So my question here is what to do after you've completed the challenge. My fed is at Global and my UC has been the champion twice at this level. So now what? I'm thinking about leaving and having my UC start a local fed and then repeating the process with some young protege but that seems like an odd move for a 32 year old who is on top of the world so to speak. I'm out of competition. I have all the big stars. Too many even. This is easily the most successful run at the Road to Glory challenge I've ever had but because of that I'm now unsure of where to go or what to do so early in my career.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You could keep the same save and create a new character to start the challenge to unseat your original character as the new top company. Just add a new player and leave the old one for the computer.</p>

End Of Year 3

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/endofthirdyear.jpg

Modest improvements with performance stats seeing the biggest rise. But it's a year where my user character and my promotion haven't exactly made great strides. Wrestling dropped to F- in the United States and the economy suffered before rising to E+ by the end of the year. This is starting to become a slog, I expected to be at least Small by now but even that feels like another year away.

Company Stats - Project X Wrestling

Project X Prodigy Champion: Raphael (21 Defences)

Project X Tag Classic Winners: Jason Thunder & Lightning Lomas

Project X Interim Champion: Frankie Dee (unified with Project X Prodigy title after Raphael returned from injury)

Size: Local

Popularity: F in Tri State

Finances: $30,413

Best Match: Raphael defeated Frankie Dee at Project X: Return Of The King (B)

Project X Wrestlers In Power 500

Raphael (#193)

From #316 in the previous year! He's great, far and away carrying the match quality of my company. Now 21 defences into a two year reign and showing no signs of slowing down despite a two month lay off with a broken arm, Raphael has unfortunately let success get into his head...

Marc Speed (#268)

With Brendan Idol's departure, Marc Speed is now the firm number two in my company. After a three year heel run, he's starting to see the light and he has Raphael's title in his sights heading into 2008.

Frankie Dee (#282)

In a show of faith, we crowned Dee the Interim Champion when Raphael broke his arm. Unfortunately, Dee couldn't dethrone the King and slipped back down the card. That said, he didn't rank in the Power 500 last year so to go from Unranked to #282 is a superb achievement and is only testament to his improvements throughout the year.

Lightning Lomas (#328)

Lomas joined us at the start of the year and had a good one, losing only three of his fourteen matches. Despite winning our inaugural tag classic with Jason Thunder, he fell short contesting the big one against Raphael at Mistletoe Mayhem. Ranking #328 in your rookie year is honestly nothing to be scoffed at and I've been impressed with Lomas' consistent D+ match performances.

Jordan Joyce (#351)

My user character spent the year doing little of note, especially since top heels Raphael and Marc Speed eclipse him completely. I like his tag team with Geoff Borne though and I think Vicious & Delicious might be the favourites heading into this year's Tag Classic.

Geoff Borne (#357)

Despite strong performance stats, Geoff just can't quite figure out how to put that together with his in-ring skills. He gives me consistent D rated match performances but I have my doubts that he will ever rise up the card.

End of year roll: 40. “I SMASH!!” or “I’m In My 20s, On The Internet And I Enjoy The WWE” You can choose to add 20 points to your Brute Performance rating OR Weird Performance rating OR use a random number generator to score between 0 and 50, adding the number to either rating.

So I rolled 36 and I am adding that to my Brute Performance rating.

<p>Using a November RW mod, just started. Cheapest ref I can get wants £350 PPA, how the hell am I going to survive when my ref is on more than the workers I plan on getting? <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

This looks supremely interesting. Is there some deadline or participant cap that I missed or can I jump into it straight away?

Not at all. It's just another way to enjoy the game!

I think I'm going to do another of these with the Thunderverse this time around. Starting from the bottom should help ke to learn more about that world. I've imported all the SWF logos. Just gotta get everything set up and I'll be good to go!

<p>does anyone know what you have to be at to get 0.5 increase in popularity per show? i consistantly get only 0.3 of an increase per show and the industry is a b-. i just started my second go around with rtg and my last game i could also only get an increase of 0.3 per show. My shows are well above high enough. My first 4 shows are a D. </p><p> </p><p>

Does the industry have to be at an A to get the 0.5 increase per show because I can not get that increase no matter what.</p>

I thought this looked plenty fun and decided to join the challenge. Never thought I would love working from scratch :D. It's really fun building from the ground up and attempting to make my own stars from nobodies.

I do have a question though. Would it be more beneficial to do two shows a month or the first year, do once a month? I'm losing money regardless, but don't want to be fired because two shows a month was simply too much.

EDIT: Well damn, Vince McMahon died due to drugs in my save...

Holy crap.

That's my UC named after me and my starting skills.</p><p> </p><p>

I have taken the default CWF as a promotion and i get Larry Wood as an owner who has decided to work for free for the time being but he also wants to change the product.</p><p> </p><p>

My starting roster:</p><p>

1. Anirban Ganguly (UC)</p><p>

2. Ben Williams</p><p>

3. Brady Prince</p><p>

4. Buck Graham</p><p>

5. Crash Lewis</p><p>

6. Little Bill Lebowski</p><p>

7. Larry Wood (Owner & Road Agent & Main Eventer)</p><p>

8. Desert Storm</p><p> </p><p>

I also get two readymade tag teams in Maryland Alliance (Prince & Graham) and Lewis Brothers (Crash & Lebowski).</p><p> </p><p>

Canadian Wrestling Federation is based in Ontario, Canada.</p><p> </p><p>

Wish me luck.</p>

The penalties are decently stiff but considering how low your popularity will be at that point, if you put on a "good" show, the show rating will drop several points and even then, not nearly enough to really worry about, at least in my experience.</p>

Really enjoying this challenge. I am using real world data, running a company based out of New England. Only about five months in, still trying to gain popularity at the expense of losing money. My next plan is to bring in a popular star, Eddie Edwards who is over in my area (and still TNA World Champion in the game) and have him work a special attraction match against my user character. His asking price will equal about what I pay my entire roster currently, but hopefully his popularity and performane will give my show rating a big boost enough to finally move me to that next level. Plus my user character should benefit from working with him.

At that point you could also take a month off just to make a profit to help yourself out.</p>

<p>I started a new game using Derek B's 1997 C-verse mod. Here is Arutha Hawke:</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s90.photobucket.com/user/Badcollin/media/Hawke%20Start_zpsswcvimrb.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k253/Badcollin/Hawke%20Start_zpsswcvimrb.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

I opened the National Wrestling Federation based in South UK. The start game is so different to TEW13 and it was really odd to be running nine shows a month in the first year. I managed to get into profit in May 1998 and at the end of 1998 I have 287k in the bank. </p><p> </p><p>

In Jan 1999 Hawke has improved very quickly due to the 90 matches he has wrestled already:</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s90.photobucket.com/user/Badcollin/media/Hawke%20Jan%2099_zpsqgog6tbc.png.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k253/Badcollin/Hawke%20Jan%2099_zpsqgog6tbc.png</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

The British scene is fairly strong at the moment, NWF and MOSC are both regional and ROF just opened so there are plenty of places for British talent to gain experience.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Top Five Matches:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s90.photobucket.com/user/Badcollin/media/1999%20Top%20Five%20Matches_zps9sztegsy.png.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k253/Badcollin/1999%20Top%20Five%20Matches_zps9sztegsy.png</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>End of Year Rolls:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

1997 - 37. “Eeeehhhhhhhhhhh” or “It’s Not Arrogance If You Can Back It Up”</p><p>

1998 - 49. "Where There’s A Will" One of your die hard fans has passed on bequeathing their worldly possessions to your promotion. Do you accept it or donate it to charity? Gain EITHER $56,609 or +5 Prestige.</p><p> </p><p>

I've got loads of money so I took the prestige</p>

I am loving the RTG in TEW 2016 so far! This year, unlike TEW2013 in my opinion, there is a lot more "strategy" going into the entire scheme of things such as decisions like making Figureheads for the extra merchandise and ticket sales. It's also so fun and satisfying when something finally goes your way, like when I had to make the decision on whether or not to buy NOTBPW out (they managed to get themselves nearly $3,000,000 in debt!) which would leave me in 5 figures but allowed me to finally get TV and PPV, through Net Stream. The move ended up being successful and now I finally have an out to get of Cult and also have much more popularity in Canada than I do in the US:p. The only problem with the Figurehead that I chose, who was Bulldozer, is that even though when I was Regional and he was absolutely killing it and was basically the only main eventer I had, when I hit Cult and was able to get Sean McFly from NOTBPW and also signed Spencer Spade and Primus Allen through SWF's stupidity, he was very overshadowed and I had to remove him as he had actually started being bad for business. Overall, I had so much fun doing this in TEW2013, but I am having so much more fun doing it this time around and it is just the best building to go from being Small and creeping towards debt to becoming one of the top companies with cutthroat business tactics and the money to back those tactics up, all within several years!

<p>This was always one of my favorite ways to play TEW in the past, but I just don't get anything close to enjoyment out of it in 16. Probably because even though I'm running 5 whole wrestlers along with my UC and my owner ref working for free, I'm losing $1k/month (nobody is making more than $270 with most around $200 and none of them are all that great, just young wrestlers), but the biggest reason is that even with a medium positive trending product, I am gaining a whopping 0.1 after each show (which are in the high 30's/low 40's). That's with a high 60's (so C+) and improving wrestling industry too.</p><p> </p><p>

I get that it is now a grindfest in 16, but running a local fed for a whopping 10 years because I can't get anything but a 0.1 gain. A 0.3 gain, which is what I thought was the min. for a positive trending product without the industry being in the toilet, is just over 3 years running the full 12 shows/year, which you might not be able to afford to do, is just about as much fun to me as watching paint dry. (I went ahead and jumped the gains to 0.3 and didn't improve my outlook on the challenge or my bank balance)</p><p> </p><p>

Am I doing something horribly wrong? I really do miss being able to do this challenge.</p>
