com/1zmkuhl.jpghttp://i31.tinypic.com/125pbox.jpg

Bret’s betrayal at the Royal Rumble has had an effect on many people other than his brother Owen. British Bulldog and Jim Niedhart have known Bret for years and couldn’t believe what he did. They have remained calm up and til now, but you get the impression that it’s been killing them inside as they had to keep Owen from doing something stupid. Despite Owen’s heroic victory over his brother at Wrestlemania, Bulldog and Niedhart want revenge for themselves. Is this their shot at redemption?

Inferno Match

The Undertaker vs. Kane w. Paul Bearer

http://i36.tinypic.com/14ipjwz.jpgvs.http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/189/kanemask1998vn6.jpgw.http://i47.tinypic.com/1ympld.jpg

Vince said it best last week on Raw ‘One of the most barbaric matches we’re ever likely to witness’. Kane and The Undertaker have both toyed with fire in the past with Kane just a few weeks ago burning Undertaker’s home down to the ground forcing the Deadman to wander to streets homeless. The past two weeks on Raw has featured the two brawling through the arena looking for anything to cause the other pain. Neither fears the other, but do they fear the flames? Somebody has to burn, so who will it be?

WWF Tag Team Titles Match

Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow © vs. Edge and Christian

http://i48.tinypic.com/6xt7y0.jpghttp://img413.imageshack.us/img413/346/bambambigelowku3.jpgvs.http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/949/edge1998lk4.jpghttp://img92.imageshack.us/img92/5543/christian1998lt5.jpg

Before the final edition of Raw is War nobody would have given Edge and Christian a chance of capturing the gold, but after Christian’s very impressive performance against Vader and Edges shock win over Bigelow, people are starting to realise that the two brothers are destined for Tag Team gold at some point in the near future. Could that be tonight?

Triple Threat Match for the WWF World Heavyweight Title

Shawn Michaels © vs. Mankind vs. Owen Hart

http://i47.tinypic.com/2m6kef8.jpgvs.http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/2192/mankind1998rs8.jpgvs.http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/2623/owenhartwa7.jpg

These three have met once before in a title match albeit they weren’t all participants, but they were all in the same ring. Last December at In Your House Owen interfered to cost Michaels the Championship which fell into the hands of Mankind. Every man has an equal chance of walking out of Unforgiven with the title around their waist which is a prospect that Michaels couldn’t bare last week on Raw as he went crazy. The pressure is clearly getting to Michaels and after a short spell as a cohesive unit Mankind and Owen Hart effectively ended that last week. It is every man for themselves, but who will stand victorious at the end of the night?

Another good show mate, really enjoyed it. Particularly like the way you're handling Kurt Angle at the moment.

Well Angle is my all time favourite wrestler so I had to pick him up as soon as possible. I just think he's a total package in terms of a wrestler as he has brilliant technical ability and is brilliant on the mic. I'm glad your enjoying him so far anyway mate. Great to see your input as it's one that I and many people value so highly.

Good work I really enjoy this diary.

Happy to see your reading mate. Welcome aboard.

I just started reading and playing the game for that matter and so, I just have to say ..... wow! Nice idea. I like this story and can't wait to totally catch up and read all of it. 13 pages but really nice.

I hope you enjoy it mate and its great to hear your willing to catch up. Thanks a lot.

I'm happy I can make you laugh. :o It's good to see your spotting mistakes like that though as it shows people aren't just skimming through shows etc. Hopefully there isn't anything too major in terms of mistakes as I try to proof read a little bit depending on how much time I have. Great to have you on board though mate and I hope you continue to enjoy this.

I'm a little over half way done with the show so i'm aiming to have to it up Tuesday. I'd may be able to get it up earlier depending on how bad the weather is tomorrow. Tonight, however, I'll be coming home from work and getting ready to watch the Pack destroy the Cards.

Extremely big thanks to all that have taken their time to pick for this show. It's great to see such a nice response. I'm happy to see people's opinions are differing in the Title and Inferno matches as I hoped would be the case.

World Wrestling Federation Presents Unforgiven

http://i49.tinypic.com/2pri4ya.jpg

http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/8448/jimrossdm5.jpghttp://img529.imageshack.us/img529/5528/jimcornetteaf0.jpghttp://img174.imageshack.us/img174/6050/jerrylawlerfd0.jpg

Ross: Hello folks and let me welcome you to Unforgiven brought to you live here from the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

Lawler: The crowd is up for this one JR. It’s good to see they’ve brought their voices.

Cornette: Well they’ll need them when Michaels regains his title tonight and a new Intercontinental Champion is crowned in Jeff Jarrett.

Ross: Whatever does happen in that main event I know one thing. It will be a terrific match.

Lawler: Can’t argue with you there JR. Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart and Mankind going at it in a triple threat match! I can’t wait for that one.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Backstage we see an enormous white limousine arrive and a flurry of security guards waiting to escorts its contents into the arena. Degeneration X emerged out of the limo, Shawn Michaels last with his WWF Championship gleaming around his shoulder. Triple H begins talking directly to a security guard.

Triple H: You, take Shawn into his locker room and you make sure nothing happens to him between now and his match later tonight. You want Champion treatment Shawn well I’ll give you Champion treatment. In fact you two go aswell and make sure Shawn gets anything he wants.

Michaels nods at Triple H before following the broad guards into the arena.

Triple H: (turning to Bret) Come on dude we got a match to prepare for.

Bret and Triple H leave in another direction followed by The New Age Outlaws.

Ross: DX taking precautionary measures there.

Cornette: Can you blame them? Owen and Mankind would do any dirty deed to win that title however unethical it may be.

Ross: I really don’t know how you can say that after what DX have done so far this year, but I think it’s time to get this show started. We have some Light Heavyweight action to start off Unforgiven for you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

WWF Light Heavyweight Title

Great Sasuke © vs. Kid Kash vs. Taka Michinoku

http://img398.imageshack.us/img398/8465/greatsasukeqs4.jpgvs.http://i38.tinypic.com/2yobcp5.jpgvs.http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/4974/takamichinokucf2.jpg

In the early going both Kid Kash and Taka Michinoku were taking things cautiously and the fans it was clear the fans were beginning to get irritated that they weren’t getting to see the fast paced variety that we have come to expect from this division. However, you couldn’t really blame the challengers who obviously wanted to win the gold. Sasuke, a real fan favourite, was the one who decided to meet the fans needs. In a short flurry he can singlehandedly knocked down both Taka and Kash with risky aerial manoeuvres which had the fans on their feet instantly. To anybody else the title would be their main priority, but to Sasuke it came a distant second to the fans and they loved him for it.

Thanks greatly to Sasuke the match became more exciting as each competitor seemed to forget about the title and just wanted to put a show on for the fans. It was a who could beat better who contest in aerial moves and the winner was the one who could elicit the greatest reaction from the crowd. If this was the case then Sasuke would retain his title everytime. He was clearly in a different class to the other competitors and it was a sign that the division could use some new stars and perhaps it was just about to get some.

From behind the curtain waltzed a familiar face from WWF past. The 1-2-3 Kid Sean Waltman intently walked down to the ring where the action was taking place. Behind him were two intimidating characters who Ross quickly informed us were Blue Panther and Chavo Guerrero Sr. from Mexico. The three stars in the ring quickly stopped fighting and readied themselves for action as the newcomers stepped into the ring. As soon as the two teams locked horns the referee had no choice but to call for the bell.

No Contest, but still WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, Great Sasuke

Match Rating: D

After the match the brawl really started to heat up. Sasuke ascended the top rope looking to cause some aerial damage, but Blue Panther had it well scouted and pushed him off into the guardrail thereby eliminating the resilient Sasuke. Taka and Kash fought fell, but the three bullies were too strong for them. They didn’t rely on aerial attacks or exciting ground moves, they just basically beat the hell out of Kash and Taka in a very effective way. The crowd booed the whole attack as they were clearly enjoying the exciting action that was taking place just moments ago. Waltman played up to the crowd a little looking to educe an even hotter reaction from the crowd before leaving to the back.

Cornette That's more like. Something to break up that borefest.

Ross: I don't think the crowd would agree with you Jim.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We camera pans backstage and into the locker room entitled ‘The Rock’. The Rock is in the shower with Sable who is moaning loudly. A knock on the door strikes fear into both them and that fear is only made worse when the voice of Sable’s husband, Marc Mero, begins to sound.

Mero: Rock, you in here buddy?

The Rock: Mero, err, go away.

Mero: What… what’s going on back there?

The Rock pops his head around the corner lifting his eyebrow.

The Rock: The Rock’s got a chick back here.

Mero: Ohh… I’m sorry man. I just wanted to apologise for what happened the other week in your match with Sid Vicious.

The Rock: Oh no don’t mention it. The Rock will just have to layeth the smacketh down on Sid’s candy ass another time.

Mero: You sure Rock?

Something in the back of Rocks’ mind twigs and he completely changes his opinion.

The Rock: Actually now the Rock comes to think of it he is not sure. You struck me over the head with a steel chair and The Rock didn’t enjoy it one bit.

Mero: Please Rock I didn’t mean to. You’ve been so great through all of this and I just wanted to repay you.

The Rock: The Rock doesn’t know if he can just forgive and forget like this.

Mero smiles awkwardly and he watches The Rock ponder over his decision.

The Rock: Just this once The Rock has decided to let it, but you owe The Rock Mero. The owe The Rock big style.

Mero: Anything Rock just name it and it’s yours.

The Rock: That’s good to hear, but not right now eh? Let The Rock get back to what he was cooking up in there.

Mero: Of course, I’ll just leave, one more thing though just before I go.

The Rock motions for Mero to go on.

Mero: Have you seen Sable anywhere?

The Rock: No… errr… The Rock hasn’t seen her since last Monday.

Mero: Oh ok no worries. I’ll just be on my way then.

Mero closes the door behind him and The Rock lets out a huge sigh of relief and then strolls back into the shower to finish off with Sable.

‘The Man Beast’ Rhino vs. Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat

http://i35.tinypic.com/2saf28o.jpgvs.http://i45.tinypic.com/qzghdx.jpg

Steamboat wrestled a pretty good match here against the much more intense younger star. He showed that he hasn’t lost his ability to entertain and gave the fans a great moment when he climbed to the top rope and delivered his signature crossbody to the Rhino. As the crowd watched on in hope he hooked the thick leg of Rhino and narrowly missed out on the win.

The match picked up pace a bit after that which didn’t fall into the favour of Steamboat who was nearly destroyed by Rhino and a thunderous Gore. He merely laid on Steamboats lifeless carcass as the referee draw a close on an impressive Rhino victory.

Winner: Rhino

Match Rating: C-

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Backstage Shane McMahon was cautiously pacing around making sure he checked what was around every corner before going round. After last week there was one man he really didn’t want to see and as he tiptoed around another corner a familiar deep voice sounded out “Oi!” Shane stopped in his track and his facial expression showed he knew exactly who that voice belonged to and the reaction of the crowd showed that they did too.

Shane: Oh Austin. What can I do for you?

Austin: Don’t play all innocent with me Shane. It ain’t gonna cut it.

Shane: Please let me…

Austin: No, no no! I’m doing the talking so listen up. I took you under my wing and you know more than anyone that it was a hard decision that required a great deal of thought and at the end of it I choose to let you join me because… I could trust you Shane or at least I thought I could trust you, but clearly Stone Cold was wrong.

Shane: You can trust me; I thought we just needed a bit of…

Austin: Shut the hell up when I’m speaking or I’ll open up a can of whoop ass right here right now. You deceived me Shane. I told you we didn’t need anyone. I told you I had it all under control.

Shane: How was I supposed to know you had it under control?! You never told me anything other than that and you say you could trust me?

Austin seemed surprised and angered by Shane’s reaction, but carried on in a calm manor.

Austin: I told you if you didn’t like things then you know where the door is. You joined me, I didn’t invite you. It still doesn’t take anything away from the fact that you went behind my back and all that trust you’d built up over these past months, straight outta the window. I don’t need this hassle Shane and I can win this war with or without you, it doesn’t matter to me. The fact of the matter is you need me and I sure as hell don’t need you.

With that Austin stormed off down the corridor leaving Shane looking worried at what might follow.

Cornette: You have to love the stubborness of Austin. Hopefully it'll play a part in him getting the hell out of this company.

Ross: You know as well as I do that Austin isn't going anywhere.

Cornette: Oh, sorry JR. Forgot he was your boyfriend.

Ross scowls at Cornette.

Lawler: I have to agree with Cornette on this one JR. Asutin is stupid not to request help. He says he has a plan, but where is it?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The camera cuts backstage as Michael Cole is standing by with his first guest of the evening.

Cole: I’m standing by backstage with Olympic Gold Medallist, Kurt Angle. Angle, tonight you’ve issued an open challenge for anybody in that locker room to face you. Are you not at all weary of who it may be?

Angle: If I’m honest Michael Cole then I don’t even think I’ll get a challenger tonight. People don’t want to face me when they have to so why in hell would they choose to get their ankle snapped by me cos that’s exactly what I’ll do tonight. Break the stupid ba**ard’s ankle if I do get a challenger. I love to see them writhing around in pain while I twist and turn that ankle. It gets my adrenaline pumping. Oh it’s true.

Angle starts chuckling to himself slightly as Cole goes on. He’s about to speak when Angle makes a movement with his hands pointing it that he hadn’t finished.

Angle: It’s damn true.

He walks off down the corridor as Cole stands there twiddling his thumbs.

WWF Intercontinental Title Match

‘The World’s Most Dangerous Man’ Ken Shamrock © vs. Jeff Jarrett w. Goldust

http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/8081/kenshamrockxt7.jpgvs.http://i31.tinypic.com/34e6g0k.jpgw.http://i35.tinypic.com/5vi21.jpg

As Jarrett and his lackey entered the ring, Goldust was carrying a small stool. He laid the stool down in the corner and Jarrett took a seat. As Shamrock’s music hit Goldust began massaging Jarrett’s shoulders as he sat on the stool staring forward as Shamrock entered to a great reception. The massaging carried on as Shamrock’s music stopped and he stood there confused and then looked at the referee who just shrugged his shoulders. Finally Shamrock decided enough was enough and walked into the corner tossed Jarrett off the stool, clotheslined Goldust onto the outside and then threw the stool at him.

The bell rang and the Intercontinental Champion began laying into a pampered Jarrett. The went on for a few minutes as the pre match ‘warm up’ that Jarrett received didn’t seem to be working and nor did Goldust acting as the cheerleader from ringside. He constant babbling just angered Shamrock and it probably played a part in the punishment that Jarrett was getting.

Jarrett managed to gain a foothold back into the match and it become very even from here on. Momentum travelled back and forth for a little while until as Jarrett took every opportunity possible to gain the advantage. He would use as much of the ref’s five counts as possible, little dirty tricks such as thumbs to the eye and of course there was the factor of Goldust at ringside which effectively made the match two on one every time the referee’s back was turned. Despite all this, Shamrock was holding his own.

Shamrock found an opening and quickly locked on the ankle lock, but Jarrett had done his homework. He brilliantly wrapped Shamrock up into a small package and the referee started a count. One… Two… Thr… No! Kick out from Shamrock! Jarrett tried again this time grabbing a handful of trunks, but Shamrock still kicked out. Shamrock slowly stumbled to his feet as Jarrett’s frustration began to grow. He didn’t let that get the better of him though and instead as Goldust distracted the referee he planted Shamrock with The Stroke and covered. One…Two…Thrr… Shamrock wriggled his shoulder up as Jarrett sat there open mouthed. He stood up and immediately grasped hold of Shamrock’s legs. Figure Four Leglock applied! Shamrock fought the hold off for as long as he could, but in the end the pain was just too much to bear for the tough as nails Intercontinental Champion.

Winner and new WWF Intercontinental Champion, Jeff Jarrett

Match Rating: B

Goldust enters the ring with the Intercontinental Title and hands it to a jovial Jeff Jarrett. He struggles to his feet and holds the title into the air with one hand while the other nurses his mid section. Jarrett showed tonight that he really is one hell of a wrestler and how ever much he is disliked, nobody could argue that his performance was deserving of the title. Suddenly Jarrett brought the title down and wrapped it around the head of his companion Goldust which caused the crowd to boo profusely. He looked down at the ground with a sick smile at his fallen former friend and as he turned around he was met by a spinebuster by Shamrock who hadn’t liked what he had seen. The crowd loved this as the former champion let out a great roar before heading to the back.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Backstage Michael Cole had three special guests. Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and Triple H of Degeneration X were stood next to him as he gulped and began to question them.

Cole: I’m standing by with three members of Degeneration X who are all in action tonight.

Triple H: I’m going to stop you right there Mikey boy.

He calls for the microphone which Cole hands to him and the next thing he knows, Triple H has pushed him out of the camera’s view and onto the floor. The three of them laugh as Triple H begins to talk.

Triple H: Nobody asks DX anything. Cole, you got balls confronting us three like that, but there’s no way in hell you got brawn. So anyway onto mine and Bret’s little match tonight. I mean it’s not really anything special. It’s just me and Bret going out there, kicking some ass and then heading straight into the back. It’ll be over so quickly that you lot probably won’t even remember it when the night is done. I think they call it a routine win. Yep that’s what it’ll be.

He hands it over to Bret.

Bret: I think my good man Hunter has basically explained everything that is going to go down tonight. We’ll be treating it as a warm up for the party we’ll be having later.

The three acknowledge each showing that their looking forward to that.

Bret: There is one more thing that I have my heart set on though and it involves that no good piece of crap, Jim Niedhart. As most of you know Jim has made a career out of being carried by his other tag team mate. First there was me and now he’s holding back British Bulldog. Tonight Jim, I think its time that me and Hunter ended your pathetic career.

He hands the microphone over to Shawn Michaels.

Michaels: You’re gonna kick some ass tonight guys. Now onto more important things. The World heavyweight Championship.

Michaels holds it up to the camera and drapes it back onto his shoulder.

Michaels: Things are going to have to change around here. The way I’ve been treated these past few months is an outrage. First I don’t get my rematch then I have to face Owen for the shot at the title in a steel cage and after all that I have this title proving that I am indeed the best around. Now, in my first defence, I have to face two people. Now I’m not saying I’m going to lose the title, it’s just a guy of my ability shouldn’t have to be doing this. Things are going to change around here so Vince, Flair you two better watch yourselves because you’re not the only ones who have power around here. I am the Champion which in my eyes is the most important position around this company. If you guys over at the Corporation want a war then me and my boys, well we’ll give you one. And as for you two tonight, Owen and Mankind, the fact that you two are in the main event of a pay per view with somebody as godly as myself is one of the biggest insults I’ve ever been paid.

Ross: DX going after The Corporation?

Cornette: Now that is some TV I want to see.

Kurt Angle co*kily made his way to ringside and snatched a microphone from a member of the ringside crew.

Angle: (shouting at the crew member) What?!! I’m a freaking Olympic Champion! I can do as I damn well please!

He entered the ring before showing off his gold medal around his neck which brought about some negative responses from the crowd. Frowning, he then brought the microphone to his lips and began to speak.

Angle: It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for and the reason you all bought your ticket tonight. It’s time for my match so let’s see what loser I gotta pound into the ground tonight before, of course, twisting their ankle until they obviously give up. So come on lets see who you are.

There’s a pause which begins to anger Ankle who is waiting in the ring.

Angle: Nobody wants to face? Can’t say I’m surprised. I guess I’ll get home early ton…

A sound of breaking glass cuts Angle off and the crowd go crazy.

Ross: I don't bah gawd believe it! Its Stone Cold! Austin's here!

http://i34.tinypic.com/2pqnjhd.jpg

Steve Austin quickly walked out to the ring stomping his feet on the crowd and shouting profanities to Angle in the ring who had suddenly forgot how to speak.

Austin: If you wanna see ol' Stone Cold open up a can of whoop ass on this mealy mouthed son of a bi*ch right here at the Rupp Arena, gimme a hell yeah?!

Hell Yeah!!!

Austin: Oh hell yeah!

Austin charges at Angle before he has time to remove the gold medal hanging proudly around his neck. He tackles him to the ground and starts ripping into Angle with lefts and rights. Finally the referee manages to get Austin into the corner and is able to properly start the match.

Open Challenge

‘The Wrestling Machine’ Kurt Angle vs. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

http://i47.tinypic.com/34rxij5.jpgvs.http://i34.tinypic.com/2pqnjhd.jpg

Angle brushes off his wounds still in shock that it was Austin who answered his challenge. If he was looking for an easy victory here tonight then he certainly wasn’t going to get one. Austin came here to do one thing and one thing only. Teach Angle a lesson, but Austin knew Angle wouldn’t go down without a fight and it was hard to see anybody gaining an advantage in the early exchanges. Angle connected with a few German Suplexes and looked to be in control of things, but he was whipped into the corner with such velocity that he drooped down prompting Austin to begin stomping the mudhole, a part that Jim Ross probably got a little too excited about.

Right back to the mat now from Austin as he applied a sleeper hold which left Angle reaching out for the ropes, but to no avail. He was fading fast. Ross was saying that the match could be over right now, but Cornette was adamant that Angle would fight back, if anything then just out of desperation. Angle using his brilliant leg strength managed to power up to a vertical base with Austin still clinging on with the sleeper hold. Angle then backed into the corner forcing Austin off with the vigour of the hit. Somehow Angle had turned what looked to be the end of the match into a new beginning for himself. He was in control and it made Cornette smile at ringside.

After some good wear and tear mat wrestling from, Kurt Angle, was showing off the reasons why he won that Olympic Gold Medal and the 1996 Atlanta Games. Angle with his combination of speed and strength was quickly making a name for himself as a ‘Wrestling Machine’. Austin knew that the match would be lost if he was going to try and fight Angle at his own game and so he struggled to the ropes which caught Angle off guard. The quick pinfalls and takedowns were no more as the referee, to Angle’s frustration, ordered him the two of them to get back onto a vertical base.

From here Austin was much more of a threat and quickly hit a back body drop and as Angle just kept getting up and coming for more, Austin knocked him down several times with mean clotheslines before throwing Angle over the rope, he fell with a big thud on the thin piece of rubber that separated him from the concrete floor. Angle ambled back into the ring crawling straight back into the wrath of Austin who in recent weeks had had some encounters with Angle and didn’t come out of them very well. It looked like here was his chance to avenge that.

Austin smiled as he grabbed hold of Angle’s bald head looking to pull him up, but no! Inside Cradle from Angle out of nowhere. One…Two…Thr… Austin powered out and sat up panting in surprise as Angle sat up in the corner and rubbed his hand down his face before standing up and beckoning Austin to come and get some more. The two started trash talking which led to Austin rushing at Angle. German Suplex from Angle and he kept the hands grasped, another one from Angle and again! Angle stood up and lowered down his straps on his singlet. His face was reddening and his veins in his head were throbbing as he grasped the ankle of Austin and started to sickeningly twist and turn at the joint and would likely show no remorse if it were to break. Austin crawled with all his might to the ropes, but a relentless Angle just clawed him back into the centre of the ring. Angle could have this one won right here and what a victory it would be, but we weren’t talking about any ordinary man, no, this was ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and he wasn’t prepared to hand Angle a win without a fight.

Angle saw the opportunity and locked on a grape vine making the hold even tougher for Austin to kick out of. His hand was getting dangerously close to the mat, but we’re talking about the man who survived Bret Hart’s sharpshooter until passing out. Austin did not tap. Fact. Instead with his free foot he viciously kicked the head of Angle who after three stiff boots to the face had no intention, but to let go of the hold. Austin stumbled back to a vertical base using every part of the ropes for help and Austin shook off the earlier kicks. The two threw some slow punches only connecting with a small amount and Austin then booted Angle in the stomach. Stunner!!! He nailed Angle with the Stunner, but fell straight back down to the mat, his ankle collapsing after what he had endured at the hands of Angle moments earlier. Finally he draped an arm over Angle and the ref begin to count. One…Two…Thrre… Angle at the very last second pushed up his shoulder as Austin banged his fist on the canvas.

A thought crossed Austin’s mind during his frustration as he looked at the fallen Angle. He hobbled up the standing position and clasped hold of Angle’s ankle. Austin had Angles own finishing move locked on. Angle, who was lifeless a moment ago, suddenly began to writhe around in agony stretching out for the ropes. Angle was obviously a master of the move and managed to push Austin into the turnbuckle before any real damage could be done. Austin’s head bounced off the rubber turnbuckle and he stumbled straight into an angle slam from Angle who almost instantly hooked the leg. One…Two…Thre….. NO! Everybody in the arena gasped as they saw Austin’s arm punch up into the air. He still had life. Now it was Angles turn to become frustrated. He angrily picked Austin up and attempted to whip him into the ropes, but Austin reserved it. Angle came back off the ropes and dived under the legs of Austin. Austin had it scouted though and was ready for Angle on the other side. He turned around into a Stone Cold Salute followed by a second kick to the gut. Stunner!!! A second stunner of the night on Angle and that one must be lights out. After the great resilience Angle had shown tonight it was strange to see the referee count the three count with Angles shoulders down, but that was just a compliment to just how good ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin is. Surely he wasn’t expecting this performance from Angle when he decided to answer his answer?

Winner: Steve Austin

The titantron zooms to a graveyard. It pans around the graveyard for a bit before settling on a dark figure who is crouched down by two graves.

Undertaker: For too many years I have been visiting this grave and now thanks to the monster who did this.

He points at the graves.

Undertaker: I have nowhere else to dwell. Kane you think your immortal, you think you’re the greatest living organism to walk this earth. Well you are very much mistaken Kane. Tonight we have an inferno match, a match that has never been seen and never even been attempted. You’ve been playing around with fire for too long Kane. Throwing flames here and there like it doesn’t mean anything when in fact that is the very well you killed our parents. You will finally be able to feel the pain that they did tonight when I set you on fire limb after limb and we watch as your mangled carcass burns, burns high and we’ll smell as your seared flesh reaches high into the rafters. The fact is that you killed our parents that fateful night and now they are buried here beside me. Tonight Kane the only way I can extract revenge for myself and our parents is to… kill you. That’s right Kane tonight you will… rest…in…peace.

Backstage The Rock exits his locker room with a mighty big grin on his face, he certainly looks satisfied. He turns a corner, but is blindsighted by Sid Vicious who had been lurking. Sid pummels The Rock into the ground and then throws him at the wall before walking away leaving The Rock in a heap on the floor.

Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart and Triple H vs. The New Hart Foundation (British Bulldog and Jim Niedhart)

http://i29.tinypic.com/vfk2gp.jpghttp://img204.imageshack.us/img204/7406/tripleh1998mt7.jpgvs.http://i27.tinypic.com/1zmkuhl.jpghttp://i31.tinypic.com/125pbox.jpg

Triple H and Bret’s plan was simple. Take Bulldog out of the equation. Bulldog was more than willing to take most of the time in the ring during the opening exchanges as Niedhart tried to rally up the crowd from the apron. This really was s mismatch though because however hated Bret Hart and Triple H was nobody could argue with their ability in the ring. The match seemed relatively easy for them throughout with just the occasional scare coming when Bulldog felt some momentum.

Niedhart was definitely the difference and it was his fault they lost the match. He didn’t tag out when he had the chance and next thing you know he’s on the other end of a pedigree by Triple H. Bret clotheslined Bulldog over the ropes as Triple H covered for the victory.

Winners: Bret Hart and Triple H

Match Rating: C+

After the match Niedhart looked inconsolable. Without acknowledging Bulldog who kept repeating that it didn’t matter he just tramped off down the ramp with his head down and disappeared behind the curtain and Bulldog watched on from the ring.

A video plays on the titantron hyping up the unique inferno match between The Undertaker and Kane. It Shows:

• Undertaker defeating his brother at Wrestlemania.

• Kane requesting a rematch the following week on Raw, but The Undertaker refused.

• Kane doing the unthinkable. Setting fire to The Undertaker’s home making him homeless.

• Undertaker turning the tables challenging Kane to an inferno match.

• Undertaker and Kane brawling through the arena while they were supposed to be in tag action.

Inferno Match

The Undertaker vs. Kane w. Paul Bearer

http://i36.tinypic.com/14ipjwz.jpgvs.http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/189/kanemask1998vn6.jpgw.http://i47.tinypic.com/1ympld.jpg

Both men entered the ring slowly, but both in their own very intimidating way. Kane was first and as soon as his music hit fire burst out around the arena causing all the crowd to stand guard. The fire died down almost instantly though and he stood in the ring awaiting the long drawn out arrival of the Deadman. Dong! It started and the druids formed a guard of honour for The Undertaker to cross through. The crowd went crazy for Taker as he stepped through the curtain and continued on down the ramp. He entered the ring rolling back his eyes and giving the ring crew his over the top attire and both men stood staring into the others eyes awaiting the flames to surround the ring.

A member of the ring crew cautiously made his way to the fire starters encasing the ring and quickly flicked a switch. The flames started off small and seemed to have stopped at about one foot tall causing Kane to smile, but then they suddenly grew another few feet until some were as high as the ring ropes wiping Kane’s smile right off his face. The smell of the fire filled the arena almost instantly as everybody waited in anticipation of what would happen. Meanwhile Ross at ringside was doing his best to put over just how dangerous a match this was and that the two men were crazy to ever step into the ring.

As expected the two colossal monsters circled each other for a few moments looking to get a feel for the flames. They were scouted around the ring and making sure they were fall enough away at all times. Soon enough though they locked horns with Undertaker forcing Kane into the corner, but he soon powered his way back to the centre as soon as he felt the heat of the flames. They both didn’t want to go all out as a quick counter could immediately spell the end in a match like this, the goal of course being to set fire to your opponent a concept that just didn’t seem right in a professional wrestling ring.

Kane came back at Undertaker with some knees to head and then a great upper cut knocked Taker into the ropes. He bounced off into a clothesline from Kane and found him back touching the canvas. Kane tried to kick Undertaker into the flames, but the instincts of Taker kicked in and he managed to trip the big red monster up with his foot. For the next five minutes or so we witnessed more of the same as each men attempted to set a body part of the other on fire, but to no avail. Then, with Kane wrapped up in the ropes, Undertaker pounced and sent him flying backwards with a clothesline, he narrowly missed the flames and found himself on the outside. Undertaker thought for a moment and then did the unthinkable. As Kane raced to his feet Undertaker bounced off the ropes and sprinted vaulting over the top rope and colliding with Kane, somehow missing the flames.

They brawled up the ramp as Kane hit Taker with a sidewalk slam on the ramp. The force of which reverberated about the arena. Kane then whipped Taker into the guard rail sending him crashing through it. Kane brought Undertaker back to the middle of the ramp and hoisted him for a chokeslam. Undertaker reserved into a DDT! Kane’s head smashed the steel ramp! Both men stumbled to their feet and big exchanging big heavy rights. They were both on wobbly legs, but neither would fall down. Finally Kane connected with a devastating uppercut and then picked Undertaker up for a tombstone, but Undertaker flipped over into a tombstone of his own!! Kane’s head catapulted off the steel ramp for a second time! Undertaker picked Kane up and fired him into the steel steps at ringside. Both men were sweating profusely from the heat of the flames. Ross was stating that he’d never felt an atmosphere like it while Taker fired Kane into the steps for a second time. Kane stumbled up and Undertaker looked to whip Kane straight into the flames. Kane reserved and sent Undertaker flying forward. Undertaker stopped dead millimetres away from the flames, but his arm caught fire in there. Undertaker tried shaking it off as all the fans around the arena gasped in horror. Undertaker had a look or true pain on his face, his eyes told the whole story. Holding his blazing arm in front of him he ran off into the back for some treatment.

Winner: Kane

Match Rating: B

Ross: Bah gawd! Undertaker is a blaze!!

The flames died down and Kane re-entered the ring as Bearer started to do some strange kind of prayer. Suddenly Kane flicked his hand and two members of the ring crew burst into flames. Both sprinted as fast as they could up the ramp as their screams echoed around the arena. Kane just stood there staring into the back as the on call ambulance would surely have their hands full tonight.

Lawler: Did you smell the fumes at ringside side. I feel sick right now.

Ross: I feel more sick watching two perfectly innocent people burst into flames. What is wrong with Kane?

Cornette: Everything JR, but that doesn't stop him from scaring the living hell out of me.

WWF Tag Team Titles Match

Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow © vs. Edge and Christian

http://i48.tinypic.com/6xt7y0.jpghttp://img413.imageshack.us/img413/346/bambambigelowku3.jpgvs.http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/949/edge1998lk4.jpghttp://img92.imageshack.us/img92/5543/christian1998lt5.jpg

After the terrifying events that had just transpired it was now time for the tag team titles to be defended. The match began very similar to the two matches last week on Raw. The challengers were attempting to utilize their speed advantage and tire out the big men in the early going. Christian thought he could see an opening and started hammering away at Bigelow who shook them off and literally threw Christian into the turnbuckle closest to Vader. From there the tag team Champions went to work slowly wearing down Christian as Edge was powerless opposite them.

Christian managed to scramble away and tag in Edge who started up some offence of his own on Vader. Vader started to wobble before falling with a big crash onto the mat. Edge went to the corner scouting his opponent looking to hit the spear when he stood back up. Vader turned around right into a spear! One…Two…Th… No! Bigelow broke up the three count. Vader picked Edge up by the hair, but as the referee was ordering Bigelow back to the apron, Edge kicked Vader square below the belt and then tagged in Christian who catapulated off the turnbuckle and levelled him with a crossbody. One…Two…Thre… Vader powered out!

Christian didn’t know what to do and started punching Vader in the face hoping it would have some effort. It didn’t and Vader came straight back with a flourish and lefts and rights. He then head butted Christian who fell down and when he stood up he was clotheslined straight back down by Bigelow who had just received the tag. Bigelow hoisted up Christian for a Powerbomb as Vader held off any Edge resistance. One…Two…Three. This one is over.

Winners and still WWF Tag Team Champions, Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow

Match Rating: C-

Backstage Owen Hart is standing by with Michael Cole. He distinct look of concentration etched onto his face. His eyes are wide open and he looks focused and ready for the main event tonight.

Cole: Owen Hart, in just a few moments time your going to be standing in that ring with two other men all vying for the same prize tonight. Do you have any last minute thoughts?

Owen: I have plenty Michael Cole. In fact all I’ve been doing for the past few weeks is thinking. Thinking what it would be like to win that title, win my very first WWF World Heavyweight Title and I don’t think words could quite describe it. It’s what I’ve wanted my whole life and now the reality is here.

Cole: But you have to get past two very talented performers to win the belt tonight.

Owen: That is very true, but you’re looking at the MOST talented performer in that match tonight and the one who will be walking out of the Rupp Arena with the belt. There is nothing I won’t do to win that title and nobody I won’t hurt so Mankind, Michaels, you’re the two men blocking my path to the WWF title, but tonight no matter than you do I’ll do ten times worse to make sure that Owen Hart is the next name in the lineage of the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Title.

Ross: That match is up next.

A video airs on the titantron hyping up the imminent World Heavyweight Title bout between Shawn Michaels, Mankind and Owen Hart. It Shows:

• The emotional moment when Mankind captured his first WWF World Title due to interference from Owen Hart who was seeking revenge for his brother who was ‘screwed at Survivor Series’

• Owen Hart’s quick rise up the card including his impressive performance in the Royal Rumble match, his resilience in the steel cage match with Shawn Michaels and his remarkable victory over his brother, Bret, at Wrestlemania.

• Shawn Michael’s willingness to do anything to win back his title that he wrongfully lost finally culminating with him doing so at Wrestlemania.

• The New Age Outlaws charging to the ring and causing a double DQ in the number one contenders match between Mankind and Owen Hart.

• Ric Flair announcing the following week that it would be a triple threat match for the title.

• Friction between Mankind and Owen Hart and the two then declaring a truce until Unforgiven.

• Owen hart taking advantage of the opportunity last week, standing tall over Mankind as the Champion looked on.

Triple Threat Match for the WWF World Heavyweight Title

Shawn Michaels © vs. Mankind vs. Owen Hart

The pre match announcer put over the fact that a triple threat match is played under no disqualification rules which would be even more of a hindrance to the champion tonight. All three men would be in the ring at the same time allowing for double teams to take place, but the only pairing you could have imagined working would have been Mankind and Owen Hart, but any hope of that happening ended last week at the end of Raw. Owen Hart was first to enter to a rapturous applause, the fans already knew who they wanted to see walk out with the gold tonight. It seemed like Michael’s speech earlier about going after The Corporation has earned him a few more followers because he didn’t receive an as hot a reaction as in recent weeks.

The pace of the match was very quick in the early going which would play in the hands of the more athletic and fitter Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart than the bigger more powerful Mankind. He regularly took trips to the outside to try and catch his breath as Michaels and Hart showed no signs of stopping the fast approach which was getting the fans into the match from the off, something which was welcomed after an ordinary tag match. Owen attempted an early sharpshooter which was greeted with a huge roar of approval from the sell out crowd, but as he tried to turn Michaels over, Mankind rolled back into the ring and punted Owen in the head with his knee. Mankind dropped a knee into Michaels and then flung him into the corner. Michaels reversed it and began some nasty knife edge chops onto Mankind before executing a perfect dropkick as Mankind wandered out of the corner. Michaels turned around into a spinning heel kick from Owen Hart who had just risen after the earlier knee to the head.

Owen ran from one man to the next throwing a few punches and kicks into each direction before finally settling on Mankind. He sent him back to the mat with a quick snap suplex and then began working Mankind’s legs in an attempt to render him helpless when Owen did finally go for the inevitable sharpshooter. He locked him in a grapevine and began twisting and turning various joints, but this was soon broken up by Shawn Michaels.

This would carry on for a few more minutes before Michaels decided to whittle it down to two on two. He threw Owen to the outside and flung him shoulder first into the steel steps. He then selected a chair from ringside, set it down on the mats and hit a DDT on Owen Hart. He wasn’t finished there though. He set Owen up on the announce table and began to ascend the turnbuckle as the crowd turned silent in anticipation. Thankfully for Owen Mankind pulled Shawn down and sent him crashing to the mat with a vicious clothesline. Mankind looked to be going after Shawn, but then a sick thought went through his head and he began climbing the turnbuckle. At the top Mankind was clearly pondering what to do and finally he went catapulting off the top turnbuckle and looked to plant Owen with an elbow drop, but Owen instinctively rolled out of the way. 280lb of Mankind went crashing through the table! He was out of it.

Owen sat up with a look of relief that he wasn’t part of that carnage and then slowly climbed to his feet holding his head that had moments earlier felt the effects of a steel chair. He clambered into the ring, but Michaels was ready and connected with a baseball slide sending him straight back out. Michaels ascended the top rope and connected with a fantastic crossbody as Owen Hart was just about getting to his feet. Michaels was now in the driving seat and there was no Mankind to help out. Michaels utilised some suplexes and connected with an inverted atomic drop. To the top rope Michaels went next as he dived off connecting into the heart of Owen with his elbow. Michaels began tuning up the band in the corner, but as he went for a first sweet chin music attempt of the night Owen ducked. Owen then grabbed the legs of Michaels swept him off his feet and before you knew it a sharpshooter was locked in. The was nothing new to Michaels who had felt the full effects of it at No Way Out, but the pain was still excruciating. After about a minute of one of the biggest pains in wrestling Michaels got a hand on the ropes, but remembering the no disqualification rule Owen’s anger took over and Michaels was subsequently dragged back into the centre of the ring. The referee tried to reason with Owen, but he didn’t care, he crowd were roaring him on and praying for Michaels to start tapping, but Mankind had begun stirring at ringside and put all his effort into breaking up the hold.

Michaels rolled out of the ring clutching his legs as Mankind knocked Owen down with a spinebuster after shipping him into the ropes. He then left to the outside looking to finish Michaels off which was exactly what he did. He picked Michaels up and draped him on his shoulder before running full pelt into the steel turnbuckle and the crowd gasped in horror as Michaels head catapulted off it. Mankind then dropped a bloody Champion on the floor and slid back into the ring. Owen was ready though looked for a suplex, but Mankind was there to block it and turned it into a suplex of his own. The former Champion then reached into his pocket. Mr. Socko! He fitted on the dirty stinking sock and rammed it into the mouth of Owen who immediately began gasping for air. Owen began to fade fast and as it looked like Mankind had recaptured the title, Owen, out of desperation, showed his tremendous resolve and athleticism by bending his legs around the neck of Mankind and into a head scissors forcing Mankind to break the Mandible Claw. Mankind went straight back at Owen, but he dropped him with a drop toe hold and gripped hold of his legs as he scrambled to a vertical base. He crossed the legs of Mankind despite the resistance.

Owen had the sharpshooter locked in on Mankind who was banging furiously on the mat trying to combat pain with pain. Michaels was still down at ringside after colliding with the turnbuckle and there was nowhere to go for Mankind. The crowd suddenly became rowdy as Bret Hart sprinted in from behind the curtain unknown to Owen who had his back turned. Bret slid into the ring and with a sickening smile etched onto his face as he booted Owen in the side of the head, the force of which rang out around the arena as Owen fell to the mat instantly, seemingly out cold. Bret then rolled Mankind out of the ring before sliding back in Michaels as the crowd began booing profusely. Michaels started to gain his bearings in the corner and started tuning up the band as Owen stumbled to his feet unsure as to his whereabouts. Owen turned around and was nearly beheaded as Michaels hit him square in the jaw with the superkick. Not this way. One…Two…Three.

Winner and still WWF World Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels

Match Rating: A

Bret continued to lay the boot into Owen before being joined by Triple H who had just ran in from the back. Bret, Triple H and Michaels held their arms aloft high in the ring as Michaels displayed the Championship proudly. The show faded off air as Bret picked Owen up by his hair and began trash talking right into his face. He then brutally kicked him back down to the mat.
