"Heartthrob" Antonio Estes vs "Prince" Paul Crowley

I feel like Crowley's the more know of the two.

Tiger Singh vs "Easy Rider" Tanner Ellis

I know Tiger will get a lot of screen time with this promotion. But Ellis is the bigger "name" at this point.

Jarid Hart & Caleb Adonis vs Cedric Blake & Omar Xavian

It's the Black Hart! Nuff Said!

Show should be up tomorrow if anyone wants to get some last minute predictions in.

Have you considered teaming up Special FX and Ion? the Future is Now!

Funnily enough the do end up as a sort of unofficial team over the weeks. I'm sure they'll end up an official team at some point, they just need a name :D

I really like the first show, it was simple (please, don't misunderstand this) but effective.

PS: As always, sorry for my bad english. I know it sucks, but well, thats just the way it is.

Thanks Andy, that's exactly what I was hoping for with the writeups. Oh, and don't worry about your English, it's fantastic :)

THE RETURN OF TERRY THUNDER [THUNDERVERSE]

A TEW2013 DIARY

TCW BREAKTHROUGH EPISODE #2

FILMED AT THE ASYLUM IN PHILADELPHIA, PA - TUESDAY 2 MARCH 2013

AIRED MONDAY MARCH 8 2013 ON NATIONAL PRIDE TV (0.03)

ANNOUNCE TEAM: ACE LOMAX & JESSICA THUNDER (TEMPORARY)

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/TCW%20Diary/Cards/TerryThunder.jpg

TERRY THUNDER

Once again the President and namesake of TCW, Terry Thunder, kicked off the show in the centre of the ring. He said that, like the fans in attendance, he was extremely proud of the show "last week" (it was, in reality, only taped the day before) and said that everyone involved proved exactly why they were in the company - because they either were the best, or had the potential to become the best. Thunder continued by announcing two stellar main events for the next two shows – Ares against Zeke King next week and Tanner Ellis against Silverback for the week after. The winners of those two matches would go on to wrestle for the chance to become inaugural TCW World champions at the big monthly event, Flashpoint, which is set to take place on Thursday 25 March 2013.

LOS BORICUAS

Backstage Alex Vidal, Alvaro Buey III and (Daniel) Azaria cut a promo explaining their plans for Thunder Championship Wrestling – namely taking it over and winning every title available. The group, collectively known as Los Boricuas, referenced the promo of the British Lions last week, which saw Vickie James explain the strengths of each member, by referring to each wrestler of their own stable as “the best wrestler in the world”!

"Prince" Paul Crowley w/Vickie James vs "Heartthrob" Antonio Estes

In the night's first match, one-third of the British Lions,
“Prince” Paul Crowley
was involved in a tough encounter with
Antonio Estes
. The Puerto Rican cruiserweight put in a fantastic shift against the Englishman, but Crowley's superior wrestling experience was telling and after a couple of mistakes from Estes, Crowley capitalised, locked in the
Prince's Lock
and the match was over.

RESULT: Paul Crowley wins in 7:44! E

BILLY GRACE - ERIN SCOTT

Next up Erin Scott, TCW's backstage interviewer, talked to “Rocker” Billy Grace about his journey to TCW. Grace mentioned his training in Tennessee and how he had been spotted at an independent event by one of Terry Thunder's scouts. Telling Scott and the fans not to underestimate him because of his gimmick, his look or his love of rock n' roll, Grace said he hoped to become one of the stars of TCW.

Tiger Singh vs "Easy Rider" Tanner Ellis

In a match booked by Jessica Thunder last week,
Tanner Ellis
and
Tiger Singh
went one-on-one in the show's semi-main event. Singh proved himself to be a good wrestler, but Ellis matched him all the way. Ellis had the size advantage, but contrary to some fans belief, not an advantage in experience as Singh is a well known wrestler in his homeland. Singh, however, appears to live life on the thin line between control and fury and this time he crossed it. Locking in a chokehold, Singh refused to let Ellis go and with the referee counting towards his disqualification Singh didn't look in the least bit interested. With the hold still applied, Referee Jacob Loeb had no choice but to call for the bell.

RESULT: Tanner Ellis wins via DQ in 9:08! D

JESSICA THUNDER - TIGER SINGH

With the match over Jessica Thunder came out to the ring and warned Tiger Singh that actions such as the one the fans just witnessed would not be tolerated for long. Singh said he was simply testing the waters, but Thunder wasn't impressed. She told Singh that she has the ability to fire anyone in the company that breaks the rules continuously, and so far Singh has two for two! The Indian, however, simply grinned, explaining that he had nothing to fear from the General Manager.

JARID HART - CASSIDY - MISS KELLY - CALEB ADONIS

With the main event just moments away, Jarid Hart, Caleb Adonis, Miss Kelly and Cassidy came out to the ring. Hart said that he was the finest specimen in the TCW locker-room, but that his three colleagues all came a close second. Hart once again claimed that his promo had no real purpose except to bump up ratings – and his wages – and once again it had the crowd riled up, just in time for the final match of the night.

Jarid Hart & Caleb Adonis w/Cassidy & Miss Kelly vs Cedric Blake & Omar Xavian

Jarid Hart & Caleb Adonis
were well prepared for their match against
Cedric Blake & Omar Xavian
, with Xavian in particular looking a little worse for wear having been 'blinded' during his last match against Adonis. In the middle of the match Blake and Adonis had an interesting segment that saw some decent chain wrestling, although most fans saw that it was almost entirely thanks to Blake. Last week Adonis needed to cheat to beat Xavian, but in this match no cheating was necessary and after a decent nine minute bout Jarid Hart hit the
Hart Stopper
on the Trinidadian for the victory.

RESULT: Jarid Hart & Caleb Adonis win in 9:32! D

OVERALL SHOW RATING: D+

Once again thank you to everyone who made a prediction. This was another show that featured a couple of fairly predictable matches along with one that threw a few people. Four people managed to get 3 out of 3, Tiberious4, Sebsplex (who continues his perfect streak!), TheEnforcer and Emark.

The standing after two shows is as follows...

1st Place (100%)

Sebsplex

2nd Place (83.3%)

Tiberious4

Emark

The Enforcer

3rd Place (66.7%)

20LEgend

Midnightnick

CageRage

MichiganHero

MJStark

Andy Kobain

kanegan

Zergon

4th Place (50%)

Psycho_Sam

5th Place (33.3%)

angeldelayette*

Remember, to be in with a shot of winning the prediction prize (which is looking likely to tie into Chatterbox/FaceSpace somehow), you must predict on two TV shows and the monthly big show. The contest will run for one month before starting over. The asterisk next to angeldelayette's name indicates he needs one more TV show prediction to qualify.

Oh, and for anyone interested this diary is already guaranteed to last longer than my previous AWF diary (which wasn't bad at 13 shows, admittedly). I have the first 15 shows booked and, perhaps more importantly, written up. No signs of slowing down either :)

Prediction card 3 will be up either tonight or tomorrow evening. :)

I really like the way that the last show went. In fact, the push on Tiger Singh seems perfect to me (im using now on my own game too, thanks for the idea).

I know that we have only witnessed two shows, but im hoping to see Los Boricuas vs The British Lions on a elimination match at the next 'Big show'.

Btw, I really like the gimmick of Hart. The promo was great, it was kind like a shoot and fits perfect with his character.

I like the flexibility someone like Tiger Singh gives. Particularly for a small promotion, he has the skills to be pushed in any number of ways, but this argumentative one-upmanship seems to suit him well whenever I end up booking him!

Btw, I really like the gimmick of Hart. The promo was great, it was kind like a shoot and fits perfect with his character.

As one of the bigger names on the roster I figured Jarid Hart would be given quite a bit of room to work his own promos and ideas compared to someone like Talon who, while still high up the card, is effectively untested. In reality I think it would be a case of Thunder giving Hart enough leeway to push the company forward, but knowing at the same time it might backfire. It's an interesting dynamic that I'm quite enjoying 'managing' backstage. Of course, onscreen it is even more fun as Hart can push things that little bit further than the rest. :D

Ray Lisbon vs Elix Storm

Midcard guy over opener

Jakked (Darnell Jack & Blade) vs The British Lions II (James Danielson & Thomas Beaumont)

British Lions did get some promo time at the first show and Crowley got a win in second show while Jakked haven´t been seen at all so I figure that British Liona has the advantage here. Oh and Darnell is opener while rest of these guys are on midcard.

WORLD TITLE QUALIFIER: "God Of War" Ares vs Zeke King (both faces)

I just pick this one on personal preference.

Just supporting the guy that have a place in my own diary.

Jakked (Darnell Jack & Blade) vs The British Lions II (James Danielson & Thomas Beaumont)

British Lions seems to be set on a sustained push

WORLD TITLE QUALIFIER: "God Of War" Ares vs Zeke King (both faces)

Nobody defeats God of War

Ray Lisbon vs Elix Storm

Storm is a decent prospect, but Lisbon has the edge for me.

Jakked (Darnell Jack & Blade) vs The British Lions II (James Danielson & Thomas Beaumont)

The British Lions are a talented trio (or duo in this case). Blade and Jack on the other hand... not so much, so cue more online sniping from Brian Jack. ;)

WORLD TITLE QUALIFIER: "God Of War" Ares vs Zeke King (both faces)

It's not beyond the realm of possibility that King could take this, but Ares is probably your biggest player behind Hart and I think he has to be in the World Title mix, especially when you're crowning your inugural champion.
