Your 2020 plans

Haven't played these games (or really been a wrestling fan) in a long time. Excited to jump back into the series. Gonna spend a while learning the game on the demo. Once I feel confident excited for the 2008 mod that's currently being worked on. Got a whole plan for re-booking Samoa Joe's 08 title run, making Styles the face of the company, solidifying the knockout division the best women's division in the world, and figuring out a plan for guys who never got the spot light in the era (Archer, Lethal, Creed, etc)

Once the demo is out I’m going to pour over all the rosters and see what’s changed, maybe run a watcher game a couple of times over and start making a shortlist of workers I wanna use. As for the full release, I’m toying with the idea of creating a West Coast Alliance and running three Indy feds at once, a PROGRESS-style promotion in British Columbia, a women’s promotion in Washington and a crazy Mortal Kombat meets wrestling type company somewhere in California. If not I might just play as 4C again if their roster is any better this time around. (2016 was rough for them)

I'll run the demo a couple/few times with different companies to get a feel for the new systems, but TCW will most likely be my first main game. In TEW16, that company always seems to be the one that hooks me in for long-term games.

<p>Play that sucker! Lol.</p><p> </p><p>

In all seriousness I'll take a look at the C-Verse, make some mods (nothing too extreme and try not to make it too easy for what I plan to do but things that'll make it enjoyable for me) then take over SWF and restart the youth movement I'm doing in TEW 2016 (I may even convert my 2016 data).</p>

<p>I almost never use the mods. I enjoy the CVerse which was created too much. I especially like to see how characters progress/regress between versions. I remember playing TEW 2010 on Steam(the first one I ever played) and really liking a few different characters(can't think of any off the top of my head right now) and see them change organizations and skills.</p><p> </p><p>

Though I usually end up creating my own organization, IWA(Independent Wrestling Association) when I first start up the game. I don't always play as them, just see where they go.</p>

<p>Read over the in game hand-book (obviously). Pour over the C-Verse changes which will take a few hours. See if a MAW or NYCW is still about and play with them to get used to the new features. Then, if CGC are still going, start a save with them, coupled with a watcher save that I'll run as a Dynasty just to explore the changes to the game world and track them.</p><p> </p><p>

Plus, others might get a kick of seeing how different all our games end up.</p>

Since I'm for some reason obsessed with ACPW, I will look to see if they are still afloat and if they are, play as them forever. Other companies such as PGHW, BHOTWG, and NYCW will be where I try and play as well. But ultimately, going to local to global is a challenge I want to complete as I've tried many times and never quite finished.

<p>My first save is on the real world data going to be an Impact Wrestling 2020 save - planning to not making any changes in the first 2 months and keeping the same roster then gradually mould things into my own.</p><p> </p><p>

For the first week of beta ,going to play around with the Cornvell world and see what its all about.</p>

First check out all the European promotions and hire my good (actually pretty bad) old Romanian compatriots Abonimable Snowman and Acheron. Never really played a lenghty save in the C-Verse, n'or one with a smaller that Cult company, time to jump into it with a nice European conquest.

And of course, play as NXT in the real world mod as soon as it drops. Gotta do Tomasso & Johnny justice & seeing how getting sent main roster talents and having my boys called up is gonna make everything really unpredictable

I will probably jump in as TCW as I always do. Play a good 6 months in game time and then probably try a current day real world mod at that time. TCW has always been my favorite going back to when it was HGC. The one thing that always bothered me was Tommy Cornell leaving though. I might play a game where Tommy Cornell returns or something.

For 2020 plans I think I'm finally going to run a real world mod. Likely won't play as WWE because the don't really run the style of product I like to play as. Thinking about New Japan or AEW, or maybe even starting my own promotion in the US and trying to take on all 3 of them. That actually sounds like a lot of fun. Will have to sit down and edit some of the workers to my liking and then take off from there.

Returning Tommy Cornell to TCW was one of my more happier moments in my last save. Bought out 21st right before I was about to run my Royal Rumble too, so it was all too natural to have him come back and win it

<p>First thing is to load up a default save to check out the changes to C-Verse. In previous years I was a RW player only, but something about then C-Verse clicked with me in 2016 and its pretty much all I play now. Secondly, I will take a look at how much work it will be to edit the data to bring some of my 2016 saves into 2020. I know the converter doesn't exist, but I have two saves I would really like to bring to 2020, so I'll be checking out the feasibility of doing that. </p><p> </p><p>

The one gameplay change I think I'm most looking forward to is going to being able to run a child/developmental company. So that will probably be my first save.</p>

<p>I'm already setting up the Rising Storms 91 Mod for a conversion. Given the new Training Facility depth, I'm inclined to delete 95% of all workers to debut and just turn on new workers from 92 onwards. </p><p> </p><p> Going to play All Japan and wanna be down to a max of 6 foreigners in the roster by late 93(Stan Hansen and Steve Williams are locks, then probably Kroffat & LaFon, and then one more younger Heavyweight and a touring Mexican junior). Not more than three tour signings a year to keep the roster very organic. Really excited to play around with the new tournament tracker for Champion Carnival but also considering actually promoting the Odo Tournament they've been doing for the last couple of years, so I got a elimination tournament in there as well. </p><p> </p><p> Gonna be a challenge to not be super repetitive with the main events, as except for the four pillars there is not too much coming up there. Guys like Andre, Abdullah and Terry Funk might get one or two goodbye tours but then the focus switches to the main roster. In the rising storms mod there are so many odd Americans in the roster, who were there for a cup of coffee only, like Glen Ruth f.e. lol </p><p> </p><p> Very difficult is going to be the Junior Division, because if I go by the aforementioned rules, I really only have Masanobu Fuchi, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi and Yoshinari Ogawa as Japanese juniors as of right now and my own character(I always put a character with good potential but pretty bad starting stats as the booker in my promotions), who is a good two years from being any threat in any division. </p><p> </p><p> I'm gonna play around a lot with the new Tour options and as I have not read the complete Dev Journal to have a couple of surprises as well, I'm excited how accurate I'm able to book tours now because in TEW16 I always ended up gaming the system by having three to four shows a week during a tour. ^^</p><p> </p><p> Well if anybody actually took the time to read all this, I guess it's quite apparent that I'm super excited for this! Now, it's time to read up on you guys' plans! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="BoredomTM" data-cite="BoredomTM" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47197" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The company went bankrupt and so there are no files...but you might be able to download it again by fiddling with those internet archive pages.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Haha that must be a coincidence because I was actually looking for the game today. I also booted up the old Extreme Warfare Deluxe with DOSBox. Good memories in the teenage days haha</p>

What I'll do is check out the current state of women's wrestling in the C-Verse, see what new women's companies there are (if any), what companies have gone integrated or added a women's division, who's retired and what new hot prospects there are, and then go with one of the women's companies, probably QAW.
