Sting has died on my game, I had him in a feud with Taker too.

Nikki Bella is a 'hard drug user' and is in rehab, her smoking habit also affects her in ring performances apparently.

If you really wanted to be like Vince, you'd turn it into a new storyline with Taker holding a funeral for Sting claiming that he killed him, and a younger wrestler who idolized Sting trying to take revenge.

I have successfully won a bidding war for Randy Savage in 1993 as ECW.

a little history, playing Risky Business, I simmed to Jan 92 and ECWs open and took them over as a new player, Paul Heyman. I decided that I wanted to not have to worry about money so I cheated and gave myself unlimited cash. with that, I created the ECW Network, the biggest network of all time and slowly began my domination. By December of 92 I was a regional promotion and number 1 in the world, ahead of a national WWF, AJPW, NJPW and a Cult JCP and JPUK.

1 year and a week after inception, ECW went cult, and signed the roster to written deals, and then Savages contract came up. Entered into a bidding war with WWF, JCP, AJPW and NJPW and beat them all. The only product change I have made is bumping Modern to Heavy.

Life is good in the Land of Misfit Toys.

Well after playing this game successfully for many years, I've totally underestimated the new production system.

I started my first new game yesterday with MAW and only managed to last a few months. Got too worried about what my competitors were doing and spent far too much money trying to outdo them.

On the plus side, I've now got my head around the new booking system.

Loving my AWA save at the moment:) currently 11 months into it and I'm doing well but now one of my top faces just got me my first A* rating in TEW 2016! Signed Scott Hall and teamed him up with Thunderbolt Patterson to make the Diamond Mine (Diamond Studd & Diamond Patterson) and his popularity quickly shot up so I gave him his own weekly segment (also appears in PPV's & TV Specials just like in the screenshot!) Once my Hennig/Snuka feud is over then Diamond Studd will be next in line to challenge for it.

In other news in my save I had Hennig turn on Snuka at my January PPV Rage in the Cage to officially become heel and aligned himself with long time rival Larry Zbyszko whilst managed my Bobby Heenan who I signed from WWF, this is the start of the 'Perfect' era as I've made Hennig stopped wrestling under his real name during his heel run. Zbyszko refuses to also fight Snuka due to Snuka botching a move before which took Zbyszko out for over two months with a spine injury which ruined my plans at the Battle By The Bay TBS TV special for a tag team match between Perfect/Zbyszko vs. Snuka/Slaughter.

Lastly, TV is going well my A show is AWA Championship wrestling which airs on FOX and numerous free-to-air Japanese broadcasts and my B-Show is broadcasted on small US free-to-air channels and my PPV deal is video cable store, it offers very small broadcasting but atleast I'm on PPV!

Your workers still gain popularity and match grades still improve, though my overall show grade seemed limited to D-/D with everything at the lowest. Also note, that some of them have levels where it is a monthly and not per show fee, so depending on the number of shows you run, that may actually be cheaper. also for the person commenting on MAW and ACPW going under, I bought them out in my game. At least while under v1.03, you were best off buying them out on the day of your next show and immediately going to the area of their popularity. It starts dropping rapidly from the day you buy them if you don't visit. Not sure if it's been addressed in the patches. I do wish the game gave you more of a warning that companies were on the verge of going under so that you could swoop in more easily, maybe even incite a bidding war. I thought that the companies going under was addressed in the patches and was wondering what patch you are using for this game. Knowing that the buyout exists will change my strategy in future games as I'll stay away from the touring strategy I'm currently using since I can buy the popularity, particularly since sponsorship has decreased over the updates, I think it'd be more profitable to stay in one main area now during the early phases.

Otherwise I might have considered it. I do agree with the rest of the advice here. Don't worry about having to get your production values up to the level of the other groups immediately. Remember that if your show is about 2 grades above your popularity your promotion still sees the increase, so at F+ (when you first hit small), anything above an E is a decent show. If you can put on D- shows with the penalty you are just fine as your wrestlers don't suffer the penalty even if the promotion does. Eventually you'll have enough money coming in to afford to make permanent changes. And do consider what costs more. IIRC the broadcast and music values are comparatively inexpensive to raise 1-2 levels, with largely flat charges, but the one for ticket taking and such will increase show costs $1000 per show with just a single increase, making it probably the last one you want to put money into.

In my watcher game with the default database, RAW rose to national in October 2018 and went back and forth between cult and national for almost two decades. In August 2034, they lost their tv deal for "Attitude!" causing the show to go off air.

They brought it back in 2035, when they signed a contract with 1-Choice TV, a ppv broadcaster. That deal only lasted for three months, though, and since then RAW is left without any broadcasting deal and have been holding monthly events since then.

In February 2036, the promotion fell to regional and even to small in June 2038.

I find this amazing.

In 2013, Devilfish and Super Zero had good chemistry as partners and in this game it happened again for me. I've only had two chemistry notes for Damian so far though. Also, Lerone has good chemistry with Azazel as partners so I put them together as a team.

July of 1985, I send Roddy Piper to rehab after he was sent home from a few shows due to drink use. He returns in October of 1985. First night back is the night of my October PPV, I plan a big angle for him to return and attack Hulk Hogan, reigniting their feud.

And Piper shows up high and has to be sent home.

I'm currently Feb 2018 in my game, and this is probably the longest TEW game I've done, so I must thank Adam for making it such an easy one to play.

My promotion is Global and the absolute #1. WWE have fallen to Cult again last month after going head-to-head with me. TNA and ROH are both Cult. My fed is an all-women promotion, so every time I try to sign a worker to a written deal, I've had WWE and ROH trying to compete, and 90% of the time they sign with me.

What's got interesting in my game is that TNA have started being the ones to really raid my talent. The last few times I've tried signing someone, WWE and ROH's offers aren't even considered, and TNA have offered waaaaay over the odds to the point where my owner won't let me compete. So far it's just some midcarders I've lost, but it'll be interesting to see how this plays out in 3 or 4 years time when some big contracts come up for renewal. Will TNA sink themselves under the weight of these contracts? Will they even be open in 3 years time? We'll see!

I'm not familiar with the C-Verse, so I'm unsure how common these events are, however, as of January 2018:

MAW, SAISHO and ACPW have all gone out of business.

USPW and BHOTWG keep falling to cult then rising to national on an almost monthly basis, resulting in rotating CEO's and Bookers. (Other companies are doing similar)

Torajiro Sekozawa, multiple time SAISHO Champion and head booker passes away at 41, Chris Caulfied also died young.

CWWF also seems to be extremely short lived if the economy isn't good enough. At least that's what I've been seeing. Agree on the up and down nature from cult to national for a couple of promotions, but I've seen NOTBPW and PGHW end up doing that as well.

He made his second show back, but got sent home from the third one. I love Piper and I've been having a little trouble building people up to face Hogan, so it's nice to keep Piper around. If he bothers to show up. It's like he's making up for the drugs he didn't do while he was in rehab.
