<p>Aw yeah! Love the heel turn. I figured it was going to happen eventually, but the new feud between Claire and Thea was a great distraction. For a moment I thought you were saving it for later. </p><p> </p><p>

On the other hand, did Laura turn face now, or just hinted at it? There was such a lack of heelish behaviour... If so, the relation with Claire could become interesting down the line.</p><p> </p><p>

Nice development, as usual I'm looking forward to see what happens next.</p><p> </p><p>

Edit: Oh wait. Claire is turning as well, isn't she? Thea is such a heel, Claire is going to look like an angel in comparison...</p>

The original plan was for her to win the 2017 Venus tournament and attack Simony afterwards, but I like the way this played out much better. The only hesitation I had was that Maria's stat for playing a heel starts out at 'Weak,' but this turn actually went so well that it already bumped that up to 'Average.'</p><p> </p><p> Laura is still nominally a heel, but I like to think she's organically become a bit of a tweener. She still says and does all the same things (minus the cheating) she did as a pure heel, but the crowd cheers for her because of her great performances and mic work. Somehow she has developed so much that she is listed higher than Phil Vibert on the 'Talk the Talk' section now.</p><p> </p><p> Claire is a different situation as she is kind of riding Laura's coattails now, so we'll see how that plays out. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Hell Cat’s spirits have been lifted in recent days by the news that NOTBPW would be filling the open roster spot in their Women’s division by signing CWWF World Champion Sally Anne Christianson. With Victoria Stone-McFly having replaced Jaime Quine with this acquisition, Kate is relieved that she no longer has to worry about NOTBPW’s head booker poaching any of DPW’s talent. To relax, Avatar scrolls through Marilyn Stardust’s book about BSC until she lands on the chapter titled “The Fallen Angels vs The Angels of Mercy.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41787" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="margin-left:25px;">No single storyline was more responsible for the success of Babes of Sin City than the fight between the Fallen Angels (Kate Avatar, Amber Allen, and Alicia Strong) and the Angels of Mercy (Joanne Rodriguez, Jaime Quine, and Talia Quinzel). Not only did this feud produce great matches and last for nearly a year, it lent credibility to a company that was previously seen as a little more than a strip show in the guise of wrestling. Having three of the top female wrestlers in the world in Rodriguez, Quine, and Strong involved certainly helped, but credit must be given where credit is due; the whole thing was my idea.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Despite what Kate Avatar might say, I began laying the groundwork for this feud when Jaime Quine was hired by BSC in June of 2010. At the time, few people knew of her disdain for her step-sister like I did, which meant we could use Jaime as a surrogate for every disparaging word Catherine Quine ever said about us. Of course, we brought in Jaime as a face, but that was only to get her established with our audience.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The feud began with Sara Silver “hiring” Joanne Rodriguez at the end of 2010 to take out Kate Avatar after the Ladies of the Night failed in this mission. Over the next few months, Joanne fought against Kate, finally goading Avatar into putting her stake in the company on the line in a loser leaves town match. That night saw the formation of Honey’s Angels, with Jaime turning heel to help Rodriguez defeat Kate. That was only the appetizer as we then revealed that BSC’s owner, Honey Golightly, was behind the whole scheme in an attempt to regain control of the company from Hell Cat.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Talia Quinzel would round out this trio of well-known AAA stars. Stuck in the horrible masked gimmick of The Amazon, I rescued Talia by nudging Kate to include her in the storyline as the group’s enforcer. Amber was a natural fit after Jaime outed her in the Catherine Quine inspired “Abomination” promo, and of course video of Avatar busting open Jaime’s step-sister the hard way is still popular on the Internet to this day.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The struggle between these two sides would continue through September 2012, when Joanne’s obsession with keeping her recently won Queen of the Ring belt caused her to end the Angels of Mercy by attacking Jaime, the new number one contender to the title. At the same time, Alicia turned her anger at no longer being champion on Amber and Kate, effectively ending the Fallen Angels as well. After a long and winding road, the Angels of Mercy would reunite, this time as faces, at 2014's All In III in the greatest moment in BSC’s history, while Alicia and Amber would go on to create new factions of their own. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Overall, the Fallen Angels versus the Angels of Mercy feud is the one thing that I am most proud of from my career in the bizarre world of wrestling, and no one can take that away from me. Attendance during this time more than doubled, and we laid the groundwork for the storylines that would carry us through the next two years. This adds another wrestler to Richie Eisen’s menagerie, joining the just signed Trent Shaffer from USPW. Of course, with all these new talented workers on the roster, SWF totally went out of the box and put the belt back on Jack Bruce, for what, the ten millionth time?! “Oh, it really is a dream come true. Like you said, I got my start in BSC, and just to think of the women who have held this belt…I remember thinking I would never get to this level, that the best I could hope for was the High Roller title. There is a slight pause on the other end of the phone before Laura speaks, “It was…good. “I see. As I mentioned in this introduction, John is your adoptive father. What was it like growing up with him?”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“You know, I owe John everything. He took me in when my parents died…he didn’t have to, but he was friends with my father and I would have gone right into foster care if it wasn’t for him stepping in. I spent my childhood traveling the US, going with him from independent show to independent show. I think I learned to take a back body drop when I was six,” Laura lets out a small laugh, “When he got signed by WLW in 2005, I stayed behind in the US to finish school, but after I graduated I joined him in Japan to finish my training.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“The past few months have seen a big shake up in the Women’s divisions of NOTBPW and USPW. First, Alicia Strong and Killer Kass got the big boot from Reverie-land, then Jaime Quine jumped shipped from the Stones’ personal fiefdom to USPW. Now, my sources tell me Demelza Wade has agreed to leave AAA and QAW for big paychecks signed by Allen Packer. “I think it’s just a sign that Women’s wrestling is coming up in North America. You look at what 5SSW is doing in Japan, they put on shows just as good as any other promotion there. Their fans don’t say it’s good wrestling for women, they say it’s good wrestling period. Laura clears her throat, caught a little off-guard by the question, “I’m still early in my career, but obviously at some point you have to think about what a bigger stage can do for you. “It should be a great match, I’ll tell you that. Amber has been Queen of the Ring before, hell, I’m where I am today because of what she helped build. Emiko puts on a decent performance as she flies around the ring in displays of agility, while Gypsy lags behind the rest, still learning the craft at the age of seventeen.

Overall, the match is hurt by the inability of the participants to create a consistent flow to the action, which impairs the drama involved. Emiko ends the proceedings by hitting Rose with the Miyoshi Cradle (hurricanrana into a small package) for the pin.

Pre-Show Dark Match #2: Hoshiko Tagawa vs Kaori Mochizuki

Hoshiko Tagawa finally makes her debut in DPW, but the highly touted rookie does little to show why she has earned so much hype from Phil Vibert. Perhaps it is nerves from having her first match in a strange country, but at least Kaori is there to carry Tagawa to a decent match.

Hoshiko does demonstrate a technical prowess beyond her years as she grounds the much larger Kaori with a series of takedowns and leg holds. Unfortunately for the very small Tagawa, it only takes one opening for her middleweight opponent to connect with the Ichihara Plunge (jack-knife powerbomb) for the win.

Show Opening:

The first beats of

pulse throughout the theater and the crowd responds with a loud pop. Kate Avatar walks out onto the stage with her head down, almost as if in a bowing position. While most of the audience still cheers, some of the fans begin to catch on that something is not quite right about the person on the stage.

This suspicion becomes justified when the figure lifts up her head to reveal she is really Emma Bitch, dressed in Kate’s ring gear and wearing a red wig. A wide smile grows on Emma’s face as the cheers turn to even louder boos. “God damn, all of you are dumb!” she screams.

Bitch pauses to give the crowd an opportunity to rain down more hate upon her, “Oh yeah, I’m just the worst person in the world, aren’t I?” The fans respond loudly in the affirmative, “Well, you know what, that’s the difference between me and you. When you get screwed over at work, when your boss treats you like shit, when you come home from a long day and all you get is your kids whining and crying at you, you just take it! Well not me! I do something about it!”

Emma waits another moment, knowing that she now has the audience fully wrapped around her finger, “Tonight I get my revenge! Tonight I get what I deserve for having my career stolen from me! Dark Phoenix Wrestling will be mine, and when it is, I’ll see that none of you will ever be allowed into another show again!”

The hot crowd sounds three hundred strong as they respond with jeers, “Now, at the last moment, Kate wants to go and change the rules. She’s saying that anyone who interferes in our match will be fired on the spot. Well Kate, if that’s the only trick you’ve got up your sleeve, then I’ve got a surprise for you, and you’ll never even see it coming.” Bitch’s trademark sneer becomes even more pronounced as she drops her microphone and heads backstage to a chorus of boos.

Match #1: Jawbreaker © vs Velvet Revolución – 2 out of 3 Falls (Lucha Libre Rules) for the DPW Deuces Wild Tag Team Titles

Killer Kathy McMahon and Velvet Suarez begin the match facing off against each other, with a very adamant fan taking the opportunity to prominently display a 'Push Velvet' sign in full view of the camera.

To Jawbreaker’s credit, the tag team appears to have done their homework on the Lucha Libre stipulation, as Ariel and Kathy seamlessly switch in and out of the match after one of them rolls to the theater floor. Still, Breaks and McMahon are no match for Velvet Revolución’s well-oiled teamwork.

Five minutes into the match, Velvet manages to take down Ariel with flying head scissors, then knocks Kathy off of the ring apron with a dropkick. Instead of going back to her corner, Suarez simply slides under the ropes to the theater floor, making Ursula the legal woman. The Mayan Mauler immediately enters the ring and picks up Breaks for the Saez Splitter. The Mexican brawler slams Ariel into the mat and covers her to gain the first fall for her team.

Ariel rolls to the theater floor, to recover and Kathy climbs through the ropes to face Velvet once again. McMahon quickly shows that she has no intention of surrendering the tag titles so easily, striking the purple clad luchadora with all her might. Each time Suarez tries to escape the ring, Kathy cuts her off and takes Velvet down with another hard elbow to the head.

Ursula reaches out to her partner to tag in, but Ariel sneaks behind her and pulls Saez down to the floor. Before the Mayan Mauler can respond, Breaks tosses her shoulder first into the ring post. In the ring, Suarez staggers to her feet, but turns around into the Glittering Jawbreaker and Kathy covers Velvet to even the score.

Ursula gets to her feet favoring her shoulder, and slides into the ring to replace Velvet as the legal woman in the match. Kathy wastes no time throwing Saez back over the top rope, and Ariel grabs the Mayan Mauler for a suplex onto the theater floor. While Ursula writhes in pain, Velvet reluctantly climbs through the ropes to face off against McMahon.

As Kathy brawls with Suarez, Ariel wisely rolls the wounded Saez into the ring and nods at her tag team partner. McMahon acknowledges the signal and clotheslines Velvet back to the theater floor, making Ursula the legal woman again. Barely able to defend herself, Saez slowly gets to her feet, but is picked up by Ariel and then hit from behind with double knees from McMahon for Glitter Fall.

Velvet tries to rush to her tag team partner’s aid, but it is too late as Kathy covers Ursula for the pin, culminating another top notch performance from Jawbreaker.

As Ariel and Kathy celebrate their victory in the ring, the video screen cuts to footage from backstage. Polly Amorous is bending over to stretch, which gives the camera the perfect angle to zoom in on her backside. Glorious Gloria walks in front of the shot, forcing the cameraman to end his ogling.

“Unbelievable,” Gloria turns to Polly with a look of disgust on her face, “you’re like a bad STD, you just won’t go away.”

Polly finishes touching her toes and slows rises back up, “I really don’t know what your problem with me is, Gloria. You used to do bodybuilding competitions. You’d wear outfits just as skimpy as mine as part of that. I don’t see how what I do is any different.”

The former bodybuilder scoffs in disbelief as her fists start to shake with anger, “You think having sex on film is the same as trying to become Miss Olympia?! Bodybuilding treats the female body like a work of art, your videos turn women into pieces of meat.”

Polly breaks out of her usual happy-go-lucky mood and points her finger directly into Gloria’s sternum, “You know Gloria, I think you’re just jealous, jealous that I am more comfortable with my body than you’ll ever be. You say that getting up in front of a big crowd in a bikini and flexing your muscles makes you a hero, but what I do makes me trash? I dare you to face me in a bikini contest tonight, and we’ll let the crowd decide who the real piece of art is.”

Amorous walks off in a huff, while Gloria continues to glower at Polly as she goes.

Match #2: Claire Winters vs Thea Davis

Back in the theater, Claire Winters stands across from Thea Davis as the referee calls for the bell. Before Davis can strike, Winters takes off her half-finger grappling gloves and cracks her knuckles. Thea shows a trace of fear on her face, which gives the Ice Woman the chance to connect with a hard right hand.

Despite both women being nominally heels, the crowd’s visceral hatred for Thea leads them to cheer for Claire, especially as the Ice Woman lands with an impressive series strikes that leave a battered Davis reeling. In an attempt to stave off defeat, the Englishwoman slaps Claire hard across the face, to which the crowd responds with a chant of “You f*cked up! You f*cked up!”

Winters tries to follow up with a spinning heel kick, but blinded by anger, she misses badly, leaving an opening for Thea to use her athleticism to change the momentum of the match. In the process, Davis shows off her well-rounded skillset, hitting Claire with a kick to the stomach, then a suplex, and finally a flying elbow from the top rope.

The back and forth action continues for another nine minutes, with neither woman able gain the upper hand until Winters dodges a dropkick and takes down Davis with a leg sweep. Claire climbs onto Thea’s back and locks in the Ice Breaker. Davis looks like she will tap out, but in one last burst, just manages to reach out with her free hand and grab the bottom rope.

The referee calls for the break, but Claire keeps the hold on tight. Right before the referee counts to five for the disqualification, Winters relents and lets Thea go. Davis crawls to a corner, grabbing her arm in pain. The Ice Woman moves in to continue doling out punishment, but the referee stops Claire to admonish her for not listening to his directions.

Winters rolls her eyes and then goes to grab Thea by the hair, but Davis has been playing coy, and quickly rolls up a surprised Claire. Grabbing a handful of tights and with her feet on the ropes, Thea lets out a squeal of joy as the referee slaps the mat for the third time.

Winner via Pinfall: Thea Davis

Match Rating: D

Thea jumps up and down in celebration of her victory, until she takes one look at an enraged Claire. Wisely, Davis hightails it out of the ring, with Winters not far behind. The two women disappear backstage without Claire catching Thea, much to the crowd’s disappointment.

Highlights of Maria coming to Simony’s rescue against Kate Avatar and Deborah Young are followed by shots of Guest raising Sentinel’s hand after the latter won the first ever Venus Tournament to become Queen of the Ring. The video then cuts to Simony and Maria fighting side-by-side against Fire N Ice, only to shift to the former tag team partners brawling on top of the ladder at Unwanted Gifts as the music reaches a crescendo.

“Now enemies…”

The replay from Fire Within is shown, and the crowd in the theater boos when Maria smashes a chair over Simony’s head. The beat down is played in full before the screen goes black.

plays and Maria Guest walks out onto the stage dressed in new gold tinged ring attire. Maria stretches out her arms to welcome the boos that cascade down from the crowd.

“All of you can shut up now because I have something to say!” The fans continue to boo so Guest attempts to talk over the hate, “At Fire Within, I cost Simony Sentinel the only thing she really cares about. The moment I hit her in the head with that chair felt sooooooo good, because I knew then that she wouldn’t be Queen of the Ring again. Simony loves that title, more than she ever loved me, but she got what she deserved!”

Maria reaches the ring apron with a twisted smile on her face as fans jeer her further, “I’m tired of carrying her, I’m the star! Tonight, I will beat that wilting Violet because now is my time to shine!”

The crowd erupts as Simony Sentinel appears from backstage, much to Maria’s visible displeasure. The Violent Violet looks downward at the microphone in her right hand before she begins to speak.

“Maria, I thought we would never come to this. We were like sisters, but you threw that away, for what? Yes, you cost me the Queen of the Ring title, but you lost more than that. I would have done anything for you, but now all I feel is sorry...sorry for what you've become. You think by casting me aside you’re going to make yourself a star? All that is going to do is leave you alone.”

Simony walks down the ramp and looks up from her microphone for the first time with fire in her eyes, “But if it’s a fight you want, then it’s a fight you’re going to get! There’s a reason I’m called the Violent Violet, and now you’re going to find out why!”

Sentinel tosses the microphone aside and begins jawing with Maria from the theater floor while referee Gregory Chapman urges Simony to get in the ring so the match can start.

Match #3: Maria Guest vs Simony Sentinel

As Maria and Simony go through the first sequence of counters, it becomes clear that there is a slight awkwardness in their movements. This is not due to a lack of chemistry between the two, but rather Sentinel being off her game at the prospect of having to face her long-time tag team partner, while Guest is not yet fully comfortable in her role as a heel.

Despite this, the heat from the crowd more than makes up for anything lacking in the ring, with the fans firmly behind the Violent Violet as she takes down Maria with a dropkick.

The audience chants switch from “Oooooohh Simony, yoooooooou’re my one and only!” to “Hey Simony, I wanna knoooowww if you’ll be my girl!” as the action rolls along.

Ten minutes in, the battle remains even until Simony takes down Maria with an enziguri. The Violent Violet points at the top turnbuckle to a pop, and goes for the Sentinel Strike, only for Guest to roll out of the way at the last second.

Simony slams chest first into the mat while Maria gets back to her feet. Guest moves her hand up and down, calling for Sentinel to get up, and when the Violent Violet does, the blonde charges to connect with a vicious spear. With a smile plastered across her face, Maria lazily lays her back across her former tag team partner for the cover…

…but Simony kicks out to loud cheers.

Guest slaps the mat in anger, demonstrating to the referee how to count faster. Maria walks over to pick Simony off of the mat, but Sentinel responds with an elbow to her opponent’s stomach. Simony gets up and then bounces off of the ropes for UltraViolet, but Maria recovers in time to grab the Violent Violet instead. Guest lifts Sentinel up for the package piledriver, but Simony wraps her arm around the back of the blonde’s neck and counters into a DDT.

Simony runs back to the ropes as Maria staggers to her feet. Sentinel connects with UltraViolet this time, and the audience counts along as the referee hits the mat 1 – 2 – 3 for the pin.

Selling her exhaustion, Sentinel slowly gets back to her feet and weakly lifts her arm up in victory. With a look of mourning on her face, Simony glances at her former best friend before rolling under the ropes to the theater floor. Once Maria regains her senses, she pulls her hair out in frustration as she watches Simony celebrate her victory with the fans on her way backstage.

OOC: I decided to break this show up into two parts, as all together this will end up at arond 7,000 words. The second half is nearly ready, and then it just needs to be formatted and proofread, so it should be up by the end of Friday PST. Plus, Maria vs Simony feels like a natural top of the hour main event and this will give a little breather before the craziness that is to come.

The fans roar their approval as Phil makes his way to the ring with microphone in hand, “How about we give it up to Simony and Maria again for a tremendous match?” Vibert climbs through the ropes and claps his hands together, but the crowd continues to repeat “DAVE! DAVE!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Come on guys, it’s been over ten years,” Phil’s admonishment does not deter the crowd from their chant, so Vibert waits it out while checking his watch. Once the cheers have died down, Vibert holds up his microphone again, “The real reason I am out here is that tonight’s main event is the most dangerous, the most violent, the most extreme match ever conceived.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

This statement triggers another “DAVE!” chant, which Phil powers through this time, “Tonight, Kate Avatar and Emma Bitch will face off in Thunder Dome, a steel structure wrapped in barbed wire. Only a few men have ever fought in this match, and none of them walked out the same. Polly smiles as she skips down the ramp, her fan club howling at the skin she is showing them. Amorous enters the ring and snuggles up next to Phil, “Mr. Vibert, me and Gloria are going to have a bikini contest, and since you’re already out here, I figure you should host it!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The former owner of DAVE looks unsure at first, despite the crowd urging him to say yes. After another moment of hesitation, Phil holds up his microphone, “Sure…why not? My wife’s already divorced me.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Phil instructs the two women to stand on either side of him before beginning the proceedings, “Alright ladies and gentlemen, this is a special treat, the first ever…and maybe last ever, bikini contest in DPW.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Most of their crowd voice their approval as Vibert tells Polly to go first. Amorous obliges, going to each corner of the ring to shake every bit of her body for the fans. The audience responds with the expected cheers, which only increases Gloria’s anger further.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Polly finishes and returns to Phil’s side, giving Vibert a kiss on the cheek that makes the middle-aged man blush. Gloria rolls her eyes before stepping to the forefront to show off her muscles. The former bodybuilder does several poses straight out of the competition playbook, and to Gloria’s surprise, she actually receives some applause.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Gloria returns to her place next to Vibert and the former owner of DAVE holds up his microphone, “Okay, you’ve definitely seen what they’ve got. Now it’s time to decide, who is the winner?”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Phil puts his hand over Polly’s head, and Amorous receives loud cheers. Vibert then does the same to Gloria, and the former bodybuilder receives some support, but not nearly as much as Polly.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“You winner, Polly Amor…” Phil’s declaration is interrupted as an enraged Gloria blindsides Amorous. Vibert decides to exit the ring as Polly goes sprawling across the mat.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Referee Gregory Chapman sprints to the ring and calls for the bell, but Gloria has already mounted Polly to rain down punches on the adult film star. The baby oil Gloria is drenched in works against her, as Amorous is able to slip away and mount an offensive attack of her own.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

A very vocal majority of the crowd can not get enough of the titillating action, even though the ridiculousness of the proceedings gives the fans a needed breather before the final two matches of the evening.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Polly’s spot monkey style of wrestling seems to benefit her in this type of setting, with the audience overlooking the occasional botch in favor of further displays of eye candy. Gloria plays the perfect foil, acting with utter disgust each time Amorous grinds against her as a form of attack. This includes the former bodybuilder yelling out a stream of curses after Polly dropkicks her into a corner and follows up with a Bronco Buster that lasts for nearly a minute.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Gloria finally manages to escape this humiliation by rolling under the ropes, and grabs the beer of a fan in the front row to wash out her mouth. Polly takes the opportunity to go to the top rope and leaps for a flying cross body, causing the two women to skid across the theater floor.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The former bodybuilder gets the best of this exchange outside the ring, landing a hard right that sends Amorous reeling. Gloria throws Polly back into the ring and tries to put the adult film star in the Glorious Full Nelson, but Amorous is able to worm out of the hold thanks to the baby oil she is now covered in.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Letting out a primal scream born out of frustration, Gloria grabs Polly’s bikini top and tears the thin piece of polyester right off. The cheers from the crowd grow with the mention of each name before Laura continues, “You like that? You should, because that’s a who’s who of the greatest wrestlers in the world. This nuanced change in the dynamic between Laura and her opponent throws Flame off of her game, but the Queen of the Ring still puts on a performance worthy of being called champion.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Despite some of the fans booing her offense at the start of the match, Allen manages to steal the show with her tremendous technical skill and mastery of in-ring psychology. Laura’s athleticism assists in this endeavor, and the two wrestlers battle evenly for an exciting ten minutes that gets the crowd buzzing.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

While Amber and Laura stop their match to observe the tussle, Winters and Thea roll back to the theater floor, trading punches as they go.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Flame looks on with an expression of amusement as Claire bludgeons Thea with a barrage of punches. This changes, though, when Davis manages to grab hold of a nearby drink and throws the liquid in Winters’ face. The brief distraction serves as enough of an opening for Davis to get to her feet, but just as the Englishwoman grabs a steel chair to strike Claire, Laura sprints to the floor and connects with a Flame Fire Kick to Thea’s jaw.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Security personnel flood into the theater as a casino manager directs them to separate Claire and Thea. Several large men drag a kicking and screaming Winters out of the theater to eject her from the casino, while the manager orders the rest to lock Davis in a room somewhere backstage.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

With this melee resolved, Laura steps back into the ring, only for Amber to immediately blindside her in an act of poor sportsmanship. Allen picks Flame up for a Northern Lights Suplex and holds on for the bridge, 1 – 2 – but Laura gets her shoulder up right before the count of three.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The crowd pops at Flame’s resiliency, while Amber quietly shakes her head before looking to lock in the Am-bar. As Allen bends down to slap on the hold, Laura rocks backwards on her shoulders and pops her legs up from the mat to hit her opponent in the head with a kick. Avatar lands the first blow, a stiff right hand that causes Emma to drop her baseball bat and stagger backwards. Emma checks her brow for any blood, shooting a look of confusion at Kate. Hell Cat puts her arms to her sides and walks towards Bitch. “Hit me!” Kate yells as loud as she can. Bitch hesitates at first then throws a right into Hell Cat’s jaw. Kate responds with a twisted smile and yells again, “Is that all you got?! I said hit me!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Emma rears back and unloads a punch straight to Kate’s temple. Hell Cat nods as if enjoying the pain, then responds by hooking her arms with her opponent’s and head-butting Emma over and over again until they are both busted open.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Kate tries to scoop Emma up for the Dark Phoenix Driver, but Bitch pushes Avatar away. “That’s how it’s going to be?! That’s how you want it?!” Emma screams at Hell Cat as Bitch’s demeanor changes to match her opponent’s visible anger. Bitch charges at Kate and they exchange blows as they roll out of the ring in a mass of flying fists and elbows.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Both wrestlers are a bloody mess as they take turns slamming each other into dome structure. The steel rattles but stays together as Emma pushes Kate into a post covered in barbed wire. Hell Cat lets out a yelp and pulls away to reveal fresh cuts across her back. Bitch wastes no time in following up and lifts Kate onto her shoulders, dangerously tossing Avatar into a steel beam with the Payback Slam. Kate’s knees whip into the structure and she falls into a heap on the theater floor.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

A wide smile replaces Emma’s usual sneer as she lifts her arms up to boos from fans. “Get ready to count,” Bitch yells at the referee before she covers Avatar.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Seventeen minutes into the match, another smile comes across Emma’s face as Thea Davis runs into the theater from backstage. “No room can hold me!” Thea screams to mock the guards that expelled her earlier. Before Emma can push open the door, Kate tackles her from behind and the two of them spill out at the feet of the fans in the front row. Thea runs into the ring and retrieves the razor wire wrapped baseball bat, returning to the brawl to hand the weapon to Emma. With one crack to the head, Bitch sends Kate crumpling to the floor.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Instead of pinning Hell Cat, Emma drops Kate with another Payback Slam and then orders Thea to retrieve something from under the ring. Davis returns pulling a table behind her, which Bitch starts setting up while Thea makes two more trips, coming back with another table each time. On the third trip, Davis also has a gas can and utility lighter in her right hand.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Thea helps Emma form the three unfolded tables into a pyramid and then douses the wood with gasoline as Kate starts to get back to her feet. “Look Kate, I think this is really doing you a favor. I appreciate you wanting me to be Queen of the Ring again, but the crowd hasn’t taken to me like we both wanted. With a guttural scream, Hell Cat knocks everything off her desk and then kicks over her chair. Kate goes back to her desk and flips it over before attacking her cot. She rips the booking plans down from the walls and tears up the paper into a blizzard of white fragments. Punching the concrete walls until her hands hurt, Kate falls into a heap on the floor and lets out another scream born of rage.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I am in January 2019 in the playthrough now, and there has been a divergence in the strategies of NOTBPW and USPW when it comes to their Women's division, but NOTBPW is definitely winning so far. Hopefully, I will do a good enough job of weaving this shifting landscape in.

That is interesting. I was wondering how much of a random aspect goes into the excursions, so it sounds like quite a bit. Hoshiko kicked around Japan for a year before finally expanding her work area to the US and Canada, and luckily I shortlisted her when she debuted so I didn't miss that chance.

Thanks and welcome to the party! It's funny, after playing BSC in TEW2010, I feel the same way about the male side of the CVerse (thought reading the dynasties here is helping to educate me). I actually started TEW2016 with an ACPW playthrough, but quickly lost interest because I'm too attached to the women wrestlers. I hope you continue to enjoy!
