Well a 50 in stamina did not turn out as well as I expected. I was visibly exhausted in a twelve minute match.

My first show also put me Four thousand dollars in debt so I had to fire a couple guys.

Finding people who are good enough to be on my shows and cost less then six or seven hundred bucks seems impossible to me.

At least in the Real World Mods.

Forgot to update after year 2 because I got an amazing offer from HGC, a up and coming cult company, which I got to national in record time (thanks to a budget of 60+ mil and starting a network).

Gave myself a Jesus push and got an A* at a TV show and I thought now it's gonna be easy, well not.. I didn't get an A* for the rest of the '99, that is until our December PPV, on the last day of the year:

il8Ej70.png

It was a hard year.. for SWF, we're on a rampage, raiding everyone with a int of starquality so they'll lose the National Battles which they did around September. We even made their show worse by sniping all their top staff as well, they're even without a good announcer right now.

With the TV station with Enormous coverage in USA and Canada, Big in Mexico, Medium in Japan, and Tiny in the UK, we're well on our way to International size.

Ryan Shaw starting stats '97

Ryan Shaw stats January '98

Ryan Shaw stats January '99

Ryan Shaw stats January '00

Mystery Box:

  • '97 6. "Master And Disciple", I just hired a couple of Road agents, and I rolled on Professor Nero, he has great mic skills and psychology so I should benefit from him.
  • '98 "As Real As It Gets" The World of MMA called you out and you delivered. Add +10 between Toughness and Menace. Add MMA to your character (Other Genre) Added 10 to menace
  • '99 35. "Making Movies" You are unavailable for events for one month due to a role in a small movie (within the next 3 months you must pick 28 days during which you make no appearances for your company.). Gain +5 Star Quality.

Power 500:

  • '97 #159
  • '98 #41
  • '99 #3

Awards

  • Wrestler of the Year: Sean McFly (stole from SWF)
  • Company of the Year: Hollyweird Grappling Company
  • Team of the Year: Renegade Warriors (Ryan Shaw and Ashton Ares (Mario Heroic))
  • Match of the Year: Renegade Warrior vs Team Perfection (Mr. Hollywood Dennis Butler and Adonis)
  • Show of the Year: HGC Psycho Circus, December '99
  • Young Wrestler of the Year: Ryan Shaw
  • Veteran Wrestler of the Year: Sam Strong
  • Most Improved Company: Next Generation Wrestling (Our Dev)
  • Manager of the Year: Womanizer Robbie Gordon (At our Dev)
  • Announcer of the Year: Peter Michaels (Stole from SWF)

Now I'm debating whether I'll stay at HGC, or jump to the newly founded 21st Century Wrestling.

<p>Attempt Number 3 (after 2 had some issues)</p><p> </p><p>

So due to my stream series having some technical issues (like a corrupted save), I'm going to be attempting this again, but this time off-screen. I have completed this before with David Arnold in Iowa Pro Wrestling. However, I'm going to be attempting something a bit different this time around. The company is a bit different, Pro Wrestling X, with only Heavy Traditional and Medium Modern for a product. All matches will be scripted early on to help with the lower psychology people I'll be bringing in. Anywho... (no pictures right now)</p><p> </p><p>

David Arnold</p><p>

50 Chain/Mat/Submissions</p><p>

70 Basics/Psych/Safety/Consistency</p><p>

45 Selling</p><p>

25 Athleticism</p><p>

60 Stamina</p><p>

30 Toughness</p><p>

40 Mic</p><p>

35 Charisma/Acting</p><p>

30 Star Quality</p><p>

20 Menace</p><p>

All the rest are 0's</p><p> </p><p>

65 Face/35 Heel</p><p>

35 Cocky/Legit</p><p>

50 Comedy</p><p>

60 Crazy/Weird/Wholesome (starting with Fan's Own gimmick although gimmicks aren't needed)</p><p> </p><p>

Going to try what a lot of people have said and focus on smaller rosters, shows earlier in the month, and trying to have as low of costs as possible. Owner is Jordan Schneider who's an announcer and I plan to have myself as a Road Agent for every match other than my own, not hiring one until we're in the black.</p><p> </p><p>

Let's see how things go! I'll see you all at the end of the first year!</p>

About 2 years into a 1994 rtg, best run so far. Company is teasing going cult after i bought out NWA:NJ. Now debating whether or not to aggressively push towards cult and try to buy out and absorb ecw, or wait it out. I have 1,500,000 in the bank, so i’ll think i’ll push it.

My rtg is developing nicely in performance and entertainment skills, but is struggling physcially (outside stamina) and in star quality/sex appeal/menace. Any tips from anyone on getting those stats up?

You can increase size, which usually leads to SQ gain, and sometimes you'll get random body type changes (which from flabby would almost always be positive). Otherwise, allow steroids backstage (unclear from the rules if this is voluntary or not as one of the rolls forces you to do it; then again I think the rolls are an optional addition to the challenge) and increase size.</p><p> </p><p> I've gone through a few years of game time in several RTG challenges; sometimes you cap out in the 70s, sometimes you grow naturally well into the 90s.</p>

Rolled a 43 then a 17 so Gold Phoenix got the pop boost. My company is regional with a hundred and sixty-two grand in the bank. I might have this.</p>

Forgot to mention I'm playing the September 95 mod. In Jan. of 1996 ECCW opened it's doors and I jumped ship to get to company not in debt. been running a couple months now slowly building up popularity. Going with the slow burn of a show a month at local, as I feel it's more realistic. Seeing some nice gains in psychology right now that I'm quite happy with.

Weirdest development so far is that my character somehow learned spanish. My company is in the southwest and I am strong friends with Richie Santana Jr. but otherwise I have no clue how I learned spanish.

That's odd, I'm doing this same challenge and my user character apparently also speaks Spanish. I run shows in the Tri State, and don't have any other Spanish speakers on my roster, so I have no idea how that happened.

<p>Completed my first 12 months, now in Sep. of 96 Booking ECCW we are E+ in popularity in Manitoba, just waiting for it to balance into Importance, for that jump into regional. I rolled an 18 and added 5 to my brawling stats. This is how I am shaping up after one year. </p><p> </p><p>

Impressed with my psychology gain, once we hit regional, I am going to try and start a tv show so I can start building my entertainment skills.</p>

Does anyone else have any advice on when to start a T.V show, I'm pretty close to hitting Regional level, like maybe 2 or 3 shows away and was considering making a TV show to rise quickly up the ranks, what do you guys think?

As usual, Derek B has some of the best advice. You can find it here: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=537836

  • 2 weeks later...

Decided to start a RTG. This is after 2 shows. I'm based in Ontario with the TCW product but Mainstream is turned down a notch, womens wrestling is integrated, and face/heel divide is off. I thought it was 0/0/0/0 so I didn't give myself $1K. Oh, well.

I signed Hawkeye Calhoun & Glorious Gloria to start for $110 & $140. Brought in Gregory Chapman for $180. Nathan Coleman is in TD and our owner, currently working for free. I botched and hurt Hawkeye on the first show so he hates me and missed our second event. Whoever isn't wrestling is usually our road agent. We'll bring in Reese Paige as our Road Agent when we can manage a 700$ profit on the month.

We actually made a $279 profit after February so that's great. I don't want to spam shows, so I'll be taking it slow. Monthly events for now.

Just finished up Year 1 of EVOLVE. Ran monthly events throughout the year and made a profit every month after January. I hired Reese Paige as my Road Agent pretty early on. At Chapter 10 in October, I added the first new talent to EVOLVE: Christopher Ball. Part-time mixed martial artist. I've added a talent a month since then. Regen Tully Townsend and Marshall Lessard joined us for the rest of the year. Masked wrestler Richard Blanchard who graduated from the SWF wrestling school, has been our latest signing. </p><p> </p><p>

Per DaveFan recommendation, he will be called Purple Rain.</p><p> </p><p>

Most of the year the storyline has centered around the union of Jesus Glory and Glorious Gloria versus the face team-up of Nathan Coleman & Hawkeye Calhoun. Glory & Gloria broke off after the "Tag Extravaganza" night when everyone teamed with everyone and Glory took credit for leading his teams to 3 victories despite never pinning anyone.</p><p> </p><p>

We also had our first ever "One-Of-A-King" tournament. Started off as a fatal four way and whoever got pinned was eliminated for the latter match. Glory ended up winning it by beating Glorious Gloria in the finals.</p><p> </p><p>

On top of that we had the first ever King of Toronto tournament. Jesus Glory, Nathan Coleman and Hawkeye Calhoun made it to the finals in a triple threat match with Nathan Coleman ultimately coming away with the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

The final show of the year culminated with Hawkeye Calhoun and Nathan Coleman settling their 2-2 series, with Coleman winning the match to go up 3-2 on him.</p><p> </p><p>

Final W-L records for the year:</p><p> </p><p>

Next year the main storyline to start will be between the Originals (Glory/Coleman/Calhoun/Gloria) and the newcomers.</p><p> </p><p>

The plan right now is to keep hiring a new worker every month as long as we're making profit till we have at least 20 workers for 10 matches a show. After that we'll sign 3 announcers. Right now I've got guys rotating on the announcing booth. We'll also probably replace Gregory Chapman as a referee at some point since he penalizes each match with his shite refereeing. When all of that is done, I'll settle all my backstage rules. Make sure my production is at the level of the competition if we ever have any. Once we're stable in all of that, I'll move towards weekly show and that'll be our permanent schedule forever. I have no intention of moving beyond a weekly event. </p><p> </p><p>

Growth wise, we are aiming to hit regional then get 28 pop in 4 regions of Canada for our first broadcasting deal. So I've got the future mostly mapped out.</p><p> </p><p>

For the rolls at the end of the year, do you make the edits via the in-game editor?</p><p> </p><p>

For the 0/0/0/1000 promotion, do most people create their own?</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Yes and yes. Good luck!</p><p> </p><p>

Does anybody have any idea how to get to Regional quickly? I've been running two shows a week in the Great Lakes since early Jan with a C and rising industry (now up to C+), and I'm not even halfway there. I have heard stories of people grinding to near Cult in 6 months, so may try adding a 3rd show.</p>
