ThunderLance Wrestling</p><p>

End of 2019 (Year 4)</p><p> </p><p>

ThunderLance Wrestling has weathered the year fairly well, all things considering. We lost some hot prospects as usual, but were able to rebuild with a mostly new crop of folks, led by Fro Sure. We're knocking on the door of Regional, albeit not gaining ground incredibly quickly. The big event of the year was when we bought out ACPW, bringing in Jamie Atherton, Ozzie Golden, Raphael, and the ACPW Jr. Heavyweight Title- all of which have done well!</p><p> </p><p>

Churchillian Neck-Nerve damage kept me out of the limelight for a solid chunk of the year, but I kept my skills sharp in undercard matches while waiting for it to heal. I'll probably become our first two-time champion once I run out of good challengers for Fro Sure. I've become quite the ring general, hitting 90 in Safety and mid to high 70's for most of Performance. My In Ring and Physical are still underwhelming, but my Entertainment is coming along nicely as well.</p><p> </p><p>

COMPANY STATS</p><p>

End of Year Rolls:</p><p>

2016: +44 Legit</p><p>

2017: Became Entertainer</p><p>

2018: +5 Safety</p><p>

2019: +5 Puroresu</p><p> </p><p>

Personal MotY:</p><p>

2016: Laura Flame d. Tom Bombadil, D- (May)</p><p>

2017: Tom Bombadil and Logan Wolfsbaine d. Avalanche Takano and Justice Jolson, D+ (November)</p><p>

2018: Tom Bombadil and Logan Wolfsbaine d. Teddy Powell and Justice Jolson, C- (June)</p><p>

2019: Tom Bombadil and Ozzie Golden d. Teddy Powell and Jamie Atherton, D+ (December)</p><p> </p><p>

Match History:</p><p>

2016: 23-8, Average E</p><p>

2017: 16-9, Average E+</p><p>

2018: 17-7, Average D</p><p>

2019: 21-3, Average D</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Goals for previous year:</p><p>

<span style="color:#FF0000;">-Install myself as Figurehead</span></p><p>

I probably COULD, and I apparently edge out Fro Sure, but I'm not charismatic enough.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF8C00;">-Improve Physical</span></p><p>

9 points of Stamina, but only 3 to the others (Resilience still 100)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#006400;">-Eliminate Production penalties altogether</span></p><p>

Done!</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF8C00;">-Maintain match and show quality without Wolfsbaine</span></p><p>

The stats above don't quite reflect it, but our shows are overall a bit better than last year. I think we have a stronger ensemble cast now- nobody is as good as Wolfsbaine, but we have plenty of folks only a notch or two below him.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF8C00;">-Develop prospects other than myself</span></p><p>

I don't feel I really developed people that well, but that's partially because I've brought in a lot of people who are already good.</p><p> </p><p>

Goals for next year:</p><p>

-Build Charsima and In Ring</p><p>

-Become figurehead and get in another good title run</p><p>

-Stay healthy</p><p>

-Hit Regional</p><p>

-Put on a C match myself and a D+ average</p>

<p>Year 5 is now in the books</p><p> </p><p>

Another year down and another great year upon us. Iowa Pro Wrestling is the number 1 company in the world, has been for about 4 months now. We've hit International size and have been there for a couple of months now (we had been at it for a couple of months before, but dropped shortly after). The IPW Network is doing great with our lowest coverage being Medium in USA and Japan. We're running 4 shows a week now (one major and one minor for each brand) as well as 2 PPVs a month (one for each brand). There's 42 companies in the world left (one new one from last year). 2 of those are our developmental companies as well, PWX which was founded by us and SHINE which we saved from being closed, and both are in the top 20 in the world now as well. </p><p> </p><p>

David Arnold has been killing it as well. He's been doing at least B+ performances in every single match now and has participated in many A rated matches. He was ranked 26 in the Power 500 and actually won the Young Wrestler of the Year award this past year. He ended up with a fair amount of simmering tensions this year though due to letting people go from written deals for backstage problems or terrible in-ring performances. However, he has a booking rep of A* and a booking skill of B+. He's doing great both as a wrestler and as a booker. He's 12-19-1 this year so far (started this playthrough in June for those confused by that) but his lowest rated match this year is a B. He also won the IPW Duos championships (tag belts) with Mark Shurman, but unfortunately only held them for 3 weeks and no defenses before dropping them again. Nevertheless, he's been a quality star in the company even with only 2 championship reigns to his name. Here are his stats: </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/nLmOXPv.png</span></p><p> </p><p>

And his popularity:</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/sRc1Wim.png</span></p><p> </p><p>

As for the Random Roll:</p><p>

Year 1: +5 Mat Skill</p><p>

Year 2: +5 Safety</p><p>

Year 3: Dating Kairi Hojo</p><p>

Year 4: +10 Menace, became MMA fighter</p><p>

Year 5: ....</p><p> </p><p>

38. “I’ve Got A Coat That Makes Me Hug Myself…” or “Train, Fight, Hurt People, Repeat” You can choose to add 20 points to your Crazy Performance rating OR Legit Performance rating OR use a random number generator to score between 0 and 50, adding the number to either rating.</p><p> </p><p>

Wow. Another decent roll. I deciced to use the random number generator and ended up with 42! Just having lots of luck I suppose. Means my Crazy and Legit went from 25 to 67. May have to change my gimmick away from a Wholesome one now. </p><p> </p><p>

Here's to either Year 6 or finally achieving that A* main event PPV match.</p>

<p>I must be doing something wrong, based on what I see from people posting here</p><p> </p><p>

The facts</p><p>

Database: Cverse 97</p><p>

Current date: May 2011 (over 14 years of in-game time)</p><p>

User character: 32 years old, Midcarder to Upper Midcarder</p><p> </p><p>

I've stuck with the original company I started with, instead of jumping to a larger promotion. Hit Small size by January 2002, Regional by the end of 2004 and can't seem to make it to Cult size ever since. Now I know that being based in SE Europe with 79% importance isn't making it easy, but I'm putting up monthly shows, televised across Europe since April 2009, and even started a weekly TV show on the same broadcaster since October 2010. Despite consistently good grades, popularity is climbing excruciatingly slow, much slower than I'd expect with 5 shows per month. Any thoughts or tips?</p>

<p>And that's the ballgame boys and girls!</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/8BRfQwu.png</span></p><p> </p><p>

That's right. It took almost 5 and a half years, hundreds of shows, a rise to Global status in the world and a near-perfect show (all matches were A's except for one B+. However, it has happened! A* main event match on a PPV! And retaining the title against Aaron Stevens, who was David's recent rival, was just the icing on the cake! </p><p> </p><p>

I'll probably continue going with this to see what kind of career David ends up with, but I may start this again and add even more restrictions on myself like the ability to only hire unemployed people alone instead of being able to steal them away from other companies during offer battles or some other kind of restriction. Nevertheless, I'm not sure it'll be added to the first page of this since it doesn't seem to have been updated in a long time, but I'm excited for it nonetheless!</p><p> </p><p>

Best of luck to anyone else still doing this, I'll pop in from time to time to keep an eye on it or to possibly even start another one in a little while. For now though, it's on to a bit more of a fantasy booking kind of save now.</p>

It'll probably be mid 2003 until I can hit national and complete this challenge. That might be a long time IRL because i'm booking fourteen shows a month - I may have to cut that down. </p><p> </p><p>

My current strategy is to earn as much money as possible so I can open my own broadcaster with world wide coverage. I'm making around $1.9m a month at the moment so I should be able to open a broadcaster by the end of 2002.</p><p> </p><p>

It was definitely a lot of fun, something I'm definitely glad I took the time to do. I'm honestly kinda surprised I did it as quickly as I did as well, but I got lucky I guess. Then again, it helped that I ended up with a relaxed owner as well who's owner goals were only like "Don't hire a Psychopath" and "Don't hire an MMA crossover". Pretty easy to avoid those. </p><p> </p><p> I've already decided I'll be doing a second challenge in the near future and limiting myself even more this time around. I'll figure out the right time to start that though, about to actually start a different TEW playthrough where I'll be recording/streaming a 0/0/0/1000 promotion. Basically it'll be this only without the RTG wrestler part and with more restrictions on my end. May end up using the random roll though, that could be interesting. </p><p> </p><p> Anywho, I'll definitely keep an eye on this and cheer on everyone else still going!</p>

  • 5 weeks later...

<p>A long way from A*, but...</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://tew2016.com/images/images/regional.jpg</span><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

* Regional! With thanks to Apupunchau Consulting, WPL went all-in mid year and started running 5 shows a month, culminating in profits rapidly rising. After months of 3 or low 4 figure profits, we gambled with 70k in the bank, and inside 4 months we were more or less breaking even, with attendances rising from 367 at our last monthly-only show to 1,200 in the December show that pushed us over. That rate of growth was enough to push us over the brink and up to a Regional fed, one of 8 in the US alongside NYCW, AAA, QAW, PSW, FCW, CZCW and RIPW. The next steps are to rebuild our money reserves, as we’re in the red by at least 2 steps on each production point, and even assuming we can keep the good shows going, we’re going to get hit by all 7 of them on something, at least.</p><p> </p><p>

It’d cost us an additional $30,000 a month to improve just one step in each of the 4 settings. I think we could afford that, oddly – we made a 25k profit in December, even with Regional (and 1,800 attendances) only coming after the 3rd show of the month. Still, we’d end up still behind several companies in each category, as many of them are 2 or even 3 steps above us.</p><p> </p><p>

For December we came top in the Mid South (from 3) and 2nd in the South West (from 6). That may be a sign we can do this without spending too much just yet... But we’ll have to see.</p><p> </p><p>

* WPL’s improvements didn’t go unnoticed – a Year End Award for Most Improved Company of the Year was a welcome addition to the trophy cabinet. Other awards included an SWF triple for Rocky Golden WOTY and Tommy Cornell VWOTY (A average/A* high for both) as well as show of the year (Christmas Clash, A*) and Company/MOTY (Remo def. El Leon by DQ) for SOTBPW.</p><p> </p><p>

* It was an eventful year for WPL even without all that, as we got talent raided for youngsters Shooting Star Perez and Tyler Dugal – a shame, as both men were promising bricks in the midcard wall. But then, talent like that is always going to attract attention. In their case, it was RIPW/SWF. Perez got picked up just 10 matches into his career, and only 7 after signing with us. Dugal actually debuted for WPL and had just 9 matches with us before RIPW pounced – but then, he’s John Anderson’s regen... In both cases, we expect big things.</p><p> </p><p>

* In less cheerful news, both Ashley Grover and Claire Winters were released by WPL over substance issues. Grover continues to have issues with alcoholism, which brought her second run with us to an abrupt halt after showing up drunk to 2 shows in short order. Williams, sadly, developed an addiction to painkillers that severely impacted her ringwork after breaking her collarbone. To compound the issue, she fell pregnant with American Elemental II’s child while AmEl2 had his second WPL title reign – a title she’d dropped to me in her last show with us. It’s all a bit messy, and hopefully we can bring her back once she’s back from maternity leave.</p><p> </p><p>

* To counter all the talent lost, we cast our net far and wide... and brought in those total unknowns Danielle Sweetheart, Remmy Honeyman, Fro Sure, Bradley Blaze and Lauren Easter. WPL have come a long way from Joanna Silver being our ‘big’ name...</p><p> </p><p>

* Lauren Easter! She’s so much better than everyone else on the roster it’s hard to justify not putting the belt right on her, but she’s not quite ready for that, being way more over in Canada than the States (and certainly the Mid South). Why NOTBPW let her go, I don’t know – but we’re grateful that they did. Expect her to reign soon.</p><p> </p><p>

* That is, if the Stone dynasty doesn’t get there first. In 2020 we got David, but in 2021 we got Lucy. 18 years old, already one of the best wrestlers around, and works for $700 a show. If we get beyond Regional, it’ll be on her back... And as I’ve just realised that NOTBPW were shut down in 2018 after being bought out by the SWF, it may just happen!</p><p> </p><p>

* Either of them could soon hold gold of a sort, though, as we’ve introduce a floating All Action title to be put up on every show. Catalina Vasquez (who’s never quite broken out of the upper midcard for us) is the first champion, claiming it in a 4 way ladder match over Easter, McFly and Ariel Breaks. She should be a good champion, I think.</p><p> </p><p>

* Winters leaving means we’re down to just 2 of the WPL Original crew – myself and Seth Whitehead, who’s grown with the company, if not quite as fast as we’d have liked.</p><p> </p><p>

* A note on some of the game world changes since 2016: NOTBPW went under in November ’18. They closely followed GCG, who folded in September of the same year when BHOTWG bought them out. ACPW went under in November ’17 (no-one cared enough to buy them out). CWWF didn’t quite last 2 years after opening in August 2016 and closing in May 2018. DIW shut down in 2021, having earned 7 years’ grace after Why We Fight. FWGP opened in 2017 and closed in 2021, while GSW shut in 2019. MHW managed about 18 months after opening in early 2017, but were gone by Christmas the following year. MAW – sob – shut down in 2018, while WINNOW opened in 2018 and closed in 2020. All in all, I think we’re doing well to have made 6 years.</p><p> </p><p>

* Oh, and TCW made Donte Dunn their World champion at a time when SWF were pulling in A* matches practically every month. It helps to have Tommy Cornell, Rocky Golden, Antonio Maxi Marquez and the matured Amazing Bumfholes available. TCW are now a Cult company, while SWF seem happy at National as they’re only maintaining popularity in Canada and Mexico.</p><p> </p><p>

* Skill-wise, my character now looks like this:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://tew2016.com/images/images/jcskills2022.jpg</span><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The top row stats are gradually creeping up, with a few (besides Brawling) creeping into the D range now. The biggest gain was 9 points to Chain Wrestling, and 4-8 elsewhere. Only 1 point for Brawling, but enough to move me up to a B.</p><p> </p><p>

Those Performance skills are tidy (+8 Consistency, +7 Basics), but Stamina hasn’t budged all year. I’ll have to start working Iron Man matches.</p><p> </p><p>

10 minute promos on every card saw my mic skills go up 11-12 points a piece, but my Star Quality has dropped by 1 point. I guess I’ve peaked at 24?</p><p> </p><p>

* My roll this year is... 49. Where There’s A Will. +5 Prestige, or a handy $50 odd thousand in the bank that would nearly double our balance at the start of 2022? I’m tempted to flip a coin, but as we’re already 4th from 8 in terms of Prestige among Regional American companies I’m going to take the dough. Handy!</p><p> </p><p>

* Power 500: Danielle Sweetheart at 365, me at 393, AmEl2 at 406, David Stone at 421, Lucy Stone-McFly at 433, Fro Sure at 438, Lauren Easter at 449, Ariel Breaks at 462, Austin Smooth at 468, Catalina Vasquez at 488, Nancy Massive at 494 and Millie The Minx at 497.</p>

She should be a good champion, I think.</p><p> </p><p> * Winters leaving means we’re down to just 2 of the WPL Original crew – myself and Seth Whitehead, who’s grown with the company, if not quite as fast as we’d have liked.</p><p> </p><p> * A note on some of the game world changes since 2016: NOTBPW went under in November ’18. All in all, I think we’re doing well to have made 6 years.</p><p> </p><p> * Oh, and TCW made Donte Dunn their World champion at a time when SWF were pulling in A* matches practically every month. It helps to have Tommy Cornell, Rocky Golden, Antonio Maxi Marquez and the matured Amazing Bumfholes available. TCW are now a Cult company, while SWF seem happy at National as they’re only maintaining popularity in Canada and Mexico.</p><p> </p><p> * Skill-wise, my character now looks like this:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://tew2016.com/images/images/jcskills2022.jpg</span><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The top row stats are gradually creeping up, with a few (besides Brawling) creeping into the D range now. The biggest gain was 9 points to Chain Wrestling, and 4-8 elsewhere. Only 1 point for Brawling, but enough to move me up to a B.</p><p> </p><p> Those Performance skills are tidy (+8 Consistency, +7 Basics), but Stamina hasn’t budged all year. I’ll have to start working Iron Man matches.</p><p> </p><p> 10 minute promos on every card saw my mic skills go up 11-12 points a piece, but my Star Quality has dropped by 1 point. I guess I’ve peaked at 24?</p><p> </p><p> * My roll this year is... Handy!</p><p> </p><p> * Power 500: Danielle Sweetheart at 365, me at 393, AmEl2 at 406, David Stone at 421, Lucy Stone-McFly at 433, Fro Sure at 438, Lauren Easter at 449, Ariel Breaks at 462, Austin Smooth at 468, Catalina Vasquez at 488, Nancy Massive at 494 and Millie The Minx at 497.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Awesome job! Keep it on!</p>

Trying out a RTG for the first time in a long time. Got two years into it before. My RTG character is "Hi-5" Louis Robinson. RNG'd name, self-titled nickname. Here's how we look after year one:

KnBfsTv.png

First roll was #28, so we got +5 on basics. Getting steady increases in both Performance and Entertainment skills, but slow moving on Physical and In-Ring Skills. Hopefully those will start cranking up when I get to put on more shows.

I'm still running my local fed, and finally starting to turn profits. Attendence is now in the 50s, and keeps going up. We're still in the red, but only $2500.

If you access the editor from the main landing screen (so before new game or loading or anything like that), you can access the database you're using.

If you then go to 'workers' on the editor, you can freely add new workers, which will allow you to build your RTG character from scratch. You can pick them as a user character in the drop downs at this point too so that they don't show up in your non-RTG games if you don't want them to.

I tend to have a calculator program up at 750 and then deduct points every time I give the worker a stat, but that might not work for everyone.

<p>First attempt at this. I went super simple with "pick 10 skills and bump them to 75" method. Playing the default data.</p><p> </p><p>

After 1 year:</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="lma4dMw.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lma4dMw.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

<img alt="BYKQ0h7.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BYKQ0h7.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Year 1</strong></p><p>

-Rolled a 34. “Healing Hands” Over the holiday season you book yourself in for several massages and physio appointments. +7.5 to all Physical Condition.</p><p>

-Found chemistry with Christopher Ball.</p><p>

-Making profits in the first year, but it works because there's only 6 workers who all make under $200.</p><p>

-Grace Harper is our owner/color commentator. I actually decided to leave it unowned to start and let fate decide who would buy the company.</p><p>

-Company is using the "Old School Rasslin'" preset.</p><p>

-Anytime a new worker is available who is cheaper than someone on the roster, I fire the more expensive worker.</p>

Either I ride it out with my current company or start a new one to compete on a bigger stage. Any thoughts? How soon do y'all start a new company?</p><p> </p><p> Also, Bret Hart got caught for prostitute use. He's toxic now, but he could be the face of a company on a Cult-level.</p>

<p>WPL, January 1 2023</p><p> </p><p>

* Rich! Having been running at a 5 figure monthly loss thanks to our 5 shows a month schedule into late 2022, 2023 saw us bringing in the money money, yeah yeah! By the end of the year, we were banking 150k+ a month and have just broken the cool $1,000,000 for the first time, even though we raised our various production levels up to the point where we were at least level with every sub-Cult fed out there – well ahead, in many cases. We also added Mitch Naess to the commentary team, benefitting from Alex Braun being our owner and colour guy. With Craig Prince also joining as our road agent, we have a out-of-ring setup that’s on a par with practically anyone in the business.</p><p> </p><p>

In 2023 we’re likely to push ahead and try and steal a march on our rivals. We scored our first A-grade match at our season finale show in December, and only IPW otherwise have managed that among the sub-Cult feds. Heck, take IPW (3 A, 6 B+) out of the running and there are only 7 B+ matches spread across the active sub-Cult American feds. WPL have 3 of those.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://tew2016.com/images/images/jcfirstAmatch.jpg</span><p>

<em>So close...</em></p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

WPL, meanwhile, are the #4 company in the US behind the obvious top 3. We’ll spend a long time catching up to TCW, but in truth our shows are every bit as good as theirs are right now.</p><p> </p><p>

* Running 5 shows a month mean plenty of recycled matches, of course, but with a roster of 32(!) split 50:50 between the pushed and unpushed, we rarely ran into booking penalties. James Casey vs. Danielle Sweetheart ran 4 times in the second half of the year, but the last one capped our first B+ show, so it’s all good.</p><p> </p><p>

* My user character was the unequivocal MVP of WPL this year. Beginning a third WPL title reign in September, he began to deliver A-grade performances in matches, plus A-grade angles, capped with the aforementioned A-grade match. With some extra work the A* seems reasonably in reach. Best guess, it’ll come against one of the Stone cousins or Danielle Sweetheart.</p><p> </p><p>

* A year ago, American Elemental 2 would have been my guess for the A* opponent, but young AmEl seems disgruntled in WPL of late. We brought back Claire Winters from her painkiller addiction-inspired firing, which cheered him up briefly (they’re dating and have a kid together) but by year end he wasn’t firing on all cylinders. Perhaps spending some time out of the limelight bothered him – he was WPL champion for 19 out of the 29 months to May 2022, but results were more mixed for him afterwards. He even got pulled up into Wrestlers’ Court for being a dick at one point.</p><p> </p><p>

* As for his honey, sadly firing her didn’t cure her addiction, nor did the fine she got when tested 6 weeks after returning (I meant to test her before completing on her contract, but I forgot). Instead she sits on the roster, nominally a main eventer but really a gatekeeper to that hallowed turf. Had I not planned out a storyline involving AmEl2 turning and them hooking up on-screen as well as off, forming a faction of heels to get a white-hot push and carrying us onwards and upwards, well, I’d have probably canned her. Again. As it is, she’s a ticking timebomb, and I’m hoping one of the rolls will allow me to tick the reformed box for her...</p><p> </p><p>

* In December 2022 we debuted the All Action title with a view to having dramatic matches held using ladders, overhead wires and the like. While WPL is – I should have known this – either too poor or too straight-laced to go in for shenanigan-based matches, we can still break out the odd ladder and the AA belt makes for a good High Spots/Steal The Show match, which happens to be one of our product requirements. Since being first claimed by Catalina Vazquez (7 defences), it’s gone to Lauren Easter (4), Lucy Stone-McFly (12), Texas Hangman (4), Kid Fantastic (4), Nancy Massive (7), Seth Whitehead and now onto regen Clyde Cope. By and large the AA belt is contested in matches without set winners, so apparently whoever can shoot better than walks away with the strap each night.</p><p> </p><p>

* In December 2023 we decided to debut a tag title, especially as our weekly show quickly started to feature 2, 3 or even all 4 matches as tag bouts. A field of 2 regular tag teams (Needham & Liotta and regen pair Greenhead & Redhead) + 2 pairs of singles with chemistry (Remmy Honeyman/Seth Whitehead and Ariel Breaks/Charity Sweet) was padded out with 4 pairs of singles without key storyline roles (Josh Jones/Reilly Patton, Kid Fantastic/Catalina Vazquez, Jack Bruce regen/Deuce Deadline and regens of Nathan Coleman/April Appleseed), and we were off to the races. The 8 team tournament ran through November and early December and was capped with the final taking place at our December, season finale, event, where Ariel Breaks and Charity Sweet were crowned the inaugural champions. The tag title match will likely kick off most shows, as it’s a great way of getting the fans’ blood pumping.</p><p> </p><p>

* What to do about the product problem? WPL have two midcard workers on board, Kid Fantastic and Natalie Danzig, who consistently out-perform their higher-pushed peers. Fantastic is a spot monkey, Danzig a cruiserweight, and neither is really best-suited to WPL (Key feature: Traditional) but they deserve better. Tag and All Action reigns for them both, I suspect...</p><p> </p><p>

* Don’t ever hire Catalina Vazquez, by the way. Lovely girl, a friend to everyone in the locker room and never causes trouble, but the girl is cursed – no less than 5 potential teams were scuppered by bad chemistry between her and her partners, and she has poor chemistry with Seth Whitehead as her opponent, too. Only 3 others have more than 1 instance of poor chemistry, and Bradley Blaze and AmEl2 are both on Vazquez’ list. I feel sorry for Austin Smooth, too – awful chemistry when facing my user character largely closes the main event to him in WPL, cost him a lot of momentum won after breaking into the ‘pushed’ group when he turned on me, and just to cap everything off he also tore his rotator cuff this year and so has missed 9 months of action.</p><p> </p><p>

In the year-end awards, Blood Raven (A average/A* high) was WOTY, one of the SWF’s myriad A* matches won MOTY (Rocky Golden def. High Flyin’ Hawaiian of all matches; They had 11 to choose from in 2022), Lucy Stone-McFly won YWOTY in WPL’s first individual award and Tommy Cornell got VWOTY again. WLW won Most Improved, which is sadly hard to argue when they’re scoring A-grade cards a few times a month.</p><p> </p><p>

* Skills-wise, my character had a tremendous year:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><span>http://tew2016.com/images/images/jcskills2023.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Top row stats were all about rounding out, and gaining some 60-odd points across the board was tremendous. At 25, my character has a shout at being a world-class all-rounder in a few years – depending on destiny rolls.</p><p> </p><p>

But look at those performance stats. This is where I went big on my initial points spend, wanting a character with as high psychology and basics as I could get, and it’s paid off awesomely as I doubt there’s more than a handful of characters in the game with as good fundamentals as me. A quick search suggests that, for workers under 30, there’s only myself and Ernest Youngman who’re comparable – and he’s 4 years older, albeit with an A for Selling. Provided I can avoid bad annual rolls, I could genuinely be in with a shot at the #1 spot in an upcoming Power 500. Maybe not in the 2020s, but by my mid-30s... Well, who knows?</p><p> </p><p>

* My roll this year is... 17. “Nose To The Grindstone”, I can add 5 points to any top row stat. Looking at my skills, Aerial is the key one that’s lagging, so let’s bump that to 47.</p><p> </p><p>

Last year I had to choose between 50k in cash or 5 points in Prestige. At first I was going to take the money, but seeing the company comfortably in the black even with our production values increasing monthly, I went for the prestige instead. In hindsight, that was probably a good move – just in case Winters’ issues go public.</p><p> </p><p>

* Power 500: James Casey (203), Danielle Sweetheart (229), AmEl2 (270), Lucy Stone-McFly (280), David Stone (331), Claire Winters (385), Clyde Cope (392) and Kid Fantastic (395). We had another 15 in the 4-500, but I don’t have all night. For notable ex-WPL talent, Lauren Easter (ditched us for USPW when I was about to strap a rocket to her) came in at 325 and Fro Sure (ditto, but for CGC) came in at 343.</p>

Aaaaand just for fun, here's Brad's first gimmick for this 'Horror Icon Dream Match' fed:

(Note: Old School Face is not his gimmick, I reskinned Badass (Cool) from Mammoth's gimmick mod to make a 'Bounty Hunter' gimmick)

Wish me luck, boys and girls
