Jon Claw
LIWC just went bankrupt again before the 18-month grace period ended. If you go too far in the red, is the grace period ignored? MaxxHexx
Yep. Fixed it for my second attempt. I was about 100k in debt though... I would put something in tech about that as Adam (via player's manual) said that shouldn't happen. Also, looking at your above roster, I think part of your problem is the cost of the folks you are bringing in. At the early stages you don't need to be spending 700 a pop, the most you need is 300 (including on your referee). The low level guys will get penalties, but they will keep you alive until you have a good base.

The Masked Mauler is owner and current champion. EOY1 Notes Using Maxx's advice, I've culled some of my roster for cheaper workers and turned my first profit in December!Christopher Ball went to go work in MMA for a while, hopefully he'll come back in one piece and I can push him.I'm currently pushing Fearless Blue to ultimately lose horribly to The Masked Mauler because of his constant complaining Year 1 Goals DON'T GO UNDER (complete) Year 2 Goals Still don't go under.Reduce current debt of 25k to 10k or better. Doogshere
End of Year Four Notes in Chronological Order January Can’t even get through the first week and I’m getting poached. CGC is going to take Killer Shark. I went and picked up Star Master, definitely not at the same pop level (about 30 less) but he’ll be cheaper, and I can push him hard. I put Fro Sure way over Killer Shark (Fro gained 9 pop). I also had Deaf Touch’s contract running out, so I decided to let him go and pick up a bigger name in Running Wolf. I renewed Raphael’s contract (good worker) February Capped myself at small, waiting for the economy to rise before I move up. May After getting some good profits with a rising economy, I decided to move up to Regional. July I started expanding to my second region. One show in tri-state (where I make money for every show), one in New England (lose money). Your next wrestling show gains you no money, but the company gets twice the amount of popularity from it. (Remove how much profit you gain from the next event, after having paid Workers and Show Costs Year 3: 52. lr10540
I lost Ernest Youngman and Acid II to RIPW in the same month. Fortunately I still have multiple talent combinations that can main event to the tune of a 74-81 grade. Moat combinations include my UC, so I don't foresee any point in time where I won't be top dog of the Tri-State indies. 21CW amassed a debt of over 20 million before finally succumbing to closure. I picked up Ricky Storm from them. He's developed into a quite amazing worker. Also signed Atlas who is now an excellent worker (regardless of being a big man, he's damn good) and David Stone to flesh out my midcard. Atlas and Storm are both replacing the raided Youngman and Acid II in my main event scene to keep things fresh. I've been running two shows a month, 1 a small hour show and the other a 2 hour event. I guess they're both technically events but whatever. I've been able to break even or be +/- 2k or so. I also released all my top, expensive talent at the beginning of the year except for Fro Sure, Mitico and Spade as my core 4 to go along with my UC in order to be able to run the second show without drowning myself in debt. The majority of my talent makes under 500 per appearance now. I've been releasing talents when they ask for raises like Nathaniel Casino. Gotta do what I gotta do for National! Tom Bombadil
At what point (if ever) is it financially beneficial to start doing fewer (or no) shows a month? I've been doing one show a week, with C+ industry and A* econ, and last month I only lost about $2500.
MaxxHexx
I would make an excel sheet that you can use to forecast your expected costs and income. then by altering one variable (shows per month) you can project when you should be running more versus less to meet your goals.
Tom Bombadil
That sounds like a good idea but I don't yet have a grasp of how shows affect income. (like does sponsorship care if you run shows?)
Jaded
That sounds like a good idea but I don't yet have a grasp of how shows affect income. (like does sponsorship care if you run shows?) AFAIK, sponsorship is the same regardless of how many shows you run (even if you don't run any.)
MaxxHexx
That sounds like a good idea but I don't yet have a grasp of how shows affect income. (like does sponsorship care if you run shows?) Off the top of my head my profit formula is =SUM(sponsorship+(shows*ticket price*attendees) and my cost formula is =SUM(fixed costs+(shows*(show cost*average worker costs)). You then make rows for months with a running tally of your balance. By changing variables you can plan over a year out for what expected cash flow should be. Doogshere
End of Year Five Notes in Chronological Order January I switched to four events a month to boost my popularity in New England faster (I'm based in Tri-State) May All production values are now on par with my peers. I decided to pick up Bradford Peverell. June Star Master and Running Wolf sign with TCW. Running Wolf, despite being a main eventer, is no big deal. Star Master being gone hurts. I fed them to Fro Sure and Raphael before they left. To replace them I picked up Harry Wilson (originally a main eventer, now a midcarder) and Viktor Beskov (a main eventer since being picked up). September At 49, Joel Bryant is finally showing some real decline. His stamina is at 40, he can't last and it's hurting his matches. I've teamed him with Seth Whitehead to boost Seth and drop Joel. I've also picked up Duberry Excess and Heroe to pick up for Joel's slack. November Joel Bryant has now dropped to a midcarder. December Marv Statler broke his arm. My UC had his first A* match. It was against Dean Waldorf (he also has an A match against Dean, and an A against Star Master). Awards Most Improved Company (Year 1, Year 4) 17th Most Important Company in World, 6th in USA (up from 22nd and 9th, respectively) 11th Most Influential Company in World, 4th in USA (up from 13th and still 4th) Viktor Beskov on Most Popular List (but not in USA) 23 (up from 13!) "Internet Sensation" One of your wrestlers (random roll from the list) has become an internet video hit due to a pirate recording of his last match. +2 pop for your company in every area that you already have popularity in and +10 pop for the wrestler in all areas. I rolled 13 = Harry Wilson. Ugh. He's a midcarder who is #2 on the decline list. What a pain in the ass to edit.

Pogo92
Stamina definitely increases at a moderate pace, but it's still not as fast as basics or safety are for green workers. Just make sure he gets a lot of ring time and even give him two matches a night using the post-show if his overness is high enough (To avoid over-use penalty).
K-Nection
You increase about a point a month in stamina as long as you push a workers limits (getting tired). There is no added benefit of making them exhausted besides causing injuries (if for some reason you think thats a good thing). Just book a worker smart and increase their match times when you stop seeing them get tired. If they are getting blown up on 10 minute matches don't put them in anything longer until you see them no longer getting tired on those.
