<p>September 2016. BHOTWG drops to Cult and <strong>THEN</strong> decides that it's a good time to ruin my promotion (WEXXV) by signing my main eventers and upper midcarders away:</p><p> </p><p>

Zeshin Makioka, my World champ, pop A at Tohoku. </p><p>

Yoshizada Matsuzawa, great tag chem with Makioka, one of my best guys, pop A at Tohoku. </p><p>

Taheiji Konoe, B pop at Tohoku. </p><p>

Findlay O'Farraday, constantly at ME/Upper mid and the one who had great matches with Senmatsu. </p><p>

Azumamaro Kita, solid upper midcarder.</p><p>

Aztec Prince, a surprisingly good worker for WEXXV. </p><p> </p><p>

5 days later, I sign ex-GCG icon and legend Hiroyasu Gakusha <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I'm at D+ Tohoku and he's C+ all around and had his quads torn several months ago and got unemployed! Signed him, put into surgery, he was going to get back in 5 months, now only 33 days. Nice! And I still have Senmatsu, Morisue, Molokai Milk and Kuniyoshi Kawamura.</p>

What really saddens me about those guys leaving my company is that most of them had stats starting from C and ending in B+ due to my booking and planning.. Stats like performance and entertainment stats. I feel like I'm the MAW of Japan. I created them. I made them B- to A popular in Tohoku. <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> If only I was Cult and could sign them into Written deals. Damn. I'm getting constant B- to A matches and A-A* angles.

I'm no puro expert, but I asked the same questio a while back. Basically their stories are told in the ring. They still have talking segments, but they're not near as common. It's still treated like a real sport. In other words, book it like UFC if you're going for realism. Press conference for big fights, hype videos before matches, face offs after matches etc.

<p>Just managed to sign Matthew Keith away from BHOTWG and bring him back to the US. I have Greg Gauge right now, I am going to do a long Keith Brothers vs The Ring Generals feud, and it should be amazing. I love Waldorf and Statler.</p><p> </p><p>

I also have Bryan Holmes down in my Dev territory as a trainer, should be great for the massive roster I have down there.</p>

Due to no one seeming to have much of an idea about toxic workers and if its possible to send them down to developmental to avoid their toxicity, i decided to go for the safe option and release Rich Money from USPW. It leaves a hole to fill in my roster, as he was key in my national battle top 5. I have shortlisted him in the hopes that within a year i'll be able to re-sign him, but for now may game has been shook up, and a new challenge put in front of me.

Unless in your game Big Smack Scott did something similar too? I wasn't just on about being a negative influence backstage, the new 'toxic' feature affects sponsorship deals, attendance etc. So if he was under contract, wouldn't i still be getting dinged for that, even in development? If WWE sent Hogan to NXT after his little outburst recently, I would assume people would not have been happy with that. Its also why i don't think the AI will sign him, until its worn off and by then I'll be negotiating to bring him back too, but i could be wrong and maybe sending him to development would have worked... I think I could do with some clarification on that. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Ah, I thought you meant his personality was toxic (as in being a negative influence). I haven't encountered that incident yet but I would've sent him on a vacation. No way would I let a competitor possibly get their grubby hands on a worker of that high a value, especially given USPW's precarious situation. USPW isn't hurting for cash so the loss of some sponsorship revenue for a short time (and anything less than two years is a short time IMO) wouldn't kill them.

The Hulk Hogan example isn't a fair comparison though. WWE is a publicly traded company so they do things to appease Wall Street much of the time. Remember, this is the same Vince McMahon who kept Jimmy Snuka after the Nancy Argentino incident (Backlund was champion but Snuka was the biggest star), and even brought him back to the company. TWICE! There are also stories told by old timers about a tour of the Middle East where Snuka was caught with cocaine taped to his body. The same Vince McMahon who continued to do business with Carlos Colon and Victor Jovica after they did all they could to cover up and gloss over the fact that their business partner murdered Bruiser Brody. If any of that had happened today, Snuka, Primo, and Epico (or whatever names they're using now) would've been taken off TV immediately and quietly released. Different times, different circumstances.

Long time lurker and former WMMA3 junkie here. First time posting about TEW. Played TEW13 like it was my job and decided to download 16 because I knew I would eventually. I started up a game with CZCW as Jay Chord, which was my go-to for some reason in TEW13. I'm using it to get back in to the swing of things while I wait for a real world mod. I'm about a year in to my game:

-Pretty early on Japan was hit by a big tsunami, and the game ran a headline saying that it's pretty much decimated and to avoid running shows there for a few years. This added some realism to it as I don't ever recall getting this type of news story in '13. However, given my size, I don't think I'll be running shows out there anytime soon.

-Kurt Laramee died thanks to a grenade.

-The big controversy that rocked the Cornellverse was that Champagne Lover had an audio tape leak of him making some pretty risky and controversial statements (brother!) which led to his immediate termination from SOTBPW. He was labeled as someone companies didn't want any part of due to these statements...so they must have been pretty serious!

-As far as my promotion goes, we were raided pretty early on and some of the top guys were scooped up by TCW. Masked Cougar, Donnie J and Frankie Perez were the big losses for us. In fact, Donnie J jumped ship while holding the title and I didn't have a chance to have him formally drop it so the belt just suddenly became vacant. I put it on Jay Chord, who is definitely my best worker, while I tried to establish my roster.

The fast riser up the card was Marvel Malloy. He and Storm got crazy over thanks to their tag title run, so I took the belts off of them to give them more singles attention. I was going to have Chord drop the strap to Malloy over the course of a few matches, but their first meeting didn't really go over well with the fans so I scrapped the idea. At the same time, I decided to give Ernest Youngman the Reigns treatment and pushed him, except the fans took to it and I put the belt on him and he is the current holder. His most recent defense came in a triple threat match against Fox Mask and Air Attack Weasel.

I'm starting to build up Jack Avatar, because in TEW13 I found that he and Jay Chord absolutely crush it every time they work together. Island Boy Apollo is also starting to get a push. Overall, I have a very young roster.

The elder statesmen of the CZCW, Super Ninja, was touring in Japan when he suffered a broken neck and is over for about 14 months, and at 41 years old, his career is probably done with.

Coming off of Just Another Day which managed a B+ which is my highest pay per view rating so far.

The biggest news is Sammy Bach is the new TCW World Heavyweight Champion! I was split on whether to give him the strap or keep it on Andrews but Sammy has been pulling in great ratings and is shooting up in popularity, nearing the 90's at this point, so it just felt like the right time. Andrews is obviously going in for his rematch at Where Angels Fear to Tread which will be the rubber match as they're tied 1-1 right now.

The semi-main saw Golden go over Marat Khoklov by count out so that feud will continue. Rocky's been a pain so far though, originally this was meant to be a draw but he wasn't happy with that even if he was protected, not to mention he's not really pulling in the ratings. Still he's the figurehead and he's doing the business in that regards so I've got to keep him happy until I get a better footing in the National Battle which I'm only just winning of SWF (USPW fell to cult pretty quickly).

Joshua Taylor & Mighty Mo have been gunning for The New Syndicate (Wolf, Jay Chord & Greg Guage) since they formed in January but haven't had much luck so far. They're latest setback was when Brent Hill joined the group helping Wolf & Chord win a tag match at the PPV to continue the feud. Meanwhile RDJ beat "The Star" Ross Henry by DQ when Henry purposefully attacked RDJ with a chair. I expect I'll give RDJ the win in the rematch since Henry doesn't have the pop to go over yet and then transition Henry into a few upper midcard feuds he can win.

The undercard saw The Extreme Alliance (Peak & Tornado) go over High Concept in a tables match while The Behemoths retained the tag titles against The New Wave. By tag division is in pretty good shape right now with those four teams leading the way as well as Future Shock (Chord & Gauge), Devine Fortune, The American Cobras and Too Cool (Fonzarelli & Tana as a dancing comedy duo with Haley Buck as their manager) propping it up with some decent ratings.

The rest of the card has Human Arsenal win the International title from Marc Speed, who just hasn't been pulling in the ratings I'd want to keep the belt on him, and Edd Stone defeat Freddy Huggins. That feud's developing into a big personal blood feud as Laura Huggins chose her new boyfriend Edd over her brother. Vita's stuck with Freddy in the scorned woman role so they'll likely be going at it for a while yet. A lot of cool things happening but I really need to start developing some of my undercard guys in the next few months and especially after Total Mayhem.

So I set up an award show as my first PPV of the year! I love it! I can use angles to present tournament titles as awards. I use a custom company in C-verse and we're still pretty small with only one singles title. No tag title yet. So it's kind of cool that I'll have some titles and history to look back on.

Ok, yeah i see your point more now. To be honest, Money lost quite a bit of pop (90 down to 74 US wide) when he became toxic, he is 41 at my point in the game (august 2016) and i can always bring him back once he becomes signable, so ultimately i'm not too disappointed. Vacation was something i didn't think about trying, but if it ever comes up again i'll definitely give that a go. Right now i'm just going to build talent and accept that i'm going to come at least second (behind SWF) in the national battle.

EDIT: Jay Chord has just broken into the main event and is the new 5th member of my national battle workers. He has A rated star quality and is only at 78 overness right now, but i think he can ultimately carry the company and become the new number one heel. Every cloud has a silver lining! :D

Threw together a mostly empty database to watch it get populated. Tentative start date is 1920 based on the old effganic data from I think TEW 2010. Because they need to be there to start with, the data has 2 workers (1 user character, 1 non) and 1 company.

At the beginning of 1925, there are 9 companies, 699 eligible workers, and for the first time, a Wrestler of the Year was crowned. Some interesting notes:

  • The trending product in Europe is Lucha Libre. Modern and Realism are Unpopular.
  • Lucha Libre is also trending in Canada, where only 1 company has opened. They don't use Lucha Libre.
  • Of the 9 promotions in the world, 3 are in the USA (all in New England), 4 are in Japan (all in different regions), 1 is in Canada and 1 is in Australia. Europe, Mexico and the British Isles are still lacking wrestling.
  • No companies have gone under yet. In the first test, the starting company went under after a few years, but with 1.05 they're doing fine.
  • Since coming into existence in August 1920, the one Canadian company, GCPW has won Company of the Year every year that there has been a winner.

Does Amber Allen rip it up in every game and I'm just now finding her? I'm in 2018 and started my company in Jan 2018 as a replacement to NOTBPW which was bought by SWF.

Amber Allen has been my Womens champ since, she currently has my top match at 94 against Lauren Easter. I have never had a womens division as good as I have right now.
