Thinking of doing a diary as SWF, but using my "creative liberty" to add Davie Renluenn to the roster. From there you'll not only get the basic in ring action, but you'll also be taken right into the middle of the FBI investigation of Richard Eisen.

Won't be until after the new year this actually starts up, and it's not a terribly crazy idea (I think several people will have the same thought process I did), but here goes what will basically be the first post...

P.S. No pictures right now and the identity of who is talking won't be explicitly stated, but shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Location: The Warehouse, Southern California

It's dark backstage except for a lone lamp propped in the corner. The light shines in my direction. I guess it's a suitable metaphor for the situation. Tonight is my night. Finally. Someone hands me a glass of champagne and advice...

"You gotta learn to relax, kid. S*** ain't that big. Money? I got mad stacks. Fame? All them n****** know my name. Power? No need for that when you got money and fame. You feel me? This is about the block. My crew versus your crew. Sometimes, you gotta remind them who they're dealing with."

I take a sip of the bubbly. It's Cristal. The highest quality. Goes down smooth. Take a lot more than that to loosen me up though. Guy goes by the name of Boneyard hovers over the two of us. He's rigid as stone. No expression. Like a machine designed solely to elicit fear. Grimm's waiting for me to say something.

"I know Grimm. I know. Just nervous. I left gold behind for this."

Grimm smiles.

"Got plenty of gold too, if you catch what I'm saying."

He's right about that. Gold chains. Gold teeth. Gold car. A shiny gold belt that'll have my name on it eventually.

"Hell, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't expecting the big belt when I moved out here, but you know that's not what this is about. No offense, but you're just starting out. The belt I gave up, wasn't worth a whole lot, but it was worth something."

A beautiful girl, her skin the perfect mixture of light and dark, approaches the three of us.

"Two minutes boys."

Grimm smiles and pats her on the ass. She wiggles that fantastic butt as she walks away.

"But this ain't about gold, is it kid?"

"You know it's not."

"S***, can't wait to see the look on his face after tonight."

I try and think of a phrase, a quotation, the perfect thing to finish this conversation. All I come up with is...

"My name is my name."

Grimm and Boneyard step out from behind the curtain first. The mic crackles as Grimm taps it.

"I know you m*********** can't wait to get this party started, but I said I got an announcement to make. Give it up for the newest member of the Grimm SoCal Wrestling fam... [NAME REDACTED].

I walk out onto the stage. The place is dead silent. All eyes are on me.

My name is [REDACTED]. What the hell have I just done?

The idea of one of them getting right into the inside is an interesting one, although whether they'd be any better off in the company than out is another matter. Short of Christian Faith, I don't know if any of the workers have that much access to Richard Eisen. Still, seeing how he trys to get close should be an interesting one. * Bri, your NYCW diary is the reason I play the CVerse, so if you do come back then you'll have a guaranteed reader in me - never mind that Joey Minnesota is one of my favourite characters as well!

Well, my 2010 diary died out very quickly due to real life stuff, (and maybe because I wrote out the big matches move-for-move) but it had a decent following while it was going... It was a 0/0/0/0 C-verse fed in Canada. I'll do something similar this year but since I think it's possible to actually become a global fed while starting in my particularly brutal (importance wise) home country of Australia, (due to the fact that region importance can change) I'll start there instead.

The scene's shaping up to be very interesting as well, with DIW providing the early competition, ZEN maybe becoming fast friends so I can use all their talent (an alliance, perhaps?), APW being a far bigger powerhouse this time around with the extra cash, and RAW being, well... HUGE. Plus, there's a huge swath of unemployed talent that all debuted in the last couple years. Should be fun.

NB: I've been working indies in Australia for nearly eleven years now, so if that gets me more readers for the curiosity factor of reading a diary written by someone with that amount of experience in the business, then hooray for me. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I like it. The idea of one of them getting right into the inside is an interesting one, although whether they'd be any better off in the company than out is another matter. Thanks man, I'm pretty excited about it. And I've already thought of who my inside man is. I think it will be a shocker, but I think the story behind it will make a lot of sense.
