ShadowedFlames
Just saying, folks. TLC was awesome to go see live and in person. MLT, myself, and two other friends had an absolute blast watching it live. It's 2:30 AM local time. The adrenaline is wearing off. Off 2 bed [/Jman] since I was wise and put in a vacation day for tomorrow, so I don't have to be awake in 2.5 hours. League stuff to be done at some point before 8 PM local time: Beyond Ringside, update database.

ShadowedFlames
Awesome. It's been about 22 years since I saw a match in person Was my second time, and first since the build to WrestleMania 11. Was MLT's first time. My voice is still hoarse. I'll get the preshow posted tomorrow, as I've been recovering from last night and fuming that my damn car still is not fixed yet. I'll try for the usual full show but failing that I'll just make picks and Tori can blame it on a family get-together before the holidays or a Christmas shopping spree or something like that. Dangrel
Glad you guys had a good time! I went to Wrestlemania 23 at Ford Field in Detroit and it was terrible. I figured that attending WM was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity so I bought some of the more pricier tickets. Big mistake! The seats were on the field almost as far back as you could go, so we weren't elevated. When the show started we could barely see the ring, but then after a few minutes everybody stood up and stayed standing the entire time which means we never saw a damn thing. Anyway, I learned my lesson. Expensive doesn't always mean better.

ShadowedFlames
No promises that the show will be up tonight. Got my car back today (lost an hour for walking to get it), test drive for another hour, and find that it still occasionally shuts down on me when doing specific things. Need to get research done as to what could still be causing the problem, plus I still need to update the database and run matches. Why yes, I've been slacking. Trying to ensure I have transportation to my job is just a tad more important. Show will be up tomorrow for certain before the holiday break. At this rate, I'll need that break to do everything I have in mind to get caught up.

ShadowedFlames
Season Five, Week Five Mexico City, Mexico December 20, 2011 THE LEAGUE: SEASON FIVE, WEEK FIVE It may be almost winter here in Mexico City, but the action is as hot as ever as The League returns to Mexico, amidst a raucous crowd tonight. Despite the difference in languages, it's fairly obvious that crowd support for the League is as strong here as it is anywhere else, as we finally head to the ring and our usual announce team. Bob Sinclair: Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the final week before the holidays! Bob Sinclair, here with Tori Montgomery and Frankie Garnett, and...Frankie, you're not looking so good. You all right? Frankie Garnett: I think it was something I ate, Bob...my stomach has been upset all day. Tori Montgomery: You probably drank something you shouldn't have, Frankie. Frankie Garnett: Just stay out of it, Tori... Bob Sinclair: In any event, tonight sees Master Imoka attempt to go to 5-0 on the season, more than a couple marquee matchups, and a few other things along the way. With that, let's head to Amelia Williams, who is already in the ring and ready to get the night's festivities started. OMEGA DIVISION: Robbie Maynard (3-1, 7%) vs. Johnny Triumph (2-2, 6%) A remixed version of "Ecstasy of Gold" hits the speakers, which is nearly drowned out in jeers as he emerges from the entryway. Instead of taking the steps closest to him, he walks around to the opposite side of the ring, drawing in more jeers as he finally climbs the steps and enters the ring. Amelia Williams: Our opening contest of the night is an Omega Division bout scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Des Moines, Iowa, weighing 228 pounds...Johnny Triumph! Bob Sinclair: Triumph comes in looking to give himself a boost in the standings, but he's going to have to do it quickly. Tori Montgomery: Both men in this match will, Bob. Their popularity won't be a help in this match-up. Frankie Garnett: The sooner we can get out of this retched country, the better.... The opening riffs of Metallica's "Master of Puppets" hits the speakers, drawing a mixed reaction from the crowd as last season's champion emerges from the stage, bathed in a blue light shining beneath him. After pausing to mentally prepare himself, he walks to the ring, belt slung over his right shoulder and his eyes never leaving the squared circle as he climbs onto the apron and ducks between the ropes. Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Liverpool, England, weighing 251 pounds, he is the reigning and defending League Champion...Robbie Maynard! Bob Sinclair: Maynard has done better in defense of his League Championship than Triumph did two seasons ago. Tori Montgomery: A fact that certainly does not help Triumph's unofficial nickname of the "greatest League champion in ever." Frankie Garnett: That'll only be true until Thor wins it all this season. Robbie Maynard hit the Open Handed Slap Johnny Triumph took the blow, but just shrugs it off and goes on the attack. Johnny Triumph hit the Knife Edge Chop Robbie Maynard blocked the Knee Pull. Robbie Maynard recovers and stands up. Johnny Triumph hit the Punch The Elbow Strike was countered into a Open Handed Slap. Robbie Maynard hit the Dropkick Johnny Triumph took the blow, but just shrugs it off and goes on the attack. Robbie Maynard hit the Capture Suplex Robbie Maynard picks up Johnny Triumph from behind. Johnny Triumph slipped out the back of the Merseyside Maul. You always have to be on guard! Johnny Triumph hit the Running Hot Shot Johnny Triumph gets into the ring. Robbie Maynard slipped out of the Camel Clutch. The Small Package was countered into a Shooter Takedown. Johnny Triumph picks up Robbie Maynard. Johnny Triumph hit the Vertical Suplex Johnny Triumph picks up Robbie Maynard from behind. Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of nine minutes even...Johnny Triumph! Frankie Garnett: Is it just me, or do more matches seem to end with that move than a finisher? Tori Montgomery: It's just you, Frankie. Bob Sinclair: Regardless, Triumph picks up a much-needed win, tightening the standings in the middle of the Omega Division! OMEGA DIVISION: Dante Lorenzo (1-3, 7%) vs. Ian Carlisle (0-4, 14%) Three Days Grace's "Riot" hits the speakers to a chorus of jeers as the first Italian-born member of The League emerges from the back, ignoring the crowd in the arena as he mentally prepares for his upcoming match. Reaching the ring, he climbs up the steps and enters between the ropes, his face never losing a look of confident indifference. Amelia Williams: Our next match is an Omega Division contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Florence, Italy, weighing 291 pounds...Dante Lorenzo! Bob Sinclair: After his stellar rookie season, Lorenzo seems to have hit a sophomore jinx, struggling in the early part of the season. Tori Montgomery: His odds aren't too good tonight, Bob, though we've seen how quickly they can be turned around. Frankie Garnett: Against his opponent? Dante's almost assured of a win. Linkin Park's "What I've Done" blares through the arena as one of the League's youngest members steps into the arena. A moment later, he sprints towards the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope and heading to a corner to appeal to the fans. Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Blackpool, England, weighing 222 pounds...Ian Carlisle! Bob Sinclair: Carlisle has had no luck this season, though that has not stopped him from allying with Ben Stanton for this season's Tag Team Turmoil. Frankie Garnett: Which means that whoever draws them as opponents essentially has a bye match. Tori Montgomery: I wouldn't be so sure, Frankie. Stranger things have happened at Tag Team Turmoil. Dante Lorenzo hit the Running Clothesline Dante Lorenzo applied the Nerve Pinch Ian Carlisle moved and the Stomp missed! The Throat Thrust was countered into a Power Bodyslam. Dante Lorenzo applied the Over Shoulder Backbreaker The referee checks the submission... It seems to be locked in! Will This Be It? A short struggle ends with the escape! Bob Sinclair: Lorenzo trying to end it early, but it looks like he'll need a better move than that. Frankie Garnett: Like that move has ever won anything for anyone. Tori Montgomery: You'd be surprised, Frankie. The Hurtaretti was countered into a Thrust Kick. Ian Carlisle applied the Single Leg Grapevine Ian Carlisle picks up Dante Lorenzo from behind. Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of eight minutes and twenty seconds...Dante Lorenzo! Bob Sinclair: And Lorenzo earns a much-needed win to keep him alive in the division. Frankie Garnett: "Keep him alive?" We're only five weeks in, Bob! Tori Montgomery: And which division has the undefeated Master Imoka in it? Frankie Garnett: The Omeg—oh. Tori Montgomery: I rest my case. OMEGA DIVISION: Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (1-3, 11%) vs. Master Imoka (4-0, 12%) "Here Comes the Money" hits the speakers, as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, with a beautiful woman hanging off his left arm. He pays no attention to the jeering fans, his attitude simply screaming "I'm better than you." Amelia Williams: This match is scheduled for one fall in the Omega Division! Coming down the aisle, accompanied to the ring by Missy Callistra, from Providence, Rhode Island, weighing 224 pounds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.! Bob Sinclair: And now we'll see if Stanton has any better luck than his tag team partner did. Frankie Garnett: Fat chance. Tori Montgomery: You need to stop being so negative, Frankie. Frankie Garnett: And you need to stop being such a suck-up. Tori Montgomery: .... "You're the Best" blasts from the arena speakers as The League's lone Samoan emerges from the back, staring a hole through the ring as if by doing so, he can change it to his preferred medium of a martial arts mat. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound. Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka! Bob Sinclair: The surprise of the early season, Imoka has a chance to head into the holiday break still undefeated. Frankie Garnett: That's about as safe a bet as the Colts drafting Andrew Luck next season. Tori Montgomery: Or Frankie being violently ill in Mexico. Frankie Garnett: Not funny, Tori. Benjamin T. Frankie Garnett: Just wait until he faces Thor.... ALPHA DIVISION: Sebastian Moore (1-3, 12%) vs. Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (1-3, 12%) Disturbed's "Indestructible" hits the arena as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease despite the hard beat of the song. Jumping onto the apron from the floor, he steps between the ropes and calmly waits for the bell to get the match underway. Amelia Williams: This Alpha Division bout is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from the Island of Tria, weighing 205 pounds...Eidenhoek Gaiaspade! Bob Sinclair: Gaius has struggled in League competition, a win tonight could really be a morale-booster for him. Frankie Garnett: Frankly, he needs it. Tori Montgomery: As if you care, Frankie. It is to Muse's "Assassin" that he emerges, an arrogant smirk crossing his face as he soaks in the jeers of the crowd. Looking up at the spotlight for a moment, his smirk seems to get even bigger as he walks down the ramp, ignoring the catcalls of the crowd as he ascends the steps, wipes his feet on the apron, and steps through the ropes, looking more at ease than the casual fan may think. I think that is an absolute lie. I give and I give and I give all year long. I give my extra chicken bones to the homeless people. I give my extra dollar bills to strippers. Especially the ones that hail from Scotland and go by the stage name Diamond. Hell, I gave my genetic material to two women that know a certain Bird Brain very well. Your welcome by the way Tori and Te'Snilo. ;-) But most importantly, I prove why I am the best wrestler in the world week in and week out by giving stellar performances in the ring and constant beatings to Sebastian Moore and @PizzaMaskIII on a regular basis. I am the true World Champion of this company not that joke Maynard. Happy Holidays everyone from your friendly wrestling Arachnid. #ScorpionIsGod #Champ #MerryChristmas #HappyHanukkah #HappyKwanzaa #MerryChristmakwanzakah #SeasonsBeatings

ShadowedFlames
Due to impromptu plans that popped up last night, I haven't gotten to get pages updated. Feel free to berate me for having a life. *laughs* I plan on having everything up this evening as I have a fair bit of unexpected free time at work today, being the only one in the office and getting everything caught up at work yesterday.
