WHAT, WAIT ...STAR WARS EPISODE 7:eek:

And now i find out also that it will not be the Thrawn series (books) which took place directly after episode 6 and is considered part of the star wars cannon.

That was a awesome series and would have made a great movie trilogy:mad:

There is no way Lucas wrote film treatments for stories based on Timothy Zahns books so no way we'll see any eu stories in the next three episodes.

I am excited that the news most likely means that the live action tv show will actually get made now at least. It took Disney just 3 years to get moving on their Marvel tv show and although i wanted it to be runaways, the SHIELD show sounds like fun.

I watched Prometheus for the first time the other day. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a great story and Michael Fassbender is just an awesome actor. Hell, he was the one redeeming quality in Jonah Hex.

Also, last night I watched The Devil's Carnival. It's about 55 minutes long, but it's awesome. If you enjoyed Repo! The Genetic Opera, I highly recommend it. It has a great cast and Ivan Moody(Motograter/5 Finger Death Punch vocalist) actually impressed the hell out of me with his performance.

Plus, it has Alexa Vega dressed sorta like Harley Quinn and that's just...

Yeah, I'm shutting up now.

I saw "Man with the Iron Fists" with a buddy. When it was over, we turned to each other and were like, "This movie was awesome!"

I don't think we got to the aisle before we heard people bitching and moaning about how much it sucked lol. As we're leavign we hear arguments and praise. It was so weird. I'm a massive movie geek and I go at least once a week. The reason I bring this up is I can't remember leaving a movie theater and seeing such a vocal and polarizing reaction to a film.

People either loved it or hated it. I'm definitely in the former though I thought it was really cool and had it's own voice and feel.

Last movie that I saw get that reaction was Rambo. Half the theater praised the hell out of it, and the other half, mostly preppy girls, hated it.

I on the other hand, loved it.

Rambo was awesome, dude. Me and my friends were pumped from the trailers so I was a little concerned we would be disappointed. I thought that thing was a masterpiece of an action movie. Story was good action movie stuff: Just enough to make me care but it never got too complicated or drawn out.

And the action scenes were pure brutality. Just don't see that kind of stuff anymore. I don't know that we ever did.

Expendables got pretty gnarly with the violence, but not as bad as Rambo.

I love action movies period, so when Expendables got released, I was pumped. I loved both movies. I hope number 3 happens and I hope Wesley Snipes is able to be in it.

Preferably as a villain sort of like Simon Phoenix, because that role was amazing.

Jus got my tix to see Pulp Fiction on Dec 6th!!!!!!!

It's my second favorite movie of all time behind T2 so I'm pretty pumped about this. I got to see Lawrence of Arabia and The Godfather on the big screen.

Both were an absolute treat.

I'm more than happy to throw Quentin another few bucks lol.

BTW the respect you gave Rambo 4.. I give you respect tenfold. That's literally one of the best action films I've ever seen. Def the best of the last few years. IMO, Rambo 4 is a masterpiece and if only a few people truly respect, I am OK with that.

Here's my top 5 action films:

1) T2 (because it's God)

2) Matrix (changed my life)

3) Rambo 4 (didnt think they'd ever make something this brutal/beautiful again. Stands with Natural Born Killers if you ask me.)

4) Expendables 2 ( no explanation needed)

5) Dirty Dozen (sheer emotional output per minute)

<p>Saw "Pulp Fiction" on the big screen last night. Awesome! Ticket was $12.50 at a theater that charges $9 for a tidckt usually. I was a little annoyed that an 18 year old movie somehow costs MORE to go to lol</p><p> </p><p>

About a half hour before the film started, they showed some Tarentino trivia with interspersed original trailers of his films. All of them :-)</p><p> </p><p>

Then they showed about 15 minutes or so of interviews from friends of quentin and a few actors before the film, talking about the making of it and cool little stories. Then they had a 15 minute trailer reel of some old movies, including the original Al Pacino Scarface trailer, and the theatrical trailer for "The Killer" with Chow Yun Fat. Stuff like that. </p><p> </p><p>

Then, a good 30 minutes after the posted start time lol, the movie started. It was an absolute blast to watch it with twisted freaks for this film who laugh at all the same little things I laugh at and enjoy. Plus, the film had a different look on the big screen. Just looked better, more vibrant. Things bounce off the screen at you, and I noticed little things like how characters cross over due to audio cues and things like that.</p><p> </p><p>

Really really enjoyed myself.</p>

The Hobbit was wonderful. More fun than LOTR. Hard to say better, due to the difference in scope and tone. Hobbit's just more enjoyable and less heavy. Less to think about I guess. It's a lot more straightforward and easy to follow.

Martin Freeman is fantastic in it. Effortless.

And it was absolutely gorgeous to look at.

Earlier my best friend and I watched The Collector. It was it the first time he had seen it and the first time in awhile I've seen it. Such a brutal movie. Afterwards we went and saw the sequel The Collection...

I don't think I've cringed so much in my life.

I absolutely love The Collector and the sequel did not disappoint.

Jaysin we would be best friends in real life lol. I loved the Collector. Didn't get a chance to see The Collection yet though.

I'm not a big "torture movie" guy. I typically roll my eyes at them. I do like the good ones like this one and the first Saw and stuff like that. I was one of the lucky people who got to see "The Collector" before I was told what the twist was, so I kinda dug the little journey it took me on.

When I originally saw the Collector, the only thing I was told was that it put Saw to shame.

I don't really get into the torture stuff either, but I do like horror movies with imaginativeness when it comes to kills. Collector and Collection both have those in spades!

A different actor plays the Collector in the sequel, but the movie itself is just as good. Josh Stewart is awesome as Arkin.

It's only "filler" if you feel it all needs to strictly follow the book. As a film that stands out on it's own, it worked well. It was well paced and I fell in love with the characters.

I actually felt it was slightly more well paced than any of The Lord of the Rings films, where I felt if anything they were totally rushed.

<p>So I watched the original Dirty Harry movie and I also watched the Dead Pool (The last in the Dirty Harry series.) the other day. Dirty Harry has held up nicely even though it has been out for over forty years. Dead Pool…not so much.</p><p> </p><p>

I remember when I was a kid and Dead Pool came out and I saw it with my father. I loved the movie, I mean for a ten year old boy what is there not to love about a remote control car with an explosive in it.</p><p> </p><p>

However, watching it the other day made me realize just how bad it was. The acting was not bad (I believe it was one of Jim Carrey’s first movies), I just felt that the pacing of the movie was rushed. The plot was not all that great either.</p><p> </p><p>

I find it so weird how movies of your youth that you held in such high regard, pretty much suck when you view them as an adult. Boys in the Hood, I am looking at you when I make that comment (What a terrible movie that was.).<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/mad.png.69834f23b9a8bf290d98375f56f1c794.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Saw Django, I'll keep it totally spoiler free but I really liked it a lot. I thought Jamie Foxx was probably the best I've seen him. Christoph Waltz was awesome too. They really were wonderful to watch together. It's crazy that DiCaprio is in a movie and he's the least noticeably awesome actor in it.

I saw it Saturday night. I loved it. I heard Tarantino said Will Smith was originally intended for the role but after talking with Will he didn't feel Will was right for the role. Foxx nailed it.

I was the only person in my group that realized James Remar was in it twice.

Leo was great in his role I thought. Such a great movie. I thought about going to see it again.

Has anyone seen Killing Them Softly? I saw a trailer for it and I'm a huge Brad Pitt fan, but I haven't gone to see it yet.

Before Django I saw trailers for Dark Skies and Oblivion. I kind of want to see Dark Skies, but Oblivion looks really good.
