Going to sign them as a heel team and the current tag name seems only fit for a face team. I'm open to renaming them individually so they can be a "brother" or "cousin" team. I'm thinking a wild men/backwoods/evil hillbilly/Wyatt Family type vibe.

Some of my thoughts are below, but not really feeling any of them:

* The Backwoods Militia

* The Southern Justice

* The Langton (sp?) Family/Boys

Thoughts?

I'll third Good Ol' Boys as already being pretty heely.

For other ideas, how about the Bedford Forest Boys? You can even turn it into a semi-comedic thing if you want, where they think they're called that in "honor" of Nathan Bedford Forrest. But it's actually because they lived in the outskirts of Bedford Iowa.

Really, anything associated with the Confederacy is a good way to get instant Heel heat anywhere north of Carolina.

The Stonewall Gang

Dixieland Dragons

The Manassas Grapplers.

I also like Stars & Bars, but that would probably fit a 'hipper' gimmick. And Mountain Dewdes is a face Southerner stable name that I just thought of and need to use now.

Thanks !

I'd call them The Mind Grinders. I work scoring student assessment tests for Pearson and that's what I call a long day of work on a hard project. A mind grinder. Because after I'm done I'm too tired to even think.

In the wrestling sense you have a master ground pounder in O'Reilly and a guy named for a mental challenge in Riddle. So the thought is they'd be trying to wear you out to the point you can't figure out how to beat them.

I've started as my own fed in the "Art of War '98" database, and amongst the people signed are Kaz Hayashi and Yoshihiro Tajiri. I want to team them up, perhaps regularly, but I want a cool team name that plays off their heritage. First I thought of something with Ninja's, but then dropped that... But if anyone has a few suggestions, it would be appreciated :)

Heel or face for these guys? And how gimmicky is your product? One of my favorite names for a heel Japanese team is The Repunkur after the demonic force in the Kotan Utannui epic. But I also could see how Kaz and Tajiri could be deemed either too old or serious-minded for it to fit. I typically like my Repunkur pairings to be prospects given the connotation of "punk" in the Western world.

Both are heels, and my product are pop > perf, kinda WWE like, even though I'm at regional level.

Okay. So samurai pseudo-armor and nasty attitudes would fit your products. Maybe even painting them red and giving them horns if you really want to get silly with it. All of which means a more literal Repunkur translation could work in your company.

Tajiri's SMASH promotion was actually one of the two things that finally sold me on professional wrestling. So my personal choice would be the SMASH Dragons.

But, based on their movesets, the Buzzsaw Cutters (or, as a Japanese announcer might say it BUZZO-SAAW KAA-TAAAHSSSUU) might also work.

But what I'd want for a name in your shoes would involve the concept of an insurgency or of Lord James staging a coup of some kind. What is it that's bringing them together? That story nugget might inspire something that fits your story world better than the random ideas you've been given so far.
