Thinking of doing a RW dynasty, what is the best/easiest image hoster to use?

Most people, myself included, use imgur. Especially since imgur allows you to copy/paste the bbcode from your images so you dont have to fiddle with typing out the [ img] tag yourself

Pleased to announce my first diary since Shane McMahon's WCW back in 2016. It's going to be me learning how to use TEW 2020 along with some self-indulgent angle/match writing, all while trying to steer the McDonalds of wrestling. Managed to convert the database and successfully book my first show but it'll probably be a couple of weeks before the diary goes live -- I do like to build up a little bit of a backlog.

WWE 2018: MONOPOLY MATTERS by blaustein

"Seventeen years ago, World Wrestling Entertainment vanquished its biggest opposition with the purchase of WCW. For a generation and around the world, WWE is wrestling -- this publicly-listed company has built multiple brands of content, a world-class development system and its own streaming platform. Every year, hundreds of thousands of tickets are sold to Wrestlemania week events, and rights to broadcast Raw and Smackdown Live are more valuable than ever. No other wrestling promotion has the exposure, infrastructure and sheer finances to challenge them on a global scale.

But something is wrong. WWE have amassed one of the deepest talent rosters in history yet haven’t produced a break-out star in over a decade. It leans more heavily than ever on yesterday’s stars for ever-diminishing returns while its brightest developmental prospects flounder on the big stage. With five weekly shows its reach has never been greater, but the programming is homogenous and stale; the writing shallow and nonsensical. The promotion is too big to fail and yet struggles to attract fresh new fans.

WWE is a victim of its own success. The man with most claim to its rise and stagnation is Vince McMahon -- when WCW was at its peak and his company’s future uncertain, his vision and willingness to embrace change and invest in new stars heralded the Attitude Era, Stone Cold, The Rock and more. Yet increasingly in 2018, it’s Vince’s inability to evolve to modern tastes and constant micro-management that are holding WWE back from critical if not commercial success.

In January 2018, competition arose -- not for WWE, but for McMahon’s attention. With the announcement of a relaunched XFL kicking off in early 2020, more of Vince’s time, money and energy are going into restarting the league and avoiding the failure of its 2001 incarnation. Though still majority owner and CEO of WWE, Vince has placed the long term creative direction of his promotion in the hands of Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, his son-in-law and senior producer of NXT.

How much WWE will truly change and what that might look like is yet to be seen, but first in Paul’s in-tray is steering the promotion through its biggest show of the year, Wrestlemania. With fourteen matches announced and seven days to go, this week’s Raw and Smackdown will present the final build to the event."

I have 2 diaries running already, and got an idea for a third. Essentially running the "DC Universe" with 6 to 8, 30 minute, TV shows. At the moment it's Gotham, Metropolis, Teen Titans, Acropolis (Wonder Woman and Aquaman), Lightning Bolt (Green Arrow and The Flash) and the JSA. Watchmen is a possibility. With big crossover events happening every once in a while as Justice League events. How would be the best way to go about this? Posting all the shows as a block? One show a day? And full write ups for shows and stuff? Or more about the thought process?

Introducing my first diary: NYCW - East Coast Resurgence

After the shock retirement of Larry Vessey, Steve Flash has teamed up with former DAVE & USPW legend, "The Hardcore American" Chris Caulfield to take NYCW in a radical new direction. Pledging to shed the company's reputation as a retirement home for independent journeymen and introduce a new emphasis on work rate with plenty of hard hitting action. Flash & Caulfield have also pledged to shine a brighter spotlight on local talent.

The diary will start in January 2020 and track the company's product transition from "Golden Age Pro Wrestling" to "Attitude Entertainment" and beyond.

DISCLAIMER: This is my first ever diary so will likely encounter teething problems along the way, particularly that I've never booked a product quite like this before, but seeing as this is Caulfield's first time booking a company too, we'll roll with the mistakes and see how it goes!

A Shameless Plug

Thought I would take this time to shamelessly plug my diary Great British Wrestling lol

Our latest results are up. You can see them here: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2444412&postcount=167

Here's a little preview:

Backstage Angle: Eddie And Gerald.

The children watching our show were happy and joyful, their little faces full of wonder. We decided to put an end to all that by giving Eddie Vega screen time. The creepy, psychotic clown cut a backstage promo that Stephen King would've been proud of, declaring war on Bailey, Slater, The Prestige... everyone who hurt his muse Jokey.

"My father Thorsten Vega was a professional clown. Even when not in make-up people would mock him, belittle him, spit at him. They did this to him every day in front of his own family. More fool them. For one day the ritual humiliation became too much, and a great awakening happened. He saw how small and weak and soul-less these fools were. He saw them for what they were: prey. And in that moment he became the predator.

He would creep in to their houses at night, watching them as they slept. He ate their food. He wore their clothes. He drove their cars. He discovered all their secrets. The people of the town suspected my father was preying upon them but could never prove it. But they had smelled his hot breath upon their skin in their slumber. They had heard the sound of his feet as their floor-boards creaked beneath him. They could hear his laughter in their waking nightmares. And they laughed at him no more.

To the glassy-eyed, mindless rodents that denied me of my muse Jokey, I swear I shall do the same. I shall follow your every move. I shall know every vice, every weakness, every fear you hold so deep within you. I shall creep upon you like goosebumps upon your skin. And one by one I shall take you down. The light of my life was taken away by your violence, plunging my world into darkness. And it is with triumphant laughter that I shall bring this darkness into your lives. I will wait until you are vulnerable. I will wait until you are defenseless. And then, as my father did, I shall strike you down."

The scene faded to black as Vega's pet lion Gerald noisily ripped apart flesh from bone. The scene cut with the image of the lion's massive, blood-covered fangs gnawing murderously upon bones.

<p>Need some genuine advice on upcoming dynasty</p><p> </p><p>

TLDR: I'm black and want to write about black workers in a white dominated industry without upsetting anyone....or at the least the least amount of people possible...also Passion project see below.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Ok so I'm posting here before I do it not to see if I will have the viewers, but more on if I will get banned for upsetting someone....its not as bad as you probably think but here is some background first and why.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm a Black man from the largest Black community in Canada, and I'm super proud of my heritage and people. I am also an avid wrestling fan since I was too young to remember. from Kamala, to Ron simmons, and harlem heat to the rock. I was always rooting for the person I recognized. But growing up as I learned about the world I started realizing some of the potrayals of Blacks in the industry were down right offensive, I always wondered. "were the black workers ok with this?" So I did my digging and the stories are pretty crappy for a lot of minorities in general in western wrestling. especially pre 90's</p><p> </p><p>

now fast forward to 2020 with the way the world is going BLM protests and people vocalizing the issues that have been going on etc ( this is wrestling dammit not CNN) </p><p>

on top of that TEW 2020 is released and a mod is released for future companies. one being the BBW Badass brothers of wrestling a 1970's a Blacksploitation style company made up of mostly Black and minority workers. I thik some of you are catching what I'm throwing but still.</p><p> </p><p>

with this dynasty I want to put the spotlight on minority workers from 70's C-verse. It would incorporate alternate stories of the wrestlers I grew up cheering for and the stuggles they have in the business and on the road but through the eyes of men and women that weren't always respected in the territories and locker rooms. But in doing so I don't want to be using offensive slurs or post content that like I mentioned previously will get me banned, but there may be the occasional risque gimmick or storyline. </p><p>

This Dynasty has the potential to stand out among the rest, I feel its different and offers a unique perspective into the lives of Workers that no one really touched on before. </p><p>

Thoughts, (Please keep it civil and not political....I'm tired lol)</p><p> </p><p>

If you want to discuss in private, obviously you can PM me.</p>

Personally I don't see there being an issue, you do the diary you want and if its interesting and has staying power people will read and follow along.

Please make sure to drop a link to it once you go live so people can take a look, a new take is always welcome in my view as it keeps things interesting and those diaries that stand out usually manage to find their own unique voice and take on the wrestling world to stand out.

On the language/risque side of things so long as the mods say your keeping to the rules I wouldn't worry about that either tbf, i've seen plenty of diaries push the limits over the years.

All the best

I always think approaching social issues is important and possible in every mode of writing, even in the diary format. Coming from a minority group myself I try to make the characters in my diary as diverse as possible, I've avoided approaching things head-on but I definitely think there's space for these topics in dynasties so long as you keep to the rules

If you're passionate about something and invested in something, whatever that may be, I think it leads to a much higher quality of output. It's also a lot easier to motivate yourself to keep going with it.

So if it means a lot to you, I'm sure you'll put a lot of effort into it and I think that'll show in the finished result.

thanks guys appreciate the feedback. Gonna get it started tonight and will post the link when I have enough content.

It's going to be different than my usual slap stick fictional super hero bashes, so I'm excited to get started. I will probably roll it out on opposite cycle of my 9000verse lol try not to burn out.

GO ACE~!

The self-proclaimed “Once in a Century Masterpiece”, Tanahashi embodies what it means to be the Ace of New Japan Pro Wrestling. After debuting for NJPW in October of 1999 he has the highest record of IWGP Heavyweight titles (8 times) and defended the title a record-breaking 11 times (dubbed the “V11”). His finisher is the majestic yet devastating High Fly Flow. Even after a hard-fought match, he likes to close out the night with a rocking air-guitar show for eager fans. Recreating the spectacle of his biggest matches, he raises his air-guitar high with energy and yells his famous “I love you!” to the crowd.

Tanahashi’s record eighth IWGP Heavyweight Championship reign came as a result of winning the 2018 G1 Climax. Having lost the IWGP Intercontinental Championship and being put on the shelf due to injury earlier in the year, Tanahashi was a dark horse but overcame Kota Ibushi to take his third G1 Climax win.

The victory put him on a collision course with IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega, at Wrestle Kingdom 13, a battle not just for the championship, but of differing philosophies when it came to pro wrestling at large. The Ace persevered and became the first competitor in history to convert a G1 Climax victory into a successful IWGP challenge at Wrestle Kindom.

Tanahashi’s joy was to be short-lived, however, as the Ace was felled by Switchblade Jay White at New Beginning in Osaka. Two months later in Madison Square Garden he was forced to submit by Zack Sabre Junior and injured his left elbow in the process. Coming back in the summer, Tanahashi looked to find a way back to the top of the company he has led for so long, and loves so dearly. His return match, a humiliating loss to Jay White, was perhaps not what the Ace would have liked. Nevertheless, he managed to rally himself to a respectable 8 points in G1 Climax 29 with an important win over the man who had injured him, Zack Sabre Jr.

After losing Chris Jericho on January 5 2020 at Wrestle Kingdom 14, Tanahashi partnered with Kota Ibushi as a tag team after Ibushi came back from influenza and was showing interest to the IWGP Tag Team Championships. On February 21, Tanahashi & Ibushi became the new Champions. It was Tanahashi’s first tag team title win in 15 years, further extending his remarkable legacy.

Would there be any interest in an AEW diary with a similar format to this awesome style used by texasranger13 for his ROH run? It'd consist of recaps of weekly television until special episodes of Dynamite (i.e. Bash at the Beach or Fyter Fest) or PPVs. Very storyline driven with not much in the way of graphics outside of the normal photos for wrestlers and belts etc.

I'd be on board with that. I was considering running an AEW diary if I lost it the spark with my MAW one and have a side save with AEW currently ongoing. I'm kind of surprised there aren't more AEW diaries on the board so I'd be following.
