What's going on in YOUR game?

Just had to laugh at a crazy thing that i've never seen before. Both fighters for a fight (Manoel Cabral vs. Coltrane Aaronson, should be good), got minor injuries (Minor Concussion for Cabral, Stinger for Aaronson) during training but they're still clear to fight. Never had that happen to both guys in the same fight.

Not the biggest injury shenanigans I've seen. That was last week or so. GAMMA run. Original fight was Nathan Chambers vs. Jack Humphreys. Humphreys shatters his knee, out for a year. So I get Rufus Stephens to fill in for Humphreys. Stephens ALSO shatters his knee and is out for a year.

So I just have this image of Chambers going Tonya Harding on the GAMMA Welterweight division and I'm laughing just remembering this nonsense.

New Start

just now found this forum so hoping for some activity. I have downloaded the up to date Real World and added Alpha-1 Fighting Championships to the Japanese Market with the lowest possible reputation. Started myself with $1M as i decided to choose a Billionaire as my owner, thought $1M was suitable to get myself off the ground without being TOO greedy. Lowest possible reputation etc so yeah, ive never played this game before although i did abuse the old wrestling game before TEW, was it EWR? think so. Anyway, here is the short story i added as per the Company screen

Takao Yasuda founded Don Quijote Holdings in 1980 and has since topped Forbes richest Japanese list coming in at #22 in 2018. After stepping down as CEO and Chairman in 2015 he continued as an advisor to the company. Since then his time and fortune has continued to grow along with his heavy interst in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. Takao founded Alpha-1 Fighting Championships (A1) early 2018 and almost a year later A1 looks to host its first show. The bank balance is considerably small considering his personal fortune, but with an initial pot of $1Million A1 should be able to atleast end 2019 with its feet under the table on the Japanese market.

im hoping to run my first few events as tournaments so to speak, probably Heavy, Middle and Welter divisions to begin. See a tournament stretch over 2 or 3 events with the first champions being all crowned on one night. Lets see how it goes.

Finally got a decent save up, feel I'm too late to the party though as the boards are quiet for wmma5.

Anyway, starting at rizin 14. Mayweather cancelled so we decided that this would be our last 'supershow' and will focus next year on building a promotion like ufc. Actual divisions. Exclusive fighters and belts etc. Signed a couple big names and added some fights to rizin 14 and 15 which will be within a day of each other.

Started to diary it all as part of the dynasty forums if anyone is interested.

Gearing up for GAMMA 115 in my latest play-through. In IRL fashion we are having our first superfight between Lars Gunnar-Ekberg our dominant HW Champion defending his title against the seemingly unstoppable LHW champ Valentin Taneyev, they've both cleared there divisions so makes sense.

The co-main event sees our only ever Featherweight champ Lamont Banner who's on a 12 fight win streak and fresh off a hiatus fight the one contender left in his division Fernando Paragon.

The undercard features some of our rising talents such as the game-generated Tom "The Avalanche'' Sylvia a 7-0 (5-0) 22 year old superstar who's tearing up the featherweight division with his dominant and flamboyant striking style. He's already at low level international fame and putting him on this card shoot boost him up, he's a big piece of my companies expansion into the Bantamweight divison as he is a natural bantamweight.

exciting times in my game.

Well I learned a valuable lesson. In my GAMMA game I am currently in February 2011, the previous year I booked six shows (Two television shows and four PPV) in October and November. That was a huge mistake, as now I have a razor thin margin of error when booking my current year's cards. That is because most of the people who fought in October and November during the previous year and not able to fight yet.

It sucks because I try to get everyone on my roster at least one fight per year (if not more). This time around it has come back to bite me in the ass big time.

If you can come up with a formula which I can get them all more fights, I would be all ears.

Yeah it's a pain. I start my games with the ambition of letting the fighters fight more than the UFC lets them. But every damn time on realistic settings - so training injuries on "high" minimum - I fail to complete my goal and end up almost exactly like the UFC. The problem is that letting them fight "anyone" with the chance of recovery times being 4 months is just dangerous. Upsets will hurt you as a company so "ladder booking" really is the best way to do it, unless you want a PRIDE "showcase" way of booking, where you select a couple of marketable fighters and feed them lesser fighters that you build up using cans.

As for numbers of shows: I don't like using throwaway shows as it kinda screws up your "main event rankings". Imo it's better to use more prelims. You get less pop boost obviously, but at least your events mean something.

Just started a GAMMA dynasty, Spencer Rubenstein regained the LHW title...I'm currently kicking around an idea of doing a Dean/Rubenstein title-for-title match since there are no ready contenders...Is it possible to do in this game, and if so, is it just a matter of picking the weight class, and putting both belts in the slots on the top of the screen?

my only issue in game so far is new ideas! ive started again 3 times in the last few weeks just due to playing with an idea. getting a new idea but it not being able to work within current game. im FINALLY at a point where I know how to play now so im looking at setting that up now. Rizin again. (new user account as had issues with old email address etc). would love to know how to delete a thread ive made or at minimum my old account. off topic, sorry.

Started a new BCF game a short while ago, up to 2005 already. Picked up Seth O'Breen after GAMMA cut him. Figured I'd give him one fight before a title shot, as Tim Oldacres was already booked against Gregory O'Hara.

Ron Chuckle choked him out inside one round.

This game never gets old with things like this happening. Oldacres vs Chuckle up next, when I expected O'Breen vs O'Hara.

I'm in June 2017 with ALPHA-1 and it's interesting how regens gradually begin to fill in for the established guys. 6/10 champions are regens - only Antonio Rimando at heavyweight, Nakasawa at light heavyweight, Toshiaki Ukiyo (monster, 28-2 in-game, currently on 10 consecutive defenses with 13 total, only losses are to da Silva Ramos and he's up 3-2 against him) at middleweight and KT McNamara at Women's Bantam are left.

It's been a year since I introduced the Super Welterweight division to my GAMMA playthrough (I moved welterweight to 165lbs and Super welterweight was introduced at 175lbs) I actually moved the 170lbs title to be the 175lbs as it worked out better for the champ Diego Arteta and we are coming up to the inaugural 165lbs title match between Manuel Silva and Bobby Brubaker. Exciting times.

I'm 8 event's in on my global verse save. Sean Morrison won the first 2 tournaments. The first after James Foster broke his wrist in the semi final and had to forfeit.

Foster has since won the tournament as has Matthew dean and Jeff Carlton. Only for foster to decide he is going to the Olympics instead of a rematch with Morrison.

Zaco then won the next tournament. A 4 man tournament to find out the best then progressed only for Dean to pull out of his fight with Morrison due to a year long injury. Morrison having no luck with final fights.

Sigma opened and look to be doing ok. About it so far. Some real poor showings from some of my fighters.
