Guy on the Internet
For my SWF game, although I don't have any kind of dynasty to speak of, I still have an idea what everyone's theme tune is. Most of the themes I decided on in the end were taken from various dynasties and threads like this, but a few that I did actually come up with were: Angry Gilmore: An idea rolling around my mind for an entrance theme that I had for a long time before I started by SWF game, basically, the first few seconds of the theme are Spring by Vivaldi, but then there's a record scratch and it goes into No More Mr. Nice Guy by Alice Cooper (starting with the chorus). I thought it sounded pretty cool when I first thought of it, and my SWF game was the first time I had cause to assign it to someone within the canon of my own imagination. Big Smack Scott: For him I wanted a really loud, obnoxious, in-your-face rap, but unfortunately that's not my kind of music at all and I really don't know any. In the end I went with Black and Gold by Sam Sparro, partly because I always imagined Big Smack Scott's 'colours' (on ring attire, merchandise etc) as black and gold, and partly because it's vaguely, sort of rap-ish, maybe. Hell Monkey: In an idea taken wholesale from a very old USPW dynasty I've long since forgotten the name of (sorry, whoever made it originally!), I unmasked Hell Monkey, rebranded him 'Brimstone' and gave him a street fighter gimmick. Therefore, for his theme tune I went with Rage Against the Machine's cover of Street Fighting Man. It's loud, angry, fits his gimmick, and has a cool, fairly distinctive intro to boot. Christian Faith: I think it's all but been entered into Cornellverse canon that Christian Faith's theme tune is Iron Man by Black Sabbath. I don't dispute this, but I wanted to leave my own mark on it. In Self's Frontier Combat Kingdom dynasty, he came up with the idea of the sound of a heavenly choir preceding the intro to the song. I took this idea and...walked a few paces with it, at least, by making 'sound of a heavenly choir' in question the 'Hallelujah' part of Messiah by Handel. Admittedly it's quite similar in structure to Angry Gilmore's theme tune, but the SWF fans in my own imagination don't seem to mind. Frederique Antonio Garcia: Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) by C+C Music Factory. For someone so wonderfully camp as Frederique Antonio Garcia, only the most fabulously camp song I know will do. Joe Sexy: I'm Too Sexy by Right Said Fred. On one hand it seems like an obvious choice; on the other, it doesn't really sound like it'd work as a theme tune. But, try to picture it. You'll get used to it after a while. Mikel Alonso: I should point out that my SWF game is actually in TEW 2007. Hence, Mikel Alonso. The theme tune I picked out for him is Barcelona by Freddie Mercury. Well, he's an arrogant, patriotic Spaniard - so what better than a glorious-sounding, operatic chorus of 'Barcelona' over and over again? Rich Money: Another fairly obvious one...Money by Pink Floyd. Just, without the intro that's just about half a minute of ka-ching noises. That probably wouldn't be such a spectacular entrance theme. Robbie Retro: In my mind, the only thing it can be is Stayin' Alive by The Bee Gees. It's the quintissential 70s disco hit; Retro can't go wrong with it. Skull DeBones: You know, I combed my mind for some suitably dark, ominous metal song I knew, then I decided, Skull DeBones is supposed to be a sort of Undertaker figure...and I can't really see Undertaker (as the Deadman) ever coming out to metal, no matter how suitable the lyrics. So I looked into some Gregorian chants he could have, and eventually settled on Salve Regina, the Chant of the Templars. It's dark and ominous, just as I wanted, but it's also holy; he is the Avenging Angel after all. It might be a bit TOO Undertaker-esque, but I think it works well. Squeeky McClean: So Fresh, So Clean by Outkast. If anyone actually gets this reference, I will be very, very surprised. Steve Frehley: For Frehley I wanted something heavy enough to say 'main event level threat', while energetic and, uh, 'fun' enough to say 'top face'. I also wanted it to have a distinctive intro. Eventually I settled on the cover of Children of the Revolution by Killers (no, not The Killers, it's the band set up by the original Iron Maiden singer from their first two albums). Troy Tornado: Yeah, I hired this guy. I wanted something that says 'wannabe rockstar', but I couldn't find anything...so I went with Rockstar by Poison, which says "I wannabe a big rockstar". And that's close enough.

goldendragon
Someone just sent me this and asked if I thought it could be used for debut videos in wrestling but it could go farer. If you played parts of this as hype videos for a few weeks then played the full version just before the wrestler comes out in a Corino style long entrance then have the wrestler walk out towards the end end when the real music kicks in it could have an awesome effect and would've worked well with Jerichos end of the world videos. I'd use this for Jonathan Faust in 21CW if I wanted to bring him back after a long injury.

Eisen-verse
I was wondering who may know of a song that's hard-rock based; however, opens with a militaristic drumming style? I'm looking for a song that could coincide with the WAR General Nemesis; however, can't really think of anything (or find anything for that matter ) which may work? dvdWarrior
I like to think that just as the wrestling world is fictional in the C-Verse, so is the music industry. So i imagine the theme songs to be songs that haven't been written by people who don't exist This right here is how I likes to roll as well, but I've always imagined that Sam Strong's theme is the iconic (in the CornellVerse) "Still Standing Strong" by famous band (in the CornellVerse) Real American Hero. The Informant
This might be a good place to post this. I've seen in some diaries there is just a little gray bar with a play button and when you click on it the music plays. How do you get that set up? I've googled but I can't find anything. Any help would be great

In the real-world, you've got their look, the way they speak, their cadence-style, their music, their moves, mannerisms, etc. In the cornellverse, you have practically NONE of this. In this case, we have to go above and beyond to create a brand without having any real visual understanding of them (outside of a picture). With music, even if you have to use real world music, it creates an ability to at least get a better sense of the character as a whole!

Almost everything is the same between the two worlds except wrestling. That is how I work around it.
