CZCW Update

So it's been three years since my last update in 2025 and it's got a bit mad. We finally went onto Wrestleworld which helped build our pop so fast that within a year and a half of being on that and our own ever improving broadcaster that we were selling out 50k seater stadiums by around mid 2027. This meant that we were able to sign a bunch of people to exclusive written contracts and our roster has changed massively.

Departures:

Ellie De Grazia to QAW, Riley McManus to NYCW, Remmy Honeyman to USPW, Shooting Star Perez to NYCW, Tyrone Gray to ACPW, Cam Jones to NYCW, Boriken Love Machine Jr to FEW, Eien Miyamoto released (time decline ), Al Coleman released, Flip released, El Jaguar to OLLIE, Solomon Gold released and Assassin released

Incoming (this is where it gets fun):

Dawn Gemmell, Emma Chase, Air Raid Syren, Flip Buchanan, Boriken Love Machine Jr, Amy St. James, Kira Lee, Skye Hermosa, Super massive destroyer, Tommy Cornell (!!!), El Hijo Del Neutron, Tommy Cornell Jr (!!!!!!), Mainstream Hernandez, Snap Dragon II (Return from excursion), Americana Jr, Edd Stone, Zel Quinn (Excursion), The Historian, Joy Ryder, Son of Vengeance, Selina Svelte, Chuck Casey and Christopher Ball.

I cant really go over literally everything thats happened in 3 years but we now have a roster of 45 and three developmental companies (Kanzen, CWWF and WINNOW).

Title reigns:

Coastal Zone Extreme: El Jaguar (May 2025 to October 2026)-Zel Quinn (October 2026 to February 2027)-King Tiger (February 2027-May 2027)-Zel Quinn (May 2027-July 2027)-King Tiger (May 2027-December 2027)-Lucy Stone-McFly (December 2027-).

Coastal Zone Prime Time: Prime Time Jack Pryde (March 2025-February 2026)-Assassin (February 2026-May 2026)-Prime Time Jack Pryde (May 2026-February 2027)-Joy Ryder (February 2027-May 2026)-Snap Dragon II (May 2026-October 2027)-Son of Vengeance (October 2027-)

Coastal Zone Tag Team: Lucy and David Stone (May 2025-December 2025)-Elliot Austin and Eien Miyamoto (December 2025-February 2026)- House of Stone (February 2026-May 2026)-Tommy Cornell and TCJ (May 2026-November 2026)-House of Stone (November 2026-May 2027)-Skye Hermosa and Kira Lee w/ Amy St. James (May 2027-)

CZCW Uprising: Talia Quinzel (March 2026)-Fuyuko Higa (March 2027)

CZCW Title: Nate DeMarcus (October 2024-July 2025)-Fuyuko Higa (July 2025-May 2026)-Talia Quinzel (May 2026-October 2026)-James Diaz (October 2026-May 2027)-Tommy Cornell (May 2027-November 2027)-Tigre Salvaje Jr (November 2027-)

One of the main recurring arcs across the past three years has been James Diaz and The Diaz System. When I last updated in 2025 he had just lost his main event of WTTCZ 2025 after being turned on by Bounce which sort of sent him over the edge. He brought in Bounce's brother Flip to play mind games before eventually beating Bounce in a steel cage match at Christmas Cage Chaos in the main event. After that he went on another recruiting run where he brought in Dawn Gemmel as a manager (After she turned on Assassin to side with him) and added Syd Collier when Cam Jones got signed. Collier has been a revelation and is one half of the current COTT Tag champs alongside fellow member The Dreadnought after they defeated The Uprising. As for Diaz he eventually become CZCW champion when he beat Talia Quinzel in 2026 before losing it to Cornell at the big show. Then in shocking fashion at Hardcore Halloween 2027 Tigre Salvaje Jr would turn on his friend Tommy Cornell to join The Diaz System and became champion a month later. This is his 4th reign with the belt and he will hold it until WTTCZ 2028 where he will lose to Tommy Cornell Jr.

Fuyuko Higa and Talia Quinzel have been the top two aces of the company with incredible performances year on year and Higa has held the CZCW Title 3 times now as well as two runs with the COTT World Title (One ongoing) after wins over Mainstream Hernandez and Flip Simkins.

This year's WTTCZ will be the final hurrah of The Diaz System as they will be put a scenario where if they lose three of their 5 matches then they will be forced to disband for good but if their opponents were to lose then they would all be fired. The plans right now are Fuyuko Higa vs The Dreadnought (after Collier costs Higa her COTT Title against James Diaz), Chuck Casey vs Zel Quinn, Syd Collier vs ???, Tommy Cornell vs James Diaz for the COTT World Title and Tigre Salvaje Jr vs Tommy Cornell Jr for the CZCW Title.

I’m at January 2022 in an SWF save and I am dominating the industry. Number 1 company in all regions and the world. Knocked USWF down to a medium by consistently hiring away their talent. Started the SWF Network, and put RIPW on it and they are the number 3 most popular company and almost at Medium level. Took over CILL, CWW, FCW, and SAISHO when they were all in debt and are now all doing massively well. However Jerry Eisen hates me because I keep ignoring his wishes about hiring talent, as I keep hiring the most popular wrestlers in the US, despite what their attributes are. I’m running 5 brands and anyone who falls below 50 popularity in any US region gets sent down to developmental until their popularity gets to that benchmark. It’s getting to the point where I don’t even have to negotiate that hard to land top stars anymore as they all want to work for SWF. I may soon have to raise the popularity threshold to 55 or 60 because I keep landing top guys.

Quick update: I created a stable for my Japanese workers I'm bringing in, called Strong Style.

Managed by Terri Runnels, this heel group contains:

Steve Williams (WCW Television Champion)

Nobuhiko Takada

Genichiro Tenryu

Yoji Anjo

But...the crown jewel has just signed with WCW. It may require turning Steve Williams face and having him quickly beaten out of the group in order to make it work and give them a natural opponent, but I've just signed Stan Hansen to a 2 year deal to bring him back stateside.

Would be nice ideally to have Hansen take over that group, have Williams turn face and then feud with them (although he'll need some help), and then ultimately have him retire Hansen in 2 years time.

CZCW late 2028 update:

Flew through most of the year of 2028 yesterday to reach late September 2028. Forgot to mention in the last update but after WTTCZ last year we moved to two Events a month. No plans for TV ever as I'm too lazy with it and love this platform right now.

Welcome to the Coastal Zone went really well. The last hurrah of The Diaz System say Syd Collier beat Americana Jr and Dreadnought get an incredible win over Fuyuko Higa but then the side were let down by Chuck Casey losing to Zel Quinn, James Diaz losing the COTT World Title to Tommy Cornell and in the main event Tigre Salvaje Jr lost the CZCW Title to Tommy Cornell Jr.

On the undercard of the event we saw two title retentions as well as two title changes. The A-List (Mainstream Hernandez and Prime Time Jack Pryde) retained their recently won titles against former champs DeMarcus and Young and Son of Vengeance continued his undefeated run as Prime Time Champion as he defeated another undefeated man in Christopher Ball who was 9-0 until that point. Meanwhile, a returning Onslaught became a three time Extreme champion when he defeated Lucy Stone-McFly and Edd and David Stone representing the House of Stone became COTT Tag Champions. Other significant matches saw Will Beaumont win his debut match against the departing El Hijo Del Neutron, The Coastal Resort (Elliot Austin and Alex Taylor-both graduates) beat The California Queens and on the pre-show Kira Lee won a CZCW Title opportunity in a battle royal. She would lose to Tommy Cornell Jr the next month.

Coming out of the big show saw us moving into another sort of transitional period headed by Tommy Cornell Jr. Losing our big top heel faction meant we saw a fallout from that and the big fallout was Dawn Gemmell aligning herself with The Dreadnought (Now just Dreadnought again) as he absolutely obliterated former tag team partner and friend Syd Collier who is now a face for probably the first time in his career. James Diaz has gone off on a years excursion (he left to Burning Hammer but only signed for a year so will be signed back) and Tigre Salvaje Jr has just gone off and done his own thing, including unsuccessfully challenging TCJ to reclaim his CZCW Title. One of the big fallouts was that at WTTCZ Son of Vengeance suffered an injury during his match with Chris Ball and therefore I decided to vacate the Prime Time title even though it was only a month and half. This led to an 8 man tournament where the final saw Will Beaumont become Prime Time Champion when he defeated Ball in the final. Beaumont has been really fun to book so far from his feud with Ball to his current feud with Snap Dragon II. The plan right now is for him to either drop the title to Naoji Azumi or Air Raid Syren, who re-debuted from developmental after WTTCZ.

Other departures over the past couple of months have seen Drake Young extend to an exclusive written contract with GSW, Chuck Casey get signed by SWF (this was random), Shiori Jippensha signed with USPW and we released Bounce, Edwin Velasquez and Super Massive Destroyer. Therefore to fill the gaps we hired Celeste Moon, Ellie De Grazia (for the 3rd time lmao), Hollywood Brett Starr (Short term), Romi Yamato and called up Air Raid Syren, Maria Guest and Bruiser Tony (Tony DeWonderful).

The big news from my most recent show is that Tommy Cornell Jr lost his CZCW Title after 5 months to Dreadnought after a decent but underwhelming match. TCJ's reign saw him defeat Kira Lee, Tigre Salvaje Jr and give Son of Vengeance his first two defeats in the company before he lost to Dreadnought. Right now the plan is for Dreadnought to have a dominating reign that culminates at WTTCZ 2029 where he drops the title to Lucy Stone-McFly but plans could change, we'll see. The Coastal Resort will dethrone The A-List for the tag titles soon and one of Air Raid Syren or Naoji Azumi is the next Prime Time Champion while the other will win the Extreme title lol.

Final thing is that I have introduced Professor Avatar as a manager by the name of Professor Rusterholtz who is going to introduce a kind of weird, freaky stable into the company. I see his character as some sort of Hugo Strange character where his experiments brought these wrestlers to wreak havoc over CZCW. Will lead into a bit of a switch in theme like we have had in the past couple of years with tag teams and stables. This seems like the next era and next fun move for us.

All the :D

June 1994 WCW Roster Moves:

Out: Ron Simmons ($15k/month), Cactus Jack (going to let him walk to WWF, not going to pay him $115k/month just to be a brawler), Jesse Ventura ($75k/month)

In: Toshiaki Kawada ($65k/month), Bret Hart ($140k/month), potentially Macho Man ($220k/month - I hate the idea of paying this much for him, but he's unquestionably WWF's biggest star left so it should really screw them over).

If you don't like the idea of paying him that much, don't. Let them sign him or release him. If they keep him, you have more competition.

But I want to crush them into oblivion. And I mean he can still go...his average match rating is an 87 and he has the current MOTY candidate with a 99. Just dropped the WWF title to Yoko a couple months back.

*evil cackle*

You're right though. I could leave him there feuding with Yoko and Rick Martell and Cactus Jack. Decisions decisions.

CZCW Update:

BREAKING NEWS:

The date is January 1st 2029 and we are just receiving word that CZCW has QUIT the Confederation of the Territories! Becoming the first company to do so they also pulled child company CWWF as well and stated that they no longer benefited from the arrangement and wanted to travel elsewhere without the limitations of the territory. While this was what the press release said, many insiders believe that their relationship with QAW could be the reason for the move as the two companies continually clashed heads. The biggest and most recent step in this emerging 'War' saw CZCW make the incredible signing of QAW ace and multi-time champion Brooke Tyler on a mega money deal. Having recently grown to Big size and upgrading their coverage in the US to Huge on their broadcaster, it seems like the company wants to be challenging the major three by the end of next year. More to follow....

Update:

Now that fun part is out the way let's give an update on what has happened since the last update. In October we held our annual tournament which has been different every year and this year it was the 'best of the best' tournament where the winner earned themselves a title shot. Things of note during the tournament are that Lucy-Stone McFly beat Edd Stone in the quarter finals before an incredible win over Fuyuko Higa in the semis while Kira Lee beat Americana Jr and then had an easy win over Elliot Austin in the semis after The A-List attacked him. That meant in the final Lucy-Stone McFly went in with over 45 minutes of wrestling time already but Kira had a lowly 20. Kira Lee emerged victorious and set her up immediately as a top talent in the company.

Speaking of Kira Lee, following the last update The California Queens finally capitulated following a tag title loss to the A-List and then it would be Kira Lee that won the triple threat and since then Skye Hermosa and Amy St James have kept feuding while Lee has moved up. Also at Hardcore Halloween The Coastal Resort won the tag titles from The A-List although since then they lost them back to Mainstream and Prime Time at the December show Christmas Cage Chaos. Professor Rusterholz introduced his creations, The Reckoning, as well on the show (La Arana, Bestia De La Selva, Death Walker and Caballero Oscuro) and these characters have promised to overrun the company. Onslaught defeated Edd Stone to retain his Extreme Title, Will Beuamont retained his Prime Time title against Snap Dragon II and Dreadnought had the first successful defense of his CZCW Title against Syd Collier. The main event saw a mega matchup as Tigre Salvaje Jr won the COTT Heavyweight title for the first time in his career off Tommy Cornell. With us now leaving the COTT this title has been vacated but the plan is to start a new alliance with all of our Dev companies and he will face Brooke Tyler at Welcome to the Coastal Zone to determine the first champion of this Alliance.

I mentioned that The A-List won back their CZCW Tag Titles from The Coastal Resort but it wasn't the only title change as in the opener we also saw Onslaught lose his Extreme Title to Naoji Azumi who massively impressed me this year. The two cage matches on the show saw first Son of Vengeance defeat Nate DeMarcus and secondly Ellie De Grazia and Fuyuko Higa end their feud with a Higa win to bring it to 2-1 to herself. Following the match she challenged Lucy Stone-McFly to a rematch after her shock loss in the tournament and this main event will establish that Lucy is the next big thing, Ace to future Ace, before her Uprising win and then title match with Dreadnought at WTTCZ. The main event was a great triple threat as Dreadnought retained once more his CZCW Title against Tommy Cornell Jr and Kira Lee. The plan for the next two months is to see Dreadnought beat Tommy Cornell OG sometime in January while Kira and TCJ feud before in the first show of February we will have a tag match of Dreadnought and Lee vs TCJ and TC. If Dreadnought and Lee wins then Lee gets a title shot while if the others win then TCJ will get the shot. Lee will win, pinning Tommy Cornell, and then following the match the turn will happen leading to TCJ vs Tommy Cornell at Welcome to the coastal Zone and Tommy Cornell's retirement.

So yeah big changes heading into 2029 but it looks like it will be an incredible year for the company

Ok lads, so I'm pretty excited about this! I've FINALLY managed to convert my TEW2016 "long-term" (for me that means eight months in-game) save to TEW2020 so over the next few days/week I'm going to post monthly summaries of the save to date. This is mainly because I have to get familiar with the save myself before I can take it forward, but also because I'm pretty stoked with how the save has played out to date, so I'm super keen to share it with you all.

The save started off in April 2001, following WrestleMania X-Seven. The big two differences in my universe are:

a) WWF was able to buy out ALL of the contracts of the WCW guys so I could do a PROPER invasion. We're still running with the whole "Shane bought WCW" angle how it played out on TV though.

b) Austin never turned Heel at Mania, going over The Rock clean. I just love Austin, he's always been my favourite character, and I wanted to have him face WCW head on in the war to come...

So my idea will be to give you a by-month synopsis of the key events and post the PPV card of that month. The game is now in January 2002, and once I get to there I will be taking over with TEW2020.

So here we go...

NICKMAN'S INVASION - APRIL 2001

- Undertaker beat The Rock on Raw for the right to face Austin for the WWF Title at Backlash and puts him through a table (thus freeing The Rock up to go and make movies).

- Victoria beat Chyna for the Women's Title on Raw (I'm pretty sure this was an audible, as Chyna got injured). Chyna gets taken out by Right to Censor.

- Dean Malenko defeated Crash Holly on Smackdown! to win the Light Heavyweight title.

- Theodore Long announces he's managing D'Lo Brown, offers his services to Mark Henry, who refuses.

- Jerry "The King" Lawler returns to the Raw announce desk.

- Vince brags about winning the war against WCW even though he lost to Shane at 'Mania... Shane confronts him, but gets beaten down by Triple H. Eventually Shane challenges Vince for a rematch at Backlash, but Vince makes it a Handicap match with Triple H!

- The Radicalz reform as they battle with "Team RECK" (Rhyno, Edge, Christian and Kurt Angle).

- X-Factor gets disbanded after all three members get put through tables by the Dudleys (pretty sure X-Pac went to rehab here).

- Edge & Christian, tired of fighting "chumps" offer an open challenge for their WWF Tag Titles, Saturn & Malenko take up the challenge for Backlash.

- The A.P.A. brawls with Right to Censor throughout April as they keep protesting their drinking and gambling, setting up a 4-on-2 Handicap match against Richards, Bull Buchanan, Val Venis and the Goodfather!

- In order to prove once and for all who the best technical wrestler in the WWF is, Chris Benoit challenges Kurt Angle to a "30 Minute Ultimate Submission" match at Backlash.

- As Commissioner, William Regal books himself to face Jericho at Backlash for the Intercontinental Title. He also books Eddie, Rhyno and Matt Hardy in a triple threat for the European Title.

- After beating a bunch of lesser women for her title throughout March with nefarious tactics, Victoria is shocked to find out she'll face both Trish AND Lita at Backlash.

- Finally Big Show earns a Hardcore title match against Kane at Backlash by ensuring Chris Jericho leaves the final Smackdown! before the event on a stretcher, on request of Commissioner Regal...

NICKMAN'S INVASION - MAY 2001

- The first Raw after Backlash, Vince brags about beating WCW again, Jericho mocks him, so he gets Triple H to attack him. That same night, Regal tells Triple H he'll get a WWF Title match if he helps Regal defend his Intercontinental title against Jericho, which he does.

- The following Raw, Austin defends his WWF Title against Triple H, but gets attacked by the Undertaker post-match. Taker then faces Jericho on Smackdown! for a WWF Title shot at Judgment Day, which Undertaker wins after Triple H attacks Jericho.

- The Hardy Boys fight the Dudleys for a shot at Saturn & Malenko's WWF Tag Titles, but Edge & Christian send it to a no contest. Regal books a 4-way WWF Tag Title match for Judgment Day.

- Trish beats Victoria and Jacqueline for the right to face Lita at Judgment Day for the Women's Title.

- RVD feuds with Hardcore Holly over who is "more hardcore", culminating in a Hardcore match at Judgment Day.

- Benoit and Angle continue to feud, leading to a 60-minute Ultimate Submission match at Judgment Day!

- Mark Henry backflips on his decision from last month and joins D'Lo and Teddy Long, as does Jacqueline.

- Big Show and Kane continue to brawl all throughout the arena throughout May, leading to Regal eventually telling them to settle their differences in Hell in a Cell for the Hardcore Title.

- Billy Gunn is looking for a new tag team partner, tries out Jerry Lynn... they lose to the A.P.A. Later in the month he tries again with Test... and they lose to D'Lo and Mark Henry.

- The final Raw before Judgment Day, Austin tells Undertaker he wants their match to be a Street Fight, Taker accepts.

- After Rhyno continually attacks Eddie Guerrero throughout the month, Eddie puts his European Title on the line against the Manbeast at Judgment Day.

- Even Vince starts to get a bit annoyed at Regal abusing his own power to keep his Intercontinental Title, he tells him he needs to defend it at Judgment Day, Regal assures Vince he will.

- Similar to last month against Shane, Vince books Jericho to face he and Triple H in a handicap match at Judgment Day to "teach these ex-WCW guys some respect". Stephanie pleads for Triple H to not get caught up in her father's crazy WCW crusade, but he says there's nothing he can do...

2001-05.png

So just a side-note on this one... I'm pretty sure the Network blocked Hell in a Cell between Big Show and Kane due to the Risk. I think I fixed my broadcasters after that.

<p><strong>NICKMAN'S INVASION - JUNE 2001</strong></p><p> </p><p>

- William Regal announces a 32-man King of the Ring tournament, with the winner getting a WWF Title shot at Fully Loaded. Unsurprisingly, he books himself against Molly Holly in the very first match, however RVD causes a distraction and costs him the match!</p><p> </p><p>

- The qualifying rounds of the KOTR tournament played out like this... can anyone spot the mistake? I never noticed it at the time, and can't find any explanation for it, so can only assume it was a glaring oversight on my behalf. This wouldn't have happened in TEW2020 with the new tournament system!</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="2001-06-KOTR.png" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/8jt1HjZ/2001-06-KOTR.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

- Also throughout the end of May and into June, Vince continues his vendetta against ex-WCW guys, specifically targeting the Radicalz now. Vince tells Undertaker if he and HHH destroy Eddie & Benoit then he'll get another WWF Title shot, this annoys Triple H, who thinks he deserves a shot for doing all of Vince's "dirty work".</p><p> </p><p>

- Vince allows Undertaker to choose the stipulation for his WWF Title match with Austin at KOTR, after weeks of deliberation, Taker chooses a "No Holds Barred" triple threat match with Kane involved, leading to speculation of whether the brothers are working together again. Right before KOTR though, Austin grants Kane a one-on-one WWF Title shot, which Undertaker interferes in, which leads to the brothers brawling amongst themselves.</p><p> </p><p>

- After two months of Grandmaster Sexay trying to get Rikishi to dance again, Scotty officially returns and they get the big man back into the fold... Too Cool reunites!</p><p> </p><p>

- Billy Gunn continues his hunt for a tag team partner, tries out Steve Blackman... but they lose to Right to Censor. Raven continually fights Right to Censor throughout May and June on a one-man crusade, defeating the Goodfather in his KOTR match and leading to Goodfather/Val getting increasingly annoyed at Steven Richards. Raven gets run-down by a black van before his Round 2 match with Val, leading to Venis winning by forfeit.</p><p> </p><p>

- Trish Stratus reforms T&A with Test and Albert. The Hardy Boys beat the Dudleys to get a Tag Title match against Edge & Christian, which they win. T&A brutally attack Lita backstage as the Hardys are celebrating. Edge & Christian lose their rematch, as Edge is seemingly more focussed on the KOTR tournament. This annoys Christian, as he is knocked out in the first round.</p><p> </p><p>

- RVD and Molly announce that they're dating, which Crash strongly disapproves of (I think Hardcore Holly was injured or suspended during this time period). Molly does much better in the KOTR tournament than expected, meaning she will face off against RVD in the first Quarter Final at the PPV.</p><p> </p><p>

- Big Show battles with the Dudley Boys throughout June, with Spike and Bubba Ray both getting unsuccessful title shots at the Hardcore belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- After one of the Hardys matches, T&A set-up Lita for a Powerbomb through a table, which causes the Hardys to accept a Tag Title challenge for KOTR.</p><p> </p><p>

- Vince eventually gets sick of Regal abusing his powers as Commissioner, and due to him being an ex-WCW guy, officially relieves him of his post. Vince also books him to defend his Intercontinental belt against RVD on Raw, which he promptly loses.</p><p> </p><p>

- A few weeks before KOTR, Vince tries to fire all ex-WCW guys, but Linda and Stephanie block this as a "blatant abuse of power". Vince instead puts all their contracts on the line at KOTR in another Handicap match which sees Jericho & Eddie face Kurt Angle, Triple H and Vince. Triple H is starting to get visibly annoyed at being constantly caught up in Vince's war instead of fighting for the WWF Title like he thinks he deserves.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="2001-06.png" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/9q4MWW6/2001-06.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p><strong>NICKMAN'S INVASION - JULY 2001</strong></p><p> </p><p>

- The night following KOTR, Christian tells Edge he doesn't deserve his WWF Title shot at Fully Loaded, so Edge puts his shot on the line. It ends in a double count-out, leading to Austin telling them they can BOTH face him at the PPV.</p><p> </p><p>

- Vince is furious that the ex-WCW guys got to keep their contracts, tells Triple H, Kurt Angle and Rhyno that if they can't take them out legally, they'll do it illegally. They comply by jumping Saturn & Malenko in the carpark, putting both their heads through windshields.</p><p> </p><p>

- After Triple H & Kurt Angle beat Eddie & Jericho on Raw, they continue to assault them (along with Rhyno), until Shane McMahon comes to the rescue... with the WCW Champion Booker T and Diamond Dallas Page!</p><p> </p><p>

- Vince tells Shane on Smackdown! that Booker T & DDP aren't legally allowed to compete in the WWF. After protesting this point with Stephanie to no avail, Shane eventually goads Vince into a 3 on 3 match at Fully Loaded for the WCW guys' right to compete in the WWF... it'll be Shane, Booker T & DDP vs Vince, Triple H & Kurt Angle! </p><p> </p><p>

- Triple H is now entirely sick of being involved in the WWF vs WCW war, Vince assures him if they win at Fully Loaded and put WCW to bed forever he'll get a WWF Title shot at Summerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

- Crash continues to disapprove of Molly and Rob Van Dam. Eventually Hardcore Holly returns and attacks RVD, leading to an Intercontinental match between the two at Fully Loaded. Hardcore Holly tells RVD that if RVD wins, then he & Crash will leave RVD & Molly alone.</p><p> </p><p>

- T&A defeat the Dudley Boys for another WWF Tag Title shot at Fully Loaded after Big Show interferes. After the match, Big Show chokeslams both Bubba & D-Von, leading to Spike attacking him with a steel chair. They continually brawl leading up to Fully Loaded, and Big Show puts his Hardcore Title on the line at the PPV against all three brothers!</p><p> </p><p>

- After Trish continually attacks Lita, Lita says she's giving her "one last Women's Title shot" at Fully Loaded.</p><p> </p><p>

- Val Venis comes to the ring the night after KOTR dressed as a pornstar again, defeats Bull Buchanan, but gets beaten down by Right to Censor following the match. After Val costs Right to Censor a WWF Tag Title match, Goodfather challenges him to a match at Fully Loaded... if Val wins then Goodfather has to quit Right to Censor, but if Val Venis wins, he needs to quit the WWF!</p><p> </p><p>

- Undertaker blames Kane for their loss at KOTR, and they start to brawl leading into Fully Loaded. Eventually Undertaker calls out Kane and tells him they need to finish it at Fully Loaded, Kane just nods his head.</p><p> </p><p>

- The final Smackdown! before Summerslam, Vince agrees to let Booker T & DDP wrestle a "warm-up match" against the A.P.A., which they win before getting beaten down by Triple H, Kurt Angle & Rhyno.</p><p> </p><p>

- In an attempt to drive a wedge between them, Vince books Eddie to face Jericho at Fully Loaded for the European Title. He also throws Rhyno into the match to "do some damage".</p><p> </p><p>

- Austin defeats both Edge & Christian in a Handicap match on the final Smackdown! before Fully Loaded, but after the match they deliver a thundering conchairto to his head... will he even be fit to compete at the PPV?</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="2001-07.png" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/zQDbh9K/2001-07.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p><strong>NICKMAN'S INVASION - AUGUST 2001</strong></p><p> </p><p>

- The night following Fully Loaded, Vince reminds Shane that he still has control over Linda's 25% share in WWF, so the WCW guys will be "banished" to only compete on Smackdown! and Vince will have complete booking control over them. Triple H interrupts Vince, wanting his WWF Title shot, however so does The Rock, and a Number 1 contender match is set-up. Before the match, Vince reminds Triple H there's still a war to fight with WCW, but HHH is not interested anymore, so Vince gets Big Show to cost Triple H his Number 1 contender match with The Rock and he chokeslams him through a table in the process. Austin vs The Rock for the WWF Title is booked for Summerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

- Kane continues to attack the Undertaker, saying he's "gone soft" as the Biker gimmick, which eventually leads to a Buried Alive match at Summerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

- Edge & Christian agree to put losing to Austin behind them and refocus on the WWF Tag Titles, but after losing their Number 1 Contender match to the Dudley Boys, Christian brutally beats down Edge with a steel chair. After countless cheap-shots by Christian, Edge calls him a coward, leading to a match at Summerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

- The first Smackdown! after Fully Loaded, Shane officially welcomes the WCW guys to the WWF, but Vince interrupts and tells them all four active WCW titles will be defended tonight. Big Show immediately defeats Booker T for the WCW United States title, with Vince screaming for Big Show to "finish the job" after the match, but Triple H makes the save! Triple H and Big Show continue to fight throughout August, and a WCW United States title match between the two is set-up for Summerslam. When Triple H refuses to rejoin Vince's war, Vince adds himself to the match on Big Show's side, turning it into a handicap match.</p><p> </p><p>

- The same night, Shane Helms defeats Grandmaster Sexay to retain the WCW Cruiserweight title, and although Too Cool offers to dance with a seemingly re-formed 3 Count, the boy band ends up jumping them and beating them down.</p><p> </p><p>

- The A.P.A. defeats O'Haire & Palumbo for the WCW Tag Titles, but after the match Mark Jindrak, Shawn Stasiak and Mike Sanders beat-down Faarooq & Bradshaw, standing tall with their former Natural Born Thrillers stable-mates. Later in the month after a successful title defence against Palumbo & O'Haire, the A.P.A. are assaulted by KroniK! KroniK gets a WCW Tag Title match with the A.P.A. at Summerslam after Brian Adams defeats Faarooq on Smackdown!</p><p> </p><p>

- Booker T manages to defend the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against the Undertaker, after the match, the WWF Champion Steve Austin comes out for a stare-down with Booker T... but they end up sharing beers!</p><p> </p><p>

- The Steiner brothers make it very clear they want the WWF Tag Titles, and after continually assaulting the Hardys, they agree to a title match at Summerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

- Molly earns a WWF Women's Title match against Lita after defeating Right to Censor's Ivory, however their match on Raw gets thrown out after WCW's Torrie Wilson & Stacy Keibler attack them both and strip them in the ring! Throughout August the story remains the same, as anytime Victoria or Molly get Women's Title shots, Torrie & Stacy attack and disrupt the match. </p><p> </p><p>

- After having to quit Right to Censor, the Godfather starts coming out as a pimp again, and he and Val Venis start to team up again as Supply & Demand. They agree to a "Loser Leaves Town" match with what remains of Right to Censor at Summerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

- William Regal continually asks Vince to let him prove his loyalty to WWF, eventually Regal & Angle end up in a match at Summerslam against Eddie & Benoit.</p><p> </p><p>

- Rey Mysterio appears to save Billy Kidman from a beat-down by Kanyon and the Filthy Animals reunite.</p><p> </p><p>

- Rhyno keeps attacking RVD, so RVD calls him out for a match at Summerslam with BOTH their titles, the Intercontinental title and the European, on the line.</p><p> </p><p>

- Stephanie pleads with Vince to let Shane have booking control over his WCW guys, but Vince refuses, and continually forces Booker T to defend his World Heavyweight title every week on Smackdown! Although Jericho refuses to sign a WCW contract and be "stuck on Smackdown!", he continually helps Booker win his matches to stick it to Vince. The final Raw before Summerslam, Linda tells Vince he's "mad with power" and he no longer can use her shares, so Vince and Shane now have equal control! Shane books Jericho vs Booker T for the World Heavyweight title at Summerslam, however on the final Smackdown! before the PPV, Jericho turns on Booker and lays him out with the World Heavyweight belt!</p><p> </p><p>

<p><strong>NICKMAN'S INVASION - SEPTEMBER 2001</strong></p><p> </p><p>

- The night after SummerSlam, Vince bans all nWo members from the arena, books a WWF Title rematch for that night between Austin & The Rock. During the night, Triple H gets found laid out in the carpark with nWo spay-painted on his chest. Austin beats The Rock to retain his WWF Title, but again the nWo (Hogan, Hall & Nash) attack them both post-match, and Hollywood Hogan says the nWo are taking over, brother.</p><p> </p><p>

- Shane comes out with Bischoff & the nWo the following Smackdown! and reveals that Eric has bought out Shane's shares in the WWF, he now has equal control with Vince.</p><p> </p><p>

- Some of the WCW guys, like Booker and DDP, are concerned about Shane siding with the nWo, saying they're cancer on WCW and only care about themselves. Shane dismisses these fears. Booker T & DDP face off against Austin & The Rock on Smackdown!, only for the nWo to send it to a no contest and take out all four men. Triple H makes the save with his sledgehammer and the nWo scatters.</p><p> </p><p>

- Vince announces the next PPV will be called WCW inVasion, and every match will be WWF vs WCW. Eric ups the ante by challenging Vince to a Street Fight at inVasion, and if Eric wins, the following PPV will be WCW Halloween Havoc, not WWF No Mercy. Bischoff later reveals that Vince won't be fighting him, he'll be facing Ric Flair!</p><p> </p><p>

- Seemingly with their differences behind them (and now both faces), Edge & Christian go after KroniK, mocking them until they give them a WCW Tag Title shot on Raw, which they win. They then beat them soundly again the following week in their rematch, and the following weeks they beat O'Haire & Palumbo and then 3 Count, which leads to them mocking how "crappy" the WCW tag teams are. Eric then books them to defend their new titles against not one, but THREE tag teams at inVasion!</p><p> </p><p>

- The Hardys want their WWF Tag Title rematch with the Steiners, but they find them laid out through tables backstage (in reality I think Scott Steiner was injured for a few weeks and couldn't compete). The Dudleys deny having anything to do with it and a few weeks later challenge the Hardys for the "vacant" belts when the Steiners don't make another appearance. The Hardys beat the Dudleys on Smackdown!, but Rick Steiner appears, says he's out of hospital and the Steiners will defend their titles against the Hardys at inVasion.</p><p> </p><p>

- William Regal says he's sided back with WCW because of the lack of respect Vince has shown him despite his loyalty to the WWF. He challenges Benoit, Eddie & Saturn to a 3 vs 3 match at inVasion and reveals his partners to be the Legion of Doom.</p><p> </p><p>

- DDP gets a United States title shot against Triple H on Raw, but wins by DQ when Big Show attacks him, claiming it should be HIS title shot, not DDP's. This eventually leads to Big Show and DDP agreeing to face each other in a Cage match at inVasion.</p><p> </p><p>

- Jericho gets given a WCW World Heavyweight title shot by Bischoff on Smackdown!, with the proviso that he signs with WCW if he wins. Bischoff then engages the nWo to make sure Jericho wins so they snag his signature. Austin, The Rock & Triple H thwart Bischoff & the nWo though, helping Booker T regain his title and leading to Austin, The Rock & Triple H vs Hall, Hogan & Nash at inVasion.</p><p> </p><p>

- Following this, Kurt Angle gets a Number 1 Contender match with Chris Jericho on Smackdown! to see who faces Booker T at inVasion, Angle beats Jericho, which leads to Jericho throwing a massive tantrum. </p><p> </p><p>

- After Rhyno successfully defends his Intercontinental Title against Rob Van Dam, Buff Bagwell attacks him and poses with both of Rhyno's belts, the Intercontinental and European championships. Rhyno then puts both his belts on the line against Bagwell on Smackdown!, which Rhyno wins. Rhyno is found unconscious in the car-park just before inVasion, so Vince books Jericho vs RVD vs Lance Storm vs Buff Bagwell at inVasion to determine the Number 1 Contender to his Intercontinental belt.</p><p> </p><p>

- Victoria has joined WCW and sided with Torrie & Stacy. She tells Lita she'll get a Women's Title match at inVasion if she beats Torrie & Stacy in a Handicap match, which Lita does.</p><p> </p><p>

- Every match Dean Malenko fights in gets interfered in by Chavo, Malenko eventually has had enough and offers Chavo a WCW Cruiserweight vs WWF Light Heavyweight title unification match at inVasion.</p><p> </p><p>

Nice, cheers for the feedback guys. I’ve only got three more months to write-up; Halloween Havoc, Survivor Series and then the December PPV and then I’m into the save on TEW2020!

Wanted to get it finished today but I’ve got the worst hangover I’ve had in years. Might try and knock out one or two of them before bed though if I can.

NICKMAN'S INVASION - OCTOBER 2001

- The night after inVasion, Bischoff brags that Vince is now "on the shelf" so he has sole control of the WWF leading into Halloween Havoc.

- There's tension in the Radicalz' ranks as Malenko claims Eddie cost him his title match at inVasion. Eddie faces Kevin Nash for a WWF Title shot at Halloween Havoc, but a Malenko distraction costs him the match. Saturn & Benoit try to keep the peace as the two continue to argue throughout October. Eventually they agree to settle their differences at Halloween Havoc. Saturn & Benoit claim impartiality, saying they just want the two to settle it fair and square, so the Radicalz can move on as a unit.

- With Big Show on board, the nWo now outnumbers Austin, The Rock and Triple H again and use their numbers to their advantage. Triple H and Scott Hall feud throughout October, leading to HHH putting his US Title on the line against Hall at Halloween Havoc.

- The Rock goads Nash into putting his WWF Title shot on the line on Smackdown!, but Nash wins when Hogan gets involved. Hogan vs The Rock is set-up for Halloween Havoc and is billed as "Legend vs Future Legend".

- On the road to Halloween Havoc and having to defend his WCW World Heavyweight Title against Ric Flair, Booker has to face Big Show with his belt on the line. He wins, after The Rock gets involved to send a clear message to the nWo and Hogan.

- The New Age Outlaws reunite and promptly defeat T&A in their first night back. They continue to win throughout October, culminating in defeating Palumbo & O'Haire for the right to face the Steiners at Halloween Havoc for the WWF Tag titles.

- Bischoff seems to be losing his mind as he gifts Austin & The Rock a throwaway WWF Tag Title match against the Steiners on Raw, but it's a trap, as the Steiners reveal themselves to be members of the nWo and Austin and The Rock are brutally beaten down. The nWo now has six active members (not counting Bischoff), and are using their numbers to dominate the WWF.

- Two weeks before Halloween Havoc, Booker T tells Hogan he's sick of him and his mouth and offers him a shot as the World Heavyweight title. Flair, incensed that Hogan is getting a shot before his own match at Halloween Havoc, interferes in the match and Booker wins by DQ.

- Edge & Christian continue to brag about being the best tag team there is, until the Road Warriors confront them. The Road Warriors beat-down the WCW Tag champs backstage and they brawl the following week after their match with the New Age Outlaws goes to a no contest. For some reason though, Hugh Morrus and Kanyon earn the right to face Edge & Christian at Halloween Havoc and the Road Warriors abruptly disappear off television (I suspect Hawk went to rehab, he usually does).

- Trish and Lita are now on the same page and working together to take out the WCW trio of Victoria, Stacy & Torrie. As part of her face turn, Trish abandons T&A (who flounder without her), and after Trish & Lita fight the WCW girls throughout October, they eventually agree to a 3 vs 3 match, with Molly Holly filling the third spot for Team WWF.

- Kurt Angle complains about a lack of respect and continually bugs Bischoff about a match at Halloween Havoc, but Bischoff isn't interested in the WWF superstar, saying he has "no place" for the Olympic gold medalist. Despite the fact he can't secure a match for the PPV, he claims he's still going to show up at the event.

- Spike Dudley continues to defend the Hardcore title against all comers, claiming to be the "toughest Hardcore Champion to ever live".

- After successfully defending the newly unified Cruiserweight title against Grand Master Sexay, Chavo is confronted by Rey Mysterio, who says he's coming for his belt.

- After weeks of speculation about whether he'll return and face Buff Bagwell, Rhyno arrives at the last possible second and soundly trumps Bagwell to retain the Intercontinental Championship. A few weeks later, Jericho, DDP & Bagwell face off in an Intercontinental Number 1 contender triple threat match on Smackdown!, leading to a no contest which sets up a 4-way elimination match with Rhyno at Halloween Havoc.

- The Smackdown! before Halloween Havoc, the New Age Outlaws face the Outsiders, and Triple H saves Road Dogg & Billy Gunn from a beat-down by Hall, Nash & the Steiners… is this a possible D-Generation X reunion??
