The streak...is over. At 21-1, aptly enough.

After bringing in the best Super Heavyweight fighters in the world, only for Sigauskas to hold them against the cage for five rounds, I finally put him against someone 140 pounds heavier so he couldn't do that.

Of course, now I need to get the belt off Novak, since he'll be just as dull.

You can shape it into a reality show to compensate for the lack of pop. I always do that for the FW division, which ends up being Ziskie vs that long-haired Japanese dude. That way you get a stacked tournament where the winner gets a huge momentum boost and gets the first title shot. It's way cooler than random tournaments using nobodies where the only thing you can do is award them 100K or something, as a title shot is nowhere near. The reason I wouldn't suggest a tournament is because you want to establish the division ASAP to start boosting the title, and a tournament (unless it's a one-day tourney) will drag it out long.

Rives also was a top3 female star in my recent save, but she did get beat sometimes. At the moment, there's no one really undefeated in my gameworld. It's all xx-1.

If you introduce a new title, how do you find the first champ? Do you always run a tournament, or do you just put #1 ranked against #2 ranked?

I've experimented with this in my ALPHA-1 game (currently in 2023). If there's established fighters in the division but no clear #1 and #2 I'll usually mix the top ranked poached fighters in with homegrown ones moving to the weight class and do an 8 man grand prix over a year or so.

If it's an entirely unestablished division (I opened up women's flyweight, and populated the world with a lot of regens) I have two one night tournaments on television to determine the two title contenders. In the meantime I'll book a bunch of other flyweight fights to get someone to at least two wins in the meantime, who can challenge for the belt afterwards.

Populating the world with tons of regens is really fun and keeps the divisions very fresh but I have at least a minute's full loading between days now, sometimes a lot more if there's at lot of AI shows that day. There's only a handful of pre-gens left, and the only one of consequence is Ukiyo, who is easily the greatest of all time in my game with an almost decade long title reign and something like 15 successful defenses. I think his record in-game is something like 35-5 (two losses to da Silva Ramos in a tetralogy he won 3-2, loss to the light heavyweight champion, and two losses to the middleweight who took his belt). He lost his title but he still beats everyone who's not the champion. Legend.

Because I think I'd like to do it. Does the search automatically find you workers that fit or are those just default, and you've got to research workers a bit more to make sure they'll fit your weight class?

I’m 3 years into a default GAMMA save and it’s been a ride. I’ve raided ALPHA-1 of basically any notable talent. By the end of 2005 I will run GAMMA 100. Foster retired after he lost a nuclear hype match with Gladstone Lopes. Rav Kapur has cemented himself as the best heavyweight with the belt. Affonso Villar is injured for the year but he holds the light heavyweight belt. Mike Watson lost it to Marlon John but worked his way back to the interim bout defeating Matthew Dean. Oh, Matthew Dean has been dominant in the middleweight division only losing to Darling which he immediately won back. Brubacker has shocked the world and held on the welterweight belt beating Rugerio, and is set to face da Guia. Lermontov was a dominant lightweight champion until he got crushed by O’Breen. Obreen isn’t a respected champion yet for some reason but will be defending against Sukarno. And Lamont Banner has been tearing up featherweight, and is going to defend against Jokichi. Kel Ryan was dominant as a super heavyweight until Renato to put an end to that. On my phone but will post more in depth history when I get to my computer

Just started a new save, as my own company. Starting from scratch as low-level regional. This is gonna be hard... GAMMA and Alpha-1 are gonna come for all my talent after a few shows.

I basically make my titles called "Heavyweight King of the Indies" and when they stop poaching me I retire the titles and create my official ones.

I'm currently in 2022 of my XCC run with an added Women's flyweight and a Welterweight division.

Ollie Rockmetteller was my breakout star, completely owning the Bantamweight division and making 27 straight title defenses from 2002 to 2016. He lost two straight to Martin Backlund (who is in his second reign with 10 total defenses) and then retired. A great fighter and the first inductee to the XCC Hall of Fame and he even made the MMA Hall of Fame.

My big regret is that I didn't capitalize on my second biggest star, Lightweight Shusui Ikoma, and didn't run enough shows in Japan. The dude was a prennial champion making over 15 total defenses over 4 reigns including his final reign which spanned 5 years and 12 defenses and always avenged his losses. He's dropped his last 4 matches though and I think it's time for him to retire.

My Welterweight division is definitely weak and we just had our first champion to make a single title defense and he barely scratched it out.

I'm having fun with the regens and we restarted our reality show, Next XCC Titan. My big problem is that it takes like 5 minutes to sim in between shows.

That could work. However, I always wait to create titles until I can sign exclusive deals (Which is when they stop raiding me). My last save was literally littered with "Stripped of title do to leaving the company". It's so annoying.

Same. That's why I do a King of Indies title so I can still track those who came out of my system but it doesn't really mess up my history.

I have a theory to try and keep sim times low as long as humanly possible.

So my game is in 2022 and simming between shows is getting to be too much for me. I'm going through the other companies and noticing that OMEGA and TOP end up causing a lot of new fighters to be generated and when you get far enough, those fighters become regens just adding to the fighter count for companys I don't care about.

Further KDMFC, XCC, BCF and WEFF tend to all hit International level.

In my opinion KDM FC should never hit above Low Level National since it also struck me as a no frills, street fight type company.

XCC and WEFF should never be above mid level national since they're niche.

BCF should never be above High level national.

Sigma should be the only company allowed to challenge ALPHA-1 and GAMMA.

I'm going to set those settings. I'm also going to disable New Companies, new teams and Generated Fighters. If I need either, I'll populate them myself on a case by case basis. Organic biographies and local naming will be disabled as I heard that those take up memory and can slow the game.

My only concern about this is Mexico. Mexico tends to have a ton of fighters who now wont probably be doing anything. I'm going to try this out and see what happens. If a company dies, I'll just repopulate the region with a new company. I might also swoop in to bail out companies. We'll see how this experiment goes.

Edit: I also considered eliminating all super heavyweights, but I'll hold off on that for now.

Mexicans (as well as Canadians) can fight for low level US promotions without moving and others will actively move to US if theres promotions present. So it's mostly a good thing.

I do think SonsofKohral's plan is great, as that's what i do too. You might want to put financial penalty on max though, so some companies will fall. I've never had WEFF or XCC become that big. You can also restrict company sizes, if you didnt know already.

I Haven't played this game in quite awhile but, got into it again last night playing the Dawn of MMA mod. I am a week out from UFC 12 which was to be headlined by Champion Don Frye taking on Tank Abbott and Tank gets caught on tape at an Underground Dog Fight lol now he is poison for the next 2 and half years.

I have no clue what to do now it's too late to book a replacement have to say a part of me wants to say screw it a keep Tank in Hell it's the early days of MMA right.
