The Road to Glory Challenge

Recommended Posts

<p>2018 is in the books folks! Cody Lane and GDW saw impressive growth this year, performing for as many as 55 mildly interested bar patrons! Recovering from his loss of the tag titles, Cody Lane put together a fine year, going so far as to steal the GDW Championship away from the young Seth Whitehead. Unfortunately, that means everyone's gunning for him, and he's unlikely to find backup now that tag partner Logan Wolfsbaine has been snatched up by TCW.</p><p> </p><p>

Throughout out the year, multiple wrestlers seemed to appear almost at random, offering to work for small change and beers, and their appearances led to an increase in shows.</p><p> </p><p>

In a show of apparent egotism, Lane has positioned himself as company figurehead. When confronted, it's said that he explained to roster members that they all sucked, and the one's that didn't weren't sticking around much longer anyway. The locker room was said to be upset, but agreed with him in the end. To prove the decision was wise, Lane decided to to watch Flash Gordon repeatedly, and somehow, against all odds, saw his in ring flashiness increase.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Well, my first attempt to get past May 2016 is still going. And I got past Dec 2016.</p><p> </p><p>

My promotion is still a bit low on cash, I finished the year at -$4,029 (and with a requirement that I end 2017 at $10,000 cash on hand). However, I made money in October, November and December so the flow is in the right direction.</p><p> </p><p>

I even pulled off a D+ show in December (with a fed that balances performance and popularity.)</p><p> </p><p>

For my UC, I rolled 22, which raised my chain wrestling to 38.3. </p><p> </p><p>

Now on to 2017. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Six months in (yes, I play a lot slower than everybody <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />) and going well! We're still in debt, but we're making more money every month, and should be in the black well before the deadline. I've been in and out of the main event, and am pleased with my growth in everything but maybe the top row. We're coming up on Small, I think, and my current plan is to just barrel on through and see how it goes.

Small requires that you have F+ influence in 1 region. F+ starts at 11.5 I believe, so in a region with 100% importance you'd need 23 shows if your pop goes up 0.5% per show. Of course, you can go up faster if the wresting industry is very good.</p><p> </p><p> **edit** nevermind. I just saw your earlier posts about doing multiple shows a month on an earlier patch. You probably are close to small then.</p>

<p>Up to September with GT Lightning and Paradise Pro Wrestling based out of Hawaii.</p><p> </p><p>

Molokai Milk, the company owner has been the MVP of the company. He isnt taking any pay until the company is better off financially. He became the Heavyweight Champion at the inaugural Greetings From Paradise monthly event and held it until May before dropping it to Austin Smooth in May. </p><p> </p><p>

Put on some decent rated matches with my user character and Smooth despite having bad chemistry with Austin.</p><p> </p><p>

I don't have pictures of my current run since I started this mostly to learn about all the changes that have occurred to the game engine since TEW 2010 (I own 2013, but never played it much.)

My game just reached Jan 2018

End of 2016 - roll of 22, +5 to chain wrestling

End of 2017 - roll of 25, +5 to flash

My UC is currently being pushed as an upper midcard face. The main event is full, but he's gaining momentum and might be able to break into the main event in the future.

The promotion is doing very well considering I made a mistake and used the Great Lakes as my home area, (no competition, but low importance so at 12.3% popularity I'm still stuck as a local sized promotion.) I am now running 10 wrestlers, 1 manager, 1 referee and my owner as announcer (and costing me more than any 2 other workers) and still making $1,600 or so a month.

I do have Logan Wolvebaine on the roster, as well as Xavi. For some reason both were let go from the promotions they worked for.

2018 will be interesting and fun. I'm actually considering going to 3 shows every 2 months to try to push my popularity up and get to small by July. (my "bad" shows are often still D- grades, and I've even pulled 1 D+ rating out of somewhere.)

<p>2019 was huge for GDW and Cody Lane! The addition of a true road agent in Roz Laren saw heralded strides in both ring work and earnings. With Lane at the helm, GDW finally made the jump to a small sized promotion. </p><p> </p><p>

Multiple storylines brought in a maximum of 269 fans at one point to view the athletic contests in the South East. The tag titles were traded around a fair bit, finally landing squarely around the waists of Seth Whitehead and future legend James Diaz. </p><p> </p><p>

The World Championship was defended against all comers by Cody Lane, including Texas Hangman and Annihilus. But when he defended the belt against American Elemental II and Vic Hernandez in a triple threat bout, it was Elemental that came away holding the belt high.</p><p> </p><p>

In an effort to match the fan favorite abilities of Elemental, Lane dedicated time to viewing classic sitcoms, and saw his wholesome performance rate skyrocket.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<p>My slow and plodding march to Global continues. </p><p> </p><p>

Officially let my guy lose the AOW Toronto Championship to Rick Tufnel who had a really stand out victory over Guide (D performance which puts him on my guy's level in terms of performance. I can see him dropping the title back to me down the line but for now he's got the flagship spot on the roster). This also represents my guys first loss since in professional wrestling. Held it for exactly a year.</p><p> </p><p>

I passed UCW in terms of Importance though not Influence. I can see us hitting Small by the end of next year. I also brought in Buck Graham to get us to an even roster force, when Hector Davoren returns, there's a possibility I get rid of someone and/or start looking to raise the quality of my roster instead of going for the cheapest signings. I'd be more interested in NOTBPW or CGC poaching my guys though. </p><p> </p><p>

AAA dies to kill womens wrestling as well. </p><p> </p><p>

Shane Sneer's SCCW opens.</p><p> </p><p>

Dread goes to SWF <3 hopefully to fight Bruce The Giant.</p><p> </p><p>

Johnny Martin wins his 6th Extreme Title. I hope he hits 20 by the time DAVE or he retires. </p><p> </p><p>

HGC stole Dan Stone Jr. and Steve DeColt to deal deadly blows to the Canadian scene. Vengeance got stolen too from DAVE. They also brought in Frankie Future.</p><p> </p><p>

NYCW up to Regional. </p><p> </p><p>

Haruki Kudo, aka Hooded Kudo who was the biggest name in BHOTWG and has a million A matches to go with it, had a learning difficulties scandal. I'm not sure it's something that would have actually had an effect back in 1998 to be honest. Poor guy won a best overall worker online poll that same day. BHOTWG lose him as booker in the process of the firing and figurehead. Yoshifusa Maeda finally signs with BHOTWG to take the book and fulfill a few dream matches. </p><p> </p><p>

SOTBPW opened. Hope they make gains on OLLIE and MPWF.</p><p> </p><p>

33 workers debuted in August 1998. </p><p> </p><p>

So I've re-organized my plan. The original plan was to wait till I could do a weekly show + PPV then get better workers. The new plan is to wait till I can do a weekly show + big show, then when I have enough to do two weekly shows, I will expand to having one show for men and one show for women with PPVs combined, and keep waiting till I make enough money to have three shows a week, one for Juniors, one for Heavyweights, one for Women. Big show will be a combo of all three. A lot of companies are dying so I want to give more wrestlers a spot. The only issue I can find is as to if I will be able to win the regional wars that might come, and if my guys will improve at a good enough rate to keep us growing. Right now, the best we can hit is still E+ show wise. </p><p> </p><p>

...</p><p> </p><p>

Just realized I took the title off Rick Tufnel and gave it to one of my midcarders by accident last show -_-</p><p> </p><p>

Ring of Fire opened. Hope it doesn't die a quick death.</p><p> </p><p>

Grew to Small <3 </p><p> </p><p>

I decided to start my brand split now. Each show will rotate between men and women. When the frequency of shows is high enough, I will start my third brand.</p><p> </p><p>

CGC got bought out by SWF <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> They were cult and looking really good. They took a bunch of Canadian TV contracts, they're coming for that Canadian market now. </p><p> </p><p>

The signed females are:</p><p> </p><p>

Cherry Bomb (dating Rick Tufnel) 220$</p><p>

Helen Hearth 180$</p><p>

Ikuko Temko 180$</p><p>

Jessie Alexnader 180$</p><p>

Rebecca Pretty 160$</p><p>

Saori Nakadan 180$</p><p>

Stormette 140$</p><p>

Tara Pendergast 90$</p><p>

Viv Jacobs 140$</p><p>

Yoki Ikina 160$</p><p>

Yori Toyoshima 170$</p><p>

Yuku Okui 150$</p><p> </p><p>

I anticipate the womens brand to outdo my mens brand. </p><p> </p><p>

Joe Gilbert who has been responsible for tons of bad incidents finally called it quits, tired with my shitty diplomatic skills, leaving his superior brother Jessie to stick around and Eric Stardust to get a contract extension beyond the one month I had him replacing an injured wrestler for. Only unfortunate because I was building Jessie/Joe for maxed out tag team experience. </p><p> </p><p>

Duane Stone, Johnny Martin, Elijah Black all head off to HGC for their new CBA Masters of War show as they rise to National size for our first national war. Shawn Gonzales and Land Mass also join up. </p><p> </p><p>

Viv Jacobs is leaving us, she isn't happy and wants to focus on two other companies. She left GWNC for similar reasons so I'm not too bothered, gets rid of a negative influence as well. Brought in former stripper Amy Galaxy to take her role in the Heidi Brooks Grand Prix. </p><p> </p><p>

Well end of the year came along. We slowed down and I'm reconsidering my plans going forward - End of the Year Roll time...</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="364a5fb882059c782ceb086b0023eac9.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/364a5fb882059c782ceb086b0023eac9.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

43. "Internet Sensation" One of your wrestlers (random roll from the list) has become an internet video hit due to a pirate recording of his last match. +2 pop for your company in every area that you already have popularity in and +10 pop for the wrestler in all areas.</p><p> </p><p>

Rolled 20 out of 24. Thomas Cloutier gets the boost. </p><p> </p><p>

Plus side, jumps my sponsorship from 4K to 10K which is a great boost. Downside, I expect a Thomas Cloutier wage demand which I'll regret for him to high tail it out of the company. </p><p> </p><p>

Sam Keith wins WOTY, Rory and Sam Keith win TTOTY, McFly repeats as YWOTY, Rip Chord gets the VOTY Hattrick, Reese Paige wins WWOTY (I think once my division gets going, I should start bringing that award home consistently), Jeremy Stone gets Independent Wrestler of the Year somehow, PGHW repeats as COTY, AOW wins Most Improve Company of the Year <3, Rory and Sam vs. Bruce & Mr. Supreme in a draw getting a A* is MOTY, BHOTWG's Art of War gets Card OTY, Babette repeats as MOTY, London announcer, Nero color, Miyagi ref.</p><p> </p><p>

HGC celebrates the new year by dropping back to cult. </p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="3dc9bcd14c2fa4fa924d25ddcf13bc88.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/3dc9bcd14c2fa4fa924d25ddcf13bc88.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

All our top events are from this year.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="b4f596d6a53ab5a46c447593abd06288.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/b4f596d6a53ab5a46c447593abd06288.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Same for top matches. </p><p> </p><p>

My guy at the start of this game...</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="45823c4299dec975f45c94ce53c210ab.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/45823c4299dec975f45c94ce53c210ab.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Start of the year '98...</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="d117fde630c5cf85d70c286849b4c014.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/d117fde630c5cf85d70c286849b4c014.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

And now...</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="a3dd1165f1aae4d704e8c1b4dfcff939.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/a3dd1165f1aae4d704e8c1b4dfcff939.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

So. Plan going forward. I could always cut my womens division, and just start getting better guys for my men's but I won't. I will do my best to keep the roster at 12 for each division and then keep holding shows till I can reach 2 a week. The only barrier to this plan would be if my guys don't grow enough to produce better shows. Currently I've got the women touring Quebec and the men touring Ontario.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Well I just finished my first year in the business in 2016 and I have a mixed bag of sucsess to report. My User character which happens to be named after me is progressing nicely and is able to carry the company if need be. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i722.photobucket.com/albums/ww224/kevincumpton/Road%20To%20Glory/RTG%202016_zps4wljh6eh.png</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I was curious on how my matches would turn out if I just stacked in one top row skill and let the others fall by the wayside but I am having the second best matches on the card next to Joffy Laine. This is my progress at the start of 2017.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i722.photobucket.com/albums/ww224/kevincumpton/Road%20To%20Glory/RTG%202017_zpsrdylvsm1.png</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

As far as finances go I went through some brutal patches when the game first came out so I was never in a position to succeed. In the middle of November I just went on a hiring frenzy held a 3 brand split and am now running 4 shows a week with a big monthly blowoff event. I figure I will just try to race as fast as I can to Regional before I close and hopefully come out profitable by the 18 month grace period.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I'm clearly going to be regional by the end of January and hopefully with my fingers crossed I could bring in some gates that will swing my finances in the other direction.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

If I started this game on the current patch I would most likely be in the green by the time I reach Small with the product I have</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

But ending the year on a good note my hard work didn't go unnoticed by the wrestling world</p><p> </p><p>

End of the year roll was 12 +20 to Religious Lifestyle....ugh</p>

Well, 2018 is in for my first RTG game. (non-dynasty, partly to test out how the game engine changed.)

My promotion rose to small early in 2018, but then the economy in the US dropped down to E and my sponsor money was far below the expectations. As in I would see in the finances that the expected sponsor money was about $7,200 and the actual was just $4,466. My promotion ended up losing money in June, September and November (never more than $205 in one month.) so I never raised my production values as much as I wanted. I also had to let a couple of wrestlers go as they proved to be locker room problems immediately after I hired them as I had to get to 16 active wrestlers.

Did add a tag title although it has barely C prestige.

As for shows, my best shows in 2018 were D+ and all 3 were before I rose to small. The penalty for the poor production values hurt my show ratings just a little.

My user character does continue to improve. He has moved to the upper midcard and got to win more than he lost in 2018. Top show rating was a D+ though. He's at E popularity in my home region.

Improvements have been

Rumble skills total of 26 points

Technical - 17 point

Flying - 22 points

safety - 17 points

Psych = 17 points

safety - +21 points

Consistency - +19 points

Selling - +12 points

stamina - +15 points

microphone - +15 points

charisma - +15 points

Acting - +18 points

Roll for 2018 was 50 - so I had to create a sibling. I figured on a 1 it would be a girl 2-3 a guy (used the random roll site.), rolled a 1 so I created Tricia Randall.

My company did win Most Improved company for 2018. (we won something!)

No wrestlers in the power 500. (darn.)

Now to see if I can continue the slow march towards regional. I have managed to continue to grow my popularity in my home region at 0.5% per months. I'd try to make it faster, but the lousy economy has prevented me from feeling save running 2 shows in a month. Especially as GSW, CWWF and a couple other companies (PWMAX if I remember correctly) all went under in 2018

Just finished 2017 which was a great year for POW. We're growing. Steadily. Gidayou Kitou is the definite star of my promotion having had several wars that rated typically between 75-82 with the odd exception here or there, including an 84 in a singles match with my avatar. </p><p> </p><p>

I've created 3 huge stars for my company. My avatar with pop in the 70s, laura flame with the same, and Gidayou with 91-92 pop depending on when the show is. I know I'll lose gidayou soon... he's going on tours with pghw and working czcw now... I'm actually proud I got him to this level.</p><p> </p><p>

I ended the year with a HUGE main event, wanting to reward Gidayou I brought in Kurt Laramee for a one-night only sort of deal and drew the biggest gate my company has had to date, 1700 fans. I'm making mad money right now. I'm at $204,507, a QUARTER of that earned just last month. </p><p> </p><p>

In the new year I want to establish new characters for my roster as a lot of guys have been neglected over the last year in favor of being "jobbers for top faces" or "jobbers for top heels" so I want to try to build better acts as well as signing new acts... as I'm sort of a darker ZEN with better wrestling I'm hoping to really get into some new characters... and the new directions I'll be taking my roster. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Anyways... for my roll I got a 17.</p><p> </p><p>

17. “Nose To The Grindstone” You have devoted your holiday season to training in the ring +5 any top row skill of your choice</p><p> </p><p>

I'd have rather got an 18 or 25 as the decision would be easier but I think I'm gonna go ahead and pick Flashiness for the +5</p>

<p>2020 saw GDW grow by leaps and bounds in the South East. Though they're likely a year away from regional, they do regularly sell out the legendary Rainbow Bar & Grill. Now that they're solidly making money each month, a few big signings lent a more complete look to the overall roster. Road agent Steve Flash, color man Doc Messing, and brawlers Nick Booth and Bradley Blaze coupled with increased production values across the board means that the little bar room show that could is starting to become a real promotion, so much so that they've entered into the top 30 promotions in the world, peaking at #28. </p><p> </p><p>

The wrestling throughout the year was solid, backed by stellar road agent from Flash. Standout Seth Whitehead was stolen away by GWS on an exclusive contract, and his partner James Diaz went on to have several great one on one contests. Nick Booth came in like a bat out of hell teaming with Bradley Blaze, and the pair, along with Cody Lane, all qualified for a title shot by year's end. In a raucousfour-way match, Nick Booth came out on top, holding the gold high for everyone to see. </p><p> </p><p>

Desperate to earn his title back after a year with a bare waist, Lane buckled down and spent all Christmas morning watching old tape in an attempt to improve his psychology.</p><p> </p><p>

(On a side note, I'm getting extremely lucky with these rolls. Usually I get saddled with rolls that get me on steroids or improve my brute gimmick rating for a cruiserweight <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)</p><p> </p><p>

Well, I tried my first RTG for 2016 with the C-Verse. it didn't last too long. I ran Backyard Championship Wrestling into bankruptcy after 19 months. I never went farther in debt than $7,000, but after my first show I was never in the black again. The US economy started around 28 and falling and went all the way down to zero before picking back up. Even only running shows every 3 months didn't net me enough money to climb out of the hole.

Now I'm unemployed with no local feds to sign on to, so it looks like it's time to start over. This time, I learned that even guys getting paid $700 per show is way too much. I'll sign the cheapest guys I can, maybe only run two or three shows the first year, and pray I get a much better starting economy.

What I did in my current save was hire 7 workers at no more than $300 per show, and some for less, cheapo ref, two shows a month for the first six months, then one a month thereafter, and got out of the red in about 14 months. Doubling up on the shows early was important, because you can build some good pop out of the gate without getting too far into debt, and the sponsorship rise you get will eventually save you :)

I just got my roster set. 7 guys plus my UC. Only one makes more than 300 per show (Desert Storm @ $380). Marvin Earnest has taken over as CEO and is working for free until my finances are better. I know I don't need an announcer, but now I got one for free.</p><p> </p><p> Edit: Quick update on my first month: My roster sucks. I knew this coming in, but none of them outside of my user character seems to be able to handle a 15 minute match without being blown up. I tagged Seth Whitehead to be the first holder of the Big Man on the Block title and set up a tourny. </p><p> </p><p> My first show, Desert Storm botches a move and Seth gets a sprained ankle in the first round. Luckily the injury only has him out for 6 days and I only ran my first round matches that night. The next show had the semi-finals and finals. In my tournament finals, Cobra botches a move and again Seth has a sprained ankle. This time I get a road agent note (from Desert Storm, of course) that Cobra now has heat with the locker room because of his botch. Nevermind that there was no heat on Desert Storm for doing the exact same thing to the same person a week ago. </p><p> </p><p> Now Cobra is annoyed and he and Seth have simmering tension. Apparently Desert Storm gave zero ****s that he botched a move, and Seth just laughed it off with him because there is no negative relationship. My locker room morale is now sitting @ 67% and I have no locker room leaders. Looks like I'm in for some fun times.</p><p> </p><p> Edit II: February is in the books and this roller coaster is getting fun. My first show of the month saw Desert Storm pick a fight with Anders Thunder. When I gave Desert Storm a stern warning, I was told his personality got worse because of my actions. Later that night, Martyr botched a move and broke Anders Thunder's fingers. The next show kicked off with Desert Storm picking a fight with my ref Gregory Chapman. This time I fined Desert Storm. This pissed him off and I was again told that his personality got worse due to my actions. Just to piss him off more, I jobbed him to my UC. Gregory Chapman is also now Angry with me, saying my punishment was soft. On the plus side, Martyr's personality got better after being brought to wrestler's court for making a mess backstage and not cleaning it up. Another positive: my first show with no botched moves leading to injury. </p><p> </p><p> My locker room is now @ 57%. I hired Felipe Caballero to replace the soon to be fired Desert Storm. Felipe asked for $30 less per show than Desert Storm, so it's a win-win in my book. I'm going to keep Desert Storm on the roster just so he can hopefully pick another fight at my next show and I can maybe get a positive out of publically fireing him.</p>

That should cut down on most of your injuries. Don't worry about match ratings because at 0 popularity as long as your wrestlers just show up you will gain popularity. You never have to worry about doing anything of any quality until you are around 15 pop.</p>

<p>Thomas Cloutier who got my 10 pop boost walked out on the company being extremely unhappy. I'm still recovering from my backstage once being at 26% and my diplomacy attribute being 0 doesn't help at all. Sad to see Cloutier go, and I'll probably replace him with someone who'll cut my costs. Brought in 80$ Backyard Billy to the roster. </p><p> </p><p>

BHOTWG after dropping down to cult, making tons of signings have removed Kaneie Komine as their CEO and are looking elsewhere now. </p><p> </p><p>

UCW - that cult hardcore canadian company by Madman Boone fell down to local - poor lads. </p><p> </p><p>

We're able to host about 4 shows a month (two Red Falcon Grand Prix and Heidi Brooks Grand Prix that is) at this point which is good, obviously the goal is to host 8 shows a month so we can start upgrading the roster quality. Right now though the D economy and F wrestling industry is slowing my growth but we're still 19 out of 21 in importance and 17 out of 21 in influence as of March 1999. </p><p> </p><p>

Decided to host a 50th Show Special on Monday March week 1 1999. Brought in our record breaking signing John Maverick for a special attraction one night only match against Rick Tufnel, he costs me 760$. Also had Jessie Alexander vs. Golden Delicious and Dan Biliot vs. Teddy Powell, two of our best matches ever on the show next to our best match, Jon Snow vs. Guide where Jon Snow would win this time and take the AOW Toronto title home. On top of that, had a 3 on 3 mens match, a 5 on 5 womens match. I left the Maverick/Tufnel match empty since Maverick was unhappy with draw/loss but Rick had more local (Ontario) pop, fortunately AI gave Rick the win. Aside from my D+ my top performers of the show was womens Ace, Jessie Alexander and Guide/Rick Tufnel all with D's. Show fittingly got a D.</p><p> </p><p>

This show meant it would be a while until we had enough money to have another show which I don't totally mind. </p><p> </p><p>

Accidentally added Rick Tufnel (2x AOW Toronto 1X Red Falcon Grand Prix) and myself (2X AOW Toronto 1X Red Falcon Grand Prix) to the hall of fame, but we'll roll with it. </p><p> </p><p>

The guy to take over BHOTWG is none otehr than Yoshizawa - Maeda (the booker before CEO impeach)'s best friend. Wonder if he'll re-elect Maeda as booker. </p><p> </p><p>

Jonathan Taylor, my referee who now has 57 refereeing, demanded a pay raise (180 to 430), I rejected and he's furious. Expecting imminent departure, I'll just go pick up cheaper Gregory Chapman and train him to be decent tbh. Until I'm able to reach my 2 shows a week quota, no one's getting a pay raise. </p><p> </p><p>

I think my guy has capped in basics at 84, real unfortunate. Again, if I could restart, I'd probably change up some of my guys stats so that psychology and consistency are at 75. </p><p> </p><p>

As I keep booking, my vision for the company expands. As a Global-sized company with a ridiculous network, I'd like AOW to emulate professional sports. We'll have 3 brands (Junior/HW/Women), 47 weeks worth of shows in a league format, and then a 4 week tournament in December. What I've made sure to do so far is to give the best performers of the previous show the win. Cream rises to the top, not star quality or popularity. It might make it hard in National Battles of course but oh well. That would mean having an insanely huge roster of 144 dudes - call me BHOTWG. Lol. I don't even know if a card of 24 matches is feasible. I fit in 6 in 1 1/2 and the max is 4 so will be using lots of pre/post shows. Only issue with this strategy is if my guy peaks out early and stops learning, he might not get that main event chance lol. </p><p> </p><p>

Basically you'd have 3 brands. A title that's defended weekly (it'll be interesting if we ever reach that point of one dominating guy who never loses the belt ever) and a trophy that's one at the end of the year. We might have occasional tag team or j vs. hv specials down the line though. Really looking forward to reaching that end goal. </p><p> </p><p>

SWF keeps its Canadian expansion going with a bunch of individual TV deals. Oh... they also bought out NOTBPW. We are now 4 small companies in Canada: 4C, GWNC (the Alex DeColt company), and UCW. UCW actually got back to Small but GWNC are 45K in debt and pretty much destined to die so that number is about to shorten to 3 real soon. </p><p> </p><p>

Stormette, one of the worst personalities backstage has handed in her notice. Not surprising and I had no intention of retaining her past the first Heidi Brooks Grand Prix, talking about the Heidi Brooks Grand Prix (first ever), here were the rankings...</p><p> </p><p>

1. Jessie Alexander with 11 wins (finalist & victor)</p><p>

2. Cherry Bomb with 11 wins (finalist)</p><p>

3. Rebecca Petty with 9 wins (lost a last night match vs. Cherry to tie)</p><p>

4. Yoko with 7 wins</p><p>

5. Saori with 7 wins</p><p>

6. Helen with 7 wins</p><p>

7. Ikuko with 6 wins</p><p>

8. Yori with 5 wins</p><p>

9. Golden with 5 wins</p><p>

10. Tara with 3 wins</p><p>

11. Stormette with 2 wins</p><p>

12. Yuko with 1 win</p><p>

13. Amy with 0 (replaced Viv Jacobs)</p><p> </p><p>

Stormette won't be replaced, we'll go down to 12 for the second Heidi Brooks Grand Prix.</p><p> </p><p>

High Impact Wrestling opens in Britain. </p><p> </p><p>

GWNC just closed. Down to three Canadian companies, all small. </p><p> </p><p>

Just hosted the Heidi Brooks Grand Prix which was a 8 women single-elimination tournament held in one night with the seeds based off top 8 of the Grand Prix. We had our best show filled with D- to D+ matches (particularly our main event Cherry vs. Jessie and Jessie vs. Yoko) and the show was graded with our very best D+. Immensely proud of the ladies and Jessie Alexander. She did get injured on the night so she's out for 20 days though, good on her for doing 3 matches, 1 steal the show, and getting the injury in the first match yet pulling through.</p><p> </p><p>

CZCW are the latest to join the SWF mantel. </p><p> </p><p>

Signed Mary-Beth Chase as a sub worker for 130$. She'll take the place of anyone who has injuries. </p><p> </p><p>

Noritoshi Kinashita for 80$ is my men's sub-in. </p><p> </p><p>

NEW fell to Small but being owned by SWF, I'm not too worried about them. </p><p> </p><p>

Steve DeColt, Duane Stone, Dan Stone Jr. all headed off to HGC. Jack/Alex DeColt still unemployed. Jeremy Stone went ahead to Hinote Dojo where he's currently touring. I await the day they all work for me. </p><p> </p><p>

Industry/Economy now at F/E+</p><p> </p><p>

Finished the 3rd ever Red Falcon Grand Prix so next event is the one night tournament to crown the winner.</p><p> </p><p>

1. Guide with 10 wins</p><p>

-2. Jon Snow with 9 wins</p><p>

-2. Rick Tufnel with 9 wins</p><p>

4. Courenay Morin with 8 wins</p><p>

5. Washichi with 7 wins</p><p>

-6. Jesse Gilbert with 6 wins</p><p>

-6. Dan Billiot with 6 wins.</p><p>

8. Teddy Powell with 5 wins</p><p>

9. Yoriie Ipputsusai with 2 wins</p><p>

10. Eric Stardust with 2 wins</p><p>

11. Buck Graham with 1 win</p><p>

12. Backyard Billy with 1 win</p><p> </p><p>

Top 8 makes the tournament. The tournament did well enough, getting us a D+ with Jon Snow bringing home his second Red Falcon Grand Prix and making his 7th/8th/9th title defences. </p><p> </p><p>

Just rejected another Jonathan Taylor pay rise request, wonder when he'll leave... and he handed in his notice. Time to go get Gregory Chapman for 120$ and teach him how to ref. </p><p> </p><p>

World of Joshi Pro Wrestling opened to give ladies somewhere to wrestle other than AOW. Felt bad for Sensation Ogiwara but if WJPW can survive and not get bought out, they can really take advantage of the women's scene. </p><p> </p><p>

Red Falcon made us join the Hardcore Alliance with DAVE, 4C, and MOSC. We are heavily Daredevil thanks to him which is how we qualified. </p><p> </p><p>

Oh yeah, I did run another womens Grand Prix for the second half of the year, here's how the standing shaped up...</p><p> </p><p>

1. Jessie with 10 wins (sub-in lost 1)</p><p>

2. Rebecca with 9 wins</p><p>

3. Yoko with 9 wins</p><p>

-4. Ikuko with 7 wins</p><p>

-4. Cherry with 7 wins (sub-in lost 3, she was out for 2 months)</p><p>

-6. Helen with 6 wins</p><p>

-6. Golden with 6 wins</p><p>

8. Saori with 5 wins</p><p>

9. Tara with 4 wins</p><p>

11. Amy with 1 win</p><p>

12. Yuko with 0 wins</p><p> </p><p>

I think it's a lot more balanced this time around with Saori nearly missing out after a weak performance. Jessie retained her belt in her three defenses and beat Saori, Cherry and Rebecca on the way to the Yumi Yoshikuni Grand Prix. She's our best performer men or women, and our star wrestler if not for her lack of SQ. </p><p> </p><p>

End of the year time...</p><p> </p><p>

Christian Faith wins WOTY, Christian Faith and Sam Keith win TTOTY, Mushashibo wins YWOTY (He also has an insane ego and is Glory Crown champ), Hito Ichihara wins VOTY, April Appleseed wins WOTY, Teddy Flame for IOTY, PGHW is 3x COTY, UCW wins MICOTY, Sam and Christian vs. Bruce and Supreme wins MOTY, PGHW's Night of Glory is Card OTY.</p><p> </p><p>

We're making a profit on Ontario shows now which is good. We still need about 60 shows MINIMUM to reach regional there (1 to 3 years) and just a few more womens show in Quebec to reach Small there. Upside with Quebec is when I reach Regional there, I'll be able to get a TV deal. Ontario will be a while more though. I think we're getting close to my goal of 2 shows a week, really just a matter of womens building up their Quebec pop so that we're selling out a 300 seat arena there too. I might even test out doing 2 months worth of 2 shows a week to see if we'll go in the red or if we can make a profit quick enough.</p>

I just got my roster set. 7 guys plus my UC. Only one makes more than 300 per show (Desert Storm @ $380). Marvin Earnest has taken over as CEO and is working for free until my finances are better. I know I don't need an announcer, but now I got one for free.<p> </p><p> Edit: Quick update on my first month: My roster sucks. I'm going to keep Desert Storm on the roster just so he can hopefully pick another fight at my next show and I can maybe get a positive out of publically fireing him.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> If it's any comfort, my backstage was at @26%, got as high as 93% then dipped back to 60s.</p>
