Fame & Money (Monty Trescarde & Paul Huntingdon) vs The Rock City Stars (Rockin' Ryan Turner & Stan Manna)

I'm not a big fan of the tag team scene in SWF. This isn't DAVE 2005. I'll give it to Fame and Money

Fame & Money are in a new faction, and need a win to re-establish themselves

Fame & Money (Monty Trescarde & Paul Huntingdon) vs The Rock City Stars (Rockin' Ryan Turner & Stan Manna)

I have a soft spot for Monty Trescarde; he's a useful heel but not entirely the greatest. Perfect in a tag team and Huntingdon is a good partner for him as a more charismatic counterpart. I don't rate the Rock City Stars high enough to beat Fame and Money yet.

Fame & Money (Monty Trescarde & Paul Huntingdon) vs The Rock City Stars (Rockin' Ryan Turner & Stan Manna)

 - As said above, they're in a new situation and have to pull some heel hijinks to prove they belong.

In my books, while Fame & Money were bigger than The Rock City Stars they have just left a faction that was disbanded and now they need to find where they belong in SWF. On the other hand, The Rock City Stars could benefit from a third straight win to build some momentum.

Mikey Lau vs Scythe

Come on...Scythe is going to be a monster around the top of the cards with a touch more development for a long time. Lau's just here to get a good match out of him.

Mikey Lau vs Scythe

Scythe has dropped off versus his positioning at the start of the game, he needs the win here to start building him back to being an unstoppable force down the road

Main Event:

Mikey Lau vs Scythe

 - I like Mikey, a bunch. It's cool to see him rubbing shoulders with these guys BUT Scythe is a monster who needs to reclaim a little mystique. He's also a more surefire thing as far as a SWF product goes, with the look & star power.

Scythe and Mikey Lau did a great job in this match. Scythe is undoubtedly a big part of the future of SWF, I thought he would need more time to keep this level on a regular basis but now I think that if he had dethroned Rocky Golden he would have done a good job as a champion. Anyway I'm happy with Remo as a champion and Scythe's popularity is on the rise as I've already said. And Mikey Lau needs to be more consistent on this level!

Comments on diary / last episode: Wasn't expecting a 15 min match against Kobb to present Zeus, and I'm not even sure I like it that much booking-wise. Also, congrats for another solid main event!

@Wrestling Machine I agree. Looking back, it was bad booking. Episode 13 had less segments and more matches but it was a bad decision to use so much time for that match. Zeus should have won in less minutes. Valiant vs Brandon James was a good Main Event indeed! I'm happy about giving Brandon James the edge over Lau in their initial feud because James has more to offer than Lau in the beginning of 2020 in my opinion and he's delivering much more consistent performances than Lau. He's also the credibility as a former World champion to face any top face and on top of that he has probably the best manager in SWF in Krissy Angelle.

Loved that "ain't a SWF title, it's a NETSTREAM title" segment. Perfect heel act, and it makes sense too!

83 was huge! Has to be on of your best weekly tv rating right?

Thank you @Wrestling Machine. I hope also everybody sees Hollywood Uncensored as an upgrade to The Rat Pack or at least something refreshing for SWF. 83 ties the best weekly tv rating with Supreme TV Episode 8! It was unreal that USPW and TCW also got 83 the same week. This ratings competition is getting wild!

Justin Sensitive vs ZWB

 - New team means there's a push and maybe plans in the immediate future.

One Man Army vs Robbie Wright

SUPREME TV EPISODE 15

(Tuesday, week 3, April 2020. Bank Of Springfield Center, Springfield, IL. Attendance: 7700 SELL OUT!)

Atom Smasher def. Robbie Retro (76)

Illinois fans give a warm welcome to The Disco Stud. The Radioactive Wrecking Machine doesn't care about the local fans and starts destroying his opponent with one impactful move after another. Around the 10 minute mark, Smasher hits Retro with the Radiation Blast but The Disco Stud kicks out at 2. The crowd fuels Retro to make his comeback after a few dance moves that delights the fans. Retro got to pin Smasher after the Disco Ball but Smasher kicked out at 2. A perfect match to work the crowd that finished after 15 minutes when Atom Smasher connected the Mushroom Cloud on Robbie Retro. Smasher celebrated this victory with some poses and got booed by the crowd.

ZWB def. Justin Sensitive (62)

After Hollywood Bret Starr imposed his conditions ZWB will have to defeat all the members of Hollywood Uncensored, so in this match Zimmy faced the first member of Bret Starr's faction. Sensitive had a cocky attitude, similar to his leader, but it was ZWB who completely dominated this match from start to end. Zimmy showed his amazing aerial skills with a moonsault and a senton before using the 450 Degree Splash to finish Sensitive. ZWB raises one fist to show this is only the first step in his quest to face Hollywood Bret Starr.

ZWB copia.png     stable_hollywooduncensored copia.pngimage.pngJS Hollywood Uncensored copia.pngimage.pngLB Hollywood Uncensored.png

ANGLE: When ZWB was about to leave the ring, the rest of Hollywood Uncensored ran down the ramp and proceed to destroy Zimmy. The crowd booed loudly during the whole segment but Bret Starr and his boys didn't care a bit. "Bad, Bad" Lenny Brown, his next opponent, was the last one to hit Zimmy with The Star Treatment. Bret Starr celebrated Lenny's finisher and raised his hand (70)

Scythe def. Oliver Kobb (78)

The Reaper got the biggest pop of the night when he made his entrance. Oliver Kobb, formerly known as Kentucky Bill, had many fans in the crowd, some of them had driven for more than 4 hours to attend Supreme TV in Springfield. This match was all about storytelling. Kobb probably had watched Lau's match against Scythe last week and copied his strategy to avoid getting too close to The Reaper. Scythe knew what Kobb was doing and never got in a hurry, The Reaper took his time to catch Kobb in the perfect spot and finally smashed him with a Powerslam, but Kobb kicked out at 2.

The crowd was probably expecting a squash and got heavily behind Kobb after the pin attempt and that give Kobb more confidence in his match plan. Kobb even tried to pin Scythe with a roll-up but the referee couldn't count to 1. Scythe stopped Kobb's momentum with a thunderous running powerslam. The Reaper needed 16 minutes to end the match with the Choke Slam. Oliver Kobb received a round of applause. Match Of The Night.

Eric Eisen mini.png     image.jpeg

ANGLE: SWF booker Eric Eisen says he is going to make a huge announcement. First he reminds the fans that Master Of Puppets will take place this Saturday in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Then Eric Eisen says NETSTREAM is having a great success streaming Supreme TV worldwide and SWF wants to continue with this world challenge they are in. Finally he announces what will be the next PPV: Toronto Takeover. He says this event will be a permanent addition to the PPVs schedule and this way Canada will secure an annually SWF event!  (73)

Darryl Devine & Nicky Gilbert def. Dominic DeSousa & Sammy Smoke (54)

It was the worst match of the night but at least it was another opportunity to see the groundswell of support that the aussie prodigy Nicky Gilbert has among the fans. Devine and Gilbert dominated their opponents until Gilbert applied the Fisherman's Suplex to DeSousa to win the match. They tried to steal the show but they fell short.

One Man Army def. Robbie Wright (61)

It was Robbie Wright's first singles match of the year and The King Of Charisma had to face one of the lastest additions to the roster, One Man Army. Both wrestler made this bout a wild brawl from the very beginning. The only moments where they could rest where those that The King Of Charisma used to laugh at the fans and make them angrier. But One Man Army didn't lose the focus on winning this match and after 10 minutes of non-stop action he was able to connect the Guided Missile and cover Wright for the win.

Valiant Giedroyc SWF copia.png

Everyone was waiting for the Main Event where the SWF World Heavyweight champion Remo and The Crippler where going to take on Valiant and Rogue. After first The Crippler and then Remo made their entrances the fans were in shock when Valiant and Rogue made their entrance together! Not only that, the announcer Duane Fry said "Valiant & Giedroyc"! A shot of a fan holding a sign with a USA Presidential Election style that read "Valiant/Giedroyc 2020 Make SWF Great Again" quickly went viral.

Main Event:

Valiant mini.pngRogue mini.pngvst white.pngimage.pngThe Crippler mini.png

Valiant & Giedroyc (Valiant & Jack Giedroyc) def. Remo & The Crippler (76)

After the big surprises that were that Rogue was returning to his old Jack Giedroyc gimmick and Valiant and him were Valiant & Giedroyc again, the fans in Springfield would give unlimited support to the babyfaces in this tough match. The Crippler and Jack Giedroyc opened the match and the heat between them quickly became undeniable. The Crippler tried to submit Giedroyc but the babyface was able to scape while the crowd was chanting his name (again after many years). The Giedroyc tried to win the match with the Crashing On but the SWF World Heavyweight champion stepped in to help The Crippler.

The challenger and the champion finally got tagged in among "Valiant! Valiant!" chants. It was a short but very physical confrontation between them that got the fans hotter for their Title Match. Then The Crippler got tagged in and, when Valiant turned his back to tag Giedroyc, The Crippler went for a roll-up. Valiant kicked out at 2. The challenger was eager to punish The Crippler and connected the Patriot Missile on him. The referee made the 3-count and the madness in the crowd was unstoppable at this point. Valiant & Giedroyc closed the episode celebrating in the middle of the ring with Remo and The Crippler looking furious.

I didn't want to spoil the return of Valiant & Giedroyc (or Rogue turning to his old Jack Giedroyc gimmick) so I decided to label them as Valiant & Rogue in the predictions. It was a way to give them a big victory and also to put over Valiant before his tile match against Remo at Master Of Puppets. @SIser187 nailed it and Valiant pinned The Clipper, also setting up Jack Giedroyc vs The Crippler for Master Of Puppets.

What was Atom Smasher's rating? I guess he was the one with the higest rating in the opener, right?

When we almost have forgotten about American Wrestling the mighty USPW came back at their best. It will be a tough challenge to try to win the monthly rating war for the fourth straight month in the next episode, but first Eric Eisen and his guys have to take care of Master Of Puppets. Defeating USPW in a PPV would be the ice on the cake!

Atom Smasher got 73, Robbie Retro 56. Radioactive man is good!

Jack Giedroyc vs The Crippler

Could be a future World Title defense for Remo as there's some unsettled business here. Regardless, I think Jack being fresh off his turn still could use a strong victory.

SWF World Tag Team

Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) (c) vs The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon & Ranger)

Just a gut feeling. I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other though.

Brandon James vs Joey Morgan

Brandon can easily challenge for either the World or North American straps still. I think this is a reminder of that. Will be important for another prediction a little later.

Lenny Brown vs ZWB

Good match but...ZWB continues running through the new group.

SWF North American

Des Davids (c) vs Angry Gilmore

Probably the thank you run as Des could be ready for something bigger(a Rocky feud?) in my mind. There's also more ready made upper mid heels(and even a little further on the midcard with other names for that matter) for Gilmore to face as he breaks the record.

Main Event: SWF World Heavyweight

Remo (c) vs Valiant

Remo beats Valiant up pretty bad. Maybe even a stoppage finish and forces Jack Giedroyc(his next challenger perhaps) to watch his friend get helped or stretchered off. I don't know if you're doing that but it sounds cool in my head!

(BONUS 1) Which match will have the highest rating?

Let's go with the North American title match. They're compatible wrestlers.

(BONUS 2) Whose entrance will get the biggest pop?

Valiant is pretty hot right now so let's go with him.

Predictions for MASTER OF PUPPETS 2020

Jack Giedroyc vs The Crippler

 - Recently rebranded, has more character-wise going on ...and just my guy.

SWF World Tag Team

Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) (c) vs The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon & Ranger)

 - Coin flip.

Brandon James vs Joey Morgan

 - I always pick against Morgan on the big shows and it hasn't treated me well. But Big Money seems to just have more to do with your booking.

Lenny Brown vs ZWB

 - ZWB continues the path towards the title shot.

SWF North American

Des Davids (c) vs Angry Gilmore

 - The second expected "my guy" pick. I think it could be time for a change, maybe if you want Davids to start moving up or could just be for a fresh face.

Main Event: SWF World Heavyweight

Remo (c) vs Valiant

 - It's much too soon for Remo to drop the belt. I've liked his characterisation a lot more since he became champion!

(BONUS 1) Which match will have the highest rating?

 - Davids vs. Gilmore

(BONUS 2) Whose entrance will get the biggest pop?

 - Valiant

Comments on diary / last episode: I like the direction your storylines are moving and that you put story and character first ...but as said above, I feel like we need a couple more in-ring bangers on the free TV! Both to trump the competition and if I was really in world watching. If you can marry that with story too, all the better.

I also hope that Giedroyc isn't just a complete switch to a Valiant-lite white meat guy ...for my taste, Rogue needs more inner conflict, signs that he isn't ready to fully let go of his rogue-ish ways. I think for me it would make Valiant more interesting too, a good guy who fully wants to trust in his friend but the rest of the world isn't sure he should. Like the Sting/Luger thing in the mid 90's. Just my two cents, you do you!

Predictions for MASTER OF PUPPETS 2020

Jack Giedroyc vs The Crippler

I think Jack needs the win here to solidify his face turn, and I think this could be a good match to show he still has a little 'Rogue' in him.

SWF World Tag Team

Hawaiian Crush (Ekuma & High Flyin Hawaiian) (c) vs The Dallas Cowboys (Marshall Dillon & Ranger)

I don't know why, but I just can't get behind the Dallas Cowboys as champs

Brandon James vs Joey Morgan

I've been stung betting against James before, so I'm backing him here

Lenny Brown vs ZWB

ZWB continues marching towards his eventual match with Hollywood Brett Starr

SWF North American

Des Davids (c) vs Angry Gilmore

MASTER OF PUPPETS 2020

(Saturday, week 3, April 2020. Bridgeforth Stadium, Harrisonburg, VA. Attendance: 25000 SELL OUT!)

Opening video package with Metallica's song "Master Of Puppets" and the face of the SWF World Heavyweight champion Remo in the PPV logo.

The video starts with the story of Rogue turning face and returning to his old gimmick Jack Giedroyc. This first part of the video ends with The Crippler facing Jack Giedroyc in a 2vs2 match in the last episode of Supreme TV.

Then we are reminded The Dallas Cowboys' difficult path to a title shot at the SWF World Tag Team titles and we see the champions Hawaiian Crush holding the titles.

The feud between Brandon James and Joey Morgan takes the screen later, highlighting Morgan getting pinned by James under the gaze of Krissy Angelle.

Later the segment where Hollywood Bret Starr imposed his conditions to Eric Eisen and  it was decided that ZWB would have to defeat all members of Hollywood Uncensored to earn a title shot at Bret Starr's NETSTREAM Intercontinental title. This part ends with Lenny Brown hitting Zimmy.

Ana Garcia talking to the SWF North American champion Des Davids and Angry Gilmore appears on the screen and there's a short throwback at their previous match.

And finally Valiant's epic segment when he made his entrance to interrupt Remo's title celebration speech. The video ends with a recorded scene of Remo characterized as a master of puppets.

JACK GIEDROYC vs THE CRIPPLER

Rogue mini.pngvst white.pngThe Crippler mini.png

This was Rogue's first singles match after returning to his old gimmick Jack Giedroyc and a perfect match to work the crowd in Harrisonburg, Virginia. "Let's go Jack!" chants to start the show with the charismatic Crippler making fun of the fans. Gierdroyc hit The Crippler with a Commonwealth Superpunch early on the match, but The Crippler kicked out at 1. Then it was Crippler's turn to attack and he took Giedroyc to the ground for a submission attempt, but Giedroyc was able to scape a headlock.

The Crippler had another good opportunity around the 12 minute mark when he connected his finisher the Tombstone Piledriver on Giedroyc, but somehow he kicked out at 2! The crowd celebrated as it was Giedroyc's victory but The Crippler kept dominating until Giedroyc hit him with a Commonwealth Superpunch. The British wrestler was now in control and finished his opponent with the Crashing On. Big victory for Jack Giedroyc to open the show and make the fans happy.

HAWAIIAN CRUSH (EKUMA & HIGH FLYIN HAWAIIAN) (c) vs THE DALLAS COWBOYS (MARSHALL DILLON & RANGER)

image.pngimage.pngvst white.pngMarshall Dillon copia.pngimage.png

This was the second title defence for Hawaiian Crush, while The Dallas Cowboys had won their last three 2vs2 matches. It was a very divisive title match for the fans because there were two babyface tag teams, but they tried to steal the show and did a nice job. Ekuma put on a fantastic effort to match The Dallas Cowboys' power, first facing Ranger and then Marshall Dillon, but the true MVP in this match was the smaller guy in this match: High Flyin Hawaiian. When he got tagged in, the lightweight elevated the pace of the match and put the fans on their feet with his aerial strikes. Finally, High Flyin Hawaiian hit Ranger with the Pacific Crush to retain the titles. Hawaiian Crush shake hands with The Dallas Cowboys after the match in a good sign of sportsmanship.

BRANDON JAMES (w/ Krissy Angelle) vs JOEY MORGAN

image.pngw/ image.pngvst white.pngJoey Morgan mini.png

Joey Morgan got assaulted by Brandon James at The World Is Watching last month and later James beat Morgan in a Main Event match in Supreme TV. The crowd sided with Morgan in this match from the very beginning while Krissy Angelle gave the fans thumbs down. Morgan had a great start with an amazing standing lock that almost paralyzed James for two minutes. But when James got rid of Morgan he was able to punish him with a devastating elbow blow and different high impact moves. Morgan was in problems and around the 13 minute mark it got worse when James hit Morgan with a chair, an item that Krissy gave him while distracting the referee.

But Morgan stayed in the match after surviving a pin attempt and the crowd erupted "Joey! Joey!". Krissy tried to give James a chair again but this time she got caught by the ref and she was banished from ringside. James was still complaining to the referee when Morgan trapped him in a figure four leglock. James tried everything before tapping out. After 19 minutes of good storytelling, Joey Morgan celebrated with the fans one of his most prestigious victories in SWF.

LENNY BROWN vs ZWB

LB Hollywood Uncensored.pngvst white.pngZWB copia.png

After defeating Justin Sensitive, Zimmy continues in this match his quest to defeat all members of Hollywood Uncensored to face the NETSTREAM Intercontinental champion Hollywood Bret Starr. In the last episode of Supreme TV, "Bad, Bad" Lenny showed ZWB his merciless new style when Hollywood Uncensored attacked Zimmy after his match. ZWB is getting hotter and hotter with the fans each week and the "Z-W-B! Z-W-B!" chants where there for him during the entire match. But Lenny Brown is a tough client and started showing his great athleticism including  a pop-up rana and a wicked flying avalanche. The referee made the count but Zimmy kicked out at 1. Brown tried to keep pushing but Zimmy sent him out of the ring with a crossbody and then went for a suicide dive.

They went in and out of the ring many times in chaotic wild brawl action, sometimes behind the barricades. Lenny tried to finish Zimmy with The Star Treatment but ZWB avoided the contact and counterattacked with a knee strike, a perfect appetizer before the 450 Degree Splash. 1... 2... 3! Zimmy defeated the second member of Hollywood Uncersored!

ZWB def. Lenny Brown (70)

DES DAVIDS (c) vs ANGRY GILMORE

Des Davids mini.pngvst white.pngAngry Gilmore mini.png

This was the sixth defence for Davids. After losing to Davids in his first attempt to become the first 4-time North American champion, Angry Gilmore has a new opportunity in Virginia. Davids made his entrance with the American flag, probably to shoot at his Canadian opponent or to try to gain the approbation of the fans. This match was all about storytelling with Davids as the younger phenom and Gilmore as the legend. Davids had the advantage early on the match with his physical style, but later Gilmore even the match with his technical superiority and experience.

There were no pin attempts for about 20 minutes, but the action was fantastic and they were showing their resilience and determination to win the match while the advantage changed from one wrestler to the other. Gilmore hit Davids with the Sky High Elbow and then went for a camel clutch but Davids didn't let Gilmore position on him. Davids got up for a devastating punt before finishing Gilmore with the Touch Down. Gilmore looked completely disappointed after this loss. Match Of The Night.

REMO (c) vs VALIANT

image.pngvst white.pngValiant mini.png

77d9ff1cc84940388fc26d1ea6ddaac6-removebg-preview.png

The Californian all-American Valiant made his entrance to Los Angeles' band Red Hot Chili Peppers' song "Otherside" just as he did in his viral segment with Remo weeks ago. The entire Bridgeforth Stadium sang "How long, how long..." while Valiant acted like a politician running for president randomly pointing at people in the crowd and waving. Valiant's entrance got the biggest pop of the night (87)

The champion looked unimpressed despite the warm welcome Virginia fans gave to his opponent. The Destruction Sector, where most of Remo fans were seated replied to "Valiant! Valiant" chants with "4-time champion". The match had a slow start with both wrestlers taking a strategic approach, then they started to push each other and finally they exchanged blows in the middle of the ring for a minute or so.

10 minutes into the match and still no pin or submission attempts. Valiant connects an elbow blow to the mid section and rebounds to crash on the champion. Then Valiant applies a DDT and pins the champion but he kicks out at 1. Later Remo hit Valiant with a thunderous spear and made the cover, but the challenger kicked out at 2. After 15 minutes they were still very even. The crowd cheered Valiant again and the challenger connected a good combination before his finisher the Patriot Missile. 1... 2... No! Remo kicked out at 2! Valiant was very close to winning the title. Four minutes later Remo hit Valiant with another spear, but the challenger kicked out at 2 too.

When they passed the 20 minute mark, the match had gone for a little too long  at this point and both wrestlers were totally exhausted. They moved slowly and were unable to make any significant change until the champion reversed one of Valiant's moves and surprised him with a jumping cutter that left Valiant motionless on the ground. After 23 minutes, Remo connected The Destroyer on Valiant to retain the SWF World Heavyweight title. Remo made his first defence.

Jack Giedroyc vs The Crippler

Could be a future World Title defense for Remo as there's some unsettled business here. Regardless, I think Jack being fresh off his turn still could use a strong victory.

 - Recently rebranded, has more character-wise going on ...and just my guy.

I think Jack needs the win here to solidify his face turn, and I think this could be a good match to show he still has a little 'Rogue' in him.

Almost everyone expected Jack Giedroyc to win his first singles match after returning to his old gimmick.  I understand @Shmoe II worries. What I can tell you for the moment is that he won't be the same Rogue with another name or that he is not going to cheat on a weekly basis and fans will accept it just because now he's friends with Valiant. Some aspects of his character will have to change.

Brandon can easily challenge for either the World or North American straps still. I think this is a reminder of that. Will be important for another prediction a little later.

 - I always pick against Morgan on the big shows and it hasn't treated me well. But Big Money seems to just have more to do with your booking.

I've been stung betting against James before, so I'm backing him here

Joey's victory was probably the biggest surprise. I wanted this feud to continue and after Brandon James won the first match I thought it would be better for the story to even the score.

 - The second expected "my guy" pick. I think it could be time for a change, maybe if you want Davids to start moving up or could just be for a fresh face.

I was a little bit surprised when I saw how many people picked Angry Gilmore. I'm not into giving spoilers but I'll say just two words "Toronto Takeover".

Comments on diary / last episode: I like the direction your storylines are moving and that you put story and character first ...but as said above, I feel like we need a couple more in-ring bangers on the free TV! Both to trump the competition and if I was really in world watching. If you can marry that with story too, all the better.

In the beginning of the diary SWF had so much pressure because of there were not enough hot initial storylines that I had to use a lot more than a wanted the same players. After that period, I tried to give much more minutes to different wrestlers to present them properly and have more variety. Sometimes even sacrificing the ratings and that's why 'm still amazed that SWF have led the TV ratings for the first 3 months.

In my opinion sometimes AI companies (USPW and TCW in this case) put too many PPV level matches in weekly TV shows. On the other hand, it can be interesting to have some unexpected high level matches on weekly shows and it makes sense to compete against companies that are throwing bangers against you. I'll try to find a balance.
