sheepy
<p>Have a look at Reggie Tate. lghikas
<p>I'm guilty of larger rosters in most of my games. Usually my go to ideas are a bunch of tag teams and stables and even lose alliances...especially in a SE heavy product such as SWF.</p><p> </p><p> I'd have to check my latest game with them but I probably had 4 or 5 stables with 5 or 6 tag teams...all being somewhat significantly different than each other. This also though ends up with me booking a ton of tag team matches on tv and even sometimes on my bigger events.</p>
LlamaSquad
Does anyone have SWF experiences of Australian wrestlers like Swoop McCarthy? Barring a buyout of RAW, them electing to work in the States is almost down to chance, and I'm wondering how people manage to acquire them in the USA. Alternatively and probably faster, you can just open a Free-To-Air broadcaster in Australia (smallest region that you aren't broadcasting in) at Medium to Enormous and get to 47 importance there pretty quickly (within a year maybe if you have a second A show?) so you can be International and then sign him whenever his contract runs up.</p><p> </p><p> I imagine SWF and USPW are probably the easiest route to acquiring Swoop if you aren't Australian, and to reaching International/Global in the entire game without even having to do much/any gaming.</p>

In theory, if I were to open a worldwide FTA broadcaster and run TV exclusively on that, with a PPV deal for events, would it be profitable? With my own broadcaster, I'd like to get RIPW US exposure as well. Thanks for your advice so far.

With my own broadcaster, I'd like to get RIPW US exposure as well. Thanks for your advice so far. I'm not entirely sure, to be honest, but I'm pretty sure it will be profitable to a degree. But I've only ever used the create a broadcaster functionality once, just because I've never played a company that size. If I recall, you also don't have to be international with high popularity in Australia to get Australian workers, so if you raise your pop in Canada or Mexico, which makes the most sense, you should be able to get to international and grab Swoop. I did have a game where I got Swoop, but in that game, APW started doing really well and were in a working agreement with me, they signed Swoop when Raw had some sort of scandal and lost some popularity/momentum. This allowed me to talent trade for Swoop and then sign him out right.
Historian
One idea I've toyed with - signing a big worker with a great look who is pretty athletic and creating a "new" Dread. Just gotta settle on whom. I think that in the game Primus Allen is the most suited to taking up the Dread mantle right from the beginning. The whole thing on Dread was that he was a big man who could really work. Hellion is also another interesting candidate (and one of my personal favorite monsters in the game). The real question becomes whether you're trying to create a big monster heel with a lot of menace, or a big heel who can work in the ring and take big bumps. If it's the former, Gargantuan (which I saw someone else mention) is the best suited. If you're wanting the latter, Allen or Hellion can really become something special in SWF -- not that I have a lot of experience booking SWF, but I did have Primus Allen and Hellion for an extended time when they were cut from developmental (along with Masked Patriot, so I was having a blast). I have just set up an APW working agreement with the express purpose of stealing all the ex-RAW guys, so... This is definitely something to consider, I'll try testing it and edit this when I have results. EDIT: Using 2016 SWF and the autobooker, with Supreme TV on a broadcaster with Enormous coverage worldwide and PPVs on CANN, I made almost $2 million. Jon The GOAT
You need 3 regions in cult so Canada & Mexico aren't enough. I said Australia less because Swoop is there and more because it would be the cheapest place to get the FTA broadcaster. Considering you get a ton of money from ticket sales plus PPV revenue maybe you would survive FTA worldwide but I wouldn't do a worldwide FTA personally. The FTA broadcaster in Australia would be temporary till you have the right pop to hit International.
LlamaSquad
I could probably pull the trigger on Reverie once they get coverage everywhere, which I believe is about 3 years in. In response to Historian, I wasn’t talking a proper simulation, the results are edited in at the bottom of my last post.
Dave E Mac
<p>So I tend to play real world and never given the c verse a chance but started a game with SWF. The roster is a manageable size to start to give everyone some attention. Although what a horrible number of negative influences they have. I’m hopefully going to job a few of them out. </p><p> </p><p> Jefferson Stardust, Robbie Retro and Slencer Spade are my nbt so focusing on them. Going to eventually spit the Awesomeness team ala rockers style. I changed the Bumfhole’s name as that is ridiculous! Now just Randy B and Zimmy B going by the name Thr RadicalZ and playing up their teen idol gimmicks with a finisher called The Hashtag. Will ultimately have them win the titles as they are a steady pair of hands so I can start the Jefferson split and push. </p><p> </p><p> Main event scene is old, so looking to push some guys quick. But really focusing on Jack Bruce. He might be in his 40’s but is the star to carry the company short term. </p><p> </p><p> Really enjoying reading this thread as a newbie to the c verse it’s a real help getting things off the ground for me.</p>

He might be the best hoss in the game, and he'll consistently put on B+ to A* main events if you feed him Bruce, Gilmore, Valiant and Morgan (and The Crippler/Rogue/James if you turn them face). He's still fairly young for such a big star, so you'll see his stats grow continuously.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Jefferson Stardust and Spade are almost always NBT, with Spade usually being the guy most people groom to replace Bruce as the figurehead. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Lau, Hernandez and Parker are your crown indie-signings. I usually see Hernandez and Lau getting main event runs in diaries but Parker is perpetually underrated, mostly due to his age. He tends to develop fairly well with most destiny rolls, and he can definitely be a solid upper-midcarder who can step in for the main event in most playthroughs. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> I like the love Prometheus and Gargantuan are getting. They might be clumsy hosses, but realistically, a promotion like SWF would definitely take a chance at developing these massive specimens if given the chance. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Around year 2, PSW tends to get into the bankruptcy/buy-out stage, and if Logan Wolfsbaine hasn't been fired, it may be worth it to buy them out, given both him and Ernest, along with any other super talented wrestlers that hate risque products, are signed to the roster. The 2016 available signings is probably the weakest it's been in a while. No more KC Glenn/Matthew Keith/Jay Chord-level cheat codes. With that being said, RIPW has pretty full cupboards, so you can just pipeline your Spencer Spades and Primus Allens onto the main roster. An added bonus is most of your RIPW talents are US and Canada only, so SOTBPW can't get their hands on them if they hit the upper card.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Hitting international tends to be pretty straight-forward if GCG goes bankrupt. You get cult importance in Japan, and you should have enough pop in Mexico and Canada by year 2-3 to hit international for your owner goal. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Speaking of Australian talents, Kian Wayne often gets let go pretty early into the game. If RAW doesn't bring him back, he's awesome. Nicky Gilbert is also a great RAW prospect but they tend to get pretty aggressive to keep him, and it makes sense why. Like everyone else says, Swoop is the Australian Rock. Maybe the best worker for SWF in the game.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> One last guy I want to suggest is Motoyuki Miyake. He's the best Japanese free agent young lion, but he tends to go on North American excursions in non-Japanese playthroughs. He's a great all-around worker (starting with B consistency and C brawling at 20 years old!), and has great starting SQ. If you signing him to RIPW, and sign him long-term once he returns to Japan, he can be a pretty valuable guy for you. Plus, within a 3 year span, if you get two successful weight gains, you can get a him at light heavyweight with Rocky Golden levels of Star Quality. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p>

Matt_Black
<p>So is SOTBPW, as they just snagged Zimmy from me! Those jerks!</p><p> </p><p> On the plus side, my Women's Division is doing well, building it up slowly but surely. J-Ro, the recently cut from USPW Raven & Gorgon, JMB, Tamara McFly, Emma Bitch, and NOTBPW cast-off Kristabel Plum. I also snagged Amber Allen from NOTBPW and beat USPW in a bidding war for Jaime Quine and Sara Marie York (thank heavens I dropped Risque to Medium).</p><p> </p><p> The Cruiserweight Division is also doing well. Bigpapa42
<p>South of the Border Pro Wrestling and United States Pro Wrestling are both very aggressive in stealing talent now. The SWF tends to lose stars to them, while TCW often loses its stars to the SWF. But a great aspect of the C-verse is that there are tons of potential stars to build up.</p><p> </p><p> Personally, I am all-in on the Bumfhole camp and keeping the Bumfhole name. I used to be a name-changer for them as well, even if it was just having them go by first names. But there is just something fun about these potential superstars having odd names that they still use.</p>
Matt_Black
<p>I haven't lost too many people. Lost Rogue, Squeeky McClean, and Kurt Laramee to USPW and the Crippler to NOTBPW, but then I wasn't trying too hard to hang on to them. I just can't justify handing out long term big money contracts to guys who are that old.</p><p> </p><p> The thing that's really hurting me right now is Jack Bruce filming a movie.</p>
Poet Justice
SOTBPW tends to bid higher than Eisen will allow you to. It’s a good opportunity to build new stars when they inevitably go for Brandon James, Rogue and Gilmore. You definitely want to make sure nobody gets Remo from you imo. Dave E Mac
I’ve immediately set up a second A show to try and push myself in the countries we have no coverage in. I’m thinking this is a bad idea.
Matt_Black
<p>It's not a bad idea in theory. You can get a deal with USA Sports 1 and they have coverage in Australia, Europe, and the British Isles. It's not huge coverage and, if I recall correctly, their coverage in Mexico and Canada isn't quite as big as CANN. I'd think at the start of the game, a short term deal with Reverie is probably the best idea, as you can get a nice infusion of cash to get yourself on your way to your own network.</p><p> </p><p> One thing I've learned is that if you want to start a Women's Division, you have to be careful with sending younger talents to RIPW; with a Women's Division there, even if they have a 2 hour monthly event and 2 weekly shows, they won't use more than 3 or 4 of the talents. I sent 8-10 girls down there, and some girls were never used until I went and borrowed them from developmental. I'd say you'd be better off just starting a Women's only developmental fed or buying CWWF, as they never seem to last long after starting up.</p>
MattL1222
What young superstars do you usually put in the tag division?
