<strong>57. </strong>I love these special events, but in my own experience it can be tough to actually make them a better show than a regular one where all you're concerned with is putting up the best card possible.</p>

Glad my feedback could help you, and I've been looking forward to the show being posted for a while now!

Qualifiers

Hoshiko Tagawa vs Marie Punnen

Kaori Mochizuki vs Selina Svelte

These two are pretty easy, Maria Guest's allies get in to make them seem somewhat legitimate

Glorious Gloria vs Joanna Silver

This one's a bit tougher, but I feel like Gloria can't lose twice to the cavalry of the person she's feuding with (plus it lets you get a look at how much she's developed by putting her in a match with Simony)

Quarterfinal #1

Polly Amorous vs Sista Kass

She's a dominant brute AND she's pulling her weight in her matches, easy call. The difficulty booking her will be figuring out how she can realistically lose when she is better physically than everyone while also being one of your strongest in ring.

Quarterfinal #2

Glorious Gloria/Joanna Silver vs Simony Sentinel

Gloria beating Sentinel would be too damaging to her, and if she isn't losing to Guest I don't think she's losing to Gloria (barring some shenanigans)

Quarterfinal #3

Hoshiko Tagawa/Marie Punnen vs Velvet Suarez

Velvet Revolucion have felt a little stale lately, and isn't Velvet still hampered by injury?

Quarterfinal #4

Kaori Mochizuki/Selina Svelte vs Ursula Saez

Saez, on the other hand, has been pulling more than her weight in and out of the ring and could do with a little tempering. Plus, you don't need to build Svelte up as a big threat as she is already a name in the US, while Hoshiko is less known

For the DPW Tag Team Titles

Emiko Miyoshi and Nami Genda vs Jawbreaker ©

Don't see them winning this if they can't beat an injured Velvet Revolucion. Feels like a consolation prize to get pounded by McMahon

Semi-Final #1

Sista Kass vs Hoshiko Tagawa

Heel vs Heel and Stable vs Stable, but I don't see Kass losing and I don't see Guest or Svelte even daring to get on Kass's bad side

Semi-Final #2

Simony Sentinel vs Ursula Saez

Although it would make more sense for Svelte to have won the quarterfinal match if it meant Sentinel would be screwed out of the finals by Guest and her crew, I think it will happen this way, with Saez being the dark horse with no allegiances to any of the major stables taking on an unstoppable Sista Kass, while Sentinel realizes she can't just leave Guest behind her

Venus Tournament Final (Worth Two Points)

Sista Kass vs Ursula Saez

Kass legitimizes herself, Saez looks strong coming up against the undefeated Kass (possibly losing to a distraction by Thea involving Velvet), and both move up the ladder. Kass to challenge Flame, and Saez to upper midcard singles competition with Velvet in her corner

Bonus Points:

Four points possible (one each) for correctly naming each semi-finalist

For one point, DPW will be involved in the company's first regional battle this month. What place will the company come in (out of six)? Fifth, I think the finals of the Sentinel tournament doesn't live up to last month's but I think one of the two hardcore feds in Cali does worse. (Could be higher if Sentinel makes it to the finals)

Tiebreaker (Price is Right Rules)

What will be the show's number rating? 53

Those are some well articulated guesses John Lions, kind of make me feel dumb that I didn't think of some of the things you pointed out. :)

But since I'm stubborn (among many other flaws), I'll stick to my picks. :D

Psh I don't blame you, I was very articulate in every single one of my (mostly wrong) predictions last week ;)

<p>Everyone picking Kass so far. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Oh, and someone got the show rating exactly right, though I won't say who. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="DarEatWorld" data-cite="DarEatWorld" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41787" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> <em>Also, a general question about regional battles. The 1st place winner's popularity stays exactly the same, while each subsequent place loses 0.2% of popularity.</p><p> </p><p> That means that coming in 6th will lose that company 1.0% of popularity, which is why South West USA is about to become a battlefield. I don't think regional battles are supposed to have this many companies in general, but CZCW fell into the regional battle after putting on some bad shows, while QAW and AAA are bleeding over into the region and GSW and IPW are duking it out for survival.</p><p> </p><p> And then there's DPW stuck in the middle...<img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="DarEatWorld" data-cite="DarEatWorld" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41787" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> <p> </p><p> <em>Edit: I'm your 200th reply! The downside of doing the tournaments the way that I am doing them is that there is a penalty to wrestler performance when they wrestle multiple matches in a single show, increasing the more matches they wrestle. That means that the workers in the tournament finals will have wrestled three or four matches on the card, and their perfomances get nerfed, similar to what happened last year with Maria and Laura. I thought about doing Laura vs Thea II as the main event for this show, but I felt like the write-up would be long enough already. <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> For 2019's tournament, I'm thinking about having the semi-finals and finals in August, while the quarterfinals would be in a show in July. That is dependent on DPW making more money than the company currently is though.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="John Lions" data-cite="John Lions" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41787" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Glad my feedback could help you, and I've been looking forward to the show being posted for a while now!</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Haha, shows will get posted on Fridays if I meet my self-imposed deadline. I’ll keep you around…”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “Is this about me pushing for Thea to win the title?!” Phil sits straight up, his face starting to turn red with anger.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Kate’s eyebrows arch, “No…but I don’t see what you suddenly have against Laura.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Vibert turns his head slightly to crack his neck before speaking, “Look, I’m the one that put Laura where she is today. If it wasn’t for me she’d be stuck in some dumb tag team feud right now instead of being champion! And do I get one ‘thank you?’ One handshake? No!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “Are you serious?! Laura doesn’t owe you shit Phil. Yes, you pushed for her to win the Venus Tournament, but she took that opportunity and ran with it. You didn’t have anything to do with that.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Phil takes in a deep breath, “Kate, it’s clear we don’t see eye to eye on this. If you want to replace me on the booking committee, then fine. It won’t be the first time for me, and I’m sure it won’t be the last either. Just to show you I’m sincere, I’ll even reach out to a couple people I know to see if they might be interested in the position.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “Thanks Phil. I appreciate that,” Hell Cat’s blood pressure begins to lower as she looks down at the parquet floor.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Vibert rises to his feet and takes his cell phone back out of his pocket, “Well…at least we’ll always have Los Angeles.” The former owner of DAVE gives Hell Cat a wry smile before walking towards an exit door, “See you in October, Kate.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “See you in October, Phil,” Avatar whispers as she starts to think about who the hell she can actually get to replace Vibert. </div><p></p>

Kate knows this can only mean one thing, it is time to call Farrah Hesketh.</div><p></p>

Chapter 23 Flashback: What does BSC Stand For?

<div style="border: solid 5px #C5B358;">

Eight years earlier…

http://i.imgur.com/1Hyvuq0.jpg

Kate Avatar stands in the Gorilla position backstage at the Snake Pit, a rundown gymnasium in San Bernardino that is most well-known for its rowdy crowds and purposeful lack of air conditioning. On this last Saturday in May 2010, the weather is unseasonable warm, making the conditions inside the decrepit building unbearable.

“Alright, when Alison hits the ring, I want camera four to zoom in to get a nice frame with her and the crowd,” Marilyn Stardust sits in front of a monitor just off to Kate’s right side, fanning herself as she barks instructions into her headset.

http://i.imgur.com/INMzyN5.jpg

In the gymnasium, a
-esque theme stops playing as Alison Capone steps through the ropes. The 26-year-old holds a microphone in one hand and her customary unlit cigar in her other, “Some people call me the Gangsta of Love, others the Queen of the Underworld. But what I am…is a woman scorned,” Alison’s voice is unusually calm as she saunters over to a corner and takes a seat perched atop the turnbuckle.

“What is she doing?!” Marilyn wipes away the beads of sweat from her forehead and squints harder at the scene on her small monitor.

“I...don’t know,” Kate paces over to BSC’s head trainer and stands over her left shoulder.

“So this is the part where I rant about how much I hate Hell Cat and how I’m oh so furious at her. What do they say, sometimes truth is better than fiction?” Back in the gymnasium, Capone takes off her fedora and tosses the hat at the jeering crowd before running her fingers through her hair, “You see, y’all might not know this, but I’m supposda be Queen of the Ring right now. I don’t mean I shoulda won this match or somebody cheated to beat me, I mean I was told…no, I was
promised
I would be champion. ‘Oh, the crowd just can’t get enough of you Alison. The best companies are the ones that have faces chasing strong heels Alison. I can make you a star…
Alison
,’” Capone’s voice takes a mocking tone as her fingers move to make constant air quotes, but then becomes menancing at her final word.

“And who told me all this you might ask…why look who it is!” Alison turns her head to find Kate standing in front of the curtain, and motions to her boss with a dismissive wave of her hand, “Everyone’s favorite little booker, Hell Cat Kate Avatar. What took you so long? Waiting to see just how ‘real’ I can get?”

Kate remains silent as she stares at Capone, hoping that the crowd will buy this as a worked shoot. “Oh Hell Cat, always so verbose. It’s like the time you told me I was gonna become Queen of the Ring for the third time. That’s right, I was supposda win the four-way match back in February, not Dharma Gregg! But you couldn’t stand it Kate! You couldn’t stand pushing someone that doesn’t kiss your ass all night and day!”

Alison jumps down from the turnbuckle and tosses her cigar at Hell Cat, who now approaches the ring raising a microphone to her mouth, “You were drunk that night, Alison. Remember?”

Capone lets out a small laugh before running her fingers through her hair again, “Drunk? You damn right I was drunk! You have to be to put up with all the shit around here.”

Avatar reaches the ring and Alison holds the ropes open for BSC’s head booker, but Capone cuts off Hell Cat from talking by poking her boss in the chest, “I’ve spent four years with this company, four years! I was here on day one while you were enjoying the good life in the Cat’s Lair. I’ve sweated and slaved to make this something, make a better life for me, for the girls in the back that you don’t give a damn about! What’s the word you used Kate, ‘enhancement talent?’ Well I’ve got some talent you can enhance right here!” Capone grabs her crotch and then gives Kate the finger.

Avatar holds the microphone away from her mouth in hopes that the crowd of over 400 won’t hear her, “Come on Alison, that’s enough.”

“No! It’ll never be enough!” some tears start to form in Capone’s eyes, but she quickly chokes them down, “I’ve been here four years and then you show up, little miss savior. ‘Gonna to bring us to the next level, gonna take us to the top.’ What you shoulda said is you’re gonna take Amber Allen to the top! There’s no more room in BSC for the women who built it! Pretty soon, this is gonna look like some spiffed up version of AAA. You think I’m gonna get a win then? You think Roxy, the Neptunes, Helen, Alexis, they gonna get wins then? F*ck no! It’ll be about the women you like, Hell Cat’s chosen few. God forbid you have an ass or some tits.”

Avatar walks forward and tries to cover Alison’s mic, but Capone forcefully pushes her hand away, “I was told I was gonna be number one, but that was all a lie! BSC don’t mean Babes of Sin City no more. Apparently, it stands for Bull Shittin’ C*nts!” Alison rears back and slaps Kate with all her might.

The fans, even as hardcore as they are, gasp at Capone’s strike, while the left side of Kate’s face turns bright red. Hell Cat’s fists ball up, but she doesn’t move forward, so Alison slaps her again.

“Come on, hit me!” Capone screams. A fire rages in Kate’s eyes, but she stands motionless in front of Alison. This time, Capone takes a set of brass knuckles from her waistband and slams Hell Cat in the jaw with them.

Avatar crumples to the mat, while Marilyn Stardust rushes to ringside with several BSC staffers in tow. Kate looks up at her head trainer and waves off the assistance. Getting back to her feet, Avatar spits out several teeth and wipes blood from the corners of her mouth, “That’s how you want it?!” Alison nods furiously while Kate cracks her knuckles, “That’s how it’s going to be?!”

Before Capone can respond, Hell Cat lands a short jab to the face of the BSC Original. Alison tries to fight back, but Kate lands several blows to the body before sweeping Capone’s leg. With Alison down on the mat, Kate shoots an elbow right into the Gangster of Love’s rib cage, and the sound of breaking bones echoes throughout the Snake Pit.

Despite the violence on display, the crowd is eerily silent as Kate continues to assault Capone. Mounting Alison, Avatar bludgeons the two-time Queen of the Ring with her own forehead until Capone is busted open. Hell Cat gets back to her feet, but then hears a taunting murmur from the canvas, “That all you got…”

Kate looks at her victim, blood gurgling out of the BSC Original’s mouth, “Stay down Alison.”

Capone crawls to Avatar and tries to use her boss as leverage to get to her feet. Failing, Alison decides to take a shot at Kate’s right knee with the brass knuckles. The head booker of BSC groans in pain before reacting with instinct by kicking Capone square in the jaw, knocking out the top heel in the company.

Hell Cat picks up a discarded microphone and stands over Capone’s lifeless body, “Alison…you’re fired.”

</div>

OOC: Big thanks to John Lions for selecting this interlude as the second place prize for the Red Alert prediction contest. This was the first idea I had while booking BSC that made me start thinking of doing a diary, so it was fun to finally write it out. Alison would never appear in BSC again, working some matches with AAA before retiring from in-ring competition to become a manager. Unable to land a contract with an established company, Capone ultimately left the business in late-2015 to open up her own strip club in Upstate New York.

Hell Cat puts the Japanese Light Heavyweight through the paces, and despite the glowing reports Avatar has been receiving about her potential, it quickly becomes clear that Ishimura has a long way to go before she can be considered for any type of sustained push.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Lumbering from one side of the ring to the other in pursuit of Kate, Ishimura becomes so winded that Avatar has to put the action on hold several times for fear of the Japanese woman passing out. While Ishimura is completely exposed by the intermediate length of the match, Hell Cat appears to be reenergized after her hiatus from in-ring action and puts on a clinic for the rest of the roster on how to cut down a much larger opponent. After seven minutes of attacking Ishimura’s legs, Hell Cat takes her foe down with a flying elbow from the top rope that is good for the pin.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Winner via Pinfall: Kate Avatar</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Rating: D</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Pre-Show Dark Match #1: Hoshiko Tagawa vs Marie Punnen – Venus Tournament Qualifier</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/dBBDsXj.jpg</span><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>VS</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/rt9PcSQ.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> With the crowd now filtering in, Hoshiko Tagawa takes on Marie Punnen, who, unfortunately for the earlier arrivers, is horribly off her game. Whether it is frustration with her place on the card or simply a bad night, Marie tries her best to sell Tagawa's stiff strikes but mostly fails. The action is still decent and the crowd is firmly behind Punnen, the fans not forgetting that Tagawa helped Maria Guest and Selina Svelte attack Simony Sentinel at Bitter Harvest. It is Hoshiko who ultimately comes out on top, though, after a running knee strike to Marie’s jaw earns the Japanese Technician the win. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Winner via Pinfall and Advancing to the Venus Tournament: Hoshiko Tagawa</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Rating: E</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Marie Punnen is still down and out on the mat when </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/ngmhjiR3QOo?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Hole - Gold Dust Woman (High Quality)"></iframe></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> begins to play to bring out Maria Guest flanked by Selina Svelte. Apparently, being one of the best technical wrestlers in the world doesn’t matter much around here. It’s about corny catchphrases and brightly colored hair. Well I’ve found two wrestlers that think just like me, who are sick and tired of their skill not being recognized, of style being more valued than substance. Our time has come, we are Generation NOW!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The three women turn their attention to Punnen, stomping on the street fighter until Guest lifts her up for a package piledriver. “That one’s for you Simony!” Guest shouts before she goes to the theater floor with Tagawa while Selina remains in the ring for the next match.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Segment Rating: F+</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> </strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Pre-Show Dark Match #2: Kaori Mochizuki vs Selina Svelte – Venus Tournament Qualifier</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/FnQ2qa4.jpg</span><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>VS</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/fzOUm1W.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Selina begins the match by attempting a series of takedowns on Kaori, but the Japanese brawler manages to power out these maneuvers each time. Svelte immediately gets to work on attacking Mochizuki’s shoulder before putting Kaori in the Prawn Armlock (Kimura Lock). The Japanese brawler tries to squirm out of the hold, but the pain is too much, and instead of having her rotator cuff torn in half, Kaori taps out.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> After the referee calls for the bell, Mochizuki quickly makes her way backstage holding her clavicle, while Generation NOW loudly celebrates in the ring before heading up the ramp to boos from the audience.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Winner via Submission and Advancing to Venus Tournament: Selina Svelte</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Rating: E</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/lGDXjoF.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> In a dramatic shift in tone, once the trio of Generation NOW have disappeared to the back, </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/QB8C8awaBhc?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Yo Ho A Pirate's Life For Me - The Pirates Of The Caribbean (Full Ride Audio)"></iframe></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> starts to play and the crowd sings the missing lyrics as Joanna Silver comes onto the stage.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Wearing her usual revealing outfit of a low-cut ruffled shirt and leather mini-skirt, Joanna hands out t-shirts to fans while on her way to the ring. The 284-pound woman is followed closely behind by Glorious Gloria, who relishes in witnessing this beatdown. Just when it looks like Ishimura is going splash her full weight onto Joanna on the theater floor, Polly Amorous runs out and drags Silver to safety.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/oMX9Z9a.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Gloria looks to attack Amorous, but from the ring, referee Gregory Chapman threatens to disqualify the former bodybuilder from the tournament if she does not stand down. Silver’s only saving grace is her nimble agility born from years of exotic dancing, which allows her to slip out of Gloria’s repeated attempts at putting her in the Glorious Full Nelson.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The crowd is game for this contest, with Joanna continuing to build her fan base despite her lack of in-ring skill. Gloria also takes another step forward in her ability to turn the crowd against her, putting on a quality performance that would have been unthinkable even at the beginning of the year.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Nine minutes into the match, Gloria finally manages to lock her signature submission move onto Joanna. Silver tries to wriggle free once again, but the former bodybuilder is able to lace her fingers together to keep the hold on tight. As in Gloria and Joanna's previous encounter, Polly jumps up on the ring apron, but before she can distract Silver's opponent, Monster Ishimura drags Amorous down and slams her to the theater floor.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Back in the ring, Joanna still refuses to tap out, so Gloria lifts her small frame up and sends the Pirate of Men's Pants crashing to the mat with a Full Nelson Slam. While she probably had some valid points, I have trouble relating to someone so clearly more interested in burning bridges than mending them. But hey, makes for good drama.<p> </p><p> Was there a specific in game event that inspired the scene?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, my intention wasn't to make Alison sympathetic at all when I was sketching this out, but it kind of turned out that way as I wrote on. I like it though because everything she says is true in terms of Kate bringing in her own wrestlers and pushing them over the BSC Originals. </p><p> </p><p> The part about Alison being the planned winner of the 4-way Queen of the Ring match in February 2010 was the genesis for everything. I'm not 100% sure I got the drunk backstage incident for her, but that is what has stuck in my mind over the years, so my guess is that is what it was. That incident caused me to change the finish to Dharma winning the title instead. After that, Alison would have about one backstage incident a month until she was an extremely negative influence on the locker room.</p><p> </p><p> I started to think about what could drive Alison to become such a thorn in Kate's side, so I landed on her being mad about being promised the title and then about BSC being changed by Kate. </p><p> </p><p> At the event in the write-up, Alison had another incident, and I decided that was enough. I had her do the "What does BSC stand for?" promo with Kate, and then had Kate squash her in an Ultimate Deathmatch before firing her. Ironically, that main event is probably the worst rated in BSC history. </p><p> </p><p> This was really when I started thinking about the things between the lines, and coming up with other stuff like Amber Allen's reason for not being with AAA and Kate's backstory with Catherine Quine. Honestly, without that, I don't know if I would have ever thought about doing a diary all this time later.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="John Lions" data-cite="John Lions" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41787" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Damn, that was pretty metal. Wasn't expecting the shoot fight with broken bones and extreme dental work. I love shades of gray, I'm glad Capone had at least some basis for her meltdown and it made it pretty intense.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Haha, thanks. This definitely evolved from what I had originally intended, but there might be some transference of real life anger in Alison's words, say about being replaced in a job perhaps. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> I'm glad you enjoyed, and the themes in this flashback might come up again soon. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

It has been over two years since these wrestlers last faced off, but their styles still do not mesh despite Gloria’s progress and the crowd’s love for every move Simony makes. This lack of chemistry only slightly detracts from the fans’ enjoyment of the match, even as Gloria manages to dominate most of early action through her power.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The former bodybuilder starts to get cocky with Sentinel down on the mat after a pump handle slam, and flexes her muscles instead of immediately going for the pin. When Gloria finally saunters over to her opponent for the cover, the Violent Violet is ready and quickly rolls up her foe. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Gloria manages to kick out of the surprise pin attempt at two, but Simony has regained the momentum and soon has Gloria reeling from a series of kicks. Sentinel looks to finish the former bodybuilder off with UltraViolet, but Monster Ishimura grabs Simony’s ankle when the purple haired wrestler tries to bounce off of the ropes.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Seizing the opportunity, Gloria recovers and locks the Violent Violet in the Glorious Full Nelson. The fans beg Simony not to tap out, but Sentinel can not seem to break free from the hold. Gloria swings Simony from side to side, and in one last burst, the fan favorite is able to use this motion to touch the bottom rope with her foot.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Referee Gregory Chapman immediately calls for the break, but Gloria refuses, dragging Simony to the middle of the ring instead. To the shock of the former bodybuilder, the referee intervenes and forces her to release her opponent. Back in the ring, Gloria curses out the referee for costing her a place in the semi-finals. The former bodybuilder finally decides she’s given Gregory Chapman enough abuse for one day and angrily heads to the theater floor. When she reaches the stage, Gloria pivots to face the jeering audience and screams, “This whole thing is a farce! With the crowd now having a reason to hate Tagawa, the Japanese Technician puts on her best performance to date by using her precise wrestling skill to draw heat by stalling the action. It helps that Maria Guest and Selina Svelte are at ringside, taunting Velvet for her lack of technical ability and decrying the audience for rooting for the luchadora.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Suarez delivers a good showing as well, ignoring the vitriol coming from Generation NOW to gain the upper hand with her speed. When Hoshiko tries to get Velvet in a standing armbar, the purple masked wrestler ducks under Tagawa’s reach and runs to the ropes, leaping backwards with a springboard elbow. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> With Ursula cheering her on from her corner, Velvet climbs to the top turnbuckle to finish off her foe with the Purple Haze Moonsault, but Selina jumps up on the ring apron. Selina Svelte climbs through the ropes, replacing a fuming Hoshiko who now stands next to Maria at ringside.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> In contrast with the previous contest, Ursula can not counter Selina’s technical prowess with speed, so instead relies on her power and brawling nature to fight back against Svelte’s surgical attacks. This results in Saez surviving, but only by being worn down bit by bit as her opponent targets each limb for punishment.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> With Selina gaining momentum, Ursula is forced to fall back on some less than honorable tactics. Svelte goes to put Saez in a headlock, but the Mayan Mauler rakes the blonde across the eyes. Selina staggers backwards, giving Ursula a chance to nail her with the Saez Splitter. The Mexican brawler goes for the cover, but Guest has jumped up on the ring apron, distracting the referee.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Saez rises to complain, but Hoshiko jumps into the ring a blows a handful of white powder in the Mayan Mauler’s face. Temporarily blinded, Ursula stumbles backwards, right into a roll up by Svelte. Maria jumps back down to the theater floor, allowing referee Gregory Chapman to go down to the mat, Selina grabbing a handful of tights as she picks up the win.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Winner via Pinfall and Advancing to the Semi-Finals: Selina Svelte</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Rating: D-</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Ursula gets back on her feet, rubbing the powder out of her eyes as she steams with anger. This is mostly due to Ariel and Kathy taking the two Japanese Cruiserweights serious this time, having narrowly retained the titles the last two shows.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The pace of the match is also slower than usual, giving the fans a chance to catch their breath with three matches still left to go. This style does not suit Nami at all, throwing Genda off her game while Emiko is only minimally affected by not being able to constantly wow the fans with her high flying moves.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Ariel and Kathy, on the other hand, appear right at home in dragging out the action, with McMahon being head and shoulders above everyone else in terms of captivating the crowd.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The end comes six minutes in when Ariel lifts Nami up for Breakerfall, only for Genda to be hit in the back by double knees from Kathy. The encouragement from the Mayan Mauler appears to motivate Suarez, and despite absorbing a constant stream of abuse from Kass, Velvet begins to pick up a bit of momentum after a series of high-flying moves.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Even after this burst of aerial maneuvers, the purple masked wrestler still can not knock Kass to the mat, but the 240-pound behemoth is wobbling. Velvet decides to go to the top rope to attempt a seated senton splash, but Thea jumps up to the ring apron to shout at her. Ursula immediately runs over and pulls Davis down, causing the referee to lean through the ropes to shout at the two women to knock it off.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/dBBDsXj.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> With the referee distracted, Velvet turns her attention back to the staggering Kass, but that is when Hoshiko Tagawa quietly sneaks down the ramp and pushes Suarez from the top rope. Velvet crashes to the canvas, landing hard on her neck. Saez looks away from cursing Thea to the smiling Tagawa on the other side of the ring. Before the Mayan Mauler can give chase, the Japanese wrestler disappears through the crowd, leaving Gregory Chapman none the wiser to this interference.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> It only takes a few more moments for Kass to recover while Velvet starts to stir on the mat. You think you’ve got it all figured it out, Selina, but if you think I’m letting you beat me to move on to the finals, then you don’t know Simony!” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Segment Rating: C-</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> </strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Venus Tournament Semi-Final #2: Selina Svelte vs Simony Sentinel</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/fzOUm1W.jpg</span><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>VS</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/NcYZPXH.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Referee Gregory Chapman badgers Maria and Hoshiko until the two women finally leave the ring for the theater floor so the match can start. Simony’s ability to connect with the crowd is on display as she locks up with Svelte for the first time. With her promo having already gotten the fans red hot, the audience is sent buzzing by the Violent Violet’s rapid fire offense as she tries to steal the show in the early minutes of the contest.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Selina is no slouch, regaining the momentum by using her technical ability to cut off the ring and grind Simony down to the mat. Svelte targets the limbs of the Violent Violet, attacking each one until Sentinel cries out in pain. As Simony struggles, Selina manages to get her in the Prawn Armlock and the crowd instantly tries to rally Sentinel to break the hold. Fighting through the agony in her shoulder, Simony drags herself and her opponent to a corner, grabbing the bottom rope to force Selina to relent after the referee's count reaches four.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Simony rolls to the theater floor to recover, but is met by Maria and Hoshiko, who yell at the Violent Violet to get back in the ring. As Sentinel opens her mouth to respond, Selina hits her from behind, and the three members of Generation NOW gloat over Simony’s fallen body.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Svelte tosses Sentinel back into the ring, but the purple haired wrestler kicks out of the ensuing pin attempt at two. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The two wrestlers reset, with Simony taking her turn at dominating the action. A dropkick sends Selina to the floor, and the two other members of Generation NOW come to her side to tell her to stop playing around. Simony surveys the scene, then quickly runs across the ring, flipping over the top rope and onto the trio to a pop from the crowd.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> All four women remain down on the theater floor for several moments, with Maria the first to get back on her feet. Guest immediately goes into the ring to complain about Simony’s attack to the referee. This distraction obscures Gregory Chapman’s view as Hoshiko recovers and cracks a steel chair over Simony’s back.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Selina gives her stablemate a nod once the blonde is back on her feet, and rolls the knocked out Sentinel into the ring. Maria, a wry smile on her face, exits to the theater floor while Svelte covers the Violent Violet.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> …1</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> …2</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> …but Simony just gets her shoulder up at the last moment. Selina is beside herself, and her face is full of fury as she looks to finish Sentinel off with the Prawn Armlock. Barely conscious, Simony has enough wherewithal to shift her weight and turn the submission attempt into a flash pinfall on her opponent. Svelte is stunned by the sudden change of fortune, especially when the referee slaps the mat for the third time to give Simony the win.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><strong>Winner via Pinfall and Advancing to the Finals: Simony Sentinel</strong></strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Rating: D</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> As the fans cheer Sentinel advancing to the tournament finals, Simony slowly climbs to her feet and wipes the sweat from her brow. After catching her breath and being handed a microphone, an intense Simony looks directly into the camera to deliver a message, “I don’t care if it’s Godzilla or Sista Kass I have to face in the fina…” before Simony can finish her proclamation, Selina attacks her from behind, and the two other members of Generation NOW join in on the beatdown.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/YNQZbsf.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/x5SF8WV.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The crowd boos this devious act, until “¡Viva la Revolución!” is heard, Ursula and a hobbling Velvet making their way down the ramp to the Violent Violet’s rescue. Generation NOW is caught off guard by Velvet Revolución entering the ring, and soon the trio are sent reeling by the combination of aerial maneuvers and hard strikes.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Velvet sends Selina over the top rope with flying head scissors while Saez tosses Tagawa to the floor. Of her stable, only Maria is left in the ring, and Guest wisely decides to retreat under the ropes before either member of Velvet Revolución can reach her. With the fans cheering, Suarez checks on Simony while Ursula stands guard, but Generation NOW decides to live to fight another day and heads up the ramp.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “You have no idea what you’ve just done!” Maria shouts before disappearing backstage. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Segment Rating: E</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Velvet helps Simony to her feet when Rage Against the Machine’s </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/4smim2MNvF8?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Rage Against The Machine: Know Your Enemy"></iframe></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> pumps through the theater to bring out Sista Kass followed by Thea Davis.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/m1TODO6.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/BtwT5LL.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The two members of Generations make their way down the ramp, and Ursula signals to Suarez that their fight isn't against this duo. It represents the one shot where the cream can rise to the top overnight, where anyone on the roster can prove why they are worthy to fight for this Queen of the Ring title,” Laura points to the belt around her waist to loud cheers as she walks down the ramp.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “Now this year, it will either be Simony Sentinel or Sista Kass who earns the right to call herself Venus Champion. That person will also get to face me at Ashes in the Fall after I shut Thea Davis up once and for all next month,” Thea curses at Flame for her overconfidence while Fire N Ice approach the ring and Laura continues, “Simony, if you win, we’ll go to war again just like we did in the past. And Kass, I bet you like to think of yourself as an unstoppable monster. Well, you don’t know the fire that burns inside of me! I dare you to win this tournament, and find out just how devastating a Flame Fire Kick can be when it’s all on the line!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The Queen of the Ring drops the microphone and takes a seat with Claire in the front row, the crowd brought to a fever pitch by her words.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Segment Rating: B-</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong> Venus Tournament Final: Simony Sentinel vs Sista Kass</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/NcYZPXH.jpg</span><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>VS</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/m1TODO6.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><span>http://i.imgur.com/Vy2t5NB.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> With Thea entrenched at ringside, referee Gregory Chapman calls for the bell. Simony prepares herself to receive the first blow, but Kass simply rolls her thick neck from side to side before motioning for the Violent Violet to come at her. Cautiously, Sentinel obliges, but Kass blocks the kick attempt and clubs the purple haired wrestler across the back.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The crowd is on fire as they chant for Sentinel, but Kass tries to crush their spirit by delivering a series of devastating backbreakers to the fan favorite. Simony cries out in pain and tries to get to her feet, but Kass is on top of her in an instant, giving no quarter with the honor of being called Venus Champion on the line.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Sentinel’s only saving grace is that the grueling nature of three matches in one night begins to take its effect on the her opponent, and after Simony absorbs another barrage from Kass, the Violent Violet finds the behemoth slowing down. Taking advantage of this opening, Sentinel targets the legs of the 240-pound woman, attempting to cut Kass down to size. This tactic largely works, and Kass loses the some of the agility that makes her power so dangerous.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Thea shouts from the theater floor for Kass to finish the job, to which the former USPW wrestler responds with a look full of annoyancen at the Englishwoman. Still, this outburst motivates Kass into a second wind, and soon Simony is reeling under an undisciplined flurry of punches from her opponent.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Sentinel decides her only option is to turn on the afterburners and leave nothing in the ring, resulting in the Violent Violet bouncing from one corner to another as Kass struggles to keep up. Kass tries to grab Simony for a suplex, but Sentinel flips over her back and sweeps the 240-pound wrestler’s legs, bringing Kass down to the mat for the first time.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> To loud cheers, Simony signals for the Sentinel Strike and quickly jumps to the top rope. Before the Violent Violet can jump, the video screen above the stage cuts backstage, where Maria Guest is shown trashing Simony’s locker. Sentinel lets out a little yelp as she watches her former tag team partner tear down her Black Widow poster and throw her Star Wars action figures into the trash, but then shifts her focus back to the task at hand.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Unfortunately for the Violent Violet, Kass has already recovered, and wraps her thick arms around the purple haired wrestler’s waist. From the top turnbuckle, Kass tosses Simony clear across the ring with a release German suplex, deflating the crowd.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> “I must be the greatest!” Kass roars as she stalks over to her fallen opponent. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Simony feebly tries to slap Kass’ hands away from picking her off of the mat, but the cumulative punishment the Violent Violet has endured on this evening has taken its toll. The 240-pound behemoth deftly lifts Sentinel into the air and slams her small frame back to the canvas with a Kill Switch.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The resulting cover becomes academic as Simony remains motionless while the referee counts 1 – 2 – 3 to crown Kass as the winner of this year’s tournament.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Winner via Pinfall and New Venus Champion: Sista Kass</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Rating: D+</strong></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="150" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/4smim2MNvF8?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Rage Against The Machine: Know Your Enemy"></iframe></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> plays throughout the theater again to signal Sista Kass’ victory as the fans boo the result. Kass taunts the crowd for not recognizing her greatness while Thea jumps for joy in circles around the behemoth. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Somewhat reluctantly, Laura Flame climbs through the ropes with the Venus Champion trophy and a microphone in hand. <p>Prediction Contest Results and Card for Heat Check</p><p> </p><p> My apologies again for the delay in getting this up. I'm going to take this week to get back in the swing of things, so hopefully Heat Check will be up by next Monday.</p><p> </p><p> Everyone who picked had Kass winning the tournament, which hopefully didn't take too much fun out of the result. <p>Yeah sometimes the obvious thing is the right thing to do. Building Kass up as a monster heel is a good move and has to be done a certain way. That we see it coming doesn't make it any less enjoyable.</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks for the plaudits for my predictions too. A whole lotta luck people, a whole lotta luck... I think that MrWolf101 and I have gotten a good handle on each other's promotions too, he has just won my latest contest too (which I must e-mail him about later today actually). Anyway... onto Heat Check</p><p> </p><p>

3 vs 3 Tag Match</p><p>

<strong>Generation NOW (Maria Guest, Selina Svelte and Hoshiko Tagawa)</strong> vs Simony Sentinel and Velvet Revolución</p><p>

<em>I wouldn't necessarily expect a clean finish but think that a win could really benefit G-NOW. Simony doesn't need to lose directly (and is arguably over enough to shrug it off anyway).</em></p><p> </p><p>

Standard Tag Match</p><p>

Glorious Monsters (Glorious Gloria and Monster Ishimura) vs <strong>Yo Ho! (Joanna Silver and Polly Amorous)</strong></p><p>

<em>Yo Ho! is a terrific name for Silver/Amorous! </em><img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><em> Ishimura seemed to struggle against Avatar and if you can't get it done with the Hellcat you've got no business getting a push. This has been a good, fun feud though and I'll be kinda sorry to see it end.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Cage Classic Match for the DPW Deuces Wild Tag Team Titles</p><p>

Jawbreaker © vs <strong>Ladies Reborn (Charity Dark and Sandra Shine)</strong></p><p>

<em>I'm not confident about this one but I think that Jawbreaker's run at the top has been slightly diminished, through no fault of their own, by a lack of credible challengers. Ladies Reborn are genuinely a bit unsettling and I think that a change here could be in the interest of both these teams long-term. Sandra Shine can definitely work too.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<p>Chapter 24 Interlude: Meeting of the Minds</p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><span>http://i.imgur.com/1Hyvuq0.jpg</span></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Do you think she’ll show?” Kate Avatar nervously taps her fingernails on a large mahogany table as she sits across from the owner of QAW in the windowed conference room of a downtown Houston office building.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><span>http://i.imgur.com/u9FJZlh.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Farrah Hesketh turns to Kate and sighs, “She’ll show. She never wastes a chance to tell me how worthless I am.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><span>http://i.imgur.com/YpSV1r3.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

At that moment, the doors to conference room burst open and Catherine Quine walks through. The owner of AAA takes one look at Hell Cat and her face instantly turns red, “What the hell is she doing here?!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Catherine, just calm down,” Farrah rises to her feet and quickly goes over to Catherine to keep the 45-year-old woman from leaving before the planned meeting can even begin.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Cathy, I’m not exactly thrilled with being in the same zip code as you, but I wouldn’t be here unless this was serious,” Kate tries to mask her hatred for the owner of AAA, but the instinctual balling of her fists speaks volumes. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Farrah, attempting to play peacemaker, places herself between the two women as Avatar edges towards standing up in a move that would assuredly escalate the tension in the room, “Hey, we have a real problem on our hands that needs to be addressed! NOTBPW and USPW are at war, with each other and SWF. The only differentiator they have is their Women’s divisions.” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“And what does that have to do with me?!” Quine remains indignant, tapping her foot as Hesketh tries to guide her former boss to the conference table.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Come on, they’ve already raided us once, they’ll do it again,” Kate crosses her arms as the owner of AAA continues to stare daggers at her.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“No, this time they raided </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>you</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">! In the past few years, I've lost my sister, Joanne Rodriguez, Sara Marie York, Nadia Snow, Demelza Wade, you didn't see me crying like some whiny little baby!” Catherine thrusts her finger towards Hell Cat and then turns to Farrah with a look of disgust on her face, “I can’t believe you made me come 2,000 miles to be in the same room with </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>that</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Hesketh takes in one long breath before losing her cool, “Damn it, Catherine! Can’t you put aside your petty bullshit to see we’re in real trouble here?! Who do you think NOTBPW and USPW are going to go after next?! Gorgon and Alicia Strong, that’s who! And what will both of our main events look like when that happens?!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The tapping of Quine’s foot stops for a moment, but her scowl remains permanently etched across her face, “Fine, I’m listening.” Farrah offers Catherine a seat, but the owner of AAA waves this gesture away, “I’ll remain standing, thank you.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Hesketh rolls her eyes and picks up a packet of papers from the conference table, “The only way we’ll be able to survive the war between USPW and NOTBPW is if we band together.” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Quine’s eyebrows perk up as she flips through the printed out presentation, “An alliance?”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Think about. The three of our companies together, we'd have coverage in over 30 million homes. Imagine the leverage we could get, the events we could hold,” Farrah nods to Kate, who takes over.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“You would run the North West, me California and Nevada, and Farrah Texas. We would share the same main eventers, giving them combined payouts that can rival what the national companies could offer them. Then we each have our own midcard and tag team scenes to develop new workers in the pipeline to see who rises to the top.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“I want California,” Quine barely looks up as she finishes going through the presentation packet.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Farrah and Kate look at each other, knowing that this demand is a non-starter. Avatar has to bite her tongue in order to keep from cursing as she offer her retort, “Cathy, you know that doesn’t make sense. We each need to have equal territories in order to make this work.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Quine shakes her head and takes a condescending tone, “From what I can tell, you're giving me the area with the lowest population and least potential, but yet AAA is the strongest of the three companies in every way.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Farrah becomes indignant from this dig at QAW, and struggles to keep her cool once again, “Catherine…don’t you understand? AAA is as much at risk from this as we are. Hell, you’ve lost before. The only reason AAA is even still around is because of Kate. If we don’t do this, if we don’t stop trying to kill each other, all of us could go under.” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“No,” Catherine gives Hesketh a single wag from her finger, “AAA will survive, like we always have. You want to know why AAA has been around longer than any other All-Women’s promotion in North America? It’s because we rely on more than good looks and spot monkeys. We trust in wrestling, in skill, in actually being good in the ring. Sure BSC rose up, but we all know what happened there,” Quine shoots a look at Kate before turning back to Farrah, “QAW has risen up, but…well, I’ve seen the articles.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Catherine,” Hesketh searches for anything else she can muster to convince her former boss to join this proposed alliance, but is cut off by Quine before she can open her mouth.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“No Farrah. You brought me here because you’ve been throwing money into the ground trying to put me out of business. Now that you’re broke, you want to cry ‘no fair’ and ask for a bail out. Well, as far as I’m concerned, you can both kiss my ass,” with a quick pivot, Catherine storms out of the conference room, leaving Hell Cat alone with Farrah, who slouches down into a leather chair.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“I should have known this would be a waste of time,” Hesketh rubs her temples before pouring herself a glass of water.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Avatar sighs and picks up the packet that Quine dropped on the ground on her way out, “Forget her. We can still have a working agreement, maybe bring in 5SSW or CWWF. Then we can topple that bitch once and for all.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Farrah takes a long, contemplative pause before responding, “I’m sorry Kate, without AAA, this just doesn’t work. QAW is going to have to batten down the hatches, and if that means we have to take you out to survive, then that’s what we’re going to do.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Hesketh rises from the conference table and slowly heads out of the room. Hell Kate thinks about the money she wasted flying here from Las Vegas, and then throws the presentation packet in her hand clear across the room.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><p></p>
