What's Going on in Your Game?

Recommended Posts

So I hired Rafe Sashay and Phil Anders for a few months to get them some pop so they'll be booked on Indy shows, and teamed them up as The VIPs since their stats are virtually identical and they play similar characters. Turns out, they have chemistry together, and they're a perfect heel jobber team. I'm thinking about regularly hiring them on 3 month contracts, letting their contracts expire, and picking them up again later, booking them a little bit better each time as their stats improve.

I've been trying to keep canon in this TCW game, but booking Battleground was kind of a slog, and it got me real jaded until I noticed Jay Chord's popularity had shot up like nine points in a month. Now I'm rewriting my Total Mayhem plans to include Chord in the main event.

Other random stuff I've got going on is Ernest Youngman, Rich & Famous, and Logan Wolfsbaine arriving on the scene as The Steel City Saints and just being general nuisances to the lower midcard while they gain pop, One Man Army and Doc Hammond teaming back up as The New Wave to feud with The Behemoths, and T-Bone Bright feuding with Greg Gauge over the TV Title.

Welcome to the coastal zone 2024 is in the books and for the most part it was a great show and a great build towards the next generation of CZCW.

In the opening ladder match, DeMarcus and Gray's 664 day reign as tag team champions (technically two years) as The Beach Boys claimed the titles ahead of The California Dreams and The Dynamite Express. I love this title reign and it might be one of my favourite tag reigns I've ever booked with them getting over cocky in the end and it costing them the titles. The plan now is to move DeMarcus and Gray towards the COTT titles while The Beach Boys will lose to The Dynamite Express who will eventually drop to The California Dreams.

Following that we had the battle of two formed stable mates as "The Monster" James Diaz took his rightful place as the leader of Undisputed Legacy by defeating former leader Ash Campbell in a wild brawl. Diaz said that Campbell had took too much responsibility and failed every time so it was time for someone else too take charge. Now with just him, Raymond and Robin DaLay in the stable he will be on the lookout for new members while I think I'm going to push Campbell and George Wolfe together as a former rivals turned allies tag team to challenge them.

Speaking of George Wolfe, the next big match on the card saw him go up against El Jaguar. It had been a frustrating year for Jaguar as he beat Tigre Salvaje last year but then failed twice, once in a singles match and once in a triple threat to take Fuyuko Higa's CZCW title, and then watched as Tigre Salvaje took that title before losing once more to Salvaje. He attempted to get a measure of revenge here but lost to the dominant George Wolfe.

The next match was pretty insignificant as Lucy Stone-McFly beat an enhancement talent but considering she's unimportant perception and got a 70 in-ring performance it was incredible to see. Following the show I signed her to an exclusive written deal as well as doing the same for David Stone. Both are on relatively low wages because of their low popularity and on long contracts so I'm going to make great use of two of the best young talent in the world. CWA going under has done massive stuff for us and given us some great talent to work with.

Next up, the CZCW Extreme title was on the line as the "new" Onslaught put his title on the line against Kid Fantastic. Onslaught won the title for the first time last year at WTTCZ but lost it to Zel Quinn in a ladder match at Hardcore Halloween and following that he snapped, beating the hell out of Quinn and reclaiming the title two months later. After retaining against Quinn in a steel cage last month he looked to end the young kids career but Kid Fantastic would make the save. Kid Fantastic would win this match and win his first ever title for the company although I don't think his reign will be long as his stamina seriously limits the matches he can have. Their are currently three options of who he could drop it too: Quinn, Onslaught or Akira Arato.

The semi-main event was originally for the COTT World title but Frankie Perez lost it a month before this show to Jamie Atherton at an ACPW show so his match with former 21CW star Darin Flynn was just a normal singles match. Darin Flynn would pick up the win and following the match Frankie Perez would say goodbye to CZCW following a legendary career as he will be joining TCW. A big loss but one we've been ready for a long time now.

The main event saw my top two wrestlers of the save so far go head to head for the CZCW Title, Tigre Salvaje Jr © and Fuyuko Higa. After winning the title last year Higa had a great reign getting in five successful defences before she lost the title to Tigre Salvaje in February at CZCW Vendetta. Instead of taking an automatic rematch she instead entered the Uprising Tournament for the second year in a row and won it, defeating IPW's Zombie Boy in the final to become the first ever two time winner of the tournament. She won her title back here in another 89 rated match meaning the two singles matches between these two as well as a triple threat involving El Jaguar (88) are our top three matches of all time. After leaving 5SSW Higa signed an exclusive contract with me so I have her positioned as the figurehead of the company and she will be the top star for years to come.

Following the show we said goodbye to Frankie Perez as well as releasing enhancement talent Trix Triumph and Bowden Snoop but the main talking points were the signings we have made. In addition to David Stone we signed Zimmy Bumfhole who was released by SWF, re-hired Ellie De Grazia and Tony DeWonderful and brought in Joy Ryder. In other news we've continued to improve our broadcaster as we are tiny now in Canada and Mexico as well as very small in the US. We have 574,000 in the bank.

<p>Playing the WCW Lives 2001 mod. I modified it a bit and started in August of 2001. It's been a rather eventful game where I screw myself. I edited Shawn Michaels contract to WCW, along with Brock Lesnar and Shelton Benjamin and Eddie Guerroe. About a month into the game I realized that Shawn Michaels was preset on Hiatus, and apparently there is no way to edit him out of it. It threw a wrench in my plans bc i planned on debuting him in the lead up to StarrCade. I said screw it Im too deep and happy with the game im not starting over. Well it's August of 2002 and he still is on hiatus. <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Really hope he comes back before StarrCade this year. My plan from the begginning was to get him a 1v1 w Ric Flair, and Sting, then a Triple Threat with the three at StarrCades over a 3 year span.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyways Brock has been running the show undefeated since his debut. He won the big gold belt at StarrCade and I planned on having him hold it until this coming StarrCade where he would drop it to Goldberg if I was able to sign Goldberg (Goldberg is unavailible due to legal reasons until November, another thing I didnt notice right away that was preset).</p><p> </p><p>

I introduced Money in the Bank at SuperBrawl and had Eddie Guerroe win it. He has been by far my best worker through the game. Hes a face, and I had him win a No. 1 contenders match for Spring Stampede against Brock which he lost. My tentative plan was for him to cash in at the January PPV after the Brock-Goldberg rematch that would see Brock regain the belt only to lose it to Eddie.</p><p> </p><p>

Heres where I screwed myself again. The night after Bash at the Beach I had sting and Scott Steiner introduced as No.1 Contenders. I normally AutoBook shows then go through and change stuff around to fit what i want. So the autobooker through up a match of Eddie v Brock in main event. the segment before I edited to Sting and Steiner being introduced as No1 contenders then subsequently beating up Brock before his match. What i failed to monitor was the Brock v Eddie match. It was set to a title match, and I never set a winner. Lo and behold we have a new WCW Champ. I was pretty pissed at first when i realized my screw up. </p><p> </p><p>

Now, I'm chalking it up to a MitB cashin. the planned triple threat match has been changed to a fatal fourway for august ppv. Im debating on having Sting win the title or eddie retain there setting up a war games for fall brawl before having brock go over at halloween havoc to regain the title. </p><p> </p><p>

long story short i screwed myself and it has breathed fresh air into a game that was kind of hitting the boring tune for me until the lead up to StarrCade.</p><p> </p><p>

Edit: so i ran the 4 way match and had Sting go over. Next day at Nitro tapings he suffers a minor staph infection because of Brock. luckily hes only out 4 weeks and i have a 6 week build to fall brawl.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Another cool thing that happened. Steve Austins contract was set to expire and a week after he resigns with WWE he is busted in a prostitute scandal and fired.</p>

So I'm debating about doing a Taboo Tuesday. I'm guessing the easiest way to go would be a generator to pick who it would be. So what would be the best route in going that way? What is a good pick generator I could use to simulate the purpose of the show?

Playing with the Ruthless Aggression 2004 mod. Almost completed my first year now. Started with my own company.

Some memorable moments from my first year...

- Being able to hire Adam Copeland, Sean Waltman and Joanie Laurer into my tiny company...

- Linda and Vince McMahon divorced...

- Managing to hire Terry Funk. He wrestled his first match at a PPV... and passed away the next day :(

- Struggling with a really toxic backstage for almost 7 months (sometimes down to 30%). I had enough at my August PPV on told everyone who isn't satisfied to leave... Samoa Joe and Dusty Rhodes walked out and since then the backstage area is in total bliss.

So of all of the games I have ran so far the "weirdest" random event was running USPW in the Cornell Universe and almost immediately their biggest female star, Alicia Strong, was found guilty of 2nd degree murder, and sentenced to 17 years in prison!

……..I didn't hold her roster spot for her.

You will need to play the save out now. Bring her back in 17 years hah

I always wanted this to happen in my game with any worker but no luck.

I didn't realize that that could happen tbh...

Too late now but it would have been funny to give her a May Young/Fabulous Moolah push in an orange jumpsuit.

Wolf Hawkins retired two years into this save after a scandal, and he's become the youngest HoI inductee because of it. I can't wait to convince him to come out of retirement once his scandal time is passed and sign him now that I've got MAW up to medium.

<p>In July '04 using the Ruthless Aggression mod, I brought in The Miz as a color commentator for Heat after I moved Al Snow back to an active spot and he just became Booker T's protégé. I'm interested to see if this helps his potential career being taught under Booker. </p><p> </p><p>

Also, Mike Bennett has been actively jobbing on Heat & Velocity during dark matches and he became the protégé of DDP after I resigned him to help get JBL over. JBL jump 30 in pop over two months and I went ahead and gave him the Heavyweight title early to get in a feud of 'Taker vs. Latino Heat while JBL feuds with Angle and DDP.</p>

<p>Just finished up Total Mayhem XXIV, and it was my best show by far. </p><p> </p><p>

At first I had a good feeling when this thrown together mid-card match did so well:</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="lVzlE9C.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lVzlE9C.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Then my two main events went like this:</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="xWTu2zA.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xWTu2zA.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<img alt="O92F51f.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/O92F51f.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

And my show ended like this:</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="zkwuP80.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zkwuP80.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Which resulted in this:</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="rWTRQm5.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rWTRQm5.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I’m thinking Sammy Bach vs. Wolf Hawkins to main event Summer Spectacular. Loving this save.</p>

Had Bret Hart come up to me and tell me he wanted to put Rey Mysterio over before his 1st match in the company.

It worked perfectly into the fued he has with SCSA and now I have a Red Hot 19 year old babyface in Rey. Might totally change my plans for what I was getting with Rey.

I started with CWA, cancelled their TV contract and turned them into a Japanese style touring company. Added a Junior Heavyweight Title and a couple more tournaments. Nearing the end of the Super Slam Grand Prix now which is like my G1, winner will get a title shot at Ultimate Showdown.

<p>Got to November 2022 in my MAW game, and decided to check out the unimportant people in SWF, TCW, and USPW. I was pretty shocked to see Joey Morgan there for SWF. He's not even in a steep time decline, he just hasn't won a match since October 2020.</p><p> </p><p>

I guess SWF remembered how he would turn the locker room into a cesspool in 2016 and decided to nip it in the bud.</p>

I'd personally fire anyone that dislikes our future ace Starlight Kid!

I didn't read this haha. Since then i had a couple more of meetings and everything is allright between them now. But yeah, in game SLK is a better worker than Leyla, although i think irl Leyla would be great on Impact, i don't think she is ready for AEW, maybe yes for NXT.

Seth is LIVing the life apparently.
