What do you do playing TEW that you think no one else does?

I thought of something else I do. I tend to copy my latest save (for up-to-date rosters) and go into the PM phase and use that to fish for tag chemistry notes. When I get something, I jot it down on my phone. If something interesting pops up (Ospreay/Ricochet, Marufuji/Sabre) I'll brainstorm ideas and see if I can develop an entertaining story arc for them.

<p>I run three 3 hour A shows and a 2 hour B show, along with 2 PPVs per month, in my National level CZCW. No auto booker. I'll probably add another of each too, when I hit International in a couple months and go on another hiring spree.</p><p> </p><p>

I also have 40 dojos across 7 countries, 6 developmental companies featuring over 120 workers, and a main roster with 184 active wrestlers.</p>

<p>I book absolute garbage on my undercard. TEW mostly cares about the main event and the best promo, so why would I book good matches below that? And why would I waste money hiring talented/expensive wrestlers to fill the roster unless they're definitely going in one of the main event slots?</p><p> </p><p>

I book with my wallet. Anyone over $1000 an appearance is going to struggle to get a look in.</p>

Cannot believe in my own thread I forgot the Couture Twins and their sister Emily! So every game my user character is Emily Couture and also have her twin brothers Edward and Earl (one is always black and the other white). They are three created characters using the Heidenreich challenge stats. Their characters are always the same. The twins are managed by Emily. If they are heels then they are basically a trio of we are better than you fashionistas. If they are face then more of a campy runway, air head models. Its always fun as the twins will get terrible match ratings for ages. But the three of them their other stats are insane for angles so can help build things up.

<p>I haven't played tew for years but i used to run a company as if it was some weird mma tournament league. </p><p> </p><p>

Basically I'd turn off face/heel divide and wouldn't use storylines.</p><p> </p><p>

I'd structure my roster into a number of mini leagues (sometimes I'd run 10 or more leagues for 4 workers or 7 leagues of 6 or 8 workers). Generally the leagues would be based solely on overness (so the most popular guys were in the top league but I maintained some flexibility).</p><p> </p><p>

I would then run a round robin tournament each of the leagues using standard 1vs 1 matches without booking a winner.</p><p> </p><p>

I'd track the results in a spreadsheet and have a league table. Once all the matches had been completed the winner (or top 2) would be promoted to the league above while the last place (or bottom 2) would be relegated.</p><p> </p><p>

The leagues would then begin again. This worked better in wmma but I didn't use it frequently in tew too.</p><p> </p><p>

Odd.</p>

I'm a sucker for the unemployed wrestler who is raring to go. Usually only give them a short term deal where I job them out in an attempt to keep my roster from getting too bloated. I also save companies from going out of business occasionally and have taken over bigger companies just to add a "logical" change like a 2nd TV show, a Dev company or their own broadcaster

When I start a new 0 pop, 0 importance game, I'll hire all unemployed wrestlers; one or two vets, and a bunch of fresh new talent. Then I'll hire two or three established workers with PPA agreements. I'll put the belt on the best wrestler and let him(her) hold that strap for their entire run. I'll build a lot of heat for my upper midcard, and other main eventers by feeding them the rest of my roster, then when the champion starts to get stale, I'll flip the belt to someone else. I once had Danielle Sweetheart as my champion for about 18 months.

Make 2 hour shows 90 minutes to simulate TV. The shows are 95 minutes long, a little less than an old Raw with an overrun. When I booked WCW 95 I turned off show times so I could book 45 minute shows too.

I've always thought the game's simulation of the live experience, instead of TV, is pretty dumb.

I know it's not the best way to do it and increases the ability of people but in order to simulate commercials, I simply make angles longer. I might have a 6 minute angle but only 3 minutes of it, in my mind, is the actual angle. The other 3 minutes are commercials.

I'm pretty sure I don't do anything different or unique -- but I Try very hard to keep myself to booking the logical way the company should be presented. I try not to hire outside of what styles make sense for that company, sizes that make sense, etc... It forces me to change styles when I take on a different company and avoid doing the same things.

Here's hoping you have to schedule ad time on tv shows in 2020.

<p>I use a spreadsheet that I've created that allows me to quick-sim matches by performing dice rolls based on skills, push level and takes managers/valets into account. It even displays the victor's image and plays his theme too. The results are used to create rankings on the fly.</p><p> </p><p>

.. it's fair to say that I spent far too long making this thing. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>I book things in a superfluous manner the in-game engine doesnt' care about at all.</p><p> </p><p>

For example in my 21CW save, I created the Great Britain Premier, which is essentially a G1 style tournament with points based on wins/draws/losses. I track everything and then book accordingly.</p><p> </p><p>

Also, I do all of my storyline tracking, booking plans, and PPV goals exclusively in Notepad.</p>
