This doesn't relate to the new search feature, but I didn't think it needed a separate thread: What will be the theme music for TEW 2020? Enjoyed Take The Bow in TEW 2016. However, based on how WMMA 5 has no theme music, will there just be no theme music in TEW 2020?

<p>Japanese AI and Tournaments</p><p> </p><p>

Hello,</p><p>

most of my games emphasised on Puroresu and I would like to throw in my 5 cents after reading the planned AI changes.</p><p> </p><p>

I feel the changes will improve the booking style of Japanese AIs while the old system could have done already its job with only a few tweaks.</p><p>

But I always noticed that the AI would book 1v1 matchups despite me putting 0% on 1v1 matchups.</p><p> </p><p>

Most Japanese promotions focus on multitags and save their 1v1 matchups for big shows. It was always a bit annoying when the rival puro companies would book their aces several times per year against each other while those matches should only appear in big shows and tournaments. (Or squashing some young lions in the bottom of the card)</p><p> </p><p>

And this leads me to the one thing I would hope Adam takes care of for 2020.</p><p>

<strong>Tournaments. </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong></p><p>

Of course it was and will be possible to create your own Excel tables to book your own G1 climax. But it would be very helpful if the game already offers support for round robin (and also elimination) tournaments (including updated rankings etc). And it would be fantastic if the Japanese AI promotions would also make use of the concept of round robin tournaments for their own shows.</p><p> </p><p>

This inclusion alone would help the AI to leave their current soulless booking style which lacks any logic and consequences and enable AI companies to build up their own ingame history.</p>

<p>As someone who just spent I don't know how many months releasing a 2018 version of the C-verse these changes both please and annoy me...creating the mod would have been so much easier if I'd known TEW2020 was about to be announced lol</p><p> </p><p>

With the aging/de-aging how generic will it be, will it be a case of two identical workers of 44 losing say 2 points on everything, or will it be a bit random so not all characters develope or decline at the same rate?</p><p> </p><p>

Will being employed have a differences? Or Will an unemployed 22yo develope the same as a 22yo who is working on tv every week?</p>

Think that's probably the most exciting update so far. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>Adam, do you have an update on progress? When the journal started 6 months ago you said the original planned release date was Summer 2020 but progress had been good and you were possibly looking at Christmas 2019.</p><p> </p><p>

6 months down the line do you have an anticipated release date update?</p>

These past few additions have been really good for people who are immersed in the historical aspect of TEW. I can imagine having a blank database and using the quick fill to add in generated workers and just shaping out an entire universe.

So if a rookie in a ‘99 database has Excellent potential, will an auto-aged database to 2009 have improved him more versus someone set to Very Low potential?</p><p> </p><p> Can it bring a retired wrestler back to their prime? And if so does that require them to have some residual talent so the game can figure out their appropriate attributes and strengths?</p>

The 'Contracts' part of the database makes things a lot easier for those of us who like to go through a roster and make changes before starting a game. Beforehand you'd have to alter things, start a game and realize there were errors preventing the game from starting because you set someone to have a written deal while they had PPA deals elsewhere and you didn't realize it. Or deleted a contract but they still had a manager set. Random things that would prevent you from starting because you didn't go to the multiple screens before you started.

Love the new "luchas de apuestas" feature.

Fingers crossed that we'll also get a feature that'll tell us at the outset of feud whether someone might be willing to drop their mask. Nothing worse than building up a feud to a "lucha de apuesta" and finding out the guy isn't likely to drop his mask. The way it is now, it is really hard to plan a feud that culminates in a lucha de apuesta.

If they're liberal, they'll be willing to lose their hair/mask, but they won't want to lose it if they're conservative.</p><p> </p><p> I'm just basing that on a guess, which is based on the way people are willing to do more extreme matches if they're liberal, but only traditional matches if they're conservative.</p>
