TEW 2020 Small Questions Thread

Recommended Posts

This maybe another stupid question but, why can't I see the other angles I've booked on the "Storyline: section of the game?

I'm supposed to have like 3 more angles where the WWE Mayhem Storyline is but I don't see them?

Let me know if I posted this in the wrong section btw :p

Edit:

Never mind! It seems they only show you your best previous segments...Once again, not sure why they changed that but whatever :D

More looking for opinion than asking question but, I wanted to add angles based on The Dark Order (AEW)'s "recruitment" promos, and would like to hear opinions of others who have seen them:

The speaker in those videos, do you think the angle should rate him on Entertainment, Charisma, or Microphone? Or something else?

And for the promo with Alex Reynolds in the hotel, should Reynolds be rated on Acting, Entertainment, or something else?

I loved all those promos, not a fan of the newer Brodie Lee ones though, but on the subject, what should Brodie be rated on in those? Doesn't really seem to me like Acting.

Okay so I'm probably a dummy for not being able to find it but how do you assign a manager to a new hire? I just cannot figure it out. Thank you.

Go to the roster screen, navigate to the worker, click on their name in yellow (where it says "Wrestler is an X year old...") and it will pop up a screen that lets you do various things including assigning managers.

My actual opinion is the dark order is kind of dumb and you shouldn't book them like that.

In terms of the actual gameplay, assuming the first scenario is heavily masked/darkened so you can't really see people, then Microphone.

For pretty much anything where the actual person is visible and talking and emoting, I'd almost always say Entertainment. Acting theoretically in rare cases if you're envisioning a heavily contrived/scripted drama scenario. Charisma (not sure that's even an option by itself) basically never.

Hey ya know in modding and it has like potentials and you can set it to good very good or excellent etc etc. Do I need to bother with that for like established wwe superstars, say maybe jericho in 2004. or should I mainly focus on using it to make sure say, Kevin steen in 15 years time is gonna hit his real life potential.

Edit : doesn’t matter, I’ve found explanation in the handbook. Should have thought to look there originally!

Wondering if anyone else has come across this.. Ryan Katz is a bad road agent, right? So I just gave him a vacation for 6 months, because I can't release him for WWE. That being said, every time I go to book a show I have a match or two where I'm notified that he is unavailable to be used as a road agent. I just don't think he should be in the pool of options considering his vacation.

I essentially found a work-around by asking him to become active as a personality, and then going back in to uncheck his box as a Road Agent.

Apologies if the answer to this question is obvious, but I've looked on the forums and the handbook for the answer and cant' seem to find it.

I've booked an angle featuring T-Bone Bright and Greg Gauge who are in a storyline together. When the angle resolves, I don't get a note telling me how it impacted their story. I've tried playing with different angle types, scripted, freestyle, using different key stats to rate them on, but no matter what it doesn't impact their story heat.

What am I doing wrong?

*I figured out what I'd done wrong - they were supporting roles in the story, not major.*

Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming they're on different sides, but I thought I should toss that out first.

Possibly an angle that's too short doesn't affect stories?

There are a few personality types that will go all out no matter what kind of show it is, but a lot of workers aren't going to really push themselves to the limit on TV (save that for the PPV!).</p>

Hey everyone, is there an option to turn off gimmicks wearing out? I clearly remember that it was possible in TEW 2016, but I can't find anything in the settings in TEW20.

Are you sure that was a thing in 2016? Turning off gimmick effects entirely was, and still is, an option, but I don't see that in particular anywhere.

Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone has worked out the best order to import worker/companies/moves/titles/etc. into another database?

For example, if I have created a company, along with workers, their movesets, titles, chemistry, broadcasting deals, schedule and so on, in one database - is there an established order in which I should import everything to add to a different database?

At the moment, I'm trying to work it out as I go along, but seem to miss something every time. Any pointers in the right direction would be massively appreciated, please.

Thanks.

Quick question, is there a reason why all mods atm have peoples stats really high and peoples pops really high in comparison to 16? For example a lot of mod makers are making indie workers popularity in the 70s when in past games they would be around the 40s. Thanks

I think that's a question for the modmakers individually as it's a wholly creative decision made by them. Maybe they want "indie workers" to be hireable by the big companies and that's the easiest way to go about it. Maybe it's to make sure if they're hired by a smaller company, their requested wage is more "realistic". It could be that everyone's working off the same base data and making tweaks to suit their desired scenario. There are a myriad of reasons why this may happen and only an individual modmaker can tell you why they chose to do X.

The mod makers are still figuring out how to balance the mods.
