TEW 2020 Small Questions Thread

Recommended Posts

I'm probably missing something very obvious but how do you write comments etc about an angle so it shows up when you go through the show recap?

I see most Youtubers do this to obviously explain what is happening, especially with freestyle angles.

I've seen that you can click on the box during the show recap and write what you want but how do you enter what you want before the show starts?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure when you're on the angle (pre show) you go onto angle writer and then commentary/auto name to write what comes up.

Perhaps someone knows of an easier way but that's the only way I know of that allows you to write it prior to the actual show

Sorry if this has been asked before; I did a quick search of this thread without any results. Does anyone have any experience values (or good enough game knowledge) how many house shows are appropriate for a company (CWA) that has monthly PPVs, one 'A' TV show and another 'B' TV show? The default three seems a bit high to me, but I don't have any idea how the game works in this regard.

I've often ran 2 or 3 and haven't seen any negative impact yet. As long as you keep house show smart booking on (which I think is on by default) then the game knows not to book people who are fatigued.

I say this I haven't booked any promotions in 2020 with a high match intensity/danger and I would assume the intensity in particular has an affect on this.

I'd say it's a bit of a toss up really, if you don't think you're earning lots from the house shows then I probably wouldn't push it and would go down to 2. At the same time from what I've seen anyway you could in theory get away with 3, just check the fatigue levels of key workers every so often.

Admittedly hopefully someone with more knowledge has done some actual tests regarding this that would help you more.

I run House Shows every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. With an A show on Monday and my monthly PPV on Friday week 4. It seems to be working well for me so far!

Question What is better over time a Performance Center or a child company for development?

Damn. Wanted to get rid of a few people after some new that came to light during the week lol

Who cares about things like innocent until proven guilty and proof? Just destroy people's lives and reputations on baseless accusations at the top of a hat because it's the cool new thing to do.

This stuff makes me sick.

On TEW 2016 you could change the 'destiny rolls' of people by maxing the in game editor of their stats and pop, saving the game and then putting their stats and pop back to normal to make them next big things. Anyone know if there's a way to do this in 2020 as so far I've had no luck

Perhaps they are limiting it to those for whom there is plenty of proof - and their conduct is very much the sort of stuff which should make you "sick".

Not, of course, that it's your business what someone does in their save game.

I'm pretty sure if you want them in tag matches together then your product has to be set to integrated.

Although I suppose two points on that, there's nothing stopping you from setting it to integrated but still essentially keeping them separate when you book. I know it's not fully ideal.

Or if you only intend to do these types of tag matches rarely you could just change the product for the show, then change it back. Again now ideal but the only way I could think of doing it.

Or book two singles matches back to back and pretend they were a tag match?

<p>What is the cut off for gaining popularity in a region. I have shows that are 30pts or more above my popularity there and they aren't gaining me any overness. I have 4 pop in my region and I just ran a 43 show and got no pop increase. It used to be 10 points or more I think in 2016. Needing 30 points or more is just plain ridiculous.</p><p> </p><p>

Also as a side question where do you see the relationships of individual workers.</p>

Has anyone tried or had success changing someone’s game status by creating a database from a saved game on the first of the month and then changing the worker’s status from left the business to active (I’m looking at you Champagne Lover) and starting a new save within that created database?

This change and the roster list in the Booking Analysis screen not separating or sorting in-ring workers from non-ring workers are two simple features from 2016 I miss dearly.

Just book intergender matches. I have the all the time with CWA. For a while my highest rated match was Brooke Tyler with the dynamite express against Amber Allen and a team of Donte Dunn and Erik Strong. 96.

I have done plenty of 2 on 2 intergender matches as well. Even occasionally finding chemistry, like Amber Allen and Jared Johnson. Just treat it like a regular match.

CWA has a medium sized women's divison, but isn't integrated.

I've done four shows with ZEN and doing angles in every show to improve charisma or acting skills and of course matches and no one has improved in anything. I see people gaining pop but no one has moved in anything else. Is it just harder now compared to TEW 16 or am i just being impatient

I am running a Mexico-based Women's Fed in the 2004 mod which is pretty bad ass, but is there any point to running more than two shows a month? I tried once a week and only two shows actually increased my popularity despite putting on shows in the 40s and having 0 popularity.

Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong? Like I started with 1k cash and can't make any progress over months other than halfway through the year I went from 0 to 5 points in popularity.

Overall skill growth is slower in the 2020 version (the handbook described the changes pretty well). At least to me entertainment skills (especially Charisma) seem particularly hard to develop.</p>

I generally exclusively book men vs men and women vs women so to me, they are separate divisions just like my weight classes are for the men. I always separate the men into heavyweight, middleweight, and lightweight "divisions" with their own titles. I just do it through the booking screen the game doesn't do it for me. But they're separate divisions. In my head only? Maybe. But it's my game! I keep singles matches in the divisions but mix things up for tag matches to make it feel more fun and open. I guess this kind of stuff only matters for A.I. bookers?</p>

I am making a database. I noticed in the relationships, you can set "accepts developmental contracts", and it doesn't seem to mandate owning the company.

1. Can a company receive contracts from multiple companies?

(For example, can Next-Gen Pro be an "Alliance Developmental" for everyone?)

2. How do Sister Companies actually work?

Let's assume a layout like this - one company based in GL, expanding east; also Canada and UK. One company in South West going West Half; also, Mexico and Japan. Then, a third company with Mid-South, expanding east-west, Canada, and Mexico. So, if these were "Sister Companies" who are members of an Alliance and are big enough to have exclusive deals, what would "Sister Companies" do in this situation? If they each have developmental/child companies, would it be more practical to make those Sister Companies instead? What effect would that have?

3. In the above scenario, would it be viable to create on alliance of Mother Companies and a second alliance of Child Companies?

4. Alliances mostly seem to be useful for smaller companies reaching into other regions. Has anyone made an International Loan/Trade Alliance between a US, UK, and JA Big Company, or 3 US Big Companies? Did you deem it a waste? I think it's a good means of expanding.

I ask this range of questions because the editor did not prohibit me from setting relationships with a Child Company receiving developmental contracts from multiple source companies - nor did it check to make sure the development company is owned. Is this waiting to be fixed, or working as intended? What will happen in-game? I'd rather know whether it's viable to move forward with "Mega-Dev" or if I should just give them each their own dev territory.

Edit:

5. If said Child Company owns a Performance Center, would the child company send developmental talent assigned to it, AND its own talent there? Or would it only be able to send its own talent?
