Predictions for KOTR 2001 in my save

Just made a bracket for my KOTR 2001 tournament on Challonge and noticed there is a possibility to open up for predictions!

There is both a winner's and loser's bracket, so a pretty huge tournament for the 16 men involved. The winner will recieve a world championship oppurtunity.

Heels and faces with seeding in brackets:

Heels: Triple H (1), Christian(8), William Regal(9), Big Show(5), Mike Awesome(15), Edge(7), Rhyno(14)

Faces: Eddie(16), The Undertaker(4), Matt Hardy(13), Jeff Hardy(12), Chris Benoit(2), Goldust(10), Chris Jericho(3), Kane(6), Raven(11)

So if yall want then predict away!

I shall update the previous post!

Thanks, I just did one. I had Undertaker and Jeff Hardy re-creating their famous match in the 2nd round. Undertaker loses to Triple H, who goes to the final and is upset by Jericho for the win!

Then in the final of the loser bracket, Chris Benoit avenges a loss to Edge in the original tourney and Jericho has to face his partner.

Interesting you have Raven as a face, I wonder what that character is like.

In the death of WCW Raven starts as a face, and that is the mod I am using! Will most likely turn in the future. For now he is more as a face tweener, cool face sort of deal.

And thank you for predicting! I will have a lot of fun with this anyways but predictions really add to it!

The year is 1999 (started in 1998). Stephanie McMahon was hired as a manager to one of my developmental territories in a PPA contract upon her entrance to the business. Not one month later, the power duo is born.

Stephanie McMahon and Doug Williams have began dating.

Currently playing around with the WOTI VI mod and really enjoying the multitudes of creative booking you can explore.

Though in saying that I did come across this....?

I assume it is a quirk of the game.

Damn fun to discover.

Injuries are manually added in the editor, so whoever made the Injuries for WOTI added Food Poisoning as an injury, since there's no true "out of ring" section for stuff like that. That's why news reports look like that

TCW World's Finest deserves its own post, as we're into the final round of the group stage.

One thing I've taken away from this is that I could have easily started the tournament in October instead of September (as I did), as it's the beginning of December and I only have six more matches to get through before the group finals end at Malice in Wonderland in January.

The current standings:

GROUP B

Jay Chord (4-0, 8 points)

Brent Hill (3-1, 6 points)

Troy Tornado (2-2, 4 points)

Masked Cougar (2-2, 4 points)

Ricky Storm (1-3, 2 points)

Fumihiro Ota (0-4, 0 points)

We'll start with Group B since it's more cut and dry: Jay Chord and Brent Hill are going to the semifinals. It's not much of a question of who will win the group, either: Chord's last match is against the winless Ota, while Hill will face Cougar. Hill holds the tiebreaker over Tornado by virtue of his win in Round 4.

GROUP A

Nicky Champion (4-0, 8 points)

Aaron Andrews (3-1, 6 points)

Bart Biggins (2-2, 4 points)

Davis Wayne Newton (2-2, 4 points)

Freddy Huggins (1-3, 2 points)

Matt Hocking (0-4, 0 points)

This is where things get complicated, particularly for the New School of Tradition.

Champion is assured a spot in the semifinals. Andrews' final match is against Newton (the tentative semi-main at Malice in Wonderland) and he's in if he wins. If Newton wins, and Biggins loses to Freddy Huggins, Newton gets the second spot. If Newton and Biggins both win, there's a three-way tie for second and all three guys will be 1-1 against the other two. And I don't actually know how that's going to shake out. Does the New School sacrifice Biggins to give Newton a chance to get in? Do they let it play out and risk the Competition Committee stepping in? Or risk Newton losing straight up and getting shut out entirely? I've been looking for the time to pull the trigger on fracturing the group (read: kicking Bryan Vessey out) but Bart may have to go as well...

And we still have to get through Psycho Circus first. That show's going to be nuts, as I'm running with "Circus" and loading the card up with gimmick matches, including a six-man scramble for the World title.

9Ty9SjN.jpg

In it we saw HHH edging out Eddie after Eddie's bad seeding.

Regal defeating Christian in a competitive match that went for almost 20 minutes.

The Undertaker and Big Show having competitive matches with both the Hardyz.

Benoit and Mike Awesome beating the piss out of each other, with Benoit ending up the victor.

Edge defeating Goldust with a little help from Christian.

Jericho getting beat up for 10 minutes by the man beast Rhyno, but ending up eeking out the victory.

And Raven upsetting Kane after Big Show interfered.

Next we move to the first round of the loser's bracket.

The card for my version of "ROH Past vs. Present"

ROH Past vs. Present:

John Walters* vs. Mark Haskins (Pure Title Tourney)

Homicide vs. Brody King (Pure Title Tourney)

Mark Briscoe vs. Jay Briscoe

Jay Lethal vs. Austin Aries*

Jeff Cobb © vs. Low-Ki* (World Title)

Jonathan Gresham vs. Doug Williams (Pure Title Tourney)

Tracy Williams vs. Erick Stevens (Pure Title Tourney)

Andrew Everett vs. Paul London*

Will Ferrara vs. Jimmy Rave*

The Amazing Red vs. Tommy Mercer

Generation Next (Shelley/Sydal) vs. Villain Enterprises (Marty/Flip)

The * indicates they are on a one night only deal. Both Red and Mercer are recent additions to the roster, and considering the big flop TNA made with Mercer compared to a monster build I've already started with him, I like the little story of that one. No Xavier, so I grabbed the two-time champ to take on Jay Lethal. Cobb beat PCO rather than Rush, so he can defend against another hard-hitting former ROH World Champ. Erick Stevens' retirement tour had to make a stop in ROH in my universe. I think I might even put him over Tracy Williams as my roster is bloated and Williams could do better elsewhere. Will Ferraraand Jimmy Rave going at it is just a nod to Rave from me, I love the guy. Ferrara will go over though, he's a workhorse. I know London is set to make an appearance at the show, I have him taking on promising cruiserweight to give him the rub there.

Let me know what order I should set the card up in, its still a good month out at this point. :D

Jay Lethal/Austin Aries modern tv opening (

The Amazing Red def. Tommy Mercer with a Code Red (47)

-I did not pick a winner, set it to open. Red was Lower Mid, Mercer was Midcard. They did not click. :( Match got the crowd hotter. Mercer getting better at his gimmick.

Erick Stevens def. Tracy Williams with a Reverse Piledriver (46)

-Erick Stevens suffered a Retracted Index Finger

Will Ferrara def. Jimmy Rave with the Hyper Drive (44)

-This match got the crowd buzzing

Villain Enterprises segment (46)

-Brody King was good, Flip Gordon underperformed. ZSJ was also introduced to the stable earlier this year

Jonathan Gresham def. Doug Williams with a Spike Driver (60)

-Doug Williams landed a 60. Gresham a 48

Andrew Everett def. Paul London with a Toe Touch Moonsault (57)

-London with a 65 to Everett's 35

Brody King def. Homicide with a Gonzo Bomb (55)

-Brody King sustained a Wrist Sprain. Marty landed good chemistry managing Brody, PCO, and Flip in this game haha. So that's great. Homicide and Brody King had good chemistry. I'll have a rematch but Homicide will leave soon

Mandy Leon def. Cheerleader Melissa with a Leonsault to retain ROH Women's World Championship (43)

-Mandy beat Serena Deeb in a tournament final to win the belt, so this is helping her rise in that regard. Melissa did land a 47 to her 36

Jeff Cobb and Low-Ki brawl ahead of their match (30)

Mark Haskins def. John Walters by submission (49)

-Walters 47, Haskins 46 here.

Jay Briscoe def. Mark Briscoe with a Jay Driller (49)

-Mark actually had a 54 to Jay's 46

Jeff Cobb def. Low-Ki with a Tour of the Islands to retain ROH World Title (40)

-They didn't click and there was a lack of flow. Cobb with 48 to Low-Ki's 45

And, of course

Jay Lethal def. Austin Aries with a Hail to the King in 27:43 (72)

-Great chemistry, bad announcing and colour. (I like Ian though). Aries with 80, and Lethal with 66. Aries ain't worth it though haha

Marty Scurll and Flip Gordon def. Alex Shelley and Matty Sydal when Marty def Shelley with the Black Plague. (63)

-Shelley was the weak link. 40. Matty 68, Flip 54, Marty 62

Overall: 62

Increased in 18 regions. In Demand wants 70 lol

Having a tough time going through my TCW save with 2020 around the corner lol However, some notes:

Andrews still champ as Golden didn't resign with me and went to the SWF. I turned Chance Fortune and Darryl Devine heel to help Andrews retain the title, reforming The L.A. Connection and bought in Justice Jolson as the muscle/big(still needs work).

So far, so good Greg Gauge is climbing and is an absolute gem, but on a dare with myself to keep him PPA and still work with MAW.

Made Elliot Thomas and signed Jebidiah to form my version of Danny Doring and Roadkill (I couldn't tell you how I got there with that one lol)

Bought in Xavi Ferrera to pal with Guide and Scout in their fight with Eddie Peak, Killer Shark, and Titan.

Let American Buffalo walk, had a thought to put Goldworthy with Peak & Behemoths, but haven't done it.

Signed Babau and Moroi on PPA and they've been great.

Got Mighty Mo to move up heavyweight and booking him like a machine.

Didn't get in many signing battles.

Was going to start running a Woman's division but haven't pulled the trigger.

But alas, I can feel the steam running out because I really don't know if I'll go back to 16. My plan is to end off in August of my save, explore 2020 and take it from there.

TCW News!

November 2016

With the TCW roster beginning to grow larger and larger, the TCW Board decided to revive the Cruiserweight division, splitting the male division in two. Ricky Dale Johnson, General Manager of the TCW Male Roster, revealed that at A Little South Of Sanity, there would be a Four Way Ladder Match to crown the brand new Cruiserweight Champion.

There were four qualifying matches to decide who will participate in the Ladder Match, and the results were the following:

One of TCW hottest rising stars, Mikey James defeated Silver Tiger to join the Ladder Match.

After retiring the team High Concept with Greg Black, Benny Benson advanced by defeating TCW Tag Team Champion Edd Stone.

A newer face to TCW, Z-Man (Zimmy Bumfhole) defeated Greg Black to advance.

After losing the International Title to Angry Gilmore only weeks prior, Nicolas Lopez joined the Cruiserweight Division and advanced to the ladder match by defeating Masked Cougar.

In a non-stop, action filled contest filled with plenty of ladder chaos, it would be Mikey James who would retrieve the Cruiserweight Title from high above. In his post-match interview, James made it clear to TCW fans that he will not allow the Cruiserweight Title to once again become a forgettable, lower card championship.

“Yeah, we might be the smaller guys, but we can bring the fight as much as anyone. Mark my words! I swear on whatever you want me to swear on! By the time someone finally manages to pry this title from my cold dead hands? This Cruiserweight Title will be as prestigious as any championship in the wrestling world!”

In Other News…

TCW World Heavyweight Champion Wolf Hawkins came to the ring to celebrate his successful defense over Nicky Champion at Threatening Behavior, bringing their intense feud to a conclusion.

Surprise! After going away to film a movie, Champagne Lover made his anticipated return to TCW, interrupting Wolf's celebration! Lover would challenge Wolf for his TCW World Heavyweight Championship, believing he was worthy because of a singles victory (via DQ) over Hawkins. After several altercations between the two, it would be Ricky Dale Johnson who booked the match to headline A Little South Of Sanity!

What we would witness would be an instant classic! Hawkins & Lover would battle to a 60 Minute Time Limit Draw! Neither man could defeat the other in an hour’s time! (98 Rating!)

Afterwards, Lover would call for sudden death, and eventually GM RDJ would come out and propose it as well! Reluctantly, Wolf Hawkins would return to ringside with his title. But, just before re-entering the ring, Hawkins called for a mic.

“You had your chance!”

Just those four words directed at Lover, then Hawkins tossed the mic and marched out of the arena with his title belt!

My last post about my TCW game gave me an itch to do another, so here we go.

Just an fyi, I pretty much look at this game as my last for TEW2016, so I’m going all out with my favorite company. Scooping up all the top guys, doing gigantic PPVs with a ton of gimmick matches, building up male and women divisions.

TCW News!

December 2016

TCW revealed its 13th Pay-Per-View of the year, dubbed Wrestler of the Year. On the PPV, there would be an eight man tournament, the winning walking away with the WOTY trophy!

TCW General Manager Ricky Dale Johnson revealed the 2016 Points Rankings that would establish the tournament brackets. For every win in 2016, a wrestler received one point. But! There were bonus points issued for title victories and special gimmick matches (for example, The Total Mayhem Match). The top eight wrestlers in the rankings were issued a spot in the tournament! The brackets were as follows:

(#1) Wolf Hawkins vs Aaron Andrews (#8)

(#4) Mikey James vs Freddy Huggins (#5)

(#3) Eddie Peak vs Jay Chord (#6)

(#2) Rocky Golden vs Sammy Bach (#7)

Sorry folks, I actually did the entire points rankings to build these brackets, but accidentally deleted it. It was tedious and I wasn’t doing it again! I assure you, these brackets are legit!

One tiebreaker match would be needed to complete the bracket. Tied in points, Jay Chord would defeated Sammy Bach in singles competition to secure the 6th Seed.

Unfortunately, Jay Chord would suffer an injury (*cough* suspended after starting a locker room fight *cough*), and was removed from the tournament. There was a Six Pack Challenge, pitting the wrestlers who came in 9th Through 14th Place in the Points Rankings against each other, the winner replacing Jay Chord in the tournament. Nicky Champion would win the honor, taking Chord’s spot as the 6th Seed.

Without further to do, here is the 2016 Wrestler of the Year Tournament, Live on Pay-Per-View!

Opening Round Matches

TCW World Heavyweight Champion Wolf Hawkins defeated Aaron Andrews, the man he took the World Title from all the way back in January 2016. Hawkins advances to the Semis.

TCW Cruiserweight Champion Mikey James defeated TCW World Tag Team Champion Freddy Huggins. James advances to face Wolf Hawkins.

Nicky Champion defeated Eddie Peak to advance. Peak would attempt to use the same spike that helped him defeat rival Joss Thompson just two weeks prior. But Thompson would appear and snatch the spike from Peak before Eddie could use it! Thompson distracted Peak enough to allow Champion to take advantage and secure the win!

Goliath beats David this time, as Rocky Golden defeated Sammy Bach to advance to the Semis.

Semi Final Matches

Heavyweight Champion vs Cruiserweight Champion! In an intense, back and forth encounter, Wolf Hawkins defeated Mikey James to secure his spot in the finals.

In a battle of top fan favorites, Rocky Golden defeated Nicky Champion to move on to the tournament finals.

The Finals!

The rematch of the Main Event of Total Mayhem XX! It’s only fitting in the finals of the Wrestler of the Year Tournament! In the end, Wolf Hawkins defeated Rocky Golden, but not without controversy. When the referee was down from a hard collision, Golden’s blood rival Remo would make his presence known and lay out Rocky! Hawkins would take full advantage and hit the Full Moon Rising for the 3!

Perhaps it’s just fitting how its end. Wolf Hawkins, raising both the Heavyweight Title and Wrestler of the Year Trophy up into the air at the same time as the PPV came to an end!

Non-Tournament PPV Matches

Continuing his (literal) monster push, Ray Diaz demolished Brent Hill to remain undefeated in TCW.

Kirk Jameson & Remo defeated TCW International Champion Angry Gilmore & Valiant. Gilmore and Valiant struggled to stay on the same page, which led to an argument late. Jameson & Remo would take advantage, with Remo securing victory for his team.

Joanne Rodriguez & Fuyuko Higa defeated TCW Women’s Champion Sara Marie York & Suzanne Brazzle. York had to watch as #1 Contender J-Rod had her arm raised after pinning Brazzle. York versus J-Rod for the Women’s Title is already signed for TCW Psycho Circus, and people are calling it the biggest women’s match in TCW history!

Nicolas Lopez defeated Benny Benson & Z-Man (Zimmy Bumfhole) in a Triple Threat Match to become #1 Contender to the TCW Cruiserweight Championship.

Started AEW from their first show in October to now. Tried to keep it close to reality as possible, save for making the Lucha Bros the first tag team champions instead of SCU.

Nyla Rose was let go after an altercation with Riho, so I've hired Madison Eagles to take over that role instead. It seems to be doing well, though it's only been two weeks since it happened.

Also joining are Nicole Savoy, Nicole Matthews, Kaitlyn, Kiera Hogan, and Kana as the first steal from WWE. The Women's division is steady growing on Dark, which should hopefully be fine until I catch up with the real world and then start to divulge onto my own path. I had set Allie to turn and manage The Butcher and The Blade, but her divorce from The Blade put the kibosh on that. Instead, I'm debating on whether Nicole Matthews can fill that role or if I get another manager for them entirely.

Brandi is still face, as I didn't want to turn her heel for the Nightmare Collective only to turn her face a few months later. She also has great chemistry with Cody, so I'm fine leaving them as is. Awesome Kong and Mel are both heels, albeit without a mouthpiece yet. Given that Kong gets written out and I want to stick to that, I'm sure both women will be jobbers to get the women over. Shanna and Sadie Gibbs especially, as both women have great upside.

Opened a development territory and started putting people in. First graduate? Human Tornado.

So far I've tried to limit myself from jumping at possible WWE talent, as I want to make sure they fit the style rather than just use them for the pop boost. Ricochet is my highest profile signing yet, though the Usos and The New Day (Big E and Kofi) would surpass him. Both teams would be a huge boost and could possibly help out other tags, so I'm hopeful. Doesn't hurt that I'd be signing away the current WWE Champion as well.

Will probably pick up Brodie Lee and Matt Hardy as well, since the original plan was to book up to Blood and Guts as AEW did before splintering off. No one's even made a move for Brodie, which given his 50 pop across the board surprises me.

Small hiccups aside (not signing PAC to a written until after Full Gear), i t's been a fun game. I'm enjoying how the game world is progressing and what challenges are being thrown at me. Hell, it gave me Taka and Taichi as my Dark mainstay tag team!

I'm currently in mid-2023 with SWF and I WISH I'd been doing this from the start, definitely using this idea in my next game, if you don't mind.

Continuing his (literal) monster push, Ray Diaz demolished Brent Hill to remain undefeated in TCW.

Also glad to see someone else signing Raymond Diaz as Ray to TCW as I always seem to do.

For myself, I'm having quite a problem in my aforementioned SWF game. Tommy Cornell is finally on time decline since the end of 2022 and I've been trying to depush him to about upper midcard before he starts stinking up the main event. The only problem is any time I put someone over him the match rating is either 99 or 100, so he barely loses any pop, even against an upper midcarder. Granted this is a fantastic problem to have as it means anyone I put over him will go up hugely in pop but his stamina is almost below the minimum 70 I require for non-tag roster members so I need him to hurry up and reduce his pop!
