Third Year Recap:

2003 was fantastic for SHIMMER wrestling. Despite having to scale back shows until June to once a month. We've been able to work 4 shows a month and turn a decent profit now. With Smart Mark Video giving us a PPV, albeit tiny coverage, it has helped a lot but growth is a little slow. We attract around 1k fans now. Which is just great. Over 100k in the bank. 2004 is poised to be a banner year.

Hailey has run with the title since December of 2002. She's the best performer on the rosters. Has the most star quality, charisma, and all that good stuff. She makes a good figurehead and that's how she will be pushed. Alpha Female won the new Heart of SHIMMER title but lost it to Lacey on the last show of 2003. While the team of Rebecca Knox and Nikki Roxx took the tag team straps from the three-time champs Minnesota Homewrecking Crew. Wesna Busic won the Chickfight tournament in July lending it much needed legitimacy.

We got the Most Improved Company of the year. Woot to that.

For the end of the year he got a mentor and it went to Ricky Turner.

Some fun facts for the first year of TRW

Most title wins: Tie between Whisky Jack (5 World titles) and Quntien Queen (4 World titles and one midcard) Surprisingly with my no picking winners and title matches every show there has not been a triple crown. most are missing the tag titles but Smooth is missing the Crown title and Trevors is missing the World title. I'm curious to see who will get the first claim. It'll probably be one of the Smooth Players as a lot of the other guys dont have a set team their are in so its unlikely I'll book them.

What's crazy is the matches he won them in. he's always been a lower midcard and he has beat Queen for the title (the man tied for most decorations) He's basically the Matt Hardy of my promotion dude may be

Best Worker: Austin freaking Smooth, this due has 9 of the 10 best matches in our history. He has the top match (A D while the next best is -D) a Two time World Champ, and the longest reining champ.

he is about to tie that record again with the tag titles.

Simply put he's the man whose building my promotion.

Tag Titles, I started the tag division later then the rest, Smooth Players keeping wining. They are one match away from tie the record held by Smooth with the TRW title.

So doing a RTG story. Forget to get my characters initial stats. So that is whatever but just got through year 1.

I got to do my first roll, which is something I am so excited for. I got 22. "A Link to the Past" +5 to chain wrestling which is nice.

Located in Australia my current roster is..

Annihilus, Bryant Hall, Lucas Pobb, Moonchild, Sexxxy SJB, and Wels Farmer. The key members to the roster.

White Devil - Not sure how or why he ended up as Owner, but I had a RtG game Company with him on the Roster. So I just made him owner. He has been servicable in propping up the two guys I am building. Plus working for free is nice. If I could have changed it a Ref or Road Agent would have been better.

Lother Prellinger - He was cheap and one of my favourite characters. So happy to see him bought in and be on the NBT list. He was the inaugural champion with 5 solid defences. Has been involved in 7 of the Top 10 matches for the last year. I am hoping I don't lose him.

Shawny Shawn Shaw (User Character) - A standout on the roster and being pushed as such. Recently captured the Main title and was involved in 5 of the Top 10 matches for the last year. Currently the most popular guy on the roster.

So I am running 1 show a month, currently $5k in the red and the last two months I have made a profit $100 in November and almost $400 in December. My question is, do I need to be more concerned about getting back in the positive cash margin, or can I look at picking up a Road Agent right away. Ideally I want a road agent, a better referee, and another low card face for the roster.

Made it to Jun of the second year before I had my finances sorted. Disappointed as I knew it was coming up, but thought I had more time. (I was gaining $600-$700) but I really wanted a Road Agent and decided to pay $1000 a month. If I hadn't done that for the last 3 months I would have made up the cash and been fine financially. Rookie error but I thought I could get there.

Running 1 show a month worked out nicely for me. I guess my big question is. Is it worth going a little heavier on my roster with not the worst or the worst but guys still around that $400 mark. Also what is the rule for owners, when I start again.

I uh...got that last one. We're at I think ~13 pop, and I need to be 14 with Importance as it is right now. I hired Cherry Bomb (with CC) and I won, but she was kept strong. No point to the matches EXCEPT that they were highly rated. Hired a rando with C popularity. He's got D popularity in Mid West, walked out on the company, and I did nothing. Gloria walked after a hardline talk due to no pay raise.

We're pulling in $3k with Cherry Bomb ($1500) on the roster, along with Dustin Deuce (I think he was 16 and has kewl hair; he's a stoner like my UC and thus "Diamond Deuce") and Jose/Marcos Caballero (I'll be adding Felippe soon!). Marcos got a bruised orbital bone in a match, but no biggy.

I'm still at exactly 45 popularity in West Central Mexico.

Thoughts:

My brawling, while not "Excellent", is hilariously-high. I'd like to hit 80, but I don't need to improve anymore here.

My Basics is almost certain to hit 90 (woo!) and my psychology, while slowing, is finally at the level where I think I can call any match aside from against Jack Bruce. I still want it to hit 91 where I can't get a psychology penalty. The others are fine, though I'd like to be Lobby-levels of consistent (he has 100. And is Chris Morisette.)

Physical is...fine? Keep going up, Stamina! Ra ra be tuff ya!

My Charisma and Star Quality are very scary. 81 charisma is a really low cap given all my advantages and starting at 75. 78 star quality is just horrible, period, however I started the year at 76. I might have been 74 at the very start, though...eh, nevermind. I'm still screwed and super-angry about that. Maybe I gain weight and get gud, but...

I decided to take this challenge a couple of days ago and started a touring company in Japan in the CV97 mod. I've been taking notes and actually have quite a bit to sift through from my first year.

Obviously this is favourable towards sponsorship and with the touring schedule I was hoping to get my popularity and money flow up fairly quickly.

When I started my game I ended up getting Hayate Hasegawa (46 wrestler in Time Decline, but decent stats) as my owner, and he was very nice to me.

Goals

Critical - NPW Must have at least as much pop in Japan as start (2 y, 8m)

Average - No hiring people with law problems (2 Years, 8 months)

As of the start of the game I had a "Heavyweight" and tag team title, as well as a couple of tournaments set up. I put the Heavyweight title on Hasegawa on my first show and decided he would eventually put over king after about a year and with King on a nice long winning streak.

I fairly consistantly did shows every 3 days on my touring months, 1 hours each, mostly with 4 workers on them (one of them being King or Hasegawa because they're free).

First tour was my Rising Tiger Tour, and I ended up dropping and signing people on and off, picking up Tayler Morton (aka Acid, who is currently a rookie). He ended up being put into a tag team with King called The Canadian Destroyers (for obvious reasons) and the two of them won the tag titles together at my second big show. Hasegawa got injured for like a month and then announced his retirement, which was a bit frustrating but not unexpected. I ran my first tournament which King won and involved Golden Scorpion and Black Eagle (who are both still with me). 3 shows before my first tour ended I hit small.

My month off between tours gave me 9k, so I was in the hole...but less so?

Decided to run my second tournament, the Grand Prix, to pick the number one contender (aka eventual winner) to Hasegawa's title...that was a great idea, until he retired literally 5 days and 2 shows into my tour. He went into the hall of fame because why not? He was my first champion. Good news, I have a road agent now and don't have to keep making King the road agent (though King was better but whatever).

Tom Gilmore wins the Grand Prix and he and King have a match for the vacant title, which King wins of course. Yay new champ. Good match too. This sets up the Firespitter Tag Team Tournament (tribute to Hasegawa's former tag team) and leads to me making the mistake of hiring Hasegawa's wife, who breaks one of my goals and ends up just being angry all the time.

The British Invasion (British Samurai and UK Dragon) win the tournament, they're nothing special as far as chemistry, but do happen to both be good workers. Main Eventers didn't like it and I had to kind of ignore them until the end of the tour.

Made 8k on my month off! PGHW poaches British Samurai, which sucks because he was consistently fantastic. I picked Dan Chow-Mein from Hinoto Dojo because I like his face and name and that he's Chinese. He's actually pretty good too, which is fortunate. Golden Scorpion is turning into a beast for me, same with Washichi Inao. Them and Morton are almost as good as King as far as performances.

Beginning of my third tour (the Heritage Tour) I tour GCG and notice they are the 23rd richest company out of 23...which is insane. 5SSW got bought out by BHOTWG as well, which was shocking to me. I love them. I nab Kit Hatoyama from that, she's great. Since I'm now making money instead of losing it I also nabbed Black Cobra (or Duane Stone outside of Japan). He's opposed to moving to Middleweight, but oh well. I'd have liked to have picked up Black Angel, but Stone is 1k cheaper.

This leads to one of the craziest moments for me. Canadian Destroyers defend against Black Cobra and Kit Hatoyama, and both of them outperform King for the first time since...well ever I believe.

BHOTWG buys out GCG. There are only 4 Japanese promotions left (another one closed that I can't remember the name of).

I made 16k in November and decided to bring in some muscle. Crusher, June and Ogiwara from 5SSW and Gakusha & Nagai from GCG boost my numbers, 2 good heavyweight tag teams and one of the best Junior wrestlers in Japan. King is 70-0!

We jump to regional and I bring in Jeremy Stone and Tim Westybrook, along with a few others? I expect the journey to Cult will take a while but I don't mind. Being able to sign people to written contracts would be good, especially with the amount of shows I run, but I have time (hopefully). King ends the year at 76-0

Halfway through February and we're down to 20 companies in the world, they're dropping like flies. I picked up Thunder Hike and a match that was her and Crusher Ichihara vs Sensational Ogiwara & Calvin King ended up being the highest rated match we've had so far at 79.

Close to the end of March, so far I've made 50k this month. The Wrestling Industry is at 98 or 99 and rising, which is nuts. I signed Dark Angel and my roster looks...very different from where I started off haha. Cant wait to see what kind of matches Cornellverse Sting can put on for me. I'm at 42 importance in Kinki right now, not sure what the caps for the broadcasters are, but I'm hoping I'll be able to get onto one soon!

Incoming 32 man tournament, I just signed a bunch of people. Hopefully I have enough days!

Calvin King won the tournament, I made Thunder Hike and Golden Scorpion a bit mad in the process, and Jeremy Stone in the final (but what an epic match it was!) The prestige for that tourament title went up to 100 percent for my Survivor Tournament. Next year I need King to not be in it. He currently isn't popular to put into the Junior Heavyweight title position, as the 5SSW girls are still way more over.

I made 215,943 in April. I am officially making decent money! In all honestly I have never played a game that went like this, so this is kind of exciting.

I am ready for my second tour, picking up a couple of people from the tourament (Dark EAGLE didn't want to come back because I made him lose to Golden Scorpion...) I also was able to get to a point where I was able to get on the Kinki locak broadcaster, huzzah! Economy is 55 and falling, Wrestling is 97 and falling...but 97 is still good. Hopefully I can ride it out for a bit.

Calvin King is at 103 - 0. Realistically the Goldberg push means whoever beats him will be launched...but my roster is so good right now I'm stuck in the midcard essentially. It's interesting to note I am no longer a young lion, which is the quickest I've ever seen that shed.

Made 35k on my off month, time for the Grand Prix.

Dark Angel won the Grand Prix title, giving him a shot at the Junior Heavyweight title. The prestige of the title went up to 90.

Start of July. Sensational Ogiwara is the early bet for Female Wrestler of the Year (hell yeah!) and currently the young wrestler of the year is Burning Exile...I don't know how I'm supposed to pass him...but I can probably get into some matches to do so. I made 276,064 for the month. My importance in Chubu, Chugoku and Kyushi are quickly rising, so who knows. I might have to cap at regional just so I don't get screwed when I pop up to Cult.

Apparently Burning Hammer didn't want British Samurai, so for the first time in almost a year he's coming home!

King is at 116 - 0...I'm thinking of having him face Ogiwara on the last show of the year and having him lose to her to really cement how good she is. Then I'll put the tag titles on the Stones and have King take the Jr title.

Junior Heavyweight title is at 100 prestige at the end of July. Sensational Ogiwara is insanely good.

Funny side note, apparently two people are able to be inducted in our Hall of Fame currently, Calvin King and my referee! Good job Sonoda my dude! (By end of year Crusher Ichihara was added to this list)

I end the year with 2.5 million in the bank. I understand why people think these schedules are gamey, but at the same time I'm running Puro, it's a touring schedule.

-Survivor Tournament was won by Thunder Hike vs Tommy Cornell in a decent match, keeping the Prestige at 100. Cornell might win the Heritage tournament if I end up getting to Cult first.

-Between tours Golden Scorpion's "excursion" ended so I resigned him to a 10 year deal. I'm locking in my future stars.

-Tour 2, nabbed Buddy Gardner. He's now officially the most popular person in the company, making my Junior devision even better. He's also crazy good.

-Garner wins the Grand Prix this year in a match with Tommy Cornell, bringing the prestige up to 90.

-The Junior Tag Team titles are at 96, I'm going to drop them when they hit 100.

-Year End prodictions put Thunder Hike as Female Wrestler of the year.

-Kingman got poached by PGHW

-Garner won the title off Oshigawa, Rebel Cell won off of The Canadian Destroyers, who held them for 2.5 years.

-Might have King take the midcard title off of Washichi Inao and elevate it for a while before going after Garner, who I don't see looking it for a while.

-Ogiwara wins the Grand Prix against Hypnos in an 83 rated match.

-Random note on Hall of Fame folks, Sonoda (referee), King, Ichihara, Deushi (announcer), Kagawa (announcer/Road Agent) have all qualified. I imagine Ogiwara will be on that list soon.

-Ogiwara is the half year female wrestler of the year again. Burning EXILE is young wrestler...I need to take that spot from him eventually.

-Wrestling industry is rising again after hitting 30ish. Economy is at 60. Would be nice to see them get nice and high together.

-I forked out 690,000 in show costs in June, yikes.

-Almost at the end of December, Crusher Ichihara suffers a Lower Lumbar Spinal Cord Rupture and will be out for a year and 3 months. Fantastic...

-King wins the title off Garner, who was furious and took the match down a bit.

Tour 1 Notes

-March week 3 2001 I had a new best match in company history, which involved The Darkness (Dark Angel and Black Cobra) vs The Canadian Destroyers (Tayler Morton & Calvin King). It got a 94. King's performance was a 95. It was also apparently headlining my second highest rated event ever at an 89 (Previous was Gift of the Gods in Dec 99 at 90)

-Broke 10 million, though my worker costs are about to kick in.

-Surival Tournament happens this month, I am not enturely sure who I want to win it, but I'm thinking Victoria Stone.

-King headlines a new second highest rated show at 90, his match is a 91 where the three other members were all off their game and he still managed to pull in a big rating.

-Next Show, King vs Morton gets a 92!

-Got a good broadcaster deal with medium coverage in all of Japan now. 2 years in late evening slot. I've also been killing it on every show recently besides the odd missing an auto booker slide in a matchup that's been shown too many times.

-Economy started falling at around 70, we're now at 52 wrestling industry and 56 economy, they're about to pass each other. Hopefully the economy comes back up soon.

-All of my events are rising in importance haha.

-Had stupid good luck looking at who was available in Free Agency. Mito Miwa, Eisaku Kunomasu and Yoshimi Mushashibo were all there. I forked out 80k between the 3 of them to keep them away from Burning Hammer and PGHW. Their popularity is great, they're all super skilled, and the matches they all put on in their first show were insane.

Tour 2 notes.

-Hooded Kudo will now negotiate with me...I hope this goes well.

-Brought Kudo in, hopefully the combined drawpower of the 4 stars I'm paying 150k total for launch me into national.

-Burning Hammer dropped to Cult after buying out PGHW in April. I missed that but that's crazy. Probably where the good wrestlers came from. I wish I had bought them out. I am now more prestigous than BHOTWG and number one prestige in the world as there are currently no national companies.

-Auto Booker booked an angle between Mushashibo, King & Kudo which was rated 100.

-I apparently need to fish for good tag teams in my heavyweights. I had a few contracts I had to let run out and didn't realize how much it had affected my tag teams.

-BHOTWG removed Kaneie Komine as their CEO. Holy crap. Time to keep an eye on the news to see if they're in enough trouble to let me buy them! I"ll take all of their titles.

-Hooded Kudo wins the Grand Prix against Mito Miwa, the match rating is 96 The show rating was a 93.

-"So far" awards. Nokori is company of the year! Nobody is currently at National so this makes sense, we're killing it. We also have Show of the Year and my UC is projected to be Young Wrestler of the Year, as well as Sensational Ogiwara as Female Wrestler of the Year. It could be an excellent year for awards for us.

-Hooded Kudo gave Gakusha a broken freakin neck. Fortunately that doesn't sideline people for too long. Interesting note as well, BHOTWG just fired a bunch of people. I "toured" them and they are the 30th richest company out of 30. I'm sure they'll claw their way up.

-Tour 2 is in the books and I've got a new best event rating at 95 and a 98 match between Hooded Kudo and Tommy Cornell that main evented that one. I selfishy don't want anyone to surpass that until King gets there.

Tour 3 notes

-Just had 2 99 matches back to back, the main event one involving The Canadian Destroyers and Team Dynasty. The show was a 97

-Victoria Stone vs Hooded Kudo just got a 99!

-And theres the first 100...Mito Miwa vs Tommy Cornell! HE beat me! BOO!

-I am actually closer to National than I thought I would be. This is very exciting. There is a very small chance I'll hit it before the end of the year.

-Dan Stone Jr has been getting injured more frequently. I am sad to say I might have to let his contract lapse when it comes up. He's also actually becoming less useful. I am not sure yet, but my plan is to jump ship to ACPW (I know, crazy) when it opens, I might pull him in there if I can.

-I have almost 20mil in the bank. That said I have a lot of people making decent coin and I might have to start looking through to see who I don't want to keep around.

-BHOTWG dropped Tim Westybrook so I have him back for the first time since year 1 or 2.

-Tim Westybrook has become a very negative influence! I should have checked first!

-Thursday Feb week 4 I hit National. Swapping to percentages so I can confirm if I get an A+.

-Won the alliance title in a match I thought would have gotten it but I made the mistake of making it 22 minutes and steal the show...won't make that mistake again. Alliance title vs Hooded Kato at my next PPV in a call in the ring epic.

-Crusher Ichihara has retired. I inducted her into my Hall of Fame (since she qualified). I also inducted Sakurako Kagawa who qualified for her Colour Commentating since I have replaced her as a colour commentator, though she is still my road agent.

-Bought out Westybrook for the rest of his 1 year deal. He was being a total prick backstage.

-Cornell got into a fight backstage. I've been tossing around on his future with my company. I don't really want to give him up but at the same time it would save me some money down the line. I might start building people up to take over his position. Maybe Jack DeColt.

-I'm planning on having Kudo defeat King for the Survivor Tournament title...I made a storyline for them.

-Kudo wins the tournament and the Alliance World Title, match rating A. One tour down with no A+!

5.5 years in. I am enjoying this. Time to make it a global company and then push to get King into the Hall of Immortals. I'll probably do an actual journal down the line, I think that would be fun. I've done a lot with this company and am excited to keep playing them. Sorry for the spam over the past few days, but I've been having a lot of fun with this and wanted to keep it going! I have another RTG planned in Canada in 2016. We will see how that goes! I'm much better at booking Puro.

Okay so, hint for you guys.

Don't let the backstage hit like 30% or so. That's toxic, everyone gets morale issues, and then it just is baaaaaaaaaaad.

Also, don't do the thing where you bury the company you came from; it takes WAY too long for them to die, and then you get STUPID PENALTIES FOR COMPETITION HAVING BETTER PRODUCTION.
