General Gameplay Questions Thread

The community should probably get on this, otherwise it's better just to never use the default angles.

I've always just made my own. I always found it funny (or annoying) that 'interview' angles didn't have an interviewer. A hype segment with no interviewer is a promo.

But given the potential duration of a single game, that it's a lengthy free text field, and that people rarely go back and look at it, it just seems like an easy cut to fight the rate of data growth over time.</p>

I think lengthy matches may be over 15 minutes but it may depend on product. In Show Priority there are three options. Show Priority that it's about what you're talking about. TV order for when you have more than one tv show tapped (or Live) in the same night. And then there is Event Order, that is about the order of events based on their importance. That is what i read in the handbook too . I'm asking about this one, what's the point of this option if i can't have more than one event in a day? What am i missing?

Up.

Can someone give me an example of when the second option "event order" in the Show Priority window is used? You can't do more than one event a day in the game so i fail to see what is this option needed for.

So I'm not sure what's going on here:

All of my development workers that had previous contracts STILL have their handshake deals in place despite me having them on exclusive written contracts. To top it off, they're still working matches for the other companies, and it's been around a month and a half of game time since they've been signed. I assume that there's a new feature at play here, but I'm not sure what it is. Logic dictates that being on an exclusive written contract would keep them from working for other people.

So here's a new one... when someone's injured can you always use them in angles now? Loxley Robbins is now out for 53 days for me with concussion, yet I can still book him in angles and there isn't a little * on the Medical screen to say he's available for angles.

If this is the way the game's meant to run in 2020 that's cool, I'm not complaining, just making sure. It's actually really good to be able to book him off TV with an angle now.

Dammit, in hindsight I should've "booked on the fly" and had a post-match attack on him or something.

I mean the notice period will always be 28 days according to the hand book. and they will continue to work for the other companies until the notice has finished. Are you for sure it's been the full 28 days, if so then it might be a bug. .

Oh, gotcha! Didn't realize the notice time had been stretched so far out this time around. Looks like I actually have like one more day until that period expires lol.

As someone that almost exclusively runs small promotions, I appreciate the added time to get my titles off guys.

I think I have my head wrapped around it, but I want to make sure this is correct.

I'm making a company that is basically a MAW+ promotion, with young talent with potential, indie superstars that for whatever reason hasn't been snatched up yet, 2nd chances for some failures (Looking at you Remmy Skye) and close to retirement veterans who get a final payday before retirement.

My question is contracts. Would these be the best ways to give contracts?

Very young workers who would be sent to developmental get written, non-iron clad contracts (so they can be poached by better promotions, but be sent to developmental)

Wrestlers I plan on using a lot get written, non-ironclad contracts (So they can get poached as above)

Wrestlers I might not use as much get handshake per show deals (so they can work with other promotions)

Veterans get a mix of handshake and written contracts.

In past games I would just do short contracts, but this would work to allow companies to hire my workers whenever, correct?

Do I have to do written contracts to get notice to close storylines? This also means if a bigger promotion takes a handshake worker, they will leave immediately?

Is this the best way to go about this?

Thanks.
