I have a question. There are those times where you book a match between one guy and another that is significantly more popular. You use "Keep Strong" to eliminate most of the losses in popularity, but what about the other way?

If you put "Protect" on the winner with less popularity, does this decrease the gains in a more predictable way?

Here's another noobish question from me.

I have Logan Wolfsbaine as my champion and he's doing well. I've also noticed that he's got decent overness in Japan thanks to his apparent family ties and his recent tour with PGHW.

Both him and Gidaya are over in Japan, would it benefit me at all, as a 0 pop company, to put on a show in Kinki, where both of those workers are hitting 40 pop?

On top of that, any popularity you do gain will slowly erode if you don't have coverage there or if you don't visit it once in a while. You would be better off running shows in a region that gets spillover from your home area where your workers will be more popular and you will have decent attendance.

That is a huge oversight on my part. What's worse is, now that you mention it, I remember thinking (during the demo period) that weekly events might turn out better than a flat TV show when using a custom broadcaster. Time to test it out.

Thanks for the reminder. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Okay, since I didn't get an answer I decided to do some testing myself. I used SWF, on an event, booked only one match: Angry Gilmore vs Starr, with every User Preference unchecked. I did all of these twice and got the same results.

Starr is 51 popularity. Gilmore is 77.

Starr beats Gilmore with Decisive Finish: Starr gains 7 points of popularity. Gilmore loses 7.

Starr beats Gilmore with Decisive Finish. Gilmore has Keep Strong: Starr gains 7. Gilmore loses 1.

Starr beats Gilmore with Tainted Finish. Gilmore has Keep Strong: Starr gains 7. Gilmore loses 1.

Starr beats Gilmore with DF. Gilmore has Keep Strong. Starr has Protect: Starr gains 3 points. Gilmore loses 1.

So, if you want someone to gain popularity, but not too much popularity, put Protect on them. Also, if you're worried that the negative effects of stacking these notes, Keep Strong+Protect actually had a better match rating than just having Keep Strong.

Hey guys, bit of a newbish question here.

I converted an old TEW file with my fed having quite a few PPV/TV contracts. I'm at a point now where all of my contracts are up. When I go to negotiate, it says they are open to negotiate however it seems to be unavailable as it's only a dropdown saying to negotiate for events/tv and no action apparently at all. I believe I'm accomplishing all the goals as my shows do higher than the minimum quality and most of the broadcasters are set to neutral in terms of product stuff. clearly it's my first time getting to this part of the game so I'm kinda stumped

Is there anything I can do in the editor or anything?

Thanks again!

What do Media Groups do? In the editor, it says that only companies thata re owned by the ssame Media Group can get deals with a Broadcaster owned by a Media Group, but that's not the case.

Or is a single company being owned by the Media Group the condition for this to happen?

Just started a new game in DOTT. I'm still getting a feel for the new game. WWF is starting to expand nationally. As MACW, I'd like to match Vince. How can I add local stations to World Wide Wrestling? I'm clicking on the stations that are Willing To Negotiate but I don't see any options.

Also to minimize variables, it would have to be the only segment on the show.

I'm 3 yrs in an my ref has constantly bobbled back and forth between 60 and 62 for his ref skill level. My shows have gone from being extremely poor to varying between 50s and upper 70s. What is the best way to boost my ref? should I hire another one to do the undercard matches and only put him on the good ones?

You're misreading the screen. The drop down menus select what you are referencing. The four buttons are directly above each of the menus. You are mistaking them for headings.

How do i set events to be ppv's? I cant find the option anywhere and although i have a ppv deal im sure events are only being seen in the region they are held.

There ysed to be an option for size of event.

When you run the show, you set the Broadcasters for that event. Choose a PPV Broadcaster.

Events aren't "PPV only", per se, you can now run it on PPV in America, on TV in the UK, Free-to-Air in Japan, for example.
