…START FILM…</strong></em></p><p><em><strong>

</strong></em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

The "START FILM" leader disappears and immediately cuts into a panorama of London ripped clearly from legendary '70s wrestling program "Britain's Sport World", including a peppy brass quintet jingle.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

</em><span style="color:#4169E1;">"Britain."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>A sign reading MIND THE GAP.</em> <span style="color:#4169E1;">"Home to law. And order."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Buckingham Palace.</em> <span style="color:#4169E1;">"Home to queens. And kings."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The brass quintet stops and the scene once again abruptly cuts to a gentleman standing in the middle of an empty intersection in a garish tweed suit, brandishing a microphone. Though the presenter's face is too out of focus to really tell who he is, he's clearly a large man. He's also laying on a very thick upper-class English accent.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4169E1;">"And home to a thriving British wrestling scene. Much like this thriving intersection at rush hour,</span> <em>(a bicycle glides by, ringing a little bell)</em> <span style="color:#4169E1;">British wrestling has seen a resurgence. And with that resurgence has come newfound respect all over the world for all things British, especially British humour."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4169E1;">"But one man says, 'Let's not get too carried away.'"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Another abrupt cut, this time to a studio with a black backdrop and a close-up of a familiar speaker...</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

</em> <span style="color:#FF00FF;">"Let's not get too carried away."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The man some British wrestling fans might remember as "</em><em><strong>Ultra Camp" Chuck Frisby</strong></em><em> (with trademark headband) flashes his unmistakably toothy grin. Another abrupt cut and we see the presenter from the street, now recognizable as Men of Steel Combat's </em><em><strong>Greg "Highland Warrior" McPeterson</strong></em><em>.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Both are wearing remarkably ugly suits.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF00FF;">"I personally think professional wrestling has become far too silly. Just look at what you see on the telly! A strongman bench-pressing everything that comes near him? Some young man in a hoodie threatening anarchy? One chap trying to close another chap inside a casket? I can tell you right now, I am fed up with all of this silliness and I am fed up with it all being passed off as 'British' professional wrestling."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4169E1;">"Well, in your own words, could you kindly tell us what British wrestling is to you?"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF00FF;">"Oh, of course I could."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>…</em></p><p><em>

Awkward silence.</em></p><p><em>

…</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Frisby maintains his grin, gradually looking more insincere by the second, while McPeterson, suddenly realizing his question was misinterpreted, beckons for a more elaborate response.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

</em><span style="color:#FF00FF;">"Oh, you actually wanted me to talk about it!"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4169E1;">"Yes, if you would."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF00FF;">"Oh, well why didn't you say so? I don't know what I'd do if I weren't reading from a teleprompter."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Frisby deadpans to the camera and then continues.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

</em><span style="color:#FF00FF;">"British wrestling to me means going back to the days when men were men and had completely out-of-shape figures and wrestled long matches where nothing happened. I plan to bring that sort of wrestling back -- no silliness, no flash, nothing anyone would be remotely interested in watching. A completely proper wrestling program."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>McPeterson nods, leaning in.</em> <span style="color:#4169E1;">"I must say, this sounds like a fantastic program! Have you a name for it?"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF00FF;">"I certainly have! British Professional Wrestling. And our slogan is, 'Keep Wrestling Tidy.' We shall feature only clean, competitive matches and absolutely no silliness whatsoever."</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Right on cue, two scantily-clad women catfight onto the set.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF00FF;">"Oi, what's this?"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4169E1;">"I say, is this the sort of 'proper' British wrestling you're promoting, Mr. Frisby??"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF00FF;">"Come on, stop this at once!"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Frisby attempts to interfere and is predictably relieved of his pants and tackled, now in the fray with the two women.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#4169E1;">"Mr. Frisby!! I say, Mr. Frisby, stop this at once!!"</span></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The brass jingle return as McPeterson admonishes the three rolling on the floor, his voice gradually drowned out by the jingle as the scene dissolves into a shot of Big Ben, which in turn transforms into the BPW logo...</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>BRITISH PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong> </strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>

<p>Vince McMahon is getting up in age and is grooming Triple H to become the next owner of the WWE. However, Triple H is trying to take a shortcut and is using Del Rio to get there. Triple H and Stephanie have aligned with ADR, while Vince is teaming up with Ziggler in a battle of the titans.</p><p> </p><p>

The Shield has been showing signs of friction recently with Ambrose trying to distance himself from the group, and all of them traded in their titles for a MITB match. As The Shield goes for the briefcase, is there another wrestler who can step up and take it from them?</p><p> </p><p>

Other current feuds right now are Ziggler vs. ADR, Punk vs. Axel and Bryan vs. Orton! There are two tournaments being held for the US and Tag Titles, and then there are also a total of 16 spots in the two MITB matches. With just two weeks separating now and the PPV, what will happen next?</p><p> </p><p>

What does it take to change the world?

The answer to that question is two things; money and a man with a vision.

For years and years the biggest dream for any young, aspiring european wrestler has been to make it to the US, preferably the WWE. Why? Because it's the big time. The biggest company in the world. Of course most of them never make it that far and they end up retiring in obscurity...but what if it didn't have to be that way? What if someone could present an alternative to the "american dream" that most professional wrestlers have? Well, that alternative...is now a reality;

European Championship Wrestling.

European Championship Wrestling will feature some of the best talent that the continent of Europe has to offer. Our goal is to create a company that will be to Europe what WWE is to the America and, for the moment, the rest of the world.

We have the necessary funding.

We have the man with the vision.

We have...the alternative.

European Championship Wrestling -- Coming Soon....

Well, this is my fourth attempt at a dynasty here, so, on its start, i'm going to give it a lot of attention, as tomorrow it's my last class until August. I have very tentative plans for a year. I wanted to make either this one, a 1991 one or a SWF one, and i decided to make this one because both KieLyn and tg01 are doing very good jobs with WWF and WCW, respectively, on this era, and the same with E-V and 3rdString with SWF, and i didn't knew if it would bring any attention. Yea, yea, there are also lots of WWE 2013 dynasties, but as this is a common thing, i'm going to do it. I'm going to start it tomorrow, i don't know if this is necessary, but it's just a short preview.

The World Wrestling Entertainment has been the face of the Professional Wrestling industry for years now. Nobody can handle the challenge of taking them down. The ones that came close to it fell shortly after it. The ones that were rising up to do it in a extreme way also fell. And what happens now? WWE keeps rising, rising and rising. But with coming off a lackluster year of action in 2012, WWE needs to bounce back in 2013. And this is going to be a challenge that i'm very excited to accept.

Coming very soon, to a forum near you.

<p>What does everyone consider "too much of a stretch to buy?" when it comes to back story?</p><p> </p><p>

I've got an idea floating in my head about a group (2-4) younger workers banding together and starting a promotion together. It would be a 0/0/0 game for the most part, aside from that group of guys being committed to that particular promotion. Would that be sellable, or too "perfect" of a situation?</p>

You're greeted by the beaming grin of a ginger-haired man in a casual suit, standing outside what appears to be a disused warehouse in Seattle, Washington, with a graffitied wall and roller shutter door.

"Hey. Welcome to Pop! Presents, I'm Seth Koch... heh, be careful how you pronounce that". He smirks, and the camera zooms out to reveal a huge guy in a suit standing next to the door. "There ain't no Goodwill to be found in this part of Seattle! C'mon, I'll show you around. Welcome to The Club!"

After The Club's regular television opening sequence is played, set to

, a voiceover (provided by Koch) takes over as Seth is seen entering the building - after being patted down by security - and walking down a corridor and past several large multi-use areas. Several of the stars of The Club can be seen making brief (though sometimes humorous or characterful) cameos in the background; Chad Zuma is lifting weights in a corner, while DIAZ is delivering punches to a bag, held by his tag partner Murder One. Travis Stine stares down the camera, flexing as it rushes past him. Exodus Cade is slumped on the floor with a bottle in his hand, rambling on about something to Stevie Vortex, unaware that Vortex has headphones in and is headbanging away, oblivious.

"This is The Compound," continues the voiceover, "the privately owned arena we use to contain all the high octane action The Club has to offer. Every Saturday night at 9pm, the arena enters Lockdown state. Under lockdown, The Club is waived any responsibility for anything that happens to any active wrestler under contract. The staff are, in theory, exempt... but that doesn't mean it's not dangerous for us sometimes!"

A clip from last season plays, showing Travis Stine piledriving former colour commentator Ford Memphis through his own announce table.

"Well, to be honest, he deserved that one. But he has refused to ever work here again. Security at the front door is tight, however; no firearms, explosives or bladed weapons of any kind are allowed into the Compound. The competitors might be insane, but management aren't! Not after what happened last season anyway. The guy on the door - Justice - sees to that."

The voiceover finishes explaining the concept just as Seth himself reaches the stage area of the arena proper. "Live" Seth takes over presentation duty again as, in the octagonal ring below him, the members of Project FIGHT (Corbin Trent and Brad Novocaine) are sparring. For what it's worth, Brad has control, trying to lock in an armbar variation as Trent struggles against him.

"So here's where the magic happens! The stage and entrance ramp are fairly standard, but as you can see," the camera pans across to show the viewers the ringside area, which, in addition to the eight-sided ring, features a steel-cage-like fence around the perimeter of ringside, topped with barbed wire, "the safety of the fans is paramount, due to the intensity of the action and how close we let 'em get! And that's why we call it The Compound!"

We pan out to a wide-angle shot of the arena during a previous event. The match in progress is Sarvesh Dutt against Stevie Vortex, and Vortex has just wowed the three-quarters-full crowd with a tope con hilo which crushes Dutt against the cage wall - but as promised by Koch, leaves the fans unharmed.

"So that's the Compound, folks! But what's been happening in it? Well, for the next twenty minutes we're here to tell you just that!"

[This will continue in the backstory, but, er, I haven't written that bit yet. ¬_¬]

Casey and Cameron were still plying their trade in MAW and had become cornerstones of the roster there. From speaking to them after Rip Chord retired and handed the reins of MAW over to Sam Keith, Cameron and Casey were both a little unsettled. Like any job, working under a new boss wasn’t fun. They had to readjust to Sam’s preferences and tastes. It turns out they were a bit varied from Rip’s. Cameron and Casey remained vital parts of the roster and Cameron was even their main champion, but Sam was looking for a way to get the belt off of him in short order after Cam’s victory half-flopped. They knew I was unhappy with my situation in TCW. The only one of our foursome that was on a high note was Davis. He had just verbally agreed to sign with CGC in the middle of December and would officially ink the deal with them at the end of January.

The four of us had made plans to meet up and catch a show in Nebraska the second week in January. I had a passion for wrestling and was damn close to offering to work the show for free, just so I could get back in the ring. The others laughed at me and we “enjoyed” the show from the back of the bleachers wearing dark glasses and baseball caps to conceal our identities. We didn’t exactly blend in with the fifty or so people in attendance, but nobody approached us as we watched train wreck after train wreck inside the ring. We spent most of the night commenting on what we would have done differently. After three grueling hours of simply horrid wrestling we exited the building and headed to the local IHOP to grab a meal. The talk at dinner never strayed from wrestling; it never did with us. Davis was the butt of a lot of our jokes and tonight wasn’t an exception. Casey made a comment about Davis being able to have a better match than half the guys we had seen tonight and we all shared a laugh. Talk continued and I jokingly said that the four of us could have booked a show a hundred times better. I chuckled as I said it, but Cameron and Casey must have thought the same thing at the same time and looked to each other. They both looked at me and grinned. Cameron almost burst at the seams with excitement and pointed out that that could be the solution to all of our problems. Casey was fast to agree. They both went on a ten minute pitch of starting our own company to give us all a change of scenery. Davis remained quiet throughout; he had never been one to flaunt his fortunes to others.

When they first mentioned the idea, it was laughable. But the more they talked about it, the better it sounded. I had a lot of money saved up and while we wouldn’t be huge out of the gate by any means, we could survive if we played things smart. We spent the next two hours in that booth at an IHOP in Nebraska scribbling ideas on napkins. It was all good fun and when we got to our hotel rooms, I figured that was the end of it; we’d laugh about it in the morning. When we met for breakfast in the morning, the first thing out of Cam’s mouth was about his and Casey’s plan to pack up and move to Des Moines, where I had relocated to last April, and our settled upon target location the night before. They were really on board with this thing. The three of us began talking over things again, leaving Davis out of the conversation until he piped up. Davis said it was something he wouldn’t want to miss. We called him crazy for giving up his new job in CGC. We tried talking him out of it, but his mind was made up. That’s when I realized it.

Midwest Championship Wrestling had been born at an IHOP in Nebraska.

New Game from Me

After spending years with my 1883-almost 1985 WWF. I thought i might take a venture into todays age... Of course keeping an "Oldschool" flavor.. I was thinking of a storyline where WWE turned over NXT to run as an old school territory or two.. Eventually there would be a 100% break an the territory or two will evolve in to a new age National Wrestling Alliance and compete with WWE and TNA..

Does anyone find this intriguing or have the ability to suspend reality to find this game/scenerio credible.

Meanwhile, I would have to supress my urge to right a Magnificent Muraco promo challenging Bob Backlund to a world title match

Reads really well so far D-Lyrium. I'm stoked to see your take on The Club (wrap-around cage/fence wall and all), so I'll be eagerly waiting for the diary to start up proper, whenever that may be. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>Here's something I've been playing around with. Will probably work through it in a game. Thoughts/suggestions are always appreciated.</p><p> </p><p>

Gulf Coast Wrestling</p><p> </p><p>

Gulf Coast Wrestling is professional wrestling company founded by Andrew "Wolf" Hawkins in Fort Myers, FL. Hawkins, a Florida native, garnered significant fame in the local independent circuit before signing with TCW and being trained by Tommy Cornell. After a long awaited TCW World Heavyweight Title win in September of 2012, tragedy struck when Andrew's mother fell ill. At first, Hawkins requested a reduced schedule. Given that he held the company's most important belt (and considering Cornell's financial history), he was not granted his request. Eventually, the two parties reached an agreement. Hawkins was let out of his contract, though he had to sign a non-compete agreement that only applied to TCW's two direct competitors - SWF and USPW. Hawkins would be allowed to work independent shows, if he chose to.</p><p> </p><p>

In order to leave the door open to a return in the future (as well as having a ready made storyline for it), Hawkins retained the belt at the December PPV after interference from [insert one of two participants for the vacant title at January PPV]. After the PPV had gone off the air, Hawkins thanked the fans for their support and said he was looking forward to returning when the time was right. In a rare kayfabe breaking moment, the locker room emptied and TCW superstars wished him well. He then vacated the title, handing it over to Tommy Cornell.</p><p> </p><p>

The original purpose of GCW was to showcase local talent, as well as use some independent veterans, with the occasional appearance by "big" names to help the youngsters out all the while affording Hawkins the reduced schedule he had been looking for in TCW.</p><p> </p><p>

As time went on, both parties said all the right things. Then, the scandal broke. The fallout, and the ensuing fall from grace was precipitous...</p><p> </p><p>

(OOC: I'm thinking of running with a similar concept to Clabobby, though the 4 workers would be Florida natives...probably Wolf Hawkins, KC Glenn & The American Cobras). I don't want to give away the planned scandal, but it would be something that would create a negative relationship between Hawkins and Cornell - as well as their respective companies).</p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>“Hello, I’m Jacob DeLisle. I’m an 18 year old wrestling fan from Palm Beach Florida. I’ve enjoyed the spectacle my entire life, and am a bit of a historian on the subject. About a month ago, I got together with my brother and a small group of friends, most of whom were wrestling fans. Together we decided to give backyard wrestling a whirl. While I have no interest in performing in the ring, and by interest I mean a lack of athletic ability. I prefer staying out of the ring, focusing on the backstage portion of it. At the end of the day we had a good handful of people interested. 13 people wrestling at the very least, and they’re trying to recruit even more. The plan is that this is a trampoline fed, in the future, (when things hopefully pick up), will get some more people interested soon.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Our set is compromised of a standard 15’x15’ trampoline. Usually, our matches will be held without the net enclosure, but on some cases we decided we can use it as a faux-cage. Outside of the ring, set up directly beside it, is a ladder. This is to make up for the lack of turnbuckles and ropes. While we do not have the funds at the moment, I have plans to make this ring look like an actual wrestling ring in the near future. This’ll make for a more realistic look. My brother Todd made the entrance. He works at a scrap yard so he was able to dig out some good pieces of steel and got some wood from our dad’s shed to make a solid looking set. Wrestlers will come out from under a steel arch (that was once used for weddings) that we’ve sprayed black and we have the some plywood boards on either side with the company logo on it. Finally, also around the ring, we have a conveniently placed camper and boat, just to slam your opponent into. We’re also considering using the boat as our commentary booth, but this will likely be a game time decision. For lighting, as towards the main event, it will likely get dark, we have some floodlights that we can shine on the ring area and it should light up the area fairly well. Our sound system is an iPod dock I got for Christmas.</p><p> </p><p>

As we gather the money from shows, we hope to be able to improve the “arena”. Right now, fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs because we only have a limited amount. We don’t expect many fans at first, but hopefully, we’re putting our names out to the right people. I’ll be keeping you, the fans, and readers of this, up to date with those attempts. We will have a focus on storylines and matches, not unlike the WWE.</p><p> </p><p>

Our roster is comprised of 13 high school aged males and females from a multitude of areas. Some are drama kids, some are football players, we even have a cheerleader and dance team twins. Each gimmick is something they’ve created, their characters are up to them. My close friends are working with me, backstage, or anywhere away from the ring for this. Refs, commentators, writers, etc. To say I’m excited about this would be a huge understatement. I hope this has gotten you ready as well, for…</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>
