The usual pyros explode as we hear the voice of Todd Grisham welcoming us to the show as the camera pans around the crowd....

Todd Grisham: Welcome to ECW on Sci-Fi and tonight, the start of an 8 man tournament to decide the new number one contender to Jack Swagger's ECW Championship. I'm Todd Grisham, here with Matt Striker, and Matt, tonight we will see two first round matches in the number one contenders tournament....

Matt Striker: Good evening everyone, and Todd, you are indeed right, two huge matches might I add as Mark Henry takes on DJ Gabriel and the 'Fighting Irishman' Finlay, who was unsuccessful in his efforts to become the ECW Champion at No Way Out, taking on Paul Burchill, here tonight......

The announcers are interrupted by the music of John Morrison, who makes his way out with the 'Miz'...

Todd Grisham: Well, John Morrison making his way out, one half of the World Tag Team Champions, for the first match of the night, as he takes on one half of Cryme Tyme, in Shad Gaspard....

http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n31/sebsyboy/WIABA%20PICS%20H-M/th_JohnMorrison3.jpgvshttp://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n31/sebsyboy/WIABA%20PICS%20N-S/th_ShadGasparAAF.jpg

John Morrison (w/ The 'Miz') vs Shad Gaspard (w/ JTG)

These two teams have been going at it for some weeks now. Morrison has plenty of experience in singles competition compared to Shad and it tells late on in the match. With Shad overpowering Morrison in the early going, Morrison's quickness and agility give him the edge as he takes control of the match. Unfortunately, as always seems to be the case where Morrison and the 'Miz' are involved, they feel the need to resort to underhand tactics at the close of the match. With Morrison down near the ropes after a big kick to the chest from Shad, 'Miz' cleverly slides one of their tag team belts into Morrison's hands unseen by the referee and then runs to the other side of the ring to climb up on the apron and distract Shad. JTG runs after 'Miz', who runs off and with the official watching those two. Morrison smashes Shad in the skull with the belt as he bends to lift him up to his feet. Morrison slides the belt to the outside and covers Shad to pick up a morally dubious victory.

Winner: John Morrison

Pinfall

7.18

We return from commercials and see Tommy Dreamer walking backstage minding his own business, only for ECW Champion Jack Swagger to appear and get in his face, smirking and sarcastically laughing....

Jack Swagger: You're pathetic, you know that......Why don't you just quit, Tommy, whatever misguided dreams you had of becoming ECW Champion ended the day I joined this company. I beat you last week and you could step into that ring with me again another hundred times and I would beat you every single time..... I've got a good mind to just put you out of your misery right here an.....

Swagger is quickly cut off as Finlay walks into view, Tommy choosing to walk away...

Finlay: Swagger... you are really starting to work my last nerve, boy. You need to watch your mouth, you do not talk like that to anyone let alone an ECW legend. Who's to say Tommy won't win this tournament and beat you at Wrestlemania 25 to become ECW Champion, huh? Anyway, Tommy's match is next week, mine however is tonight, and if Tommy doesn't win this tournament, then I will, so I invite you to come to the ring and watch my match tonight, because believe me, if you want to be champion after Wrestlemania, you're going to have to be 100% ready for me Jack....... I'll see you later...

Finlay walks off, leaving Swagger feeling highly disrespected...

Mark Henry (w/ Tony Atlas) vs DJ Gabriel (w/ Alicia Fox)

The rookie Gabriel, shows his promise with a tough display against Henry, but ultimately is totally overpowered by Henry who hits a splash in the corner and then a Worlds Strongest Slam to progress to the semi finals.

Winner: Mark Henry

Pinfall

4:23

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We cut away from Henry celebrating with Atlas, to the backstage area where Ricky Ortiz is talking with Tiffany....

Ricky Ortiz: I... I just can't seem to get a win at the moment, no matter what I do.. it's just so.. frustrating.

Tiffany: Don't worry about it Ricky, I'm sure things will start going your way very soon....

Ricky Ortiz: Thank you... look thank you so much for listening to me go on, you didn't need to, so thank you.... again.

Tiffany: Don't mention it...

Tiffany smiles at Ricky and stands up before kissing him on the cheek...

Tiffany: I hope that brings you some good luck.

Tiffany smiles at Ricky again, and he leaves the room, himself sporting a very happy smile as we head to commercials...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We return to ECW and straight into an animated graphic hyping 'Wrestlemania' and the fact that it is just 40 days away!!. As it ends, we flick to an image of that same graphic on a tv monitor backstage. The camera pulls out to reveal The Boogeyman sitting in front of the table. Boogeyman turns suddenly to face the camera as the room darkens and smoke starts to swirl around...

The Boogeyman

I'm The Boogeyman..... and I'm going to Wrestlemania! ha-ha-ha-ha-ha...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Todd Grisham: haha! Well The Boogeyman is in action next week in his first round match in the number one contenders tournament to determine who will challenge Jack Swagger for the ECW Title at Wrestlemania, Mark Henry is already through and of course coming up in tonights main event, Finlay and Paul Burchill will be fighting each other to take the second semi final spot.......

The 'Miz' (w/ John Morrison) vs Ricky Ortiz

Ortiz in noticeably more buoyant after his encounter with Tiffany before the break and starts off with a flurry of offence against 'Miz'. A distraction by Morrison turns the tide of the match, with Ortiz connecting with the odd punch only for 'Miz' to regain control with a well placed dropkick or right hand. Ortiz does get back into the match and looks set to finish things off until Morrison climbs on the apron, causing the distraction and allowing 'Miz' to club Ortiz in the back and continue the match. As soon as Morrison is off the apron, Cryme Tyme appear on the ramp and sprint down to the ring, chasing Morrison off, the distraction proving costly for 'Miz' who turns and gets taken out by Ortiz, who springs off the adjacent ropes and hits 'Miz' with a flying shoulder block.

Winner: Ricky Ortiz

Pinfall

6:23

Having come back from the final ad break, we are greeted with a video hyping the latest entrant into the 2009 Hall Of Fame: 'Cowboy' Bill Watts...

Jack Swagger makes his way out and takes up a position at the announce table prior to the nights main event...

Finlay (w/ Hornswoggle) vs Paul Burchill (w/ Katie Lea Burchill)

This match is exactly what you would expect from these two Brits, a no nonsense, fist throwing brawl. Finlay controls the match to begin with, occasionally looking over at Swagger, as if to send a message, only for Katie Lea to trip Finlay as he springs off the ropes, a move unseen by the official. Burchill gets a 2 count before Hornswoggle, who saw the intervention, chases after Katie Lea, who runs screaming up the ramp, much to the delight of the crowd. Finlay quickly fights back and soon plants Burchill with a Celtic Cross to advance to the semi finals.

Winner: Finlay

Pinfall

6:04

Hornswoggle joins his father in the ring as Finlay rests on the ropes to stare over at Swagger, who takes off his headset and stands up to return the glare. Finlay smiles at Swagger before celebrating with his son as ECW fades out...

A huge six man tag team match is just one of the many reasons to tune in to Smackdown this week! MVP, R-Truth and Hurricane Helms take on United States Champion Shelton Benjamin, Matt Hardy and The Brian Kendrick as the WWE sets itself firmly on the path towards Wrestlemania 25.

Umaga has attacked both Jesse and Festus over the past couple of weeks, but the pair will be hoping to turn the tables on the 'Samoan Bulldozer' as they face him in a 2 on 1 Handicap match this week on Smackdown.

Tommy Dreamer has been on a poor run of results since announcing he would retire if he didn't prove he could still hang with the top stars, and things might not look much better come the end of his match this week with the 'Moscow Mauler' Vladimir Kozlov.

Following a surprise victory over Michelle McCool last week, Maria will get a chance to really show what she's made of when she faces Divas Champion - Maryse in non title action this Friday.

Also, the WWE Tag Team Champions - The Colons, will be in action this week as they face Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryder. Can the former Edgeheads show they still have what it takes or will The Colons show just why they are the champs?

As if all that wasn't enough, Jeff Hardy, Triple H and Edge are just some of the other top Smackdown stars sure to be looking to make an impact this Friday night, as we head towards the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania!

Friday 27th February 2009

Conte Forum, Boston, MA

Attendance: 8,813

A video plays showing the end of last weeks Smackdown where Jeff Hardy and Edge faced off in a match. We see Hardy hit a Twist Of Fate before climbing the turnbuckle, only to be pushed off by his brother Matt. We see Matt standing over Jeff, slapping his in the face until Jeff suddenly jumps up only for Matt to high tail it from the ring. Finally we see Edge, ever the opportunist, Spearing Jeff as he turns around to look away from his brother. The video ends....

<object width="200" height="160"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGtN7nWaFS0&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGtN7nWaFS0&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="200" height="160"></embed></object>

The camera pans the crowd as they wave their home-made signs, but they soon start booing as Matt Hardy's music hits and he makes his way to the ring and gets a microphone.....

Matt Hardy: You know what, I've really had enough, I am sick and tired of Jeff and I am sick and tired of all you people....... I have proved myself to be the most talented of the Hardy's yet everywhere I go, all I hear is people going on about how I am jealous of Jeff, of how he is the victim when the exact opposite is true. All my life, I've looked after Jeff, holding myself back to protect him from himself and protect him from you. You see, you people cheer for Jeff each and every week as loud as you can, but it is not because he is great or because he's your favourite superstar, it is for one reason and one reason only, and that is that the more you cheer him, the more outrageous his stunts become. You all cheer for Jeff because he goes to extreme lengths to please you all and I made a decision not to look after him anymore when all he wants is to please all of you, and do more and more crazy things. You people are all just waiting for Jeff to blow up, to lose it again and self destruct like he has so many times before and that is fine by me......... I deserve to finally reach the heights I know I should have been reaching long ago, and I am going to do that by finally putting myself first. Last week I sent yet another message to Jeff that I want nothing more to do with him, he doesn't seem to be getting the message that I no longer consider him as my brother. Jeff, I know you're listening, there will never be any more Hardy Boys, no more Matt and Jeff........ you mean absolutely nothing to me.......

The crowd stand up as Jeff's music hits and he walks out looking understandably upset. He makes his way to the ring, grabbing a microphone from the timekeepers table on the way. Jeff starts to speak, emotionally.

Jeff Hardy: Matt....... why are you still doing this........ you're my brother...... I ju....

Jeff is cut off as Matt suddenly knocks him down with a right hand. Matt stands over the shocked Jeff and raises the microphone to his lips.....

Matt Hardy: I AM NOT... YOUR... BROTHER... next week Jeff, I am going to get what I have wanted for so long now... me and you.... one on one.... Hardy versus Hardy....

Matt throws the microphone down on Jeff's chest and leaves the ring as Jeff starts to haul himself up, looking at Matt through tear-filled eyes, Matt just glaring soullessly at his brother before turning his back and walking up the ramp....

JR: I really can not understand what has gotten in to Matt Hardy...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We flick backstage and into the office of General Manager Vickie Guerrero, where she is sat on a leather couch with her husband Edge.

Edge: Vickie... you have got to do something, I want my rematch for 'my' title and I don't want to wait until Wrestlemania...

Vickie Guerrero: Baby...... I've told you, I can't make any decisions until I know what Randy Orton's decision is on who he will face at Wrestlemania...

Edge: I can't wait until then, I should be headlining Wrestlemania.....

Vickie Guerrero: I know, I know.... look, honey, there really isn't anything I can do about it right now, but what I can do is make a main event match for tonight so that you can get your revenge on Triple H, and that's why I have already made a match.....

Edge: Match... what match... what are you talking about Vickie?.....

Vickie Guerrero: Tonight, it is going to be Triple H and Jeff Hardy versus you and... The Big Show....

Edge ponders the announcement for a few seconds.....

Edge: Well... it looks like I have a match to go prepare for...

Edge stands up and walks off, leaving Vickie not exactly sure if her husband is pleased with the announcement or not......

JR: What a main event! Triple H and Jeff Hardy facing Edge and Big Show.... tonight!

Vladimir Kozlov vs Tommy Dreamer

Tommy Dreamer is looking to turn his fortunes around away from ECW, but is up against it here as he faces the imposing Russian. Dreamer is quickly overpowered and gets in very little offence against a rampaging Kozlov, who destroys Dreamer with 3 headbutts to the chest as he holds Dreamer's arms, before finishing him off with the Iron Curtain.

Winner: Vladimir Kozlov

We fade into a video showing the latest inductee into this years Hall Of Fame: 'Cowboy' Bill Watts. We fade to commercials once more.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We return to Smackdown where Vickie Guerrero is facing Matt Hardy in her office....

Vickie Guerrero: Now Matt... you and your brother both have matches ton......

Matt Hardy: I have no brother!

Vickie Guerrero: Okay, sorry.... you and Jeff both have matches tonight, I've already been to see Jeff and now I'm telling you, I do not want either of you to interfere in the others match, okay?

Matt Hardy: Don't worry...

Matt leaves the office.......

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We head backstage where Josh Mathews standing by......

Josh Mathews: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest, MVP. MVP, in just a few moments you will be in action in a 6 man tag match and I just wanted to get your thoughts on that match.

MVP: Well Josh, last week I told everyone that my intention is to once again become the United States Champion, and tonight, I'm going to go out there and show why I deserve a shot at Shelton Benjamin.....

MVP walks off confidently as we head back into the arena for the entrances and the next match of the evening...

MVP, Hurricane Helms & R-Truth vs Shelton Benjamin, Matt Hardy & The Brian Kendrick (w/ Ezekiel Jackson)

As you would expect given the 6 men in the ring, this is one frenetically paced match. Benjamin enters for his team and MVP climbs in for his side, prompting Benjamin to tag straight out to Kendrick. MVP dominates the smaller man until Benjamin places a knee in MVP's back as he runs to the ropes. MVP reacts by swinging a punch at Benjamin, which connects, but he turns back into a dropkick from Kendrick who then tags in Benjamin. Benjamin grounds MVP in a headlock and controls him for the next couple of minutes, not allowing him to make a tag, but he gets too ****y, holding MVP by one leg and smiling at him as MVP desperately tries to make a tag, and MVP hits an enziguri to Benjamin. He is a little slow to get up but makes the tag to Helms just as Benjamin tags in Hardy. Helms ducks a clothesline and unleashes a volley of kicks to Hardy before tagging in Truth. Hardy rakes the eyes of Truth to regain control. Hardy pounds on Truth and he desperately needs the tag, and eventually gets it to Helms. Helms comes back in and out punches Hardy before dropkicking him from the ring. Kendrick comes in illegaly but MVP takes him out by throwing him straight over the top rope and following him out. Hardy has snuck bck in and tags in Benjamin before taking a cheap shot at Helms but Truth comes in and clotheslines Hardy out of the ring, taking himself with him. Benjamin looks for Paydirt on Helms but he pushes Benjamin away and hits a Shining Wizard before making the cover, hooking both legs and scoring a huge pinfall over the US Champion.

Winners: Hurricane Helms, MVP & R-Truth

Pinfall

Having gone to commercials after the 6 man tag match, we return to Smackdown and see a video showing the moment from last week when Maria beat Michelle McCool with a surprise rollup, and the subsequent look of shock on Michelle's face at having been pinned so easily...

http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n31/sebsyboy/WIABA%20DIVAS/th_MariaDEC2308.jpgvshttp://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n31/sebsyboy/WIABA%20DIVAS/th_Maryse.jpg

Maria vs Maryse

Having beaten Michelle McCool last week, Maria is looking to top that tonight by beating the Diva's Champion. She holds her own aswell, although Maryse is mostly in control of the match, but gets a little arrogant and Maria dropkicks her from the ring. With Maria looking over the ropes at the champion, Michelle McCool sprints to the ring and clatters Maria from behind, prompting the referee to call for the bell.

Winner: Maria

Disqualification

4:45

This isn't about stopping Maria from winning a match cleanly, though, it's about revenge, and the seething Michelle pounds on Maria with a series of stiff stomps to her gut and chest as she lies in the corner. Michelle picks Maria up by the hair and throws her across the ring, stopping to look at the strands of hair clinging to her fingers. Michelle waves off all remonstrations from the official to stop and climbs on top of Maria, grabs her hair and starts slaming her face first against the canvas, screaming as she does it, before eventually backing off. The crowd boo heavily as Michelle leaves the ring, wide-eyed, and retreats up the ramp as the referee checks on Maria.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We flick backstage where Jesse is talking to a gormless looking Festus about their upcoming match, trying to gee him up. The Great Khali passes by with Ranjin Singh and they get briefly chatting. Khali says something and Ranjin tells Jesse that Khali wishes them luck for their match against Umaga. Jesse thanks them and shakes Khali and Ranjin's hands. Khali turns to shake Festus' hand aswell but he hasn't a clue what is going on. Khali smiles and walks off with Ranjin as Smackdown cuts to commercials...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We return to Smackdown and see Jeff Hardy in the locker room, sat down on a bench. He lifts his head as Triple H walks in....

Triple H: Hey Jeff....

Jeff Hardy: Hey...

Triple H: Jeff... look... we haven't exactly seen eye to eye in the past..... but you know.... we're on the same team tonight and just want to make sure that you're completely focused for our match tonight.... I know you've been having some..... family issues.... bu....

Hardy springs to his feet and faces Triple H....

Jeff Hardy: Whatever is going on between me and my brother doesn't matter, when I go out there I'll be giving 100% as I always do...... how else would I have beaten you and Edge at Armageddon to become WWE Champion...... so don't you worry about me tonight..... unless you get in my way!

Hardy walks out on Triple H, who just stands there looking over his shoulder towards the door.....

Umaga vs Jesse & Festus

The past couple of weeks, Umaga has beaten both these men in singles action before attacking the other post match, and tonight he has to face both men. Jesse starts with Umaga and is quickly overpowered, but manages to make the tag to Festus who explodes into the ring. Umaga lets out a roar and charges at Festus, who dodges him and lands a huge punch, but Umaga only wobbles. Festus bounces off the ropes and charges at Umaga but the Samoan smashes into him with a clothesline, taking Festus down to the canvas. Umaga picks Festus up, but he knocks Umaga's hands away and hits a few punches before councing off the ropes, Umaga this time countering by launching Festus up and hitting a Samoan Drop having impressively caught Festus on his shoulders. Umaga drags Festus to the corner and sits him up before backing away to the opposite corner. Once again he roars and charges but Jesse, runs across the apron and moves Festus out of harms way. Umaga sees this and stops his charge, grabs Jesse by the hair and throws him into the ring. Jesse gets up and turns straight into a huge kick to the chest and he falls from the ring. Festus is up, stumbling about and Umaga hits the Samoan Spike from out of nowhere and makes the cover.

Winner: Umaga

Pinfall

3:39

JR: An impressive display by Umaga, defeating two me.....

Tazz: I don't think he's done, JR!

Umaga has started to walk back over to Festus and mounts him before punching away at his head, Festus unable to cover up...

JR: Oh there is absolutely no need for this.....

The crowd suddenly cheer as The Great Khali's music hits and he makes his way out to the ring. Umaga notices the giant as he strides down the ramp and stares at him, seemingly intrigued. Khali climbs onto the apron and climbs over the top rope into the ring. Umaga rushes at him and hits him hard, but Khali retaliates with a huge punch of his own. Umaga chargs back but Khali hits a chop to the top of Umaga's skull and the Samoan falls down but rolls out of the ring and gets back to his feet, clutching the top of his head and glaring angrily at Khali as he retreats away fro the giant and up the ramp...

JR: Umaga getting a taste of his own medicine, courtesy of The Great Khali......

Smackdown cuts to commercials...

Carlito & Primo Colon vs Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder

The Tag Champs get a chance to show why they are just that whilst Hawkins and Ryder look to come out of the wilderness and pick up a huge win over the champs. The Colons are particularly dominant in this match, showing their opponents to not be as much of a threat as they were when teamed with a certain 'Rated R Superstar', and the champs pick up the win when Carlito hits the Backstabber on Ryder.

Winners: Carlito & Primo Colon

Pinfall

6:29

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JR: An impressive display by the WWE Tag Team Champions there, but folks look at this...

A graphic appears hyping 'HBK' vs JBL this coming Monday night on RAW...

JR: This Monday night on RAW, the 'Heart Break Kid' Shawn Michaels goes one one one with JBL and the winner of that match will challenge The Undertaker to a match at Wrestlemania 25...

Tazz: I know I'll be tuning into RAW on Monday night, JR, but if it were me, I think I'd be fighting for the right to get as far away from The Undertaker as possible huh-huh-huh...

JR: I wouldn't blame you, Tazz!!

We then cut into an animated graphic hyping the fact that Wrestlemania is just 37 days away!!!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We then cut again to Vickie Guerrero's office where she is stood between Edge and Big Show.....

Edge: I just want to know that you're going to have my back tonight, Show...

Big Show: Excuse me.... you're the one who Speared me two weeks ago, remember?

Edge: Look, that was then, just tell me you aren't going to do anything stupid tonight....

Big Show: Trust me, Edge... I'm not going to do anything stupid.

Big Show smiles at Edge who isn't forthcoming with a smile of his own. Show leaves the room and Edge just sneers at him behind his back as Smackdown fades to commercials....

Triple H & Jeff Hardy vs Edge & The Big Show

The bell rings and you can see that that all 4 men are keeping one eye on their partners as much as they are their opponents. Triple H and Big Show start the match off and Show pushes the WWE Champion away forcefully, before smiling. They lock up again and once more, Show pushes Triple H to the corner and runs at him, Hunter moves and Show stops himself on the ropes, turns and is kicked in the gut by Triple H who tries to force Show's head between his legs, but Show pushes Triple H away and stumbles backwards. Show looks at Triple H angrily and charges him, but walks straight into a big right hand, and another, and a third before Triple H bounces off the ropes and clatters Show with a clothesline, the 450+ pound behemoth only slightly wobbling on his feet. Triple H springs from the ropes again but this time Show is ready and drops the champ with a clothesline. Show hauls Hunter up and traps him in the corner before slamming his chest with the palm of his massive hand before picking him up and raising him above his head before throwing him back down onto his back. Edge is pleading for the tag which Show duly obliges with, and the 'Rated R Superstar' eagerly enters the ring to immediately cover Triple H for a 1 count before grounding him in a headlock. The next couple of minutes is spent by Edge keeping Triple H under control with Hunter once making a break to tag in Hardy only for Edge to cut him off. Edge tags in Show, keeping hold of his leg before leaving the ring and Show looks to dominate Triple H. Show does dominate him for a minute or so before whipping him to the ropes and crouching to hit a back body drop, but Triple H hits a Facebreaker and looks to follow it up by whipping Show to the ropes, Show counters and whips Hunter who ducks a clothesline on the way back, and after springing off the ropes again, catches Show with a Harley Race like knee to the head, sending Show to the canvas, but Triple H remains down too having been worn down by Show and Edge.

Triple H starts to move and crawls towards his corner where Hardy is leaning over the top rope with a hand outstretched, but Show starts to move aswell, crawling over to Edge. Show makes the tag and Edge quickly enters the ring but Triple H makes the tag and Hardy is in, ducking a clothesline from Edge and quickly stepping up the turnbuckle and hitting a Whisper In The Wind on the 'Rated R Superstar' and getting a 2 count. Hardy quickly knocks Edge into a corner and uses both hands to propel himself upwards and drive both feet into Edge's chest on the way back down, a move which JR calls a Hardyac Arrest!. Edge is up but stumbling around in a daze and Hardy springs off the ropes before taking him down with a wraparound clothesline before getting another 2 count. Hardy is feeling it and looks to be sizing Edge up for a Twist Of Fate, but Big Show comes into the ring illegaly, however the referee sees him and orders him out. Triple H is quick to come in to the ring aswell, having seen Show and as the official turns to order Triple H back out, Show quickly enters and hits a turning Hardy with a Big Boot. Triple H is back on the apron and the official turns as Edge makes a cover on Hardy, who narrowly avoids defeat by rolling a shoulder out. Edge traps Hardy's arm and pulls himself and Hardy over to his corner to tag in Show who drops a huge elbow on Hardy who has nowhere to go. Show starts to dominate Hardy and goes for a Chokeslam, but Hardy jumps out of it and kicks Show at the knee and as Show is kneeling hits a variant of the Twist Of Fate. Hardy is slow to climb the ropes, and is hindered further as Edge walks across the apron to interfere, the official intervenes before Edge can get to Hardy, but Show has had time to get up and climbs the ropes before hitting a massive Suplex on Hardy from the top rope! Show is up first and stumbles to his feet before raising his hand signalling for a Chokeslam, but as he stumbles towards his corner, Edge tags himself in, much to Show's chagrin. Show stares at Edge before reluctantly exiting the ring as Edge comes in to pick the bones. Edge grabs Hardy's leg as he tries to get to his corner but counters with a Mule Kickon Edge and tags in Triple H. Hunter sprints straight over to Show and knocks him off the apron before turning back to Edge. Edge turns around and Triple H plants him with a Spinebuster. Edge slowly gets up and Triple H nails him with a Pedigree to score the victory!!

Winners: Triple H & Jeff Hardy

Pinfall

13:27

JR: Triple H and Jeff Hardy win an exciting match against the 'Rated R Superstar' and Big Show but in my mind, Big Show looked to have the match won.

Tazz: I think he did, JR, he had Jeff right where he wanted him but Edge wanted the win for himself.

JR: Edge, as always the opportunist, but this time it backfired and Big Show does not look pleased.......

Triple H and Jeff Hardy are celebrating as Big Show starts to climb back into the ring, staring at them, Edge starting to stir in the center of the ring between the three men. Triple H and Hardy leave the ring and back off up the ramp as Show edges forward but seems to turn his stare towards Edge, who is slowly getting to his feet. Edge turns and Big Show clasps his hand right around his throat before planting him with a massive Chokeslam...

Tazz: Woahhh!!

JR: Big Show Chokeslams Edge!, clearly upset with the 'Rated R Superstar' costing his team the match tonight.

Tazz: I'm not sure how wise that was of the Big Show, considering who Edge is married to.

JR: You can't say he didn't have it coming, Tazz! Well that's all we have time for here tonight, thank you all for joining us, good night from myself and Tazz!

Smackdown fades out on the image of Big Show staring down at the fallen Edge......

Thank you to everyone who has predicted so far for this 7 month run. Lexa90 hasn't missed a single prediction yet so many thanks to him, as he looks to keep a 100% record on prediction comps. It's a 3 way race atm with Tripps04's absence opening things up for everybody and oSickoii! leading the way so far, and it's a delight to see some more new faces enjoying the ride. Still a very long way to go yet though, so it's all to play for.

I hope everyone is enjoying the diary so far, and hopefully things are building up nicely for Wrestlemania 25 which is now just 5 weeks away.

Thanks to everyone for reading! :)

As announced last week on RAW by General Manager Stephanie McMahon, this week will see the first qualifying match to determine who will head to the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at Wrestlemania 25. And the two men hoping to book the first spot are Kofi Kingston and Paul Burchill, as they face each other this Monday night.

Last years Money In The Bank winner - CM Punk, will also be in action this week as he defends his Intercontinental Title against Santino Marella, who earned the opportunity in a Fatal Four Way match last week. Can Santino recapture the belt or will CM Punk continue his reign?

Perhaps the most highly anticipated of this weeks matches, will see The 'Heart Break Kid' Shawn Michaels take on JBL for the chance to challenge The Undertaker to a match at Wrestlemania 25.

There has been a lot of needle recently between Cryme Tyme and the World Tag Team Champions - John Morrison and The 'Miz'. They will get to fight things out this week on RAW in non title action.

Another match set to take place this week on RAW will see Rey Mysterio take on Mike Knox.

After last weeks main event match between John Cena and World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho ended with 'Y2J' stealing the win, there are sure to be problems between the pair this week on RAW, whilst 'The Legend Killer' Randy Orton is also scheduled to appear.

For all this and much, much more, tune in to RAW, Monday night on USA

Monday 2nd March 2009

Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ

Attendance: 9,985

We fade into a video showing the despicable acts of Randy Orton from the RAW before the Royal Rumble. It shows him kicking Vince McMahon in the skull on that episode of RAW then going on to win the Royal Rumble before the shock return of Shane McMahon to avenge his father. We then see highlights of the match between Shane and Randy at No Way Out, that Orton wins thanks to the help of his Legacy cohorts - Rhodes and DiBiase. We then see Shane attacking Orton after the 'Legend Killer's' match with Shawn Michaels 2 weeks ago on RAW and the challenge issued by the chairmans son that the two face off tonight in an unsanctioned match, a challenge accepted later in the week by Orton before the image of Orton punting Vince in the skull flashes up again as the video then fades into scenes from last week on RAW........

HERE COMES THE MONEY!!!!!

Michael Cole: And here comes the vengeful Shane McMahon, looking to do to Randy Orton what he has done to Shane's father, and maybe worse...

Shane McMahon comes bouncing out on stage in his usual manner as the fans cheer loudly. Suddenly they stop cheering and Shane stops bouncing as Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase jump over the barricades near the bottom of the ramp and start edging towards Shane. Shane doesn't move an inch but is suddenly clattered from behind by Randy Orton....

Michael Cole: What is the meaning of this? Is Randy Orton not man enough to fight an even battle?

Orton clubs Shane across the back, over and over until he starts to fight back, pushing Orton away and throwing some hands, but Rhodes and DiBiase are quickly on him....

Michael Cole: This is supposed to be an unsanctioned match, but this a 3 on 1 assault.

King: Legacy are really laying in to Shane McMahon!

Orton throws Shane up against the barricades that line the ramp before tossing him down the ramp and he rolls towards the ring. Orton is right back on him and throws him into the ring. Rhodes and DiBiase get in first but Shane mounts a fight back, getting some punches in on both men before Orton quickly subdues him once more. The 3 men trap Shane in a corner, taking it in turns to stomp him down until he ends up lying on his side....... Shane goes to climb into the ring through the top 2 ropes but Orton kicks him square in the gut, wraps his arm around his head and drags him through so just his feet are resting on the middle rope...

Michael Cole: Come on Orton, enough is enough...

King: Here it comes...

Orton plants Shane with a thunderous DDT and soon after, Rhodes and DiBiase are back up in the ring, staring down at Shane just as Orton does. Shane is only just about moving around, slowly squirming around on the canvas as Orton looks down at him. He slowly starts to back away, his eyes widening, one thought only in his mind.....

Stephanie McMahon: Randy..... stop... please...

Stephanie McMahon is at the top of the ramp, tears running from her eyes as she pleads with Orton desperately...

Stephanie McMahon: Just stop Randy... leave Shane alone......

Orton has stopped looking at Shane, instead focusing his soulless eyes on Stephanie. Shane is slowly starting to haul himself up and just about manages to get up onto his hands and knees. Stephanie starts walking slowly towards the ring when Orton suddenly looks back at Shane and his eyes widen once more. Orton runs full pelt at Shane....

Michael Cole: No, Randy!

....and kicks him right in the skull, the force spinning him around before he comes to rest motionless on the canvas....

Stephanie drops the mic and runs towards Shane screaming and crying. She slides into the ring and bares over Shane, who is completely out of it, and turns to call for help. Cries of Shane can be tearfully heard from Stephanie as referees and emt's start clamoring to the ring. Orton just stands all the while, staring down at Shane, looking as if he's actually proud of what he has done. Orton eventually leaves the ring with Rhodes and DiBiase as the medical staff continue to check on Shane, who now has a neck brace in place.

Michael Cole: I can't believe what we've seen here tonight, King!

King: I sure hope Shane is ok, I actually feel quite sick at what I've seen here tonight. I've seen some things in my time here in the WWE, but I don't think I've ever seen anything so despicable as what Randy Orton has done here tonight....

The emt's have now rolled Shane onto a stretcher and are strapping him to it prior to removing him from the ring....

I HEAR VOICES!!!!!

The video ends as we fade into the arena, there is no normal RAW intro video and no pyrotechnics as the 'Legend Killer' Randy Orton is already making his way down to the ring flanked by Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr......

Michael Cole: Randy Orton, the man who is running rampant here on RAW, making his way to the ring as you join us here tonight in Atlantic City, New Jersey. I'm Michael Cole, alongside hall of famer Jerry 'The King' Lawler, as we welcome you to Monday Night RAW and one can only imagine what we are about to hear from the mouth of the vile, viper like Randy Orton.....

King: Just look at him, Michael, that soulless stare we have become so accustomed to, has been permanently etched on Randy Orton's face for as long as I can remember.....

Orton is in the ring now, Rhodes and DiBiase either side of him as he lifts a microphone up to his mouth......

Randy Orton: Two weeks ago, I achieved one of the greatest accomplishments in my life. Nothing could top becoming the youngest ever World Champion, but a fortnight ago I won my first Royal Rumble to earn a shot at any World Title of my choosing. Due to.... other events... I have so far been unable to announce my decision as to which title I will compete for... and win at Wrestlemania. Now, finally, I am done with the McMahon family, having done last week to Shane what I did to his father just a few weeks before. It was always my intention to challenge John Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 25, but as things turned out, he is no longer the champion..... instead that man is Chris Jericho. All the respective paperwork has been signed and I am proud to announce that at Wrestlemania, I will be challenging Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship...

Michael Cole: Wow.... Chris Jericho versus Randy Orton at Wrestlemania, King!

King: It looks like it's going to be a battle of the ego's at Wrestlemania...

Randy Orton: Now, Chris.... don't take this personally, I ha...

I'M ALL GROWN UP!!!!!

Michael Cole: Things are about to get heated, King!

Randy Orton lowers the microphone as he turns his head to stare at Stephanie who stands at the top of the ramp, Orton's face unable to hind the annoyance of being interrupted, and by Stephanie of all people....

Stephanie McMahon: Randy.....

Randy Orton: Stephanie... I am growing really tired of you interrupting me week in week out an.....

Stephanie McMahon: Randy.... Randy.. calm down. Don't worry, I think we all know, you've made it pretty clear on many occasions, that there is nothing I can do to stop you having your title match at Wrestlemania.....

Randy Orton: Well I'm glad you feel that way, Stephanie, now if you'll excuse me.... I wasn't finished....

Stephanie McMahon: Oh I'm sorry Randy.... but neither am I.....

King: I wonder what she means by that....

Stephanie McMahon: As I was saying..... Randy, you have signed all the relevant paperwork to officially challenge Chris Jericho for his World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania, and there is nothing I can do to stop that match happening...... however... I can 'amend' it....

Orton's eyes narrow as he focuses even more intently on what Stephanie is saying...

Stephanie McMahon: As you were saying earlier, Randy, you always intended to challenge John Cena for the World Title at Wrestlemania, but as it transpired, he lost the title to Chris Jericho at No Way Out..... Now, John Cena is as such entitled to a rematch for the chance to win back the World Title and I have decided that there is nowhere John Cena deserves more to have that opportunity than at the Reliant Stadium in Texas....

King: Are you making any sense of this, Michael?

Stephanie McMahon: .... because at Wrestlemania it is going to be.... the champion Chris Jericho versus Randy Orton..... versus John Cena in a Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship........

Michael Cole: Wow!!!!

King: Can you believe that. Michael? Jericho versus Cena versus Orton at Wrestlemania!!

Stephanie's music begins to play as she turns to make her exit, with Orton looking absolutely shell-shocked. Stephanie turns around and raises the microphone back to her mouth as her music fades out again.....

Stephanie McMahon: Oh, Randy.... Randy.... before I forget, whilst I was at it, I've also made another couple of matches. In light of the Triple Threat Match just announced for Wrestlemania, all three participants in that match will compete in a match next week on RAW as you Randy, take on John Cena..... and Chris Jericho in a 2 on 1 Handicap Match...... and tonight Randy, you have a match against.... the 'Big Red Machine' Kane!!!!!

King: Ho-hooooooo, Stephanie doing everything in her power to make life difficult for Randy Orton!!

I'M ALL GROWN UP!!!!!

Stephanie's music plays once more and this time she walks backstage with a hugely satisfied smile on her face, much the contrast of Orton's expression, the 'Legend Killer' still reeling from the news that he will now have to beat two men at Wrestlemania to become World Heavyweight Champion. RAW fades to commercials....

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We return to RAW where Todd Grisham is standing by.....

Todd Grisham: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the number one contender to the Intercontinental Title... Santino Marella.

The camera pulls out to reveal Santino stood with a huge smile on his face, as Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes stand by his side...

Todd Grisham: Santino, later on tonight you will face CM Punk for his Intercontinental Title and I was just wondering what type of strategy you will be looking to use....

Santino Marella: Strategy?..... I will not be using any strategy..... CM Punk is nothing more flan a fly by night champion... much like his time as World Champion..... you see I will beat CM Punk tonight and become the Intercontinence champion because I am from the best country in the world... Italy. And once I am champion we can focus on helping my woman, Beth Phoenix to win back her Woman's title....

Beth doesn't exactly look impressed as Santino walks away, the 'Glamazon' belatedly following him with Rosa as we cut back into the arena.....

Money In The Bank Qualifying Match

Kofi Kingston vs Paul Burchill (w/ Katie Lea Burchill)

Kofi has impressed more and more since joining the WWE and would love to follow up his participation in the Elimination Chamber with a place in Money In The Bank at Wrestlemania 25. Standing in his way, though is the brawling Burchill who hasn't impressed quite as much during his tenure on RAW. Kingston takes the early initiative, dazzling Burchill with a series of quick kicks to the legs and en enzuigiri before Katie Lea makes a nuisance of herself to allow Burchill to smash a distracted Kingston from behind. Burchill grounds Kofi and delivers some vicious shots before Kofi turns things around and after a to and fro battle, avoids an attempted clothesline, countering straight into a Trouble In Paradise to earn his place at Wrestlemania!

Winner: Kofi Kingston

Pinfall

4:41

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Kofi celebrates, we cut backstage to Todd Grisham once again...

Todd Grisham: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Kane. Kane, later on tonight you will be tasked with defeating a man who is on perhaps the biggest roll of any WWE superstar, Randy Orton, a man who has inflicted pain upon many opponents of late....

Kane: Pain?...... Randy Orton knows nothing about pain, but he will find out later on tonight........

Kane stares briefly at Todd before walking away, then RAW fades to commercials...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We return to RAW and enter the office of Stephanie McMahon who is just finishing a phonecall when an angry Chris Jericho storms into her office...

Chris Jericho: Stephanie.... what the hell do you think you are playing at... You can't add John Cena to my match with Randy Orton at Wrestlemania... screw with Orton all you like, but do not make my life more difficult in the process...

Stephanie McMahon: Are you finished, Chris?..... John Cena is perfectly entitled to his rematch, you know that as much as anyone, Chris, and quite frankly.... I couldn't care less if that upsets you or not.... Anyway, Chris... if I was you, I'd go and prepare... you've got a match tonight against Rhodes and DiBiase....

Chris Jericho: Oh so what, now you're punishing me by putting me in a handicap match like you are Orton next week...

Stephanie McMahon: Actually, Chris, you will have a partner tonight..... in fact, here he is now.....

Jericho turns around and his eyes immediately close with derision, allowing himself a sarcastic smirk as the camera pulls out to reveal John Cena!

Stephanie McMahon: I'll give you two a moment to discuss tactics.. or whatever...

Steph leaves the room as Cena and Jericho face each other...

John Cena: Look..... It's no secret... I don't like you... you don't like me.... but Rhodes and DiBiase, they're a good team, so what say we just work together an....

Chris Jericho: Cut the crap, Cena.... just don't try anything funny tonight.... and we might get on ok....

Jericho walks past Cena and out of the room, Cena allowing himself a rye smile as we head back out into the arena.....

The 'Miz' & John Morrison vs Cryme Tyme

'Mizorrison' have been a constant thorn in the side of the Brooklyn boys and further proved their status when Morrison beat Shad last week on ECW, naturally with a helping hand from 'Miz'. Cryme Tyme gained a measure of revenge when they interfered in 'Miz's' match against Ricky Ortiz later that night, causing 'Miz' to lose, but can they gain a much larger measure of revenge with a win tonight? It certainly looks that way from the start as the big, imposing Shad batters 'Miz' around the ring until he has enough ands tags in Morrison. 'Miz' and Morrison gain control through dirty tricks, but after an even match, with all four men in the ring, JTG takes out Morrison to the outside, allowing Shad to hit a huge running big boot to the face of 'Miz' and make the cover. Morrison whips JTG into the steps on the outside and climbs in to break up the pin but it's too late as Cryme Tyme pick up a huge win over their rivals.

Winners: Cryme Tyme

Pinfall

6:34

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We flick backstage where Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase are walking along a corridor talking about how they will defeat Cena and Jericho tonight, when they happen upon Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Cody looks at Hacksaw and smirks as he starts to speak....

Cody Rhodes: Wow you're still here.... you know I figured you had actually taken the hint and given up.... seriously Jim, why are you still here? You were way past your best six or seven years ago, let alone now.... you're pathetic... I mean look at you......

Cody suddenly stops talking as he sees a familiar figure walking towards him... his brother, Goldust! Cody looks at Goldust with a mixed look of confusion and embarrassment. Goldust shakes his head and starts to speak...

Goldust: What has happened to you, Cody? You used to be such a quiet, respectful young man, but now look at you... showing so little respect for the people that have paved the way for you to be in this business....

Cody looks at Goldust with a 'whatever' expression and walks off with DiBiase. Goldust watches him leave, his head shaking in disappointment as RAW fades to commercials.....

Rey Mysterio vs Mike Knox

Knox has been bullying Mysterio few several weeks now, attacking the much smaller masked man at every opportunity. The match starts with Mysterio hitting a series of kicks to the legs and thighs of Knox. Knox swings at Mysterio who ducks and kicks at the back of Knox's legs. Knox grabs Mysterio and whips him to the ropes, going for a big boot, but Mysterio slides underneath it and goes back to kicking away at Knox's legs and now his midriff. Mysterio has Knox stumbling and bounces off the ropes straight into a big boot, Knox not missing this time as Mysterio slams to the mat with force. Knox gets a 2 count before slamming forearms across the back of his opponent and picking him up in a bear-hug. Knox tightens the grip, driving the air out of Mysterio who starts to fight back, shaking his fists in an attempt to find some energy and hits a couple of right hands on Knox. Knox starts to lose his grip but throws Mysterio away, Knox stumbles and Mysterio charges but Knox takes him down with a clothesline and gets another 2 count. Knox picks Mysterio up and whips him into the turnbuckle, charging in on the follow up but Mysterio dodges. Knox stumbles from the corner and Mysterio goes back to the turnbuckle, quickly nips up and looks to hit a Crossbody from the second rope but Knox catches him. He jerks Mysterio up, looking to hit a move, but Mysterio counters into a huge DDT, planting Knox head first. Mysterio makes the cover but gets a 2 count of his own. Both men get to their feet and Knox throws a right hand at Mysterio who stumbles against the ropes, but bounces quickly back and hits a dropkick to Knox's knee, forcing down to one knee. Mysterio bounces off again and hits a dropkick to Knox's face and makes the cover, again only 2! Both men get up close to each other and Knox knees Mysterio in the gut, before whipping him to the corner, quickly following it up and hitting a splash on Mysterio. Mysterio is wobbly and Knox whips him to the opposite corner and follows it up, this time looking to drive the sole of his boot into Mysterio's skull, but he dodges and Knox's leg hangs up on the top rope. He frees his leg and stumbles backwards, Mysterio bounces off the ropes and dropkicks him in the back, Knox falls against the ropes and Mysterio springs off the ropes again and nails a 619! Mysterio is quickly back to his feet on the apron and goes for a Springboard FrogSplash... he hits it and makes the cover... 1..2..3!

Winner: Rey Mysterio

As Mysterio celebrates, we head backstage and once more to Todd Grisham...

Todd Grisham: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, JBL. JBL, tonight you will face the 'Heart Break Kid' Shawn Michaels for the opportunity to face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 25, but I have to ask, having lost to Shawn just a couple of weeks ago at No Way Out, what will you do differently tonight to....

JBL: Let me stop you right there, boy.... truth be told when I lost to Shawn at No Way Out, my heart wasn't fully in it that night, in a way I was glad to be rid of him, he did nothing but disappoint as my employee, but tonight it will be different. Sixteen men have gone to Wrestlemania to face The Undertaker, none of them have succeeded, but none of them have been JBL. I aim to make history at Wrestlemania 25 by ending the streak of the 'Deadman' and going down in lore by doing so in my home state of Texas. The only thing standing in my way of history is Shawn Michaels and unlike No Way Out, he's up against a JBL who wants 100% to win and take his rightful place at Wrestlemania. Shawn may have taken away my chance of going to Wrestlemania as World Champion, but he will not stop me from going to Wrestlemania and ending the famous streak...... of The Undertaker...

JBL smiles a very confident smile as RAW fades to commercials....

Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Jr. vs Chris Jericho & John Cena

The bell rings and Cena and Jericho appear to be at odds over who should start the match, Jericho leaving the ring just as Cena is attacked from behind by Rhodes. Cena is quick to respond and takes Rhodes down with 2 huge clotheslines before hitting a back body drop. Cena looks to Jericho for the tag but he holds his hands out telling Cena he has it under control. Cena goes back to work on Rhodes and bounces off the ropes, but is kneed in the back by DiBiase. Cena turns and knocks him off the apron with a punch before turning back to Rhodes and grabbing him by the head. Jericho starts to climb into the ring and the referee heads him off just as DiBiase slides in and forearms Cena across the back before he and Rhodes hit a double back suplex. DiBiase leaves the ring just as the official turns around having dealt with Jericho. Rhodes makes a token cover, forcing a 1 count before grounding Cena in a headlock. Rhodes and DiBiase spend the next couple of minutes wearing Cena down, utilising quick tags and basic offence to get the job done. Cena fights back as usual, and is desperate for the tag, crawling over towards Jericho after earning the chance by exploding into Rhodes with a clothesline. Rhodes tags in DiBiase as Cena stretches out a hand to Jericho who doesn't actually appear to be making as much effort as he could to reach for Cena's hand. DiBiase, though runs straight across the ring and clatters Jericho off the apron before turning back towards Cena and stomping on his arms and legs. Jericho is back up on the apron and livid with DiBiase, starting to actually shout for Cena to make the tag and hold his hand out. DiBiase tags Rhodes back in and he traps Cena in his teams corner. Rhodes walks over towards Jericho with a smile and the champion starts to get in the ring. The official cuts him off allowing DiBiase to hold Cena in the corner as Rhodes runs at him and hits a clothesline. Jericho is shouting for Cena to make the tag now as Rhodes subdues his partner in his corner with some punches. Rhodes goes to whip Cena to the ropes, he counters and hits a Flying Shoulderblock, but is unable to quickly follow it up. Cena and Rhodes are up and walking towards each other and Rhodes gets the first shot in before pushing Cena to his corner, tagging in DiBiase. DiBiase throws a few punches before backing off and then running at Cena, but Cena falls out of the way and DiBiase plows into the turnbuckle, turns and Cena hits him with a belly to back twisting sideslam. Cena slowly crawls to his corner where Jericho is stretching out his arm but DiBiase tags in Rhodes. Rhodes again runs at Jericho and swings but Jericho ducks and Rhodes turns into a back body drop by Cena who tags in Jericho. Some of the crowd actually cheer as Jericho climbs into the ring and hits Rhodes with some huge punches before knocking DiBiase off the apron. He goes back to Rhodes and whips him off the ropes before hitting a back body drop and quickly hitting a Lionsault. Jericho makes the cover but Rhodes just kicks out. Jericho hauls Rhodes up but he pushes Jericho to the ropes and goes for a clothesline, Jericho ducks and trips Rhodes as he turns around, going for the Walls Of Jericho. He is just about to lock it in when DiBiase rushes into the ring, But Cena cuts him off and nails him with an FU!!! Jericho turns Rhodes over onto his belly as Cena locks the STFU onto DiBiase, and the Legacy members start tapping simultaneously!!!!

Cena is slower getting to his feet than Jericho and the two men come face to face, staring at each other. Cena nods his head in respect but Jericho just backs away and exits the ring, carrying his World Heavyweight Championship and sporting the bullish look we've become so used to seeing from him of late. RAW fades to commercials once more....

We return to RAW where the hobbling due of Rhodes and DiBiase have just returned to the Legacy locker room where Randy Orton is pacing around....

Cody Rhodes: ...Look.... Randy... we're sorry....we...

Ted DiBiase Jr: Randy... we let you down...

Randy Orton: It doesn't matter..... I'm more concerned with the way Stephanie is doing every little thing she can to screw me over.... I mean she's made my title match at Wrestlemania into a Triple Threat Match..... she's got me facing Chris Jericho and John Cena next week in a Handicap Match and tonight.... tonight she's got me facing Kane........ She can not keep doing this to me... and she won't.... luckily for her I have Kane to think about tonight, but rest assured, Stephanie McMahon will pay for what she has done to me...

CM Punk © vs Santino Marella (w/ Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes)

Santino is looking to convert the chance he earned last week into solid gold by winning the Intercontinental Championship from CM Punk, but he doesn't start well as Punk gets him in an armlock before pushing him away and hitting him with kicks all over the thighs and midriff. Santino runs to the safety of the ropes, forcing the referee to keep Punk at bay. Santino shouts over at Punk that he will enjoy being the new Intercontinental Champion before charging at the smiling champion and promptly being lifted onto Punk's shoulders, the champion quickly hitting a GTS and making the cover for a comfortable win!!!

Randy Orton vs Kane

Orton comes to the ring without Rhodes and DiBiase by his side, as they rest up following their match earlier on in the night. The pair circle each other before locking up and Orton gets Kane in a headlock. Kane pushes Orton to the ropes and takes him down with a shoulder charge, Orton quickly getting up to his feet but making sure to create distance, a small look of surprise on his face, or perhaps fear. Kane hits a couple of clotheslines and a big boot as he dominates the 'Legend Killer' but as he gets Orton in an arm lock, Orton uses his free hand to rake the eyes of the 'Big Red Machine' and takes control of the match by hitting an Inverted Backbreaker. Orton starts to punish Kane, a huge European Uppercut and an impressive standing dropkick right to the top of Kane's head just a couple of the moves he uses to subdue his larger opponent. Kane manages a small fightback, catching Orton in a sideslam and getting a 1 count but Orton is straight back on top of things. After 7 minutes or so, Orton is ready to end it after nailing a Scoop Slam on Kane, and stalks his prey. Kane stumbles to his feet and Orton jumps up to hit an RKO, but Kane pushes him away. Orton gets up as Kane regains his composure and takes Orton down with a huge boot to the side of the head as the 'Legend Killer' comes towards him. Orton is down and Kane starts signaling for the Chokeslam, his hand raised high in the air, his fingers wriggling as Orton slowly stumbles to his feet...... But no, Rhodes and DiBiase are in the ring and start throwing hands at Kane, forcing the official to end the match.....

Winner: Kane

Disqualification

Kane fights both men off and knocks DiBiase clean out of the ring with a right hand before taking Rhodes clean over the top rope with a clothesline. Kane turns back towards the middle of the ring and is taken out with an RKO!!!

Orton stands staring down at Kane, those soulless eyes looking almost right through the 'Big Red Machine' before he leaves up the ramp with Rhodes and DiBiase stumbling beside him....

An animated graphic pops up on the screen hyping the fact that Wrestlemania 25 is now just 34 days away...

We then flick to a backstage camera that shows Shawn Michaels taping up his wrists before tonights main event.....

Michael Cole: .....And speaking of Wrestlemania, will this man, Shawn Michaels earn the right to challenge The Undertaker by beating JBL tonight? We are just moments away from finding out...

Shawn Michaels vs JBL

The bell rings and the pair lock up in the center of the ring after briefly circling each other. Michaels quickly puts JBL in a headlock but is pushed to the ropes springing back and knocking JBL down with a clothesline and another before slowing down and allowing JBL to get to his feet. Another lockup and JBL pushes 'HBK' to the corner and the referee breaks them up. JBL steps back before pushing Michaels hard in the chest with both hands, 'HBK' quickly responding with a right hand as the official steps in again. The to-ing and fro-ing continues for the next few minutes as JBL knocks Michaels down as he springs off the ropes with a big shoulder block, whilst 'HBK' hits a flying clothesline as both men look to take the first big step towards their goal. After a short exchange of hands, Michaels bounces off the ropes straight into a big boot from JBL and JBL gets a 2 count. JBL stands up and drops an elbow on Michaels, but doesn't stop at 1, going on to drop 6 huge elbows across the lower back of the 'Heart Break Kid' before applying the Body Scissors. JBL has the move locked in for roughly a minute as Michaels struggles to break free, eventually getting into a position to elbow the side of JBL's head to force him to release the grip.

JBL gets up just before Michaels and lands a huge right hand, and another before clotheslining 'HBK' over the top rope. JBL follows Michaels to the outside and clubs him across the back before whipping him towards the steel ringpost, but Michaels counters and JBL goes shoulder first into the hard steel. Michaels climbs back into the ring and walks to the ropes on the side where JBL is pulling himself up by the barricade, and uses the top rope to catapult himself over and towards JBL, hitting him with a Crossbody, and knocking him back first against the barricade. Both men are down, although JBL is noticeably the worst for wear. Michaels gets up and rolls into the ring and back out to break the count, grabbing JBL and leading him around to the announce table side of the ring. 'HBK' looks to slam JBL's head onto the announce table but it's blocked and JBL raises a knee into Michaels' gut before throwing him into the ring and following him in. JBL clubs Michaels across the back before hitting a suplex, furthering the attack on his opponents back.

JBL whips Michaels to the ropes and swings his arm for a clothesline but Michaels ducks and takes JBL down with a flying forearm. Michaels kips up!... inverted atomic drop, right hand, inverted atomic drop, right hand and then a slam. Michaels is feeling a second wind and walks to the corner, holding his lower back as he goes. Michaels is slow to climb and JBL recovers, hitting 'HBK' with a big right hand as he stands on the middle turnbuckle. JBL climbs and clubs Michaels across the back. JBL positions Michaels up on the top turnbuckle and hits a few more right hands, 'HBK' almost toppling off but just keeping his grip. JBL wraps his arm around Michaels' neck and is looking for a Suplex but Michaels hits JBL a few times in the gut and then in the face, JBL reeling back but just holding on before exploding with a huge right hand to Michaels and getting his arm back around Michaels' neck.... Suplex off the top turnbuckle and JBL struggles into the cover after taking some impact himself....1...2... no Michaels' kicks out. JBL hauls him up but 'HBK' suddenly wraps his arm around JBL's head and plants him with a DDT before pulling up the waist of his tights and climbing the turnbuckle.... Flying Elbow Drop... no! JBL lifts his knees up and Michaels' drops his elbow right across them. JBL gets up first before Michaels who is holding his arm, JBL suddenly rushes at Michaels looking to hit the Clothesline From Hell.... Michaels ducks and as JBL bounces back off the ropes, he goes for Sweet Chin Music.... no! JBL ducks and explodes off the ropes again... Clothesline From Hell.... he hits it! but Michaels rolls right over and ends up right on the edge of the apron. JBL goes over to him but as soon as he places a hand on him, Michaels falls to the outside. JBL is frustrated but orders the official to count Michaels out. 7..8..9.. Michaels is on the apron and just under the ropes, he's safe... JBL can't believe it and grabs Michaels by the hair, pulling him up to his feet and dragging him to the center of the ring. JBL holds Michaels up and gets right up in his face before shouting 'Just die Shawn... Undertaker is mine'. JBL bounces off the ropes and explodes at Michaels with another Clothesline From Hell.... Michaels ducks and JBL bounces off the ropes.... Sweet Chin Music... an exhausted Michaels falls on top of JBL back first and the referee counts..... 1....2....3!! Michaels has done it!

With Mark Henry and Finlay advancing to the Semi-Finals last week, this week on ECW sees four more men trying to book their place in the next round of the number one contenders tournament for a shot at the ECW Championship at Wrestlemania 25. Ricky Ortiz will hope to pick up another win as he takes on one half of the World Tag Team Champions in The 'Miz'. Tommy Dreamer and The Boogeyman are the other two men looking to keep their dreams alive.

The other half of the World Tag Team Champions - John Morrison - will take on Smackdown's Hurricane Helms as both men look to join RAW's Kofi Kingston for the Money In The Bank Ladder match at Wrestlemania 25.

Also set to appear is the ECW Champion himself, Jack Swagger!

ECW Championship #1 Contenders Tournament - Ricky Ortiz vs The 'Miz' - Pfft, come on. I've only seen Ortiz in one mod, and in it, he's terrible. Can't see him beating Miz, who actually has youth and some upside to him.

ECW Championship #1 Contenders Tournament - Tommy Dreamer vs The Boogeyman - Dreamer's quest for retaining employment has looked hopeless so far, I suspect Boogeyman's run of sqaushing what ECW considers to be main eventers continues.

Money In The Bank Qualifying Match - John Morrison vs Hurricane Helms - Something of an upset by game standards, but diary-wise Helms has been given more of a push, feuding with both Shelton Benjamin and Matt Hardy. Morrison has done much less, so I feel Helms is being made stronger at this point. Thusly, I pick him for this.

We are greeted with the usual pyros and the sight of the fans screaming and waving their signs before we head over to the announce table....

Todd Grisham: Welcome to ECW, and tonight, it is all about earning your place. I'm Todd Grisham here with Matt Striker, and Matt, tonight sees the last 2 semi final matches in the ECW Championship Number One Contenders Tournament, as well as a qualifying match for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at Wrestlemania 25....

Matt Striker: So much on the line tonight for several superstars as they look to make a huge impression.....

The crowd start cheering as the music of Finlay starts to play, and he makes his way down the ramp, without Hornswoggle, taking up a place at the announce table....

Finlay: Good evening, fellas

Todd Grisham: Finlay, let me say what a pleasure it is to have you out here with us tonight, but I have to ask, where's Hornswoggle?

Finlay: Oh he's around, Todd... trust me.....

DJ Gabriel comes out accompanied by Alicia Fox, before Jack Swagger makes his way out, looking over at Finlay with a furrowed brow....

Todd Grisham: I don't think there's any need to ask why you're out here tonight Finlay!

Finlay: Oh... I'm just out here to keep an eye on someone I may be facing very soon...

Jack Swagger vs DJ Gabriel (w/ Alicia Fox)

A pretty routine victory for Swagger, who keeps looking over at Finlay all match, clearly not trusting the Irishman, who in fairness never makes a move from his seat. Swagger puts Gabriel away with the Gutwrench Powerbomb.

Winner: Jack Swagger

Pinfall

3:31

After the match, Swagger leans over the ropes to stare at Finlay, and shouting at him asking what he's doing out here. Finlay just holds up his hands and stays in his seat. Swagger points at Finlay and mouths something at him before backing away from the ropes and he falls right on his ass, Hornswoggle having snuck into the ring and got down on all fours behind the champion. Hornswoggle quickly rolls out of the ring and hides under the ring as an angry Swagger gets up and looks around for the culprit. Swagger looks over at Finlay and shouts 'You're gonna pay, Finlay', before leaving the ring and backing off up the ramp as ECW fades to commercials......

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We return to ECW where we see a still livid Jack Swagger making his way backstage with his title draped over his shoulder. He is suddenly stopped by Josh Mathews....

Josh Mathews: Jack, if I could just get a word....

Swagger is reluctant to stop, but does, rolling his eyes and looking at Josh....

Josh Mathews: Jack.... With Wrestlemania now just under 5 weeks away, and you defending your title that night, do you have any thoughts on who you expect to win the number one contenders tournament and earn the right to face you at Wrestlemania 25?

Jack Swagger: First of all let me say what a great pleasure it will be to defend my ECW Title at Wrestlemania 25, but it really doesn't matter who I face.... I am undefeated here in the WWE and it is going to stay that way until well after Wrestlema.....

Swagger stops speaking when he sees someone walking towards him.....

Tommy Dreamer: Jack..... I don't think I've ever come across anyone as arrogant as you are. Last week you disrespected me and tonight you disrespect the entire ECW locker room....

Jack Swagger: What of it....

Tommy Dreamer: I and everybody else in the locker room is sick and tired of you walking around like you own the place so how about next week you get taught a little lesson in respect, how about your undefeated streak comes to an end, how about you face me in a No Disqualifications Match........

Jack Swagger: You got it.....

Swagger walks off after giving Dreamer a derisory look and we head back into the arena....

Hurricane Helms vs John Morrison (w/ The 'Miz')

Helms and Morrison circle each other at the bell before hooking up and getting started. The first few minutes sees a period of quick counters, dropkicks and punches until Morrison takes control by kicking Helms in the gut as he looks to hit a move off the middle rope. Both men gain numerous nearfalls before the end of the match. With Helms on top, he looks to end the match but 'Miz' gets up on the apron. Helms gets momentarily distracted but ducks a clothesline from Morrison and dropkicks him in the back, knocking him straight into 'Miz', who falls off the apron and lands hard on the floor. Morrison is dazed and Helms is eying him up as the referee looks down at 'Miz'. Morrison is stumbling as Helms waits for his moment to hit a Single Knee Facebreaker, but he is suddenly spun around by Shelton Benjamin who hits him with Paydirt before rolling out of the ring and crouching down against the apron out of the referee's sight. Morrison doesn't seem to know what has happened but covers Helms, hooking both legs as the referee makes a count to 3!

Winner: John Morrison

Pinfall

8:35

Morrison celebrates before going to check on 'Miz' as Shelton Benjamin leaves up the ramp with a satisfied smile on his face, Todd Grisham and Matt Striker expressing confusion as to why Benjamin has intervened as we fade to commercials....

We return from a break to see Tiffany standing backstage talking to a random staff member when Ricky Ortiz comes walking up to her....

Tiffany: Hi Ricky...

Ricky Ortiz: Hey Tiffany, I just wanted to thank you for last week, it looks like you really turned my luck around...

Tiffany: He-he... no worries Ricky, it was a pleasure to help...

Ricky Ortiz: You know.... I've got another match against the 'Miz' tonight to advance in the number one contenders tournament and I was just wondering if you might want to erm.... wish me good luck again.....

Tiffany smiles and looks at Ricky coyly...

Tiffany: Sure....

Tiffany leans over and kisses Ortiz on the cheek like last week....

Tiffany: Good luck....

Tiffany smiles again and walks away, Ortiz watching her leave with a delighted smile on his face.....

'Miz' is looking to qualify for the semi finals of the ECW Title #! contenders tournament, having already had a small hand in helping his partner qualify for Money In The Bank earlier on. Dreamer has seen it all and doesn't look put off by Boogeyman's mannerisms as much as some others would be, and takes it to Boogeyman from the start. Boogeyman isn't making up the numbers though and the pair contest a very even battle. Boogey hits some big punches to get Dreamer reeling and starts to take control.

Dreamer starts to fight back, prompting Jack Swagger to start walking down the ramp. Swagger stops at the bottom of the ramp and a distracted Dreamer turns away from Boogeyman, before turning back and finding Boogey up on his feet. Boogeyman puts both hands around Dreamers throat and lifts him up for a forward falling Chokebomb but Dreamer counters and hits a huge DDT. Dreamer makes the cover but at 2, Boogey is pulled from the ring and knocked down with a right hand from Swagger, giving the official no choice but to disqualify Dreamer, costing him his place in the semi finals!

Winner: The Boogeyman

Swagger backs off up the ramp, smiling towards an angered Dreamer who is pacing around the ring, staring right at the ECW Champion as ECW fades out......

Last week on Smackdown, Matt Hardy told his younger brother Jeff that he would get exactly what he wanted this week, a match between the Hardy brothers. Despite Jeff's reluctance to face his brother, WWE.com can officially announce that this week on Smackdown, Jeff and Matt Hardy are indeed scheduled to go one on one. Will Matt regret it or can he prove that he is the better Hardy?

It's a clash of the giants this week on Smackdown as The Big Show and Mark Henry face off in a Money In The Bank qualifier. Who ever wins, it's an ominous sign for the rest of the competitors who will seek to earn a guaranteed title shot in just a few weeks time at Wrestlemania 25!

The Divas will be in action as Maria and Michelle McCool go one on one to determine the number one contender to Maryse's Divas Championship.

MVP will hope to make a strong case for a title shot as he goes one on one with United States Champion Shelton Benjamin in a non-title match!

R-Truth will face a familiar foe as he takes on The Brian Kendrick, the pair having come together on a few occasions of late.

All this plus appearances by WWE Champion Triple H, Edge, Umaga and more of Smackdown's top superstars

Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy

Money In The Bank Qualifying Match - The Big Show vs Mark Henry

#1 Contenders Match to the Divas Championship - Maria vs Michelle McCool

MVP vs Shelton Benjamin

R-Truth vs The Brian Kendrick

Just a heads up for anyone interested, I will be on holiday from Thursday to Sunday so Smackdown will be up Sunday night. Raw will be on Tuesday, ECW Thursday, Smackdown on Saturday, and back to Raw on Monday.

Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy - Matt wins through some underhanded tactics, thus furthering the feud.

Money In The Bank Qualifying Match - The Big Show vs Mark Henry - Bigger, and better, man wins.

#1 Contenders Match to the Divas Championship - Maria vs Michelle McCool - Maria'd just be an odd choice.

MVP vs Shelton Benjamin - The US Title scene has looked rather crowded as of late, so I suspect MVP takes this to add himself into the mix.

R-Truth vs The Brian Kendrick - R-Truth is pretty damned over in most mods I've seen, a loss to Kendrick might be a bit much.
