Love the finish to the main event, I can just see Century soaring through the air Superman style to hit that move. :) And a Chuck Norris endorsed marathon match of the night... man, those two are gonna be feeling the effects of that match for a long while yet. And the best bit of all, Nuclear picks up the win by punching someone in the face. In fact, three signature/finishers being used at the end makes me happy. Good to see Nukes does remember how to win, that 2 match losing streak was starting to worry me. :p

One team revealed for the Tag Team Turmoil too... methinks I should probably get back to my PMs to see if anything is going to happen there. ;)

Waitaminute! Rannulf, a giant blobular German has 0 popularity in Los Angeles?

Gah...apparently no two Umlauts are the same. C-BOT!!!!:p

RANNULF'S POPULARITY IS 19, NOT 0 AS SHOWN. PLEASE ADJUST YOUR PICKS ACCORDINGLY!

It should read Dante Lorenzo (1-1, 19%) vs. Rannulf von Krüshengburg (1-1, 19%).

I'll fix it shortly.

Bet you're glad someone is overseeing this mess. :p If only I could get that referee to realise he made a fast count on the first show of season and then I'd be really happy. :p

Yeah I think you and I are the only ones whose tag partners didn't return this year.

I've been toying around with an idea in my head for a while... might finally have a good way to get Nuclear out of my head and into some sort of text based, character driven entertainment thing... similar to Scott Stevens, but actually entertaining. :p

Press Conference with Carlisle and Stanton at Stanton Corp. HQ

Stanton's PR Officer I like to introduce my boss the real star of the League Benjamin T. Stanton Jr.

Stanton As you know I am man who only makes they right decision in business and in life.

Person #1 Is this about your girlfriends party in which you more money than a developing Country.

Stanton That is later. This a much more professional meeting. It is about one of the most important events in the league Tag Team Turmoil. To do better I am picking a partner, who I feel is a man of integrity someone who is nearly as good as me in the ring, results or not.

Person #2 So I assume you mean the phoenix

Stanton No I don't Mr. Divorce Mountain, who in an unrelated matter I will be funding his ex-wife divorce case.

Person #1 and 2 Get on with it!

Stanton I will be teaming with the man who entatainer of the season last season, Ian Carlisle.

Everyone in the crowd~ huh? wait? what?

Stanton Well I could explain or he could

Person #2 He is here

Stanton Yes he is here it is a joint conference. Without further ado introducing my friend Ian Carlisle.

Carlisle So you all want to know why I have become partners with a man who I have on the face of nothing in coming with. Well you are dead wrong. Me and him have more things in common than you think. We are both young Dynamic Wrestling in the League. We share a business which you know is our business and I suppose it is time Ben that we can bring out the Belts

Person #3 I know my wrestling, you guys have never teamed before.

Stanton Firstly I don't fake titles I win them. we won the Pan-European Tag Team Tourney to win these. if you haven't heard of the tournament it is because you are an Ignorant SWF swine.

Carlisle Anyway , I believe that a person has a bad reputation in the locker room but is not bad to you, then guess what that is just not my problem. He has not given me any issues to deal with him and Triumph is ungrateful for me teaming with him. Oh I will try and push him to be more charitable.

Stanton This press conference is over please leave my property in 5 minutes or I will realize my security guards.

Season Five, Week Three

December 5, 2011

http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/ae344/ShadowedFlames/GDS%20League%20Stuff/BeyondRingsideBanner.jpg

Good evening, everyone, and welcome to Beyond Ringside! I'm Tori Montgomery, and after two weeks of the new season, only four wrestlers remain undefeated. Tonight, we'll take a gander at the current (mostly tied) standings, take a look at the card for tomorrow night, and I'll do my best to befuddle everyone with a bunch of numbers and formulas...you may know it as "By The Numbers."

With that said, let's get started, shall we?

CURRENT SEASON STANDINGS

ALPHA DIVISION

1. Maxx Skabb (2-0, 3.500 AMR)

2. Scott Stevens (1-1, 5.500 AMR)

3. Diamond (1-1, 5.500 AMR)

4. Thor Hammerskald (1-1, 5.000 AMR)

5. Pizza Mask III (1-1, 3.500 AMR)

6. Nuclear Templeton (1-1, 1.500 AMR)

7. Sebastian Moore (1-1, 1.000 AMR)

7. Jack Lightning (1-1, 1.000 AMR)

9. The Phoenix (1-1, 0.000 AMR)

10. Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (0-2, 0.500 AMR)

OMEGA DIVISION

1. Master Imoka (2-0, 7.000 AMR)

2. Super Century (2-0, 6.000 AMR)

3. Sean (2-0, 0.500 AMR)

4. Johnny Triumph (1-1, 9.000 AMR)

5. Dante Lorenzo (1-1, 7.500 AMR)

6. Robbie Maynard (1-1, 3.500 AMR)

7. Rannulf von Krüshengberg (1-1, 2.500 AMR)

8. Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (0-2, 10.000 AMR)

9. Ian Carlisle (0-2, 7.000 AMR)

10. Tarik Nolan (0-2, 3.000 AMR)

BY THE NUMBERS

Long-time followers of this column may remember that at one point, I had posted a Sabermetric-esque By the Numbers. Now that I have an actual name for this rating, I'll be doing that again this week. For those of you who are either new to this feature, or may have forgotten, I'll explain the mechanics again.

A League member's Efficiency Rating (EFR) is derived from several aspects:

1) Winning matches quicker than the overall League Average Match Time,

2) Winning with more offense than the Average Winner's Offensive Percentage,

3) Taking longer to lose a match than the overall League Average Match Time, and

4) Having more offense in a loss than the Average Loser's Offensive Percentage.

Two scores are generated—one for the wins a wrestler has, and one for the losses. Those scores are then weighted for how much of a percentage they relate to a wrestler's win-loss record (e.g. a person with a 40-10 record will have their score calculated with 80% of the winning EFR and 20% of the losing EFR). The results of that computation are then added together to end up with the overall EFR of a League member over the course of their tenure in The League.

The higher a positive number, the better. This means that a wrestler is winning matches faster and more decisively than the average, while taking longer to lose and doing better offensively while doing so.

If a wrestler's EFR is negative, it means that they are taking longer to defeat opponents than the average League member does, plus they are likely losing faster than the average League member and without a lot of offense in doing so.

When these scores are published, an "average" line is also included.

With that, let's start crunching some numbers, shall we?

OVERALL LEAGUE EFFICIENCY RATING

Averages as of time of posting: 12:24 match time, 54.30% offense for winner / 45.70% offense for loser

1. Dante Lorenzo (10-6): 149.459 EFR

2. Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (4-12): 103.481 EFR

3. Sean (42-16): 86.084 EFR

4. Sebastian Moore (15-15): 74.778 EFR

5. Robbie Maynard (33-25): 69.673 EFR

6. Ian Carlisle (8-22): 57.038 EFR

7. The Phoenix (32-26): 53.849 EFR

8. Diamond (28-30): 53.517 EFR

9. Nuclear Templeton (38-20): 52.369 EFR

10. Johnny Triumph (35-23): 16.140 EFR

11. Super Century (10-20): -36.435 EFR

12. Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (6-10): -41.088 EFR

13. Rannulf von Krüshengberg (7-9): -42.697 EFR

14. Jack Lightning (4-12): -44.725 EFR

15. Scott Stevens (22-12): -73.087 EFR

16. Maxx Skabb (31-27): -78.506 EFR

17. Tarik Nolan (29-29): -132.099 EFR

18. Thor Hammerskald (23-21): -138.607 EFR

19. Master Imoka (8-8): -146.785 EFR

20. Pizza Mask III (6-10): -203.064 EFR

PREDICTION CENTRAL

Most Correct for the Week: 7, by Wrestling Century

Most Points for the Week: 22.41, by Wrestling Century. This was fueled by being the only person to pick Super Century's upset of Tarik Nolan (worth 12 points in and of itself).

In the usual early season chaos, that's enough for him to jump to the top spot after the second week of the season, with last week's top two remaining in second and third.

CURRENT PREDICTION STANDINGS

1. Wrestling Century: 28.71 points (22.41 last week), 11 total picks correct.

2. GruntMark: 27.62 points (12.03 last week), 15 total picks correct.

4. Jman2k3: 21.95 points (8.24 last week), 12 total picks correct.

5. Ranson: 21.12 points (8.03 last week), 13 total picks correct.

6. Dangrel: 19.10 points (9.04 last week), 11 total picks correct.

7. TheKenwyne: 17.16 points (6.24 last week), 11 total picks correct.

8. Derek B: 16.59 points (9.74 last week), 11 total picks correct.

<hr>

THIS WEEK'S SCHEDULE:

Los Angeles, California (US: South West)

(American Style crowd, Ref Bumps allowed, Sports Entertainment style match)

OMEGA DIVISION: Dante Lorenzo (1-1, 19%) vs. Rannulf von Krüshengberg (1-1, 19%)

Career Series: Rannulf von Krüshengberg, 1 - 0 (7.000 AMR)

Talk about a heck of a way to start the night! A match that could be the semi-main draws opening duty, and threatens to be the match of the night. Rannulf may have the League series to date, but Dante has had better luck adapting to the League itself. I think he'll even the series with a win here.

Tori's Pick: Dante Lorenzo

OMEGA DIVISION: Sean (2-0, 15%) vs. Master Imoka (2-0, 11%)

Career Series: Sean, 2 - 0 (2.000 AMR)

Is this the week where Imoka gets his first win against Sean? By the numbers, I'd say no...but I have a hunch. I'm going against standard League philosophy and betting against the former League Champ.

Tori's Pick: Master Imoka

OMEGA DIVISION: Johnny Triumph (1-1, 15%) vs. Super Century (2-0, 14%)

Career Series: Johnny Triumph, 3 - 1 (5.250 AMR)

As much as I'd like to pick Century here, a 3-1 series record is a bit much for me to ignore. Century's still a bright spot in the young season; I just think Triumph has his number.

Tori's Pick: Johnny Triumph

ALPHA DIVISION: Nuclear Templeton (1-1, 15%) vs. Thor Hammerskald (1-1, 15%)

Regular Season: Nuclear Templeton, 1 - 0 (8.000 AMR)

I'm going to preemptively call this match of the night. Frankie has been telling me all week that Thor has some sort of new move he's been working on, and we may be seeing it this week. That said, I'm on the fence about this match; I can see it going either way. A coin flip will decide it for me, in the favor of....

Tori's Pick: Thor Hammerskald

ALPHA DIVISION: Pizza Mask III (1-1, 15%) vs. The Phoenix (1-1, 15%)

Career Series: The Phoenix, 2 - 0 (2.000 AMR)

Both men suffered setbacks last week, but despite the 2-0 series record, I think Pizza Mask's going to show up ready to fight for one reason—he does not find it acceptable to lose to a hated rival like he did last week. Phoenix will be in the wrong place for this one, and Pizza Mask delivers the win.

Tori's Pick: Pizza Mask III

OMEGA DIVISION: Robbie Maynard (1-1, 15%) vs. Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (0-2, 15%)

Career Series: Robbie Maynard, 2 - 0 (1.000 AMR)

All the signs point to Maynard picking up the win here, and I have to concur.

Tori's Pick: Robbie Maynard

OMEGA DIVISION: Tarik Nolan (0-2, 15%) vs. Ian Carlisle (0-2, 17%)

Career Series: First Meeting

Someone's going to get their first win of the season here, barring double countout shenanigans. Nolan needs to get back on track, and this may be the week he was looking for.

Tori's Pick: Tarik Nolan

ALPHA DIVISION: Scott Stevens (1-1, 21%) vs. Sebastian Moore (1-1, 15%)

Career Series: Scott Stevens, 1 - 0 (4.000 AMR)

This is a match I will be very interested in watching. These two are no strangers to each other in LPW, and the rivalry is renewed here. Stevens won their last match in The League; I think Moore evens it up and sends a message to The Scorpion that his end of days may be at hand.

Tori's Pick: Sebastian Moore

ALPHA DIVISION: Maxx Skabb (2-0, 15%) vs. Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (0-2, 23%)

Career Series: Eidenhoek Gaiaspade, 1 - 0 (3.000 AMR)

Could Gaius stun Skabb again? Of course. Will he, though? Probably not, but I'm going to pick the upset regardless.

Tori's Pick: Eidenhoek Gaiaspade

ALPHA DIVISION HARDCORE MATCH: Diamond (1-1, 21%) vs. Jack Lightning (1-1, 20%)

Career Series: First Meeting

League Career—Hardcore Matches: Diamond (1-3), Jack Lightning (NR)

Here's another coin flip match. Both are accomplished fliers, and hardcore is not really up either wrestler's alley. I'm taking Diamond just because she has the experience in League hardcore matches that Lightning lacks.

Tori's Pick: Diamond

@PizzaMaskIII- Wait, I'm confused. Is Tori saying I'm still pissed over a certain comedy wrestler beating me by pulling my tights? #ScottStevensIsSmelly

@PizzaMaskIII- Or that Phoenix is a hated rival?

@PizzaMaskIII- I mean, I guess he's a rival, but I don't hate the guy. Worst he ever did to me was steal my parking space last season.

@PizzaMaskIII- I don't hate anyone here, except those who are dorky champions of garbage feds. #ScottStevensIsSmelly

@PizzaMaskIII- I had you rolled up and you used my tights to roll out of it.

@PizzaMaskIII- Course pulling a guy's pants down is probably how you got that garbage belt in the first place. #ScottStevensIsSmelly

@PizzaMaskIII- And any title that has YOU as champion isn't worth the leather it's made from.

@PizzaMaskIII- Oh, and speaking of #RealityCheck , Tori is not into you. Nobody blames you for trying, hell I would but I have a girlfriend, but you have zero chance.

@PizzaMaskIII- And since you're a moron and you're probably wondering what a zero is, well, I'd start by looking in the mirror. #ScottStevensIsSmelly

He kept getting distracted watching me play Diablo :p

Maybe if you didn't keep dying (or nearly dying), it might have been done on time. :p

Here's week three, folks. I'll post the schedule tomorrow when I can remember to grab it from my work computer where I had it all set up.

Season Five, Week Three

Los Angeles, California

THE LEAGUE: SEASON FIVE, WEEK THREE

Los Angeles's Staples Center erupts in cheers as a capacity crowd welcomes The League to this area of the world for the first time in its relatively short history. As the camera finishes its pan, we head to ringside and our usual three-person crew.

Bob Sinclair: Good evening, everyone, and welcome to week three of The League! Bob Sinclair, here at ringside as always with the two best color commentators in the game today, Frankie Garnett and Tori Montgomery!

Frankie Garnett: And don't you forget that!

Tori Montgomery: Is it really necessary to give him any more of an ego boost, Bob?

Bob Sinclair: Point taken. In any event, we have an absolutely rabid crowd tonight; I don't recall seeing a crowd this pumped for an event in my years of broadcasting wrestling!

Frankie Garnett: What d'you expect, Bob? We've been at this for two years almost and never been here! Of course they're going to go nuts!

Tori Montgomery: While Frankie has a point, I say we cut right to the action, guys. Let's get the night started!

Bob Sinclair: I'm not going to argue that one, Tori. Let's head to the ring to get the night started!

OMEGA DIVISION: Dante Lorenzo (1-1, 19%) vs. Rannulf von Krüshengberg (1-1, 19%)

Three Days Grace's "Riot" hits the speakers to a chorus of jeers as the first Italian-born member of The League emerges from the back, ignoring the crowd in the arena as he mentally prepares for his upcoming match. Reaching the ring, he climbs up the steps and enters between the ropes, his face never losing a look of confident indifference.

Amelia Williams: Our opening contest is an Omega Division bout scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Florence, Italy, weighing 291 pounds...Dante Lorenzo!

Bob Sinclair: Though we haven't heard from either man this week, you have to think that both of them are ready for tonight's match.

Tori Montgomery: It's a match for bragging rights, for certain. Not to mention that establishing a tie-breaker early could be important come the end of the season.

Frankie Garnett: That's still five months away, Tori. Why worry now?

Tori Montgomery: Of all people, I'd expect you to think the opposite....

The opening to Rammstein's "Mein Teil" hits the speakers as the largest member of The League emerges, causing everyone with something that could even remotely be considered food to get away from the entranceway as quickly as possible for fear of losing their food...and at least a body part or two.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from der Schwarzwald, Deutschland, weighing 421 pounds..."Der Panzer" Rannulf von Krüshengberg!

Frankie Garnett: True story, y'all. I heard he single-handedly shut down one of L.A.'s biggest buffet restaurants.

Bob Sinclair: Beg your pardon?

Frankie Garnett: Apparently, he caused the restaurant to shut down because they went bankrupt trying to keep him fed.

Tori Montgomery: I'm gonna have to call shenanigans on that, Frankie....

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of seven minutes and ten seconds... Rannulf von Krüshengberg!

Bob Sinclair: And Rannulf is able to even their League series!

Tori Montgomery: A quick, hard-hitting match to start the night off. This is going to be a good night, I can feel it.

Frankie Garnett: Just like Thor's opponent will be feeling it when the big man breaks out his new move later tonight!

Bob Sinclair: I heard about that, Frankie. What is it?

Frankie Garnett: It's going to be great; that's all you need to know!

Tori Montgomery: Okay....

OMEGA DIVISION: Sean (2-0, 15%) vs. Master Imoka (2-0, 11%)

"You're the Best" blasts from the arena speakers as The League's lone Samoan emerges from the back, staring a hole through the ring as if by doing so, he can change it to his preferred medium of a martial arts mat. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound.

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall in the Omega Division! Introducing first, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka!

Tori Montgomery: We're only two weeks into the season, and Imoka is my pick for surprise of the early season. He can really raise some eyebrows by taking out a former League Champion tonight.

Frankie Garnett: Who cares, I just wanna see him kick some guy's head off!

Bob Sinclair: Even if it's Sean?

Frankie Garnett: Why not?

Tori Montgomery: Never thought I'd see the day....

Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart" hits the arena speakers as a spotlight shines down on the top of the ramp. Emerging from the back, the former League Champion walks out as he throws a hand into the air, causing pyro to erupt from behind him in a manner of paparazzi photographing him. With a smirk, the champ heads to the ring, the spotlight remaining on him the whole time.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, now residing in Los Angeles, California, weighing 230 pounds..."Hollywood" Sean!

Bob Sinclair: To no one's surprise, Sean has also started the season undefeated.

Tori Montgomery: He's been by far the most consistent League member, as his career record would indicate.

Frankie Garnett: Considering he's even got a catchphrase about him that he didn't even create, I'd say so.

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of three minutes and twenty seconds...Master Imoka!

Bob Sinclair: Guys, I don't think I've ever seen Sean so utterly dominated in a match!

Tori Montgomery: I don't think I believe what I just saw.

Frankie Garnett: This...kind of worries me. Imoka may be the one to watch out for. I need to make sure Thor's aware of what just happened.

OMEGA DIVISION: Johnny Triumph (1-1, 15%) vs. Super Century (2-0, 14%)

Without warning, all of the lights go off in the arena, casting everything into pitch blackness. A few seconds pass before a spotlight shines on one of the turnbuckles, revealing no one there. This is repeated with all four corners, each revealing no one there. Finally, one last spotlight shines down onto the middle of the ring, which reveals the caped form of The League's resident superhero, who stands with arms folded and staring intently into the audience.

Amelia Williams: This Omega Division contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from the Halls of Justice, weighing 205 pounds...Super Century!

Bob Sinclair: Tori, are you surprised that Century is undefeated this early on?

Tori Montgomery: Not really, Bob. After all, it's been a full season since he was in The League, he has the element of surprise working for him.

A remixed version of "Ecstasy of Gold" hits the speakers, which is nearly drowned out in jeers as he emerges from the entryway. Instead of taking the steps closest to him, he walks around to the opposite side of the ring, drawing in more jeers as he finally climbs the steps and enters the ring.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Des Moines, Iowa, weighing 228 pounds...Johnny Triumph!

Bob Sinclair: I know it's too early to call this a must-win for Triumph, but it would be demoralizing to start 1-2 after last season's playoff appearance.

Tori Montgomery: Indeed, Bob. It's looking like the Omega Division is going to be a tight race all season long!

ALPHA DIVISION: Nuclear Templeton (1-1, 15%) vs. Thor Hammerskald (1-1, 15%)

Billy Idol's "Shock to the System" hits the speakers, bringing the crowd to their feet in ovation as one of the League's more recognizable faces emerges from backstage and across the green-tinted stage. As he hits the end of the entrance ramp, he throws his arms into the air, sending a pair of mushroom clouds into the air from the stage as he makes his way to the ring and through the ropes.

Amelia Williams: This is our first Alpha Division contest of the evening, and it is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Atlantic City, New Jersey, weighing 278 pounds...Nuclear Templeton!

Bob Sinclair: Tori, I've heard rumors that Nuclear is actively seeking a new tag partner with his former partner no longer a part of The League.

Tori Montgomery: Those rumors are accurate, Bob. I know of at least two people that Nuclear has approached, but I'm not at liberty at this time to disclose just who those people were.

Amon Amarth's "Death in Fire" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. Behind him, his manager/League color commentator can be see giving him encouragement as the Viking enters the confines of the squared circle.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Frankie Garnett, from Oslo, Norway, weighing 310 pounds...Thor Hammerskald!

Tori Montgomery: Thor, on the other hand, has already agreed to team up with Sean in seven weeks, making sure they get everything ready for their shot at tag team glory.

ALPHA DIVISION: Pizza Mask III (1-1, 15%) vs. The Phoenix (1-1, 15%)

The theme to Samurai Pizza Cats plays as a van painted red with the words "Pizza Wagon" on the side comes down to ringside. Emerging from the van, the former backyard wrestler is seen in his trademark Pizza Hut uniform and new tights that resemble a cheese pizza on the left side, and a shot of PM3 bashing the Noid in the face with a chair. Reaching into the van to pull out a Pain Pizza, he hands it off to one lucky fan at ringside before hopping over the top rope and entering the ring to the cheers of the fans in attendance.

Amelia Williams: This is an Alpha Division contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Your Friendly Neighborhood Pizzeria, weighing 199 pounds...Pizza Mask III!

Bob Sinclair: Tori, any remarks to Pizza Mask's tweets regarding your prediction?

Tori Montgomery: Yeah. Anyone who you spend a great deal of time in a back-and-forth on Twitter with has the right to be called your rival, "comedy wrestler" or no. PM3 needs to get his mind off of Stevens and onto his opponent tonight.

Within Temptation's "Stand My Ground" hits the arena speakers as a League Original emerges from the back, through a wall of flame pyro. His face gives no emotions away as he walks to the ring, shadowboxing as he stops at the ring steps. A moment later, he slams both fists into the top step before looking up the heavens with a cry of "For the Fallen" coming from his lips. With no further ado, he steps between the ropes, ready to go to war once again.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the End of Nowhere, weighing 337 pounds...this is The Phoenix!

Bob Sinclair: Any word on Phoenix's managerial situation, Tori?

Tori Montgomery: Not as of yet...though he has other issues to deal with as well.

Bob Sinclair: Oh?

Tori Montgomery: Apparently, the rumor is that Phoenix and Tarik Nolan may not be teaming this season; this could make for an interesting tag tournament if those are true.

Bob Sinclair: Tori?

Tori Montgomery: At this rate, he won't even need a manager!

OMEGA DIVISION: Robbie Maynard (1-1, 15%) vs. Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (0-2, 15%)

"Here Comes the Money" hits the speakers, as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, with a beautiful woman hanging off his left arm. He pays no attention to the jeering fans, his attitude simply screaming "I'm better than you."

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall in the Omega Division. Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Missy Callistra, from Providence, Rhode Island, weighing 224 pounds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!

Frankie Garnett: ...great. So I come back in time to watch someone get destroyed by the League Champion?

Tori Montgomery: No one is forcing you to stay out here, Frankie....

Bob Sinclair: ....

The opening riffs of Metallica's "Master of Puppets" hits the speakers, drawing a mixed reaction from the crowd as last season's champion emerges from the stage, bathed in a blue light shining beneath him. After pausing to mentally prepare himself, he walks to the ring, belt slung over his right shoulder and his eyes never leaving the squared circle as he climbs onto the apron and ducks between the ropes.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Liverpool, England, weighing 251 pounds, he is the reigning and defending League Champion...Robbie Maynard!

Bob Sinclair: Maynard has shown signs of being in the zone, but he's been wildly inconsistent in the past.

ALPHA DIVISION: Scott Stevens (1-1, 21%) vs. Sebastian Moore (1-1, 15%)

It is to Muse's "Assassin" that he emerges, an arrogant smirk crossing his face as he soaks in the jeers of the crowd. Looking up at the spotlight for a moment, his smirk seems to get even bigger as he walks down the ramp, ignoring the catcalls of the crowd as he ascends the steps, wipes his feet on the apron, and steps through the ropes, looking more at ease than the casual fan may think.

Amelia Williams: This Alpha Division contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Manchester, England, weighing 237 pounds...Sebastian Moore!

Bob Sinclair: This is a bout I'm really looking forward to.

Tori Montgomery: Indeed. They may have only met once in League competition but these two are no strangers to each other in other promotions.

Frankie Garnett: Seriously, do they pay us for the free advertising we're giving them?

Tori Montgomery: Take it up with the front office, Frankie. I'm just reporting the facts.

The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "I am the Scorpion, whoa!" The jeering intensifies as a mash-up of "I Stand Alone" and "Amazing" hits the speakers, drawing out the reigning Legacy Pro Wrestling champion, complete with belt around the waist. Walking down the aisle, he talks trash the entire way while pointing at the LPW title around his waist. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares down his opponent, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions as he drops to the mat.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Houston, Texas, weighing 256 pounds...The Master of Disaster, The King of Sting, The Venomous One and Only, and the reigning Legacy Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion... he is "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!

Bob Sinclair: Stevens looks very much at ease tonight.

Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare" blares throughout the arena as spotlights begin to pan over the audience, as if looking for someone. A dim red light shines on the entryway, revealing a hulking figure making his way to ringside, with two more men hiding just at the fringes of the spotlight, their eyes never leaving the form of the big man. As the refrain hits, the spotlights immediately focus on him as white strobe lights flash on the entrance stage. He slides under the bottom rope, his orange jumpsuit a stark contrast to most of the clothing in the audience--as if the gold belt really fits in--as the song fades into silence.

Amelia Williams: This is an Alpha Division match scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from the Orange County Correctional Facility, weighing 289 pounds, he is one-half of the reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions...Maxx Skabb!

ALPHA DIVISION HARDCORE MATCH: Diamond (1-1, 21%) vs. Jack Lightning (1-1, 20%)

Metallica's "Ride the Lightning" hits the speakers as the first Canadian to enter The League emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease as he steps onto the ring apron and leaps over the top rope. Climbing onto the turnbuckles, he raises an arm in the air and drinks in the cheers of the crowd before dropping back to the mat and preparing for his match.

Amelia Williams: This is our main event, a hardcore match scheduled for one fall in the Alpha Division! Introducing first, from London, Ontario, weighing 233 pounds...Jack Lightning!
